Kariana was resting in a large natural rock cave concealed ideally between two stoney hills. Her amethyst scales reflected a beatiful sheet of colour off of the dull walls. Suddenly, a small noise like a twig snapping startled her, and she jumped to her feet. She could feel an angry growl rising from deep in her throat, but she repressed it, curious to find the source of the noise.

Erais why are we out here anyway. Erador asked. Erais replied, Because this should give us plenty of shelter for the night, and no one will see us. They then continued up. They soon arrived at the mouth of the cave. Erais stopped and stood still. She could make out the creature in the opening

OOC: good job, nice long posts. Erais, if you could seperate paragraphs between people talking, it would make reading your posts a lot better. They're really good, just make them a bit easier to read!

Kariana froze. Squinting against the bright light at the cave mouth, she could faintly make out an outline of a large creature... one of a kind she had not seen in a long time. Who is it? she asked. What do you want?

Erador spoke first,
My name is Erador. This is my rider Erais. We do not wish to harm you. All we seek is some shelter for the night. We have no intention of harming you in less you are with the Empire.
Erador walked in. Erais followed.

Ioksok was following Erias for three days, where did she go, Fang asked Ioksok. Then he heard a growl from a cave Ioksok unsheathed his sword and said out loud "she allways finds a way to get into truble". Ioksok climbed up the rocks with Fang behind him, when he got to the mouth of the cave Ioksok peared in and said "hello" there was an echo, but he saw two giant figures. Ioksok cleared his throat and walked in.

What is this? Kariana shuffled her wings restlessley. If this is a trap then i am afraid you stand no chance against me. However, I am not with the empire, in fact i wish revenge against galbatorix. Stay here if you wish, but don't think i am unprepared for an attack.

Erais quickly drew her sword. She wpped around,
"Ioksok. What are you doing here?" She asked with a scowl.
Erador keep ready. He might attack. She said to Erador.

"me" asked Ioksok with a smile "i would never attack you, so why do u always try to stick me with that thing.", he moved closer to Erias im right behnd you ifshe moves ill fry her said Fang he was behind Ioksok. "we should start a fire its geting dark" he said puting his sword away.

Erador rumbled,
Not if I can help it.
"You know exactly why I do." Erais luaghed. "So this time you aren't you know what."
Erais then went to find some fire wood.

What is going on? Kariana asked, slightly annoyed. Is there something I don't know about? She turned around. I will help collect some firewood if you wish, but first I want to know who you all are, and what you want. I f you are to stay here, I believe that I have a right to know.

So Erador explained who her and Erais were. She then told her about the encounters they had had with Ioksok. How he sometimes works for the Empire.
Once he tried to capture us. He is no macth for us though. Erador laughed. Erais soon returned. She had multipule logs in her arms. She set them down. Erador blew on them. They burst into flame.

"O'mighty dragon, I will not harm you" said Ioksok as he bowed "and just betwen you and me I let her get away" he wispered. Ioksok went and sat down by the fire, Fang settled him self next to Erador I like her Ioksok, don't scare her away. fang said through there miind link.

Kariana curled next to to fire, enjoying the warmth. Well, I plan revenge on Galbatorix myself. He killed a friend of mine. What do you plan to do now? She questioned. I myself have not seen other dragons in a long time, and I enjoy the company. She admitted.

Erador also liked Fang.
Why can't you two ever get along Erais.
Are you hitting on Fang. Erais asked her through there mind link.
Yes I am. I like him a lot. Erais then burst out laughing. Then every one just looked at Erais. Erador then snapped at Erais. She just kept laughing. Then in an instant she went to her more serious way. "Well I am glad you can see another of your kind." Erais said. "So can I trust you for now Ioksok." She asked him.

"You can always trust me, Erais" said Ioksok with a wink. Fang snorted, it smells like it going to rain said fang. "so why are you here Kariana" he asked reclining by the fire.

Kariana absent mindedly scratched the floor with her sharp claws.
I have nowhere else to go. She replied bluntly.
I was simply staying in this cave for a while, before I went travelling somewhere. Maybe even across the sea.
She yawned widley, then carried on.
In fact, I was looking for a bit of help, you know, to slay a few Urgals, find Galbatorix, things like that. And what is your reason to be here? She asked, smiling slightly.

"no reason just looken for some adventur, right Erias" said ioksok. He was geting tierd "well i think im going to go to bed"said ioksok tring to get comfertible on the hard ground, so he found a small pile of sand and made his bed. Fang curled up next to Ioksok and put his head on Eragor's back.

Erador put her head oh Fangs back and quickly fell asleep. Erais then just said to the air,
"What am I doing out here." She then sighed. She crawled over to Erador. She then lay against her. She fell asleep quickly. She tossed in her sleep like she always did. She then woke up. She sat up, and walked around. She then went back and fell asleep again.

Ioksok and fang went hunting and came back with five rabits and 4 deer, they were back befor any one was up, ioksok cooked the meat what he didn't cook he made into jerky, Erias woke up Ioksok said "good morning Erias i have some food, if you want some"
here i got you a deer fand said as he gave one of the deer carcases to Erador the two ate in silence. they gave the other deer to Kariana.

You really like Fang don't you Erador.

Yes. I do. Erador replied.

Well you don't hide your feelings. Don't you. Erais then took some of the jerky and thanked Ioksok.

Why don't you like Ioksok. Erador asked after taking a big bite.

Erais choked. She then recovered and replied,

Well one he has tried to kidnap me, two. I don't know. I just think he would make a good friend. Thats it. Only he should stop helping Galbatorix. She snapped at Erador.

Kariana contentedly ripped at the deer with her teeth, savouring each bite. A large cloud covered the sun outside, and the cave became a bit colder. She watched the birds gliding carelessly through the air, then decided to ask her new companions something.
So... she paused. What are you all planning to do now?

Bridie jumped off Ryu's back,
I'll be back soon! Hide yourself! She told him...
Bridie had jumped from an amaziing height and she landed like a cat, wearing her blue gloves and hooded cloak, she walked to the croud... hoping to be noticed although, she had no idea what she was getting herself into!

Kariana whipped her head round and hissed warily.
Watch out! She alerted the others. There's someone coming!
Kariana stood up, dropping the half eaten deer.
Who are you? She asked, cautiously but not unkindly.

"Eka draumr abr onr wyrda..." said Bridie walking to the Dragon, she had her hand ready to reach for her sword just incase!
You should be careful, you dont know this dragon! said Ryu
no need to worry! laughed Bridie

Erais lept to her feet. She drew her sword. She then ran in front.

Bridie couldnt help laugh, she was extremly good at magic and knew a load of acient words, and she was a brilliant swords woman, thousands of urgals, a few kull and even a shade had fallen to her powers, even then, they were all easy to beat, so Bridie really couldnt help it if anyone was thretaing her... it was a good thing that Bridie didnt like fighting just because of mistakes...
"I am Bridie, do you always thretan everyone you meet, fear not, I am not in cahoots with Galbatorix, but if I was, I would be running!" laughed Bridie
Dont show off! We both know how good you are and that you could beat most of the people here, dont rub it in! it intimidates people! and DONT mention that you were trained by Eragon... said Ryu
ERAGON! I...WAS...YOU NEVER TOLD ME....HE....DIDNT GIVE HIS NAME! screamed Bridie on the inside
whoops... sighed Ryu

"If you are laughing because you think you can defeat me then your wrong." This time Erais was laughing. But it had easly gone just as easly as it came.
"Yes I do. Ryu you can come out." She then said.
Erador relaxed. She tehn returned to eating.
"I am Erais. This is my dragon Erador." Erais said kindly.

Ooc: I dont mean to sound rude but, how do you know of Ryu, no one can read my characters mind, so I dont understand how you know of him!

Bridie laughed, this girl had no idea who she was... or what she could do...there was more to her then met the eye (oooo this bit isnt included in character history!) The only one she had ever loved was killed by Galbatorix, Bridie swore revenge and an evil hate began to brew, if the power that was welling inside her was released then chaos and havoc would destory anyone and everyone around her!

Kariana looked at the newcomer. She felt there was something different about her, maybe even something powerful.
I wish revenge on Galbatorix, if you must know. She explained. Although Kariana was careful around strangers, she was secretly excited at the apperance of all these new dragons.
He is responsible for the death of a friend of mine. I was looking for help, what is your reason to be here?

OOC: She can sense him around you.

IC: She lowered her sword. She then said,
"I want to find my past." She then sighed. "I want to know my past. And kill Galbatorix. Erador wants to see him dead, he killed her family." Erais then went deap in the cave to think.

"Hey whats wrong" said ioksok as he put his arm around Erias shoulders, Fang and Erador sat and looked at the pair as they talked.

Erais took a minute to tell him. She then told him about what she knew. Erais then sat down on a rock.
Well you seem to get along when your not fighting. Erador said. She rested her head agaisnt Fangs.
I guess. She replied.

Bridie smirked, she knew she wouldnt be fighting anyone yet...
Ryu, come! she asked, in an instant Ryu flew down and landed infront of them all
"So...whats everyone doing here?" asked Bridie

Erais got up and walked ot her.

"I am looking for my past. And Galbatorix." She said, "Well sort of. I want to kill him but I need help." She then turned to Ioksok.
"If you ever tell him that I will kill you." She said pointing at him. She then returned to back of the cave.

Kariana eyed Ryu with delight.
Another new dragon! She thought to herself, before replying.
Well, I was staying here only for a short while. I haven't really thought about the future. She admitted.
Perhaps somebody would care to accompany me over the sea to find and destroy enemies? She asked hopefully.

Erador raised her head,

Erais could we. Erador asked.

Yes. She then directed this to Kariana. If we help you will you help us?

Ryu yawned, he lay next to Bridie who was still waiting for any sort of reply...
"Dark..." she sighed
He could still be alive you know, no one actually saw him die! said Ryu
Bridie just glared at him and told him not to spread false hope...

Erais ran out of the cave at high speed. it was a whlie before she returned. When she did it was dark out.
"Sorry. I just went to grab fire wood." She said. Anyone could tell that was an excuse though.

That night when she was sleeping she had the same dream again. She screamed then woke up drenched in sweat. She then walked to the opening of the cave. She stood there silently crying.

Dark and Bridie were walking on Beor mountains, they were in search of galbatorix, suddenly, a fleet of Kull surrouneded them, and a shade, they closed in but Bridie and Dark were prepared to fight! Bridie mounted her dragon Ryu and flew at the Kull while Dark mounted his dragon and went for the shade. The shade shot arrows in Dark's dragons wings as it lunged at him, "DARK NO!" screamed Bridie, but it was too late, the dragon fell back, off the edge of the mountain, into the darkness....

Bridie opened her eyes... she too had abad dream. Bridie jumped out from under Ryu's wing and walked to Erais, "are you ok?" she asked...
Looks like you are both haunted by the past... sighed Ryu

Erais slowly nodded her head. She then began to tell Bridie,

"Ever since I can remember I have had my dreams huanted by this person. I am not sure if it was my past. They at first quietly call my name and then they suffer pain. That pain is then inflickted upon me. I can't help it. I want to find this per..." She broke off. She then asked,
"Who huants your dreams."

"My dreams....Caleb Dark... my friend, he was killed by a shade..." sighed Bridie
We still dont know if he was actually Killed! said Ryu
"RYU! JUST SHUT UP! THERE IS NO WAY HE COULD OF SURVIVED, HIS DRAGON'S WINGS WERE PUNCTURED AND HE FELL OFF THE BEOR MOUNTAINS!!! HOW DEAD CAN YOU GET!" screamed Bridie, she breathed heavily for a moment after, then fell to her knees, crying...

Erais dropped to the ground. She hugged her.
She then said,
"We can always hope. If we stop hoping then what do we have in life. If we do they could die knowing that there is no more hope. So we just have to keep hoping. Right."
She had tears streaming down her face as she said it. She smiled.

Bridie hugged her back, "I know...its just... Dark..." sighed Bridie.
Ryu sat down, he was angry at Bridie for shouting at him...

"Well I don't know who it is that keeps contacting me but...I know them. I am not sure who but I feel that if I don't save them my world will shatter." Erais said. She then got up.
"We better get back."

"maybe I can help!" said Bridie, she jumped up ready for anything...
Bridie... I'm sorry but... I dont know if we can trust these people! said Ryu
yes we can! thought Bridie

Kariana had stayed up for most of the night, thinking about Erias and Erador's offer for help. She had heard them and Bridie talking about dreams, and the past, and decided it was worth giving a bit of help. She had watched the riders for long enough, and decided to tell Erador her thoughts.
I've been thinking about your offer. She told her.
If you and your rider, Erias still agree, I would love to aid you if you help me fight my enemies.

We will come also said Fang looking at Erador, he hit Ioksok on the hed with his tail and said Your female is sad
she isnt mine but he got up and went to find her anyway, Ioksok found Erais and Bridie talking quitly, he desided not to interupt. When he got back to the cave Fang and Erador were asleep. Ioksok stayed up and waited for Erias to get back.[/i]

Kariana strolled over to Ioksok.
Is something wrong? She asked gently.
Who are you waiting for? Kariana settled next to Ioksok. And watched carefully. She just could not understand all the tension in the group right now.

Erais walked in. She then went over to Erador. She lened against her. She closed her eyes as if in pain. When she opened them she saw Ioksok.

"Oh sorry." She said. She then turned her head away imberessed that he had seen her tear stained face.

"I don't know" Said Ioksok, he pulled out his sword and wiped it absintly with a rag. "have you seen many dragons before we came?" he asked, staring out at the woods.

Erais then walked to the other side of Erador. She broke down crying from the new wave of pain that had washed over her.

Why is she crying Ioksok asked Erador, "hey are you ok, i have some breakfast" He asked in the morning. Ioksok made bacon and eggs. the dragons ate the last ofthe deer. "We need to go some where els the islander will start to wonder where the deer went" he said looking at the dragons and they all looked at Fang, he ate the most.

Erador explained to Ioksok about her dreams.
Erais agreed that they should leave.
"So were will we go?" She asked. She hadn't touched her breakfast.
Erais you should eat.
I am fine Erador I don't feel like eating. She replied.
Later that morning they all gathered up there things. They soon headed out.

Bridie emerged from the shadows,
"am I missing something?" she asked
Bridie had her cloack on and her hood pulled up concealing her face, she also had her blue gloves on which concealed her shining palm...
Ryu emerged and Bridie put her had on his neck...

when every body was out side of the cave Ioksok asked "so where do we go from here?". Fang and Erador were siting by eachother with Erias siting on Eradors back, Bridie on Ryu, and Kariana were standing across form them. Know one ansewerd "What abuot sharktooth?" he asked "we could kill some pirates on the way."

Kariana stared across the vast blue ocean, the sun reflected off its cool surface.
I like the sound of that!She growled.
What does everyone else think?

This dragon, hasnt got a rider? asked Ryu
"I dont know...talk to it..." said Bridie.
Ryu walked to Kariana, Hi, I'm Ryu he said...

Hi, I'm Kariana. She replied cheerfully, stretching, allowing her wings to absorb the warmth.
We haven't really talked before. She mentioned. Did you want to ask something?

Umm...no, I just wanted to get to know you a bit, Bridie seems to distance herself from the others but that doesnt mean I have to! said Ryu, he thumped the ground with his spikey tail and yawed happily, he was rather awake now and wanted to go flying!

Kariana grinned at his enthusiasm.
You enjoy having a rider then? She enquired. Her piercing amethyst eyes met Ryu's. She then looked longingly at the sky, wishing they could start travelling.

A rider is fun, its better then being on my own, I love Bridie and she is like a sister to me... sighed Ryu,
Would you care to go for a fly? he asked

Kariana tried to hide her excitement. She had been flying alone for many years.
I'd love to! She exclaimed, spreading her dark wings. Kariana could smell the salty air as strong as ever, the sun was spreading its warmth over the island and the gulls were gliding lazily between the clouds.
A perfect day for flying. She thought to herself.

"I agree. We should go." Erais said, "We should go now." SHe then pointed to some locals. They were headed towards the cave.
They started out through the back of the cave. They came to an opening. They then took off in the bright sun.

Ryu flew alongside Kariana, he'd never been flying without Bridie, it felt odd...

Bridie smiled as she watched her dragon finally doing something on his own, she felt proud in a way... Ryu was usually very timid, this was a nice change.

Kariana had always felt great when she was flying, but this was different. She felt better than great! Suddenly, she pulled up in to a loop, corcscrewing, ripping through the air. She felt so happy, scanning the ground she noticed a few tiny dots, swooping down around Ryu, she examined them closer.
Just a few locals.She said absent-mindedly, and rose lazily to avoid being spotted.

OOC- You realize... wild dragons are very fierce, and dont communicate with language unless taught it, also they are solitary and territorial creatures... just a point.

OOC-too late to point that out really. Well, in that case, her friend taught the language to her. Plus she was solitary and territorial, until people came along!

Ooc: ooo, sorry! it is a little late now, sorry!

Ryu breathed in, salt water? oh yeah! he was near the sea! DUHH!!!! He watched Kariana, she was a good flyer...

Bridie sat on the ground, she was a bit bored and lonley now but nothing too bad, she was hungry too! Bridie reached in her bag and pulled out Ei'e, she walked around a while and soon found a roe buck. Without much effort, Bridie killed it, skinned it, chopped up its innards and was cooking it, making sure she saved some for Ryu!
"is anyone hungry?" she asked.
The whole time she had been here, Bridie had not taken her hood down or gloves off, she was very secrative!

"Yeah ill have some" said Ioksok, they landed on a small island after flying all day over the water. "So" he asked Bridie "why are you here?" he took his sword out of its sheath "any one want to spar a bit?" he asked

"I'm here because I choose to be!" said Bridie quickly,
Bridie didnt like the idea or fighting, she had fought someo ne for fun in the past, someone who was twice the size of her, and rendered him near dead, Bridie couldnt help it, her overwhelming urge to win when she fights takes over and she ends up hurting people, or worse...
"No thank you..." she sighed...

Erais stood up.
"I will. But be warned I won't take you lightly and I have never been beaten." She said.
She drew Anira. They started to spar. She avoided every one of his moves with ease. She had a bored sort of look on her face.

Meanwhile, Kariana was still having a great time flying with Ryu. She loved the feel of the wind under her wings and seeing all the tiny scenery below.
So... She glided over to Ryu.
Did you and your rider... sorry, Bridie, have any training? She questioned.
You both seem pretty.... experienced.

Erais then quickly defeated Ioksok. She then looked up. She saw the other two dragons still flying. She then glanced over at Erador. Erador was messing around with Fang. Erais then went for a walk.

To be honest, Bridie was trained by another really experienced rider... I was trained too! said Ryu,
he flew and was now over the islands...
Look, its some sort of Urgal! he said gesturing to a stange creature walking on its own...

Bridie sat twidling her thumbs. She was bored now but didnt want to call Ryu back!

Kariana stared at the creature on the ground.
Your right! She said, surprised.
There have never been Urgals here before! She pondered.
There might be more! She pointed out to Ryu.
Maybe we should warn the others?

Yes, lets go! said Ryu,
he flew back shouting to Bridie.
"URGLAS, WHERE?" she shreiked!

Well we only saw one. Kariana admitted.
But we were worried there could be more. She added.
That's why we thought we should warn you, just in case.

OOC: Firetongue, be sure to make nice long posts with lots of detail.

Bridie held her sword, as Ryu repeated to her what Kariana said...
"I see, Ryu, take me to it!" said Bridie jumping on Ryu's back.
They flew to where the Urgal was, a nice clearing in a forest surrounded by trees.
"Well...its not here any more, I'll look for tracks!" she said scanning the floor for any sign of the urgal...

Meanwhile back at camp Erais came back. She didn't say anything. She went over to her bag. Took something out and left again.
Where are you going Erais. Erador asked.
Don't worry I will be fine. She replied and let go of the link conacting them.

Ioksok walked to the water and took a bath "The water is cold" he said huging him self as he shivered. when he was done he layed out on the bank and let the sun dry him. he went back to camp grabed his bow, Ioksok found and old stump and practiced his archery. he saw Erias walk out into the woods he followed her silently.

Erais felt Ioksoks presence. She pretended she didn't know he was following her. After awhile she came to a spring. She then dipped an object in it. The water turned white. She muttered something that was impossible to make out. Then the water showed someone. A dark shape. Erais then stood up.
"You can come out now Ioksok." She said.

"How did you know i was there?" he asked as he walked out of the bushes. Ioksok saw some thing in the water "What is that?" he asked.

It then dissapeared.
"Nothing. You of all people should know that its possible for anyone who can do magic to know if someone is following them." Erais then gave out her beuatiful laugh. "I was just checking some thing. None of your concern."

Kariana slowly glided back down to the land, pondering about what she had seen. She spotted a pool of water, and decided to take a drink. The trees swayed in the wind, and tropical birds sang. The sun reflected off the surface off the water as she sipped it. It tasted fresh and clean.
I wonder if Bridie and Ryu have found that urgal? She thought. Slowly, she waded into the water, paddled about on the surface for a moment, then dived under like a kingfisher. It was lovely, deep and clear.
