She can also use the spear quite effectively. She has an affinity for drawing animals to her. She also has amazing self control.

Hawks Bane- Isabella uses magic to funnel into her spear and attack. She will vault off of the ground and jump as high as she can into the air, usually using some kind of aerial maneuver to gain momentum. After she has enough strength she flies downward, spinning the spear in order to create a tempest of sorts out of magic that stems from the blade of her spear. She usually crushes whatever it is that she's attacking with the blade causing a concussion-like explosion.

Character Personality: She is a very kind person, and very caring. She loves her friends, not that she had or has many. She doesn't like to talk much, but when the need arises she will. Her eyes normally speak for her though. Her dragon will mentally portray her feelings, if she refuses to speak. She is amazingly calm even in a very stressful situation. When she speaks it sounds as though a beatiful song is being sung. She never likes to act before thinking anything through. She is very protective of everyone she knows and is friends with. She loves nature and animals. Once her mind is set she won't be stopped. She's stubborn but not to a fault, she knows when to stop. She doesn't like being around too many people because it makes her nervous. She works well in teams, just not with a lot of people. Her social skills are very underdeveloped. She is generous to a fault. She is very trustworthy and will never speak anothers business unless they are jeopardizing the fight for justice. She has a very bad habit of staring at people or things. She hates feeling unused so she has a rigorus training schedule. She will often practice so much she hurts.


Character History: Isabella comes from a wealthy family, that once was one of the high ranking officials in the Kings court. Her family was killed, because her father was secretly funneling information to the Varden. As time progressed, it showed that Galbatorix had known all along, and was finally bored of the game he was playing with her father. When Isabella was only eleven years old, her mother had managed to run and hide her with a troupe of traveling performers, before being hunted down by the kings men.

Liliana knew that the troupe was on friendly terms with the Varden, and had her memories of the court hidden, thus Isabella grew up knowing nothing of her past, thinking that her father was Itaro, the leader of the troupe, and mother was Liliana. She had never questioned that they were her parents, even though she looked nothing like them. Her brother Arturo was always close, protecting her, though her sister, Elayna, never liked her.

Arturo taught her how to fight, while Liliana taught her magic. On the day of Isabella's 16 birthday Itaro decided she needed to know her real past. She tried to accept the fact, but couldn't so she ran away two nights later. She made her way across the land, eventually being captured by the King. He took control of her using her real name and subjected her to the eggs.

One hatched for her, a pitch black egg, dark as night, and she was put through rigorus training. Galbatorix used his magic to increase her dragon’s, Nirexi, size to match that of Shruikan’s, so they may seem as if they were Galbatorix and Shruikan. She was sent on many missions as a substitute Galbatorix, simply to strike fear in enemies hearts, or to gather information.

On a mission, to capture a traitor to the king she and Nirexi were captured by a strong magician, who showed them that their true names had changed, thus they were freed. The magician fled as soon as she was freed and never told her his name. Soon after gaining her freedom she started heading for the Varden, to give them as much information as possible.

Since then Isabella has met many strong foes, and many more allies. One of her first adventure’s found her traversing the Empire with part of The Resistance. She had met Eris, a rather brilliant young man who’s twin, Galedrim, had led part of Crimson’s army. There was also Jia, and her brother Zeke, who were an interestingly dynamic pair of dragons. Zeke’s mate, Savania was there, along with their four hatchlings, Zeuk, Quasar, Sofranir and Tel’aier. Isabella is especially fond of Tel.

One of her other, more prominent adventures was with a young rider by the name of Hawke, who had initiated a battle after he believed her to be Galbatorix. He was rather charming, and his young dragon Elisa was beautiful. Isabella and Elisa had then been captured by two of Galbatorix’s underlings, Lakris and Sylverta. Iz had been given a dark concoction that had been mixed with Shadow Dragon blood. It was injected into her veins, and after it had settled in her system, granted her the ability to control shadows. She was late rescued, along with Elisa, by Nirexi, Hawk, and the young dragon Sarai, who is Jia and Shruikan’s daughter.


Weapons: She uses a spear that was made by the Kings finest weapon craftsman. It can never be broken and never grows dull. It is black so that it matches the hue of her dragon and her armor. It has several rubies placed inside the shaft of the spear and two placed on the blade.
She also uses throwing knives, never having like the feel of a bow. They are also made by the Kings finest weapon craftsman. They are compact and come with there own sheathes. She has 10 in all, hidden all over her body. They also cannot be broken and never dull.

Likes: She likes spicy food and nature, especially animals. Likes the idea of having a family after the king is killed.

Dislikes: The King, dishonesty, and allergies.

Animal Companions: An intelligent panther called, Raill, and a falcon called, Scout.

Character's Physical Description: She is around 5’6” tall. She's slim but is very strong. Her hair is long, but tied up to stay out of her way. When she's comfortable she will put her hair down. She has a large scar on her stomach that the King gave her in a training duel. It does not hinder her in any way. She is very beautiful, strikingly so. She also has a distinguishing tattoo on her right wrist that represents her noble family crest. Isabella is usually always wearing black clothing, whether it is simply colored leather, or the armor that was made specifically for her by the king. She often wears the pitch black helmet, not because she wants to look like Galbatorix even more, but out of habit.

Dreams for the Future: She wants to get revenge on the King for killing her family and capturing her.

Reason for Dreams: She feels this will give her closure on the matters.

Alignment/side: She was on the Kings side, but is now a "good guy".

Dragon Name: Nirexi

Age: Out of egg: 6 years

Gender: Male

Parents: Sirnus (Father, wild dragon, deceased.), Veascus (Mother, wild dragon, deceased.)

History: Both of Nirexi’s parents were wild dragons, both killed by Morzan’s hands, early into Galbatorix’s uprising. Nirexi was then captured as an egg and kept hidden within the walls of Uru’Baen. No one, not even the elves knew he existed. When Isabella was captured and subjected to his egg, he hatched, realizing that she was who he was waiting for.

He was forced to give into Galbatorix, because of the pain caused to his rider. After submitting he was forced to train under Shruikan, who, despite his unnaturally large size, was still skilled at flying. Galbatorix then used magic to increase Nirexi’s size, to around half of that of Shruikan’s, because no one truly knew how large the dragon was, it was easy to convince people that Nirexi was the same size as him.


Personality: He is much like his rider, but is much more stubborn. He gets mad easily. He finds it hard to control his emotions, but tries really hard for Isabella. He doesn't think things through often, so he relies on Isabella a lot. He also likes to be a joker, but his size often complicates things. He loves to tell jokes to Isabella, who is the only person who will listen to him constantly. He loves animals, not just to eat. His best friends other than Isabella are Raill and Scout. Despite his naturally joking nature, Nirexi is very wise. He has gained the natural instincts of the wild dragons from his parents, and yet the refined wisdom of rider’s dragon.

Colour: Black

Appearance: He is very graceful for a male dragon, although his build is much more sturdy, showing that he is meant more for strength and endurance, rather than speed and agility. He looks very fierce, and often, his appearance alone with will deter enemies from attacking. He is black with greyish spikes along his spine. His eyes also change color and normally match Isabella's.

Armour: He has black armor made by the Kings finest armor makers.

Dreams for future: Wants to overthrow the King and bring back the dragons.

Reasons for dreams: He hates the King for what he has done to his species and Isabella.
