Well, I really didn't have a name, but I have been looking up names for charries and one stuck out to me. I can't remember it, sos don't ask me. But is said something about great dark one. From there, I began to think of something with which I could apply those adjetives to. That is how Nidhog came into existance, I knew that I had horribly short histories on practically all of my charries, so when I started the history, I let my imagenation free. I created an entire story and have charries on other forums that are part of it. The powers, I thought about for a long time and I chose the most evil I could think if.

Fire of the Forgotten-He forces spirits(the beings who most deserve to be free) to super power his fire.
Claws from the Deep-He forces the very earth to his will. I thought of this when I said he was locked away beneath the earth.
Breath of Corruption- He can control those who are unable to stop him, what is more evil than bending those who are good to your will untill you or they are dead.
Sonic Slash- What is worse than if you can fly, having that taken away from you by one single blow.
The Tainted Spirit- What is more evil than taking others spirits anf bending them you your will.

Ha ha, actually I know how you came up with the name! For my favorite book, The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel, contains NidhogG!

In other words, then, Nidhog (or Nidhoggr in the old Norse) is trying to kill the "World-Tree" and thus bring about the end of the world, the Ragnorok. (which I will be using as the name of one of my charrys, so no using it! lol.)
