They have no known predators except humans. (That isn't to say a gator might not try to take a shot) They aren't allowed to be touched by humans (as natives of Florida would know), and their closest living relative is the elephant. (Babies are known as calves, females are cows, and males are bulls). The mothers also nurse their young like humans, by floating on their backs with their babies on their bossom and even cradle their young. The platypus is really cool and is also poisionous. They have a barb on their back feet and live in Austrailia. They also swim with their eyes shut, and use their bill to manuver around the water. And are one of two mammals to lay eggs, as said in an earlier post. My favourite marine animal is the marine iguana and puffer fish. Oh wait, the wobbegong shark is pretty cool looking as well as the port jackson shark. Oh I can't make up my mind.
