Re: the last dragon egg well the last dragon had enough time to hatch wild but he didn't and it's unlikely he would ever hatch wild. i think i read in the book that when two dragons give their egg to the riders, wards are spelled over the egg to never hatch wild only when the right rider-to-be will touch the egg. i hope it will hatch for arya, but i know it is very probable it will hatch for bladesinger or someone else.

We've given our ideas on this, and the majority of people who voted think it is Arya. The majority of people who posted think it is bladesinger. Re: the last dragon egg On this topic we have facts and we have theories/speculation or , in my case, wishful thinking.
Fact; until this book Arya was the best candidate for whom the egg would hatch. Theory; Roran had a slim chance of being the next possible candidate; but developments in Brisingr counts him out. Theory: Bladesinger was introduced in this book briefly, (even if briefly) shrouded by words which may have many hidden meanings. And these words give us space to speculate as to if maybe CP has had an afterthought on Arya, (seeing that 98.9% of the fandom expects it to happen) or, he has just planted a red herring to try and throw us off. Whichever the case, I am 100% opposed for it to hatch for Arya. _________________ ~.~.~.~.~.~ |

 I just have to write the ending battle and the resolution and then go back and kind of edit it. Re: the last dragon egg well thant depends on how you wish to look at it, even saphira said at one stage that "we are intimately linked... so if you become attached to someone, it will involve my feelings too" Something along those lines... If you were going to look at it from the "DragonRiders of Pern" idea, then when the riders dragon find a mate, the rider becomes the mate of the other rider. But I dont know how CP will work that out...

It would be great if it htached for a dwarf though so they can be included in the history of Alageasia although it is against the original pact. It would be okay if Orik became a Rider, but remember he was afraid of Saphira and refused to ride on her from Ellesmera? He said, "dwarves aren't meant to ride dragons. it's against their nature." Or something similar to that. I just can't wait to find out when CP releases book IV(4).

Re: the last dragon egg @ruben-elda: if bladesinger is the next rider, than i would probably think that eragon would fall in love with her (though whether she loves him or not would have to be revealed in book 4), but if its arya, than eragon will run away as fast as he can, never to return. but i still think that the whole egg hatching, eragon falling in love, leaving forever thing will all quickly happen in the epilogue or in the final chapters because there's no way it can happen before galby dies, and when galby dies, really the book is over except for those final chapters/epilogue.

Yes, I know Morzan and Murtagh are traitors but Murtagh is Eragon's half-brother! It's kinda sad that Eragon is related to Morzan, Uncle Morzan.... ooh, that name just makes me shiver with uneasiness. Sorry, I just found out that Brom is Eragon's dad. I'm still reading Brisingr. I started reading the Trilogy about a month ago. I'm on Brisingr or The Seven Promises of Eragon Shadeslayer and Saphira Brightscales. But it should hatch for Roran or Arya.

Arya should be the Rider. She's experienced but I'm afraid she might die before it hatches. I know elves live longer than humans but she's 100+! If it does hatch for her, think of how long she will live after it hatches because Riders live long, and she would be an elf-Rider!!! GEEZ!!! She might live to be 250+ if the egg hatches for her!!!!! _________________

Roran isn't liable to be the next rider, since he has a kingship to start, and a family to care for (notice that Riders tend to NOT have families). Angela and Elva are extremely unlikely, given the authors lack of buildup, Elva's morally grey choices, and Angela's general detachment from the story.\ Orik and Nasuada are a no because they have their own jobs and responsibilities to attend to, not adding the fact that there has been NO buildup for either character. Re: the last dragon egg True, however, Morzan seems an exception to the rule (doesn't that mean it isn't a rule) rather than the norm. Also, he wasn't a model daddy, if not because he was a violent *********, he was surely not able to be there for his family (having to serve Galby and all).

Re: the last dragon egg arya: people only think its her because she's so experienced in magic, but the thing is, the dragon still has to train. besides, eragon needs to move on from arya, and her becoming a rider is not a good way to do that.
