The Heart of Corruption
OOC: I'm starting this one over since it's been awhile since I last posted and that one died. Anyone may join Eris stared down at the shore as the last few of the passangers gathered on. The alfin stared back at him doubtingly. He didn't quit get their fear in hatred of returning to this land, but then again, he never claimed to understand them as a people. He turned back to those on the ship. Other than a few friends and crew, the ship had little inhabitants, it even lacked the local rodent populace expected on most ships, as if they had an idea of the land they were heading into. "Everything alright, Eris?" the captain asked. "I'm fine, I'm just waiting for now. I'm not turning back on this." He told the captain to return to his post and walked around until he found Equinox, Savania, Incendia, and Snare. He frowned and shook his head. If what the alfin said were true, only Incendia should have come, she had nothing tramatizing happen to her, but Equinox was their leader so he had to come, or so he said, Snare practically just wandered onto the ship, and Savania was more likely to do something if someone told her she shouldn't. "Are you guys ready?" he asked.Equinox stared down at Eris. He understood his friend's worry, but this shouldn't be too hard to handle. Still, he knew not to underestimate this supposed 'Darkness'. Equinox yawned and glanced into the sea. This would be the first time he ever left any part of Alagaesia behind without being able to see at least some lant. We'll be fine Eris. We all said we'd support you. Equinox sighed. One threat gone and another popped up. I thought with Galabatorix dead we'd have less to worry about. But I guess with one crazy person dead someone, or something, has to fill it's place.Savania snorted next to him. Crimson and Demondred will be deealt with soon enough.Equinox shook his head. Hopefully she was right. If they were lucky Demondred would kill of Crimson or the other way around. Savania left the conversation and wandered the massif ship. HOw they managed to design it was beyond her. It could fit up to twenty dragons on deck, twenty dragons that were over three hundred years old, as she was told. Still, it was nice to have so much walking room on a tiny speak of wood floating in the ocean. She walked out into the main part of the deck and curled up so the sun would shine on her scales. She lowered her head to take a nap. She'd hadn't had a good one for awhileIncendia watched her niece go off. She gave a toothy smile and thought of playing a trick on her, but decided against it. Her father apparently though a dragoness her age should be more mature. Ok, he didn't really say that, but he didn't like all her antics. Still, it was nice to come along. This Darkness had always interested her. She grinned toofully down at Snare who was currently in her wolf form. As usual she didn't appear to be happy, but Incendia new her soft side, and she liked pestering the shape shifter as much as possible. Father, Eris, do you really think people could have survived on this land? she asked. "The alfin seem to think so When they fled large civilizations existed, most of them are destroyed now, though they say its possible some coastal settlements survived." Well if that's true they could help us. "They'd probably just want to rest." Incendia snorted but chose to remain silent.Snare watched them all for a time and walked off to watch the water. She wasn't quit sure why she came, but anything to escape this land, even if temperary, would be a blessing. She sat down and stare at, letting the salty breeze strike against her face and legs.

Re: The Heart of Corruption
Liam crouched low over Ranor's neck, desperately trying to make it to the huge ship at the end of the pier before it could leave without him. The grey gelding galloped nimbly around fishmonger's stalls and people walking around the busy port, checking out ships as they went. "Excuse me, pardon me! Coming through! Giant warhorse at your four o'clock!" he bellowed, not slowing down.
To his relief he made it to the end of the pier and was up the ramp before anyone on board made a move to pull it up. "I made it!" he shouted cheerfully, tugging Ranor's reins to stop him and jumping from the saddle in a single, smooth motion. "Hello, Eris and company," he said, a mischievous grin on his face.
Fin landed on the seat of Ranor's saddle, still warm from where Liam had recently vacated it. He crawled up to sit on Ranor's neck, his paws entwined in the gelding's black mane with his head peeking out from between his ears. He whistled a greeting, still somehow managing to sound grumpy without verbally communicating.
Vix spiraled down onto the railing of the ship next to Liam, trilling happily. Her eyes sparkled with excitement as she looked up at Equinox, Eris, and the others. Hello! Are we the last ones? she asked sweetly.
Darian sucked noisily on another oyster, idly watching the massive ship at the end of the pier in front of her. She cocked her head to the side, watching the interesting procession of characters parading across the deck. A loud commotion from the other end of town made her piebald gelding snort and flick his ears in annoyance. The blonde spy set the empty oyster shell down and leaned forward to get a better look at the ruckus that was headed their direction.
"An elf? Making noise?" she laughed aloud, not quite believing what she was seeing. A male elf with black hair, dressed mostly in black, and astride a huge grey gelding was charging down the street, apparently trying to make it aboard the ship she had been casually watching. "Oh now I have got to see what this is all about," she said, her blue eyes glimmering with curiosity. She threw a couple of bronze coins on the table in payment for the oysters she had enjoyed, then vaulted into Lyssande's saddle.
Must we? He seems like a rather obnoxious fellow. Not to mention loud, the black-and-white horse snorted exasperatedly.
"Oh yes, we must. Besides, look what's following him," she said. She had only just noticed the two curious glittering shapes in the air over his head: one was black and the other was gold. She wasn't sure, but they looked like dragon hatchlings. Lyssande sighed resignedly and bolted for the ship, moving much more nimbly around the crowd than the warhorse had. In just over a minute they had reached the boat and were trotting up the ramp.
"Lo, the captain! Is there room for one more on the crew?" she yelled, looking for anyone who seemed to be in charge. The black-haired elf was standing close by and she eyed him curiously.
Raven walked cautiously around the deck of the ship, looking at all of the different dragons and other strange creatures around her. They seemed like an honest group, if a little grim. I think it's safe, but let me introduce us first. They may not need any help with whatever they're attempting. Although judging from the size of this ship, they aren't against a person or two volunteering, she said silently to her partner. Oceanis was currently several hundred feet above the ship, circling slowly. There weren't any clouds for her to hide in, but at that height she looked no bigger than a bird and the sparkling from her scales wasn't visible.
Just as she was wandering over to introduce herself to the man she had inferred to be the leader of the expedition, an elf on a grey horse thundered at the ramp, followed a few moments later by a slight blonde girl on a black-and-white paint. Raven narrowed her eyes at the new arrivals and shrank back a bit so as not to be on the spot. Nevermind, I'm going to observe a bit more, she said. A slight pressure in her mind let her know that Oceanis had heard.

Re: The Heart of Corruption
OOC: Just to warn you Saph and anyone else, I'm planning a bunch of evil ways to toture our characters... I mean I planning a giant celebration... hehehe
IC: Eris turned to Liam and smiled. It had been awhile since he saw him. He couldn't help but laugh at speed he and his horse came thundering through. At least he made. As much as Eris wanted as few people to come, more people would likely mean safety in such a foarboding place. Eris smirked at Fin and Vix. He patted Ranor on the muzzle, to acknoqledge the grumpy war horse. "I'm glad to see you all here. Ford should be around somewhere. He fell asleep in a crewmember's shadow last time I checked." He laughed and said more serious, "Are you sure you guys want to come. It's going to be dangerous." As a matter a fact the alfin spent the last twenty four hours pounding that into his head. They didn't even want to come. Though that might be for the better, they didn't want the Darkness to try and corrupt them again. Eris turned as another person and a horse came aboard. He smiled at her and said, "You can come if you want, it's going to be dangerous though. I'm Eris, what brings you here."
Equinox hung his head over the new comer. It was nice to see so many people, but in a way it did worry him. Not that it mattered to much though. By the looks of it they'd probably have a few more people. I am Equinox, though Eris is the leader of this expedition I lead the Revolution. "That and you're a giant overgrown lizard that insisted on coming." Eris laughed and slapped his leg. Someone had to make sure you staid out of trouble. "I guess it's a good thing Liam showed up then. We need some people who aren't crazy. Anyway, Liam, in case you don't remember, we're going into Adura, the land where the Darkness has conquered." Eris' snake people friends told us its dangerous. Darkness and corruption live and breed on this land.
Incendia snorted and laid down. A few passing crewmembers gave her stairs as they had to climb over her tail. Nothing I can't handle. Incendia, you know I can still forbid you in coming. You need to under stand the risks. Equinox said. Incendia decided best not ot mention the irony in her father's words. Instead she shouted No! and curled up grumply and stared at them with her dark eyes. Seriously though, is there really a risk the Darkness could spread here. "If what Maragoth said is true, it already has, to a small extent," replied Eris.

Re: The Heart of Corruption
Darian smiled at the small group. "Darkness and danger, hunh? Sounds like an interesting experience, to say the least. My name's Darian, and this vegetable-stealing gelding is Lyssande. And as for what brings me out this direction, nothing in particular. I had heard the oysters are particularly tasty in these waters, so I came to try them out. Your boat and the oaf," she gestured at Liam here, "caught my eye."
"I can be quite useful to your expedition, if you're really sure that you don't mind having me along," she concluded with a warm smile. She turned and added a small bow to Equinox and the other dragons. "Where I'm from, dragons are highly revered. It's an honor to meet all of you," she said politely.
I like her. She seems friendly, Vix chirruped, landing swiftly on Darian's right shoulder. She stared into one of the golden-haired girl's eyes intently, then licked her on the nose unexpectedly. Darian blinked, then laughed. Vix closed her eyes half-way and hummed in response.
"Pardon me, but it seemed as though I heard you refer to me as 'the oaf'," Liam said friendly, a confused smile on his face.
"Oh no, you heard me correctly. Only an oaf would ride so recklessly through the middle of town like that," came the unashamed reply.
Liam's mouth fell open with a gasp. Spluttering and tripping over his own tongue, he tried to send a sufficient retort back, but failed.
I like her because she rendered the oaf speechless, Fin said mercilessly, a mischievous glint in his eyes. Anybody that can do that must be spectacular indeed.
Raven carefully watched the group in front of her, a small smile forming on her face as she watched them interact with each other. The way they treated the new woman, who it seemed was a stranger to them all, was comforting to her and she felt confident in introducing herself finally. She stepped forward suddenly and pulled her hood down, revealing red-brown hair and hazel eyes. The line of freckles marching across her nose was darker than normal from her recent prolonged exposure to the sun.
"Hello, if you're looking for recruits, I know that I and my partner would be interested in accompanying you," she said, watching their reactions as she spoke. She didn't think they would hurt her, but being observant of the behavior of those around her was a habit that many years of being on the run had honed.
Oceanis began to drift slowly downward when Raven stepped forward to introduce herself. This should prove to be an interesting trip if these people are all as quirky as their talk suggests, she thought, amused with the varied personalities below her.

Re: The Heart of Corruption
Eris sighed as another woman approached them asking to join. Seriously, so many people wanted to get into trouble? At least they were willing to come. "Sometimes I think I've still crazy." Some of us know that for a fact. said Equinox. Eris grunted. "You're so funny." Someone has to be since Savania and Incendia wandered off. "Where are you from?" Eris asked Darian. He heard commotion coming from around the ship. It seemed to have taken off. The shore slowly begun to shrink away. Well here they go. He glanced off at the shore, the song the alfin sung lingered in his head. 'In the heart of the fallen kingdom the Darkness rises. From the ashes of her fallen soldiers fear abounds. From graves of the martyrs and dust of the dead the horrors from the mind grow and destroy. In the heart of the fallen kingdom the dark ones seek to destroy to devour.' Not a pretty song if it were true.
Equinox smiled down at Darian. Thank you. It is nice to meet you as well. He gazed down at her and the others. And so their journey began. Equinox's attention turned to Raven. It's nice to have you aboard, though I wonder if all humans are out of their minds. "Some could say the same about you giant flying fire breathing lizards." Eris joked. Equinox's tail flicked back and forth. At least we won't have any more rampaging horses around here. He glanced at Eris and said to him. You still have your seal right? I do, so do Savania and Incendia. Good, we may need them.
Incendia flew around the giant ship which only now decided to start sailing away. She dove in and out of the water until she noticed a familiar dragon in the sky. She soared up and nearly crashed into Oceanis. Oceanis! How have you been? she asked with a toothy grin.
Snare glanced down at the moving waves when movement caught her eyes. A body floated up from the depths, no, more like swam really. She gasped when an alfin stared at her, keeping the same speed in the water as the ship. "You can swim?" Snare asked. It didn't reply, only stared with its strange snake like eyes. "Shape Shifter, the Darkness awaits you all." "I know, but we need to go there." "The Darkness knows the fears of the soul. The Darkness corrupts and destroys. Shape Shifter, blood will be spilt across the darkened land. Beware of the evils of the past." "What do you mean?" She snarled down. But before she could demand more it vanished. Only a blue gem was in place next to her. She picked it up and heard the words Takes this to the Old Temple, if you want any hope to survive the future onslaught of Darkness

Re: The Heart of Corruption
"Oh, I doubt you know the place. Suffice to say it's in the middle of the Hadarac," Darian said to Eris, a small, mysterious smile on her lips. "And anybody who ever does anything remotely exciting always has a touch of madness about them," she added with a wink.
Oceanis blinked in surprise when a familiar dragoness surged out of the waves below her, bellowing a greeting. She roared happily in return, loosing a jet of bright blue flames. Incendia my friend! It has been a long time since I last saw you! I am well, as is Raven. She is on the ship below. I assume you are with that expedition? If we had known that, we would not have hesitated in joining, she said, diving to meet her friend. She looped around the smaller dragoness, roaring excitedly.
Raven jerked around as a dragoness leaped out of the water beside the ship and raced up to Oceanis. The Rider was worried for a split second before she realized the dragoness was bellowing happily and that Oceanis was returning the greeting. Raven peered into Oceanis's mind to see who it was, then grinned broadly when she heard the cerulean excitedly murmur Incendia. Returning her attention to the deck and the people around her, she said loudly, "Well, now I feel silly for being so cautious and not introducing myself sooner. I did not realize my old friend Incendia was with your group," she said with a smile.
Darian flinched and looked upward as an unexpected roar pealed out above them, accompanied by a bright tongue of flame. Her mouth dropped open when she saw another dragon above them. The blonde spy looked back at the woman in front of her, who was now smiling openly. "I take it that's the partner you were talking about?" she asked. The woman, Raven, nodded and grinned wider still.
Liam looked up at the two dragons flying through the sky, and then groaned suddenly. "Not another one," he moaned dramatically, clapping a hand to his forehead.
Oh hush. Dragons are better company than you, Fin snapped, spitting a ball of black fire at Liam. He grinned toothily when the elf yelped and slapped at the flames that spread across his tunic.
Fin! Don't set Liam on fire! How many times do I have to tell you?! Vix admonished, darting forward to help Liam put himself out.

Re: The Heart of Corruption
Eris smiled. "I suppose that's true. I must say though there's not much in this part of the empire I've not been to. With three psycopaths fighting for power and so much going on. A short ride through the ocean shouldn't be too bad." He stared off into the emptyness and sighed, with Quasar, Throat Ripper, and Ravinia could be here to see this. "Not one more will die," he told himself. "That's alright," he said to Raven. "Incendia is Equinox's daughter. About as reckless as her father is." You should have seen me before I meet you, Galedrim, Quasar, and Throat Ripper. "I'm just amazed how much you changed since then."
Equinox smiled at his friend. As he said she is my daughter. I'm afraid my other children and wife couldn't make it here. It's nice to meet you Rave. What brought you here then? He stared off in thought of Elcyon. He couldn't help but wonder how she was. I suppose it is time for us to go below deck. They're serving dinner below and apparently below deck is large enough to fit dragons.
Incendia smiled at her friend and playfully bumped her side with her head. I am. My father and and Eris are leading it. We're going ouwest to the land of Darkness. The alfin said it's being totally devistated, but Eris said it's to help us understand our new enemy. So what have you been up to?
Savania wandered back over to the larger ground and introduced herself. It was so strange to see so many here, but it felt nice. Now was time for the trouble causing. Oh this so called Adruna land of what ever it was called couldn't be all to bad. She growled when Equinox mentioned below deck. She didn't really want to, but food currently sounded like a great idea.
Snore woke up and walked around the ship until she found the rest of the group. More had joined them. She stared at the blue gen in her hand and slid in into her pocket. Now wasn't the best time to tell Eris.

Re: The Heart of Corruption
Niriz was gliding through the air, laughing loudly at her bond, Slyth who was twisting in the air and screeching with joy. The wind element in her was having a blast with this flying, however Niriz could see that while they were at the designated meeting place, the ship was not.
"Oh my. I think Eris forgot that we were coming along, my dear." She squinted ahead, trying to spot the ship, which had remarkably gotten quite far from what she could see. "We'll have to be quick if we're to land on deck," She glanced at her little heart, "Alright, Slyth, ready?" With an affirmative squawk from her general direction, Niriz fell into a dive to gain speed, along with pushing her wings. They were closing in on the ship, but it was moving quite quickly, she would have to push just a little harder.
Niriz began to breathe deeper, falling into another dive and tucking her wings instead to become more slipstreamed, while she flew through the air. Finally they were within reasonable distance from the boat and she could clearly see Eris from the sky. She went into another dive, hovering just before she met the dark wood of the vessel. She glanced up, watching as Slyth zeroed in on a target... which appeared would to be Liam's head. Chuckling she moved to face Eris, then moved her face to create a stern expression, "Eris, I can't believe you forgot us." She nodded to Equinox and gave a small grin to Incendia, "Really, you'd think that you would have been a bit more patient, but no, you have to put the healer and the newhatched to a test, don't you? Didn't Liam remind you that we were on our way?" She sent a scathing look to the elf in question, "I wouldn't be surprised if he had forgotten as well."
Sylth was delighted, she could see Liam's head from a mile away. It was the perfect warm spot, fluffy and comfortable and she made it well known, Liam! You head is mine! She immediately fell into a dive heading straight for his warm fur covered head, barely registering her siblings.

Re: The Heart of Corruption
OOC: I kinda of have to join cuz Felecia met her little dragonette friend here. Sarai might or might not come in in a few more posts. And apologies ahead of time if my posting time sucks more than usual, I'm in Japan currently and timezones are a pain in my backside.
IC: She didn't quite remember how she had heard news of the ship leaving with Eris on board for a new land. She didn't particularly care either. To the ex-Rider, it was an escape to get away from all things familiar that reminded her of her loss. It was still fresh in her mind. In her shattered mind. He was still here...Ebony had gifted his Eldunari to his Rider before the war had began. But to feel his pain as he almost died...the loneliness before his conscience was snapped into his Heart of Hearts...She's never forgotten it.
The ship had already left the port by the time she arrived. It didn't matter to her. With her leathery dragon-like wings, catching up was a breeze. She took it at a measured pace, fast enough to catch up, but not quite enough to exhaust her. The female elf approached the ship and came to hover above it briefly before she folded her wings and softly landed on the deck. She glanced around at a few of the familiar faces, nodding to those she recognized, and even to those she didn't, to be polite. She approached Eris and tapped his shoulder gently with the barest of smiles on her lips. "Trying to leave without me, eh?" she teased lightly.
The elf glanced to the little dragon hatchling-like creatures. Her heart ached with memories as she remembered how small Ebony had been on his hatching day. The jewel around her neck pulsed discreetly at the direction her thoughts were going. Felecia shook them and redirected her eyes on the two beings. Three, now, with the arrival of another blueish creature. The golden one was scolding the black one for setting the male elf called Liam on fire. Her eyes warmed just the barest amount as she watched the display. And, she also realized these three creatures couldn't be dragon hatchlings, hatchlings couldn't breathe fire until they were almost a year old.
Curious, she brushed her mind against the golden ones conscience. If I'm not being rude, may I ask what you are? I know dragons can not breathe fire as your kin just did. she murmured quietly. Her sapphire eyes were inquisitive, a rare thing for her to happen nowadays, and not as wary as usual.

Darian glanced over at the black-haired elf, Liam, as he jumped around and yelped, smacking himself in the chest to put out the flames. "Oh for crying out loud. You're helpless! Stop, drop, and roll, you nimrod!" she said exasperatedly. Flicking her wrist as if to shake something off, she summoned a rather large ball of sea water. When it was floating over Liam's head she released it and laughed as he spluttered in the sudden torrent.
"Three psychopaths you say? Wow. I must have missed out on a lot while I was gathering information for the Varden," she said with a low whistle. She frowned as she thought about the many different evils that were on the loose in Alagaesia, ignoring Liam's spluttered protestations of his sudden sodden state.
Liam coughed harshly, he had inhaled a bit of seawater when Darian had decided to half-drown him on deck. "You could have killed me!" he yelped indignantly. "You didn't even use the Ancient Language? What kind of imbecile doesn't use the language when using magic? You could have blown the ship up!" he raged.
She didn't use magic, Fin said. He snapped at his sister who was still flitting around in front of his face, spitting and hissing at him. Oh calm your tail feathers already! He wouldn't have been burned even if every last stitch he was wearing went up in smoke! He's got wards, remember? he said, swiping at Vix with his tiny paw.
That's does not make it okay! she trilled indignantly, dodging his half-hearted attacks. Thumping him over the head with her tail, she grumbled one last time, then flew over to the ship's rail and landed on it. She glared angrily at her brother until the arrival of Niriz and Slyth caught her attention. Slyth! she cried happily, darting up to greet her little sister. She blinked as the little dragonnette charged past her.
Liam heard Vix cry out happily as her sister arrived and his head jerked up. A tiny voice resounded in his mind, claming his head as it's property. He looked around wild-eyed, trying to spot the youngster. He spun around and saw Niriz, but not her pair-bond. Suddenly he saw a flash of blue-green in the air, headed straight for his face. "Slyth! No!" he cried out in a panic, throwing his hands up as if to catch her.
Raven looked over as the elf, Liam, flipped out about something, his hands in front of his face as if to defend himself. She arched her eyebrows skeptically, questioning his sanity, then turned back to Eris and Equinox. "Food sounds like a wonderful idea. Lead the way," she said, grinning. Her stomach rumbled slightly and she realized suddenly that she hadn't eaten since early that morning.
Fromt the part of her that was always linked to Oceanis, she heard Incendia say something about Darkness and a new enemy. She frowned and turned to Eris, "What's this I hear about a new enemy? I assume it has to do with where we're going?"
Oceanis growled as an inexplicable and uneasy feeling formed in her chest as Incendia mentioned the "Darkness". What exactly is the Darkness? And how will it affect Alagaesia? she asked her friend. She dived towards the ship, then back-flapped as she neared the masts. The cerulean landed gently on the deck away from the others so that the gust from her arrival wouldn't knock anyone over. She looked over in time to see an elf with dragon wings land beside the group.
Vix noticed the newcomer at roughly the same time as the cerulean dragoness on the other side of the deck did. She looked over at her and trilled happily, her eyes sparkling. No, we're not dragons. We are dragonnettes. We're closely related to them in appearance, but very different in ability, she said warmly. Jumping off of the railing, she walked across the deck until she was standing in front of the strange, winged elf. Hi, I'm Vix. The rude black menace over there is my brother Fin, she said, whistling a greeting.

Re: The Heart of Corruption
Eris smiled at Niriz and Sylth as they approached. "Sorry, I totally forgot about you guys. At least you two made it." He shook his at all the new comers. At least they were all friends. Still, it would be helpful if the swarm of people lessened. He shook his head and laughed. No that he could complain though. "I just wanted you two to get your exercise in." He smirked back. "It is good to see you though. I hope you had a nice journey here." They didn't have to deal with the pesky snake people. said Equinox. "You'll get used to them." Equinox snorted. Oh they're not too bad a guess. The put up with you. Eris ignored him. He hugged Raven and said, "It's nice to see you again too. I'm sorry about Ebony." His words lingered as he finished them. Equinox lowered his head and groaned. Even now Eris wanted to weep. Even with his mind restored it still hurt to think about Quasar. "The Darkness is what corrupted the alfin, they're weren't fully corrupt, but they used to be dragons. The land we're going to has fully been conquered by the Darkness. It corrupts the dead and destroys the living. The alfin, and a prophecy from Savania's son Zeu says the Darkness is going to spread to Alagaesia. Dark creatures, corrupt dragons, humans, more, dominted the land. We're going there to study and learn more about it. And hopefully make it out alive." "As for the three psychopaths, Galbatorix of course, those he's soon to be beat. Crimson, and Demondred. Crimson mostly want to form his own empire, and he wants Equinox and all his friends dead. Demondred on the other hand wants to conquer the land and kill every last elf and enslave dragons. Pleasant, yes I know."
Incendia nodded. Yes, the Darkness is a new enemy. It's going to invade Alagaesia, not for a while, but the alfin say its invasion cannon but stopped. A dark serpant is the Darkness, and rules the Darkness. It isn't actually a serpent, but the most common form of the leader of the Darkness.
[color=#FFBFFF]Savania watched them all from above and flew down to greet them. She watched for a moment and finally said Hey, less talking more walking. I'm hunry! "You're always hungry," said Eris.

Re: The Heart of Corruption
Niriz giggled, smiling at Eris, "It's fine, I'm just glad we made it." She calmly appraised Darian before nodding her head and facing her, "Elemental control? What a fascinating power. I approve of your methods, ma'am. Liam all too often deserves something like that for his dramatic actions." She glanced fondly in his direction, chuckling as he prepared for impact with Slyth who was not slowing down in the slightest.
Slyth ignored her sister, knowing she had time for her later and focused on the top of Liam's head, her concentration unbreaking. However he threw his hands up, trying to block her. As she moved closer she swooped in behind him easily, as he was distracted trying to protect his head and ran smack into the back of his head, where his arms were not covering. She outstretched her claws, sticking he back paws on his ears and her front claws on the crest of his head, right next to his arm. The force of her landing was felt as she jolted stiffly, though she chortled and nestled her nose and head into his hair while he fell forward.

Re: The Heart of Corruption
OOC: Sorry wait guys. And darkie, it's Felecia that lost Ebony, not Raven. Oceanis is Raven's companion. Not being a stickler or anything, just letting you know for later reference. XD There is a lot of people here, that makes it a little confusing. And for Vix, I'm assuming she says yes, for the sake of Felecia continuing forward, if that's a no just yell at me and I'll twist it around. XD
IC: Felecia noted that a few eyed her wings curiously, but she gave no explanation to them. Eris's hug caught her off guard and she stiffened in surprise. Nobody had touched her since the Llataki War. Once he released her she nodded to him rigidly. And she understood his pain as well. Eris had lost Quasar. His brother, Galedrim, was also gone, if she remembered correctly.
Her sapphire irises found the little golden creature again, approaching her across the deck. Her elven nature leaked through and her lips twitched. Vix, the little female introduced herself, was quite a beauty. Her gold scales almost emitted their own radiance. Felecia's glanced at the black counterpart of Vix, named Fin. His color made a lump rise in her throat, a similar shade to Ebony's other half, Reona, whom she also missed.
Her eyes came back to Vix, bright and soothing. She knelt and gently scratched at one of her wing joints. You and your sibling are beauties. she murmured, the color of her irises less like ice. Felecia extended her arm to Vix with a slight smile. Would you like to sit here a while? she conveyed a brief image to the dragonette of Vix's slender golden body resting around Felecia's neck and shoulder. The weight would feel familiar, since she carried Ebony around like that when he was a hatchling.
She stood up after a moment after Vix had settled and went over to the grey stallion where Fin was settled in the equine's black mane. Felecia spoke in greeting to the stallion in the Ancient Language and held out her hand for him to catch her scent. She dipped her head slightly to Fin and wished him well in the language of the elves. It's a pleasure to meet you and your sister. she murmured to the black dragonette while she patted the nose of the stallion gently.
Her head turned as a commotion brought another little dragonette into the picture, this one blue-green. It charged for the male elf's head and settled itself there, looking quite content. From his outcry, the little one's name was Slyth. Felecia glanced to the side at Vix. Is Slyth another of your kin? she asked curiously.

Re: The Heart of Corruption
For such a small creature, Slyth made a big impact when she smacked Liam in the back of the head. "Oof!" he yelped, stumbling forward a few steps, his eyes watering in pain as her tiny talons dug into his scalp and tore at his hair. He turned to Niriz, a reproachful look on his face. "Get your child under control," he hissed, pointing at his new hat.
My sister is not a hat, peasant, Fin said to Liam, a haughty look on his tiny face. He looked at Felecia as she approached. Vix was perched on her shoulder with her tail wrapped around her neck for security and her talons carefully gripping her tunic. He thought she looked rather sad when her eyes caught sight of him and he couldn't help but trill comfortingly at her. He pushed his face against her chin when she stopped in front of him. And we are pleased to meet you as well, he replied, pulling his face back to stare up into her eyes. After a moment he hopped forward and latched onto her shirt then walked up onto her shoulder, using his tail as an anchor like Vix.
Slyth is actually our younger sister, by a few layings, Vix said to Felecia, chuckling as the blue-green plastered herself to Liam's head. Our other brother, Ford, is from the same laying as Slyth, but he's a little older out of the egg than she is, she added, looking around to see if he had emerged from wherever he was hiding yet.
Darian clapped the incensed elf on the back, ignoring his wet clothes. "Cheer up friend, you'll dry," she said cheekily, grinning at him. "Yeah, it's a long story. And as Fin, I think that's his name, said, I didn't use magic, so no worries," she said to Niriz. She bowed to her and added, "If he ever needs it again, just send for me and I'll be happy to oblige."
Raven sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose. "I wonder what it is about Alagaesia that is so darn enticing to crazy people," she said to Eris, only half joking. She looked over as another dragoness, one she didn't know, spurred them all on towards food. "She's right, we need food for this kind of talk," the Rider said, following the dragoness down below.
I'm not hungry, to be honest. I ate the other day. If it's all the same to you, I'll stay here in the sun, Oceanis said to her Rider, moving to an out-of-the-way area of the deck to stretch out. That sounds ominous, to put it mildly, she said to Incendia. How long until this comes to pass?
"Food sounds great, but where should I put Lyssande? He says he's okay with staying topside for now, but if the weather gets bad he's afraid the deck will be a dicey place to be," Darian asked as she followed the group. Her gelding was close behind her, watching everything curiously.
"Yeah Eris, where should I put Ranor?" Liam called, overhearing the blonde girl's question.
