–Magic: [color=#FF0000]Arkel can use magic very well, but not the magic known today. He uses and even more ancient form that doesn’t require words only will power. He can use this magic in either form and it is very powerful. [/color]
–Healing Fire: [color=#FF0000]Arkel can breathe three different types of fire. He can breathe an Ice Fire, which is different from just regular Ice Breathe. He can breathe regular fire. He can also breathe a healing fire which is a bluish-green. [/color]

Character Personality: - [color=#FF0000]Arkel doesn’t trust anybody, especially after his parents’ murder. Those that he does trust his is careful not to get too attached because they will die and he will live on. After being trapped for so long he wants to make friends someone to talk to, but his caution always comes first. He isn’t very humorous and can’t really find it in himself any more to not be serious. His life was taken from him and his main purpose at the moment is to get free and kill Thead. He is also driven by another thing he was taught by his tutors, that is his soul-mate. It is more than what people think; his soul-mate has one half of his soul, as he has one half of hers. This drives him on, knowing that sooner or later he will find another DragonLord that he can spend a few more million years with. Arkel has always loved dragons since he is almost one himself. They have a better chance at befriending him than others. When he does get out of his imprisonment, he will be very confused at all that has conspired since he was gone, and he will be skeptical of Rider and Shades and the fact that Galbatorix is now the self proclaimed king over what had been his home. [/color]

Character History: - [color=#FF0000]Arkel was born to a farming family. His remembers helping his dad plant citrus fruits in their fields amidst the huge rain forest like trees. He had always been able to do things better than his father or mother, but that never gave way to pride. His life was pretty ordinary till his twenty-fifth year, four days till be was to be married. Everything for the wedding had already been planned, so Arkel went for a walk deep into the forest surrounding the village. He was very much alone as far as he knew when a voice suddenly called to him [i]Arkel.[/i] “Who’s there?” he answered back as he turned around and around searching for the mouth that voice had come from. [i]Arkel, it is time to find out who you really are.[/i] “What? Who said that? Show yourself!” he yelled into the trees. The voice kept repeating this to him and he kept telling it to show itself; finally it said [i]Okay[/i].

Arkel suddenly felt an odd tingling in his body, as if he was light as air. He looked down at his feet as yelled in fright; his legs and feet were turning to a fine red mist, and the rest of his body was slowly changing as well. He could not stop it, nor could he move. Within seconds his entirety was a spreading mist. It spread to the shape of a dragon then felt a strange swirling and his body formed. He opened his eyes and was very startled to see a scaly snout in front of them, he looked over the rest of his body and saw the same scaly surface, then the voice came to him, [i]I have showed myself as you have asked.[/i] “I see you now where. All I see is the result of some crude trick of yours.” [i]What you see is me and you, I am inside you, next to your soul, we soul-partners, and you are a DragonLord.[/i] “What is a DragonLord,” he asked the voice. [i]A DragonLord is a person whose soul is bonded with a dragon when the baby and egg are laid at the same time. The dragon’s soul leaves the egg and enters the human’s body, so then the body carries two souls and when the dragon decides it is time, opens the communication and the human can change forms as you have just experienced. This kind of bonding was created when magic first began, a small well of it was all of it at first and the people and dragons were afraid because it killed all who touched it. We were all very primitive back then in our beliefs and so the dragons and people would leave a baby and an egg there once every year. The magic rose slowly after the baby human and dragon were left there, the magic rose and touched them both at the same time creating and explosion of magic This bonded their souls and released the magic into land, that is how magic first came to be and how DragonLords came to be also, and there is no set time that a DragonLord is created. To change forms you just have to concentrate on your dragon form and think of nothing else or you will die. For your life time I will remain in a coma state, but you can call on me at any time when you wish, when you choose to, you will change into dragon form one last time, and then I will control the body and live on, and your soul will slowly deteriorate till you are no more.[/i] “So when I get old you’ll live on with a renewed body and why would I want to give up the body if I’m not?” [i]No, you are a DragonLord, created by magic which is immortal making you immortal, unless you are killed. And our dragon form will continue to grow bigger as you live and will always remain strong. You will one day get tired of this world and want to exist no longer, and then it will be my turn to live. But until then you control and live and I will ‘sleep.’ One more thing, don’t marry that girl it will only cause heartache as you will live and she will die.[/i] The voice then went quiet and Arkel was alone again in his mind and suddenly he felt his body going mist again and he returned to his human form. The dragon’s word rang in his head, and he couldn’t explain why but he knew that what the dragon had spoken was true.

He went back home and canceled the wedding, saying that things had come up and it would hurt them both if he married the girl. He shortly after left home adventured around the world looking for other DragonLords. He did find two actually they were paired with each other and from them he learned everything he needed to know about being a DragonLord. He learned that he had been chosen by nature to protect the peace and keep do his best to crush evil where it lay. In the hundred years he stayed there his changed little and he learned how to harness the magic that created him.

When he finished his training he returned home to find his village a waste land, the forest had been badly burnt and did not look like it could recover. He searched long and hard to find an answer to who had done this and was finally led to the [u][b]other side of the world and to the area’s Southern Hills,[/u][/b] a large area covered in steep hill that were slowly rising higher and would eventually be the Boer Mountains. There he met a man in large castle who said that a madman named Thead had come in and destroyed the whole area looking for someone. The man offered Arkel a room to stay in and Arkel took it. Late in the night Arkel awake as a rope was slipped around his neck, he kicked the man off and pulled out his dagger and wounded the man and forced him into the light, it was the castle owner the one who had offered him boarding, but it was also as Arkel found out, Thead. Arkel had his dagger to Thead’s throat and Thead said, “If you know what’s good for ya, you better let me go.” “Why would I do that?” Thead didn’t answer he just kicked Arkel in the groin and fled outside. Arkel gathered himself together and hurried as fast as he now could outside, and stopped. He was looking into the eyes of a very dangerous, very large dragon. [i]You still want to play?[/i] “Yes!” Arkel changed into his dragon form, though he was only about half the size of Thead. Arkel attacked, putting everything he had learned into the fight, but knew he was out matched.

The battle led to the part of the Southern Hills that were active volcanoes. The two DragonLord fought each hurting the other but Arkel was taking the worst. He ran out of energy and was unable to block a blow from Thead and was sent hurtling down toward the earth. Thead dove after him, intent on putting him in the lava; his forelegs hit Arkel’s chest driving him faster and faster downward. At the last second Arkel used his smaller size to claw his way around Thead and plunge him into the boiling top of the Smoldering Hills. Arkel tried to fly to safety, but fell to the side instead; he used the magic flowing around him to protect him from the lava. He hit the ground and rolled into a river of it and slid down it, caking himself in it. He could not get, the lava was hardening faster than normal at the that height and the last thing Arkel saw before lava covered his eyes was Thead soaring out of the magma and into the sky, burned badly. Arkel was molded into the stone, but the spell kept him alive and when he found he couldn’t get out, he retreated from his body into a state like his dragon half. This stopped the bodies need for oxygen, food, and water, and now he waits, till someone frees him from his stone prison, unaware of time and change. [/color]

Weapons: –Ice Fire: [color=#FF0000]Ice Fire is something that every DragonLord has the ability to do. It is actually burning ice. It freezes whatever it touches solid and then it melts it into nothing.[/color]
[u][b]Regular Fire: [color=#FF0000]He doesn't have a fire lung to breathe fire instead he has special glands that contain chemicals that burst into flames when they come into contact with each other. There is also a specialized tube that run from his lungs to the back of the glands causing pressure which expels the chemicals in a gas form. There is another small tube running from the front of the glands to two large fangs in his mouth. The center of these fangs are hollow to allow the chemicals to come out and hit each other and burn.[/u][/b][/color]

Special Abilities: -Healing Fire: [color=#FF0000]This fire is unique to DragonLords and is unexplainable to what makes it real, just that it is. The fire is can heal all wounds on anything, including another DragonLord, but the fire will not work on one’s self. [/color]

Likes: - [color=#FF0000]Freedom from all imprisonment. Open spaces, mountains, and the occasional thick forest. [/color]

Dislikes: - [color=#FF0000]most small places, flat barren land, disturbed peace. [/color]

Character's Physical Description: [color=#FF0000]Arkel is roughly 6’ 2” and his hair is kept short by using his magic to cut it. He has a strong build and very, very strong thanks to his dragon soul-partner. When Arkel uses his dragon form, now he is extremely gigantic, by far the largest dragon in Alegaesia. His wing span is well over ¾ of a mile across. At his full height his head just barely crests 200 hundred feet. His scales are a bright red color. When he flies he blocks out the sun completely and a red light reflects of his scales painting everything in red. [u][b]He has two large fire-fangs at the front of his mouth; these sit in front of his other teeth when his mouth is closed.[/u][/b][/color]

Well time is an illusion as far as I'm concerned so i didn't think about it much. and I could change the whole thing if you guys want me too, i was think about doing a vampire character, I haven't met one on here yet.
