*Back on topic* I think Saphira looked horrible in the movie. Her scales looked like feathers, and I could have sworn she had hair on the top of her head.

I thought the voice made her sound mature, and let's face it. At just under two years old, she's more mature than Eragon and he's 16.

Yeah, Eragon's just kinda stupid sometimes. He tries to hard to be mature and that just makes him look dumb. Saphira has the wisdom of the Dragons, so she was probly more mature than him when she was in her egg!

Well yea, she has the ancient wisdom of her race.

bah! Please. Saphira has more wisdom than the entire dragon race combined! I don't care if Glaedr is older than her, Saphira is even more wise than him! Not to mention she's intelligent, beautiful, strong, fierce, proud, kind, merciful, and any other good traits you can think of. Heck, even her extreme possessiveness of Eragon is good; it keeps him outta trouble. Saphira is, in the most basic words, the perfect role model for the perfect human. If it were possible, everyone should be like Saphira I LOVE SAPHIRA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also, I think she looked gorgeous in the movies, although the feathered wings did throw me off a little bit. But, if you ask me, there is nothing Hollywood can do that can make Saphira look ugly.

how do you know that? for all the information we have been given, Saphira is the smartest and wisest dragon that ever lived. plus, i just love her. i'm not obssessed with her.

i've written an amazing short story that people seem to like. that's a different kind of genius than Einstein, obviously, but it's still genius. and I have come up with a theory about the universe that makes a lot of things sense. unproven as of yet, but still a theory that I should look into when I get older.

but it's still genius, now isn't it? and may I remind you that theory is the beginning of solution and answers.

I was looking on the imdB for Eragon and it said that the effects people tried to make them look like a scale-feather mix. They called them "scleathers." Sutpid I know, but it was the best they could come up with.

No offense, md, but she looked wierder with the scleathers ( ) than she would have without them.

but the book said that her wings were membranes, not "scleathers." Personally, I think she would have looked more sinister with membranes for wings. I don't why, but membranes look sort of demonic.

but she is also supposed to come across as kind, loving, and merciful. somehow, i don't think membrane wings would have helped with that.

I think they would have made her look more graceful and light. The scleathers made her look heavier than a freight train.(She probably is, but still...)

I saw it in a dream. There was a news thing on my homepage, a few years from now. It said that not only is Stefen Fangmeier going to be replaced (by who, I don't know), but it also said that Ed Speleers is going to remain in the role of Eragon, Rachel Weisz is still going to voice Saphira , and the guy who played Murtagh is still going to play him.

oh, I thought movie Saphira was gorgeous. obviously, i didn't like the wings, but everything else about her was beautiful. now, I like book Saphira better. It allows me to make my own picture of her, and let me tell you, she is the most beautiful thing you could ever lay eyes on in my mental picture of her.

Oh, I agree with you. She was really cute as a hatchling. I absolutely loved her eyes and those cute sounds she always made. And I already said I wasn't a fan of the wings. But it was only those things that tarnished her appearance, if it is possible to tarnish it. I really do think she was gorgeous in the movie and sooooo LIFELIKE!
