well, there are already threads just like this, but i think it will be arya.
they will need the 2nd. rider to train fast. MUCH faster than eragon. she knows so much already. the egg is green, so is her msgic....but like i said, there are other sinmilar threads with much more detail.

Eragon doesn't have the time to train Roran before the last battle, nor the teaching skills to do it if he DID have the time.

CP won't have someone inadequately trained being a rider. that would be pointless.

is the fact that eldest was partly written from his point of view

I think that it was important to hear how Roran got to Surda and since Eragon was going to be training a lot of the time. Having Roran's view made it more interesting than just hearing about Eragon training constantly. I think he is going to be a more important character in the third but a Rider? I'm not so sure.

Brom was a rider and Morzan was a rider, but noone related to Roran was (that we know about). blood has no meaning, because the majority of riders most likely did not have rider parents. He does not need power. all he wants is to settle down with Katrina. He is a strong warrior, but only because of his longing for Katrina.

well i don't think it will be Arya or Roran. and i read about an interview that CP did on wikipedia that said that Nasuada would have a big change and a huge part in the next book and shes the one i would like to see be the next Rider.

she already has a huge part. the change can be from leader of the Varden to Queen of Alagaesia. u never know what he might mean.

Uggg... I know what you mean. I wish CP had been at least a little more discreet with his clues -- I think at the moment we are guessing quite accurately as to who the next rider is, and that's a shame (I like surprises ). I'm pretty sure Arya will be the next rider (Sorry to those who think otherwise... ).
