Saphiraforums was made from the original notion to cater towards the fans of the Inheritance Cycle and Christopher Paolini following. The forum has since then become a place for friends and a social group. The forum is not dying however we all know life goes on. Saphiraforums will remain a single entity with its current moderation and administrative team. A few modifications will always be in the works, but keep in mind that the individuals that started this forum now have real jobs to tend to.

On another note, I have noticed an ungodly amount of spam throughout the forum. Either fix this problem or I will start going through posts and giving out instant permanent bans. I reserve the right to not have to read junk just to get to the occasional good post which in all actuality shouldn’t be the case because we have several intelligent people on this forum that have just gotten lazy. I want to be able to read through a bunch of good well thought out and organized posts to get to the very few spam posts. Is that too much to ask?

If spam keeps up we will drop the ranks and make it so post count doesn’t mean anything. Think of this as a privilege.

In other personal news, I just got a new job at Huppins / onecall.com being the lead installer and lead administrator of their control 4 systems install team. I’m excited. Whoohoo for salary!

Three cheers for this! The one thing that keeps me so inactive is the amount of low posts in some of the parts of the forum.

Only my opinion, but I see no point in a ranking system.

I really, really believe that if there was no kind of ranking system or post count tracking, the forums would be a much better place with more thought out posts, because unlike the current situation where DragonRiders are, let's be honest, listened to a lot more than anyone else, people will be known for the quality of their posts and not just their name being big and bright.
