Yesterday...*Ahem* During an episode of The Closer....daaaah...I didn't full-on break down, 'cept inside. They were talking about somebody's dad who'd been murdered, then....ah...it was bad...so very bad....Could melt into a puddle of tears right now thinking about it.

Re: What's the saddest movie that you've seen?
Not really a movie, but the Superman: The Animated Series episode "Apokolips Now!". Spoilers: . . . . Darkside actually defeats superman and demands that the people of Earth bow before him. Instead, Superman's police friend, Dan Turpin stands up defiantly against Darkside, leading a revolt against him. Darkside eventually is forced to retreat but as he leaves, he vaporizes Dan Turpin out of spite. The episodes ends with Superman standing next to the grave tearfully paying his last respects to his friend. Superman's quote at the end always makes me tear up. "Good-bye, old friend. In the end, the world didn't really need a Superman...just a brave one."

Re: What's the saddest movie that you've seen?
Thor is now at the top of my list of films that have saddened me to no end...Ai, Valar...I would have cried the first time I watched it, but mum was in the room, so I had to be content with watching the credits roll while I had an ocean in each eye. The I watched it again and wound up near-soaking my stuffed cat (gimme a break, I use it as a pillow... ) and then I watched it again...same reaction. Then the next day we ordered it again and watched it until the time ran out. I swear, it made me cry/tear up every. single. time. And yes, that was having watched it six to ten times.
It's that weird love for the bad guys, I suppose...gets me every time...*Sulks and cries again while watching fan vids*

I'ma with Curfew.... I don't think I've ever cried/teared up at so many different parts of a movie. The end was a given..... but there were other parts when Loki had certain expressions..... I just felt so sorry for him....

E&A, like at the "Tell me!" scene...*Sniffs* Tom is an excellent actor, managing to put that much raw emotion into his voice and eyes...it was amazing.

Re: What's the saddest movie that you've seen?
Exactally! But there were little bits as well.... Such as when they first arrive at Jotunheim.... he kind of looks scared (which reminds me of Alya's fic). Or right when Thor is banished, he looks rather shocked.... and lost.
And that one deleted scene from before the coronation never fails to reduce me to tears. Normally, it'd be a Crowning Moment of Heartwarming, but knowing what happens later makes it sad because you see that they were brothers once.

Re: What's the saddest movie that you've seen?
Egads...*Remembers the bit with the Jotuns* Ands when that one Jotun grabs his arm...he looks terrified! Ands then when he finds out about...what he is...and he's actually crying...and then that bit before the coronation...*Wails* Thor is so mean to him! And then that look that he gets when Thor says "You're going to let my brother and I have all of the glory?" and Loki gets that adorable look that's like "Really?" and...and...*Sobs*
And then of course there's that bit right before they leave, when he gets on his horse...I's can't help but think, when he takes that one look around before leaving, that he kinda knows it's a goodbye. And when he huggles his mother...naaaaaaaaw...*Melts* That's also heartbreaking, especially when Thor walks in and ruins it...and when Odin is *Spoilers* and Loki goes over and touches his hand, it's sort of...like it lets us know that he doesn't hate Odin at all, still loves him like a son loves his father, but is just so conflicted and...
Actually, pretty much every face he makes that isn't one of outright joy, is so sad...so very very sad...
