I'm guessing I'm not the only one who will probably play the game... we should make a group clan thing when it comes out. It'd be cool to play with you all.

Don't know what else to say. If I come across other cool things, I'll post them, or yeah. That trailer above was rather sweet... I would watch a feature length movie in that vein.

I'm pretty stoked for this game, the only MMO I have ever played was Runescape. I definitely plan losing my life to this game.

I have no idea if I will start playing this game and enjoy it or not. It's going to be really weird going from Star Wars Galaxies to Star Wars: The Old Republic. If I do that is. Other than that, the game looks nice and looks like it has good potential.

Yeah, I kinda hate mmo's to be honest (massive amounts of grinding and idiots), but I plan on giving this a shot.

@Kerstov- That's what I'm thinking too. I thought of joining Galaxies years ago, but it was right after they did that big change, and the folks I knew playing it weren't too fond. So yeah... looking to see what the reviews and word on the street is first. If they're really going to do the job of mixing in the RPG stuff, cause that's a large part of what's attracting me.

I think the SWTOR is more aimed at th KOTOR players, since they all can seem to relate to it. Still hoping it will be tons of fun, though, even though I've never played KOTOR at all. I heard there will be lots of quests and so much grinding in TOR, though, which I guess I would already be use to. lol


I know what change your talking about. But, both old SWG and new SWG have their ups and downs. The old SWG actually still lives (for them most part). People have been rebuilding it and it's called SWGemu.

That's what I've seen to be true, though my haphazard following of the game. It probably will have many tie-ins to the games. (Which are a lot of fun, if you're an rpg fan)

I'm hoping there's more of the quests and less of the "Level 3812 mining" but... xD

I've heard so much about the classes in TOR, though, and descriptions of some kinda threw me off and didn't make much sense. Although, I've heard you can choose from sooo maany different races, which I'm excited if it's true. lol. I could not imagine a Ewok as a Bounty Hunter with a jetpack. I would be scared to death.

I liked the look of everything but this: PTP. That's what kills me. They should have a basic version that is free....

I'm playing this, as soon as I get the cash. I think the ability to earn the right to become a Jedi later on in the game will be so awesomio...

I would probably choose trooper....or perhaps that Agent. That looks pretty neat of a class. hehe

My guess is the game will be priced similarilly to WoW, which is like 15 bucks a month. For me it would be well worth it, that's like 2 hours of work money a month for countless hours of entertainment.

Yes, but unlike WoW, this game has a much better feel to it, though I'm sad to have learned that it was pushed back *I first heard it was supposed to come out this summer* The sheer number of race/class combinations provides great depth to begin with.

Also, you may not like the fact that it's PTP, but really, I played a FTP game for about a year, (Last Chaos for any of you that want to know) and after you reach a point, the only way to progress through the game is to buy items from the item shop, which cost real money. Me and my dad, (Who both played Last Chaos at the time) did the math, and it was actually cheaper to get World of Warcraft, all the expansions, and time for a year, for both of us than to continue playing Last Chaos, buying items from the shop, so we could continue to level up and compete in the weekly PvP for the Castle (Which, looking back, was really the only thing to do, take over the castle, get rich quick, come back next week and do it all over again)

I plan to do something similar, on the subject of quasi guilds. I'm more of a fan of what you mentioned, just helping each other out and such.

What class will I be first? Probably smuggler or one of the Imperial intellegence types. Liking the multitude of planets. :]

I will keep track of my impressions for you guys-- not sure what I'll be allowed to share details-wise, but I'll post something here next week.

I was indeed, just finished up.

It is a story driven MMO as was reported. Questing, especially class quests, are a delight. I didn't get far beyond the starting planets, or play through group content, but I can say I will look forward to official release.

And it looks like Revan (and the Exile's) story isn't finished. That's all I really care about anyway.

Gameplay is fun!

The story + voice overs that have been injected into the game are worth it by themselves.
