The Price Paid

Gender: Guy Affiliation: Dragonriders Dragon: Avadius	The Price Paid OOC: I know it has the same name as another RP I made, but I now have a better and more general idea for the RP now. Anyone can join other than characters who met Eris after his mind was clensed. Ravinia... Eris snarled to himself. She always came back now, her memory haunting his ravaged mind. He could barely stand it in the Resistance Camp. Oh, Equinox and others tried to help him, but they were mad! All of them were. He couldn't be helped. Not after Crimson tore Quasar away from him. Quasar, Ravinia, Throat Ripper. All died because of him. He wandered onto an island that hadn't seem to have been charter before. Lush forest dominated the island other than the sand and grass around the beach. He sighed and wandered on. This would be a good place yes, a good place to rest for now. He stared into the sky as if in a trance. He often did that as his mind tore through him at times and at other times remained still. He sighed and starred off. Something would come of this, he knew well at least his mind was telling him, but he knew better than to trust his own mind which would often shoot off. "I'll kill you all," he snarled. "All those who wronged me will die." Today was a lazy day, both she and Reb enjoying it for what it was. Her giant black wings floating with no effort, gliding with ease. She sighed contented as she flew over many different islands. "Look at the tranquil beauty." Reb mumbled, all but falling asleep on her dragon. It had been many uncountable days since they had visited these islands, each one bringing back both lovely and painful memories. Reb remembered when Star Gazer and Faefnir flew over the ocean, a lazy new mated pair. She sighed, understanding that those days were gone. Star Gazer knew what sadness burdened her rider's heart, and such things weighted down her own, but she refused to let them ruin the day at hand. It was their first leizure day in awhile, and she refused to let it slide away. "Such sadness Reb, in that single sigh. Let it go. I have." Star stated, letting the wind bring her closer to one of the more secluded, and less recognized, islands. Her dragon sight letting her take in everything and yet nothing at once. Reb layed back, looking up as they dipped below the clouds. She nodded, knowing Star was right. "I guess." She muttered, turning over to peer down beneath them. As they flew over an island, movement caught her eye. "Star, land us down there. Someone is down there." Star Gazer complied, swooping out of the sky to land on the beach of the island, and spotted that someone. Star snorted, and recoiled as she recognized her old friend. Eris

With a snarl he spat at a few passing birds. What was wrong with him? At once the world seem to spin but again it stopped. He saw a purple speck in the air, but ignored it as another hallucination. It was then when the speck grew closer he saw a rider and dragon. At first he didn't recognize them. Star Gazer? Reb? He cocked his head from side to side. Like much of his past it was foggy now. He could barely remember them but at least he did remember them. "Star Gazer, queen of dragons and Reb." he at once begun to mumble on for a time until he eventually forced his slurred speech away. "Eris remembers you two, Eris hasn't seen you for a long time. What brings you here?" But good manners forced the shock away enough to reply "we saw you and decided to land' as for why we are traveling by it was nothing more than an attempt to relax." Reb said and looked away. Something had happened, she could feel the echos of pain and violence. She didn't wish to approach the subject directly for dear of pushing the already teetering being over the edge of whatever precipise he stood. "What are you doing here?" Reb asked not unkindly.

As usual a jab of pain pierced his mind as he did so but he simply gritted his teeth and ignored it. "I'm here to get away from everyone. Galbatorix, Crimson, Demondred, their all damned fools caught up in their fighting. Equinox tries to help but he knows as well as I am that I am lost! Nothing can help me after Crimson tore Quasar from me! I'm mad Reb, I'm nothing but uh-" his voice trailed off as his mind finally dozed off again. "Ravinia... I'm sorry..." he said under his breath. In his mind's eye he could see her butchered corpse along with Throat Ripper's slashed throat. Dsurion soared onto an island. Though he was ordered to fight a small band of Varden soldiers he wanted to explore. After what Crimson ordered his soldiers to do to that elf he wanted to be away. Below him stretched a vast island dominated by forest. On a beachhead he could make out a dragon and two humans. He bent the air around himself so they'd see nothing and flew closer. They weren't the small band Crimson told him off, but something about one of them was familiar. Reb walked a little closer to him wanting to help comfort him but before she could he began mumbling about how he was mad. Star Gazer was Also horrified but she controlled herself. "how?" she asked not sure she wanted an answer.

Unaware of this his voice became louder as he spoke, "... during the fighting Crimson tried to take control of Equinox. He nearly did so and almost killed Phal, and several others. Quasar sacrificed herself to sever the rider bond between Equinox and Crimson to save Equinox and the rest. She left me here! She wouldn't take me!" he snarled angrily. He slashed his sword through the air and snarled. "He will pay! They will all pay!" He begun to grow to himself angrily and turned his back on the two. He saw something in the sky, a dragon it seemed. He snarled and muttered in cohesively words under his breath. After a time he asked, "What have you two been up to?" Dsurion halted as he flew closer. He recognized one, the human. Eris? He swooped lower, he hadn't seen the ex rider since the battle where Quasar, his mother, died. He let a toothy grin. With Eris' mind damaged killing him would be much easier. His gaze lingered on the purple dragoness and her rider. He didn't recognize them. Still, they weren't his problem, really neither was Eris. Still, orders were orders he supposed. They were at a loss as how to react at the news they had just heard. "Well we just recently returned to this world, though that story is long and tedious to tell. Other than that we have rebuilt the mountains in the Beor Range." Reb replied with a heavy heart. " we too have lost friends, and loved ones." she added glancing at Star.

Eris asked, he tried to sound interested but it seemed to much for his mind. He glanced sadly at Reb though. "Who'd you lose." In the distance something caught his eye. Something he could just make out. A strange teal dot... Dsurion watched Eris, the other human, and the dragoness for a time. He sniffed the air and used his bending powers so none would see him. True, they might think it odd a teal dot in the sky vanished, but only Eris would know what it meant and he was dillusional. Sephora had informed him that War was approaching; it was very close. It had been a year since he had began his training and travelled with her mother. A month or so ago, Natsu and Sephora's mother had parted ways, but Natsu still continued to train. He needed to be strong if he wanted to bring back Erza from that madman... The island made him feel at peace, something that was seldom ever since his training began. He had always been determined this last year, and never let his guard down. At this island, he felt that he could relax. Maybe he should relax. He had been training for a year; it might help him if he took a little break. Making his decision, Natsu left the forest, but his ears perked when he heard voices. He thought about bending the light around his body for a moment, but then it would look odd if he appeared out of no where. He walked up to them and was surprised to see a large purple dragon, slightly larger in both body size and wingspan than Erza. Well, he hadn't seen his dragon in a year, but from what he remembered, anyway. "This is the first group I've seen on this island," Natsu said, feigning a smile. Ever since his dragon had been captured, his genuine smiles were scarce and happened at long periods of time apart from one another. "I'm Natsu. Mind if I join with a new charry this time? I'll probably bring in Ecco later but I'd like to develop Temias some more. IC: Temias blinked open his piercing silver eyes, and promptly yawned. He had been traveling along the coastline, exploring and looking for something to do. Alagaesia was a new land, a land that dragonkind was struggling to survive in. Phalynx had told him that many dragons here were like soldiers, fighting for the survival of their species. The young deep blue dragon had decided months ago that he wanted to help. He had landed on this island before dawn and decided to sleep here, but something was rousing him early; it wasn't yet evening. The dragon lifted his head silently, peering out through the trees, and observing his surroundings. He could smell, and sense, others on the island. There were three two-legs. One had actually just passed slightly near him, which had probably been what had awakened him. The male two-leg was joining another male and a female in the clear area below. A large purple-black dragoness was also waiting beyond. He could sense and smell another dragon, though, but this one was farther away. And he couldn't see him either. Temias stood, eyes narrowed, and watched as the teal dragon suddenly plunged out of nowhere toward the group. Temias crept closer to the edge of the treeline, waiting to see what would happen. He had no idea who they were all aligned with, and wanted to find out before making his presence known. Gender: Guy Affiliation: Dragonriders Dragon: Avadius	Re: The Price Paid Eris begun to snap at Natsu but his comment was held back when he noticed a gush of air from nowhere and just had time to jump as a dragon head appeared from nowhere and smashed him into the ground. He gasped and leapt up just as flames struck where he was. "Dsurion! So you've come to die! I'll send your skull to your master!" he snapped. Images rushed though his head. Quasar collapsing by Crimson, his sneering laugh, and the teal dragon roaring in triumph. Eris roared with rage and rushed Dsurion with his sword. Dsurion flew up as Eris begun to curse. "Get back down here you damned coward! Fight me!" He snaped and swished his blade through the air. A thin trail of fire wizzed right where his blade his been seconds before. Eris saw another dragon fly in, but focused his attention and curses on Dsurion. I didn't expect the damage to be this bad. Dsurion said as he flew up. He circled around them. If the others were Eris' allies he didn't want to fight them all. Instead he chose to land by them but far enough from Eris so he didn't attack. Eris was his enemy, but he didn't feel right about attacking a man whose mind was so ravaged. Eris, I had no part in my mother's death. Eris snarled and begun to make a retort but Dsurion cut him off Please leave, I don't wish to fight you with such a ravaged mind. "I was here first so you leave!" Eris snapped. Dsurion sighed. A dragon had appeared out of thin air and smashed one of the two-legs to the ground. The dragon came back up and took to the air. The one this Dsurion called Eris cursed angrily. At Dsurion's greeting, Natsu raised his eyebrows. He didn't know what standards these islanders had, but he regarded it as odd to introduce yourself so nonchalantly after attacking someone. Natsu stroked his chin in a pondering pose. Then again, maybe he himself shouldn't have approached this group. Yes, he probably should have stayed back in the trees for cover. Dsurion had mentioned that Eris's mind was ravaged? Natsu could tell that just by listening to the human talk. Natsu turned his gaze to the dragon and dropped the kind act he had been implementing earlier. IC: Temias continued watching the other creatures, a bit apprehensive. The teal seemed to knock over one of the two-legs, but then drew away and introduced himself as Dsurion (he could overhear this from his position). The deep blue wasn't sure yet whether or not to introduce himself to the group, though he knew he would have to if he wanted to find out what they were doing. At last, he decided that it would be better to learn more about them and this place than to just disappear back into the shadows of the trees. He stepped calmly out of the forest and lightly touched the minds of all those present in greeting. Hello. I'm sorry to have just eavesdropped on you all but I was sleeping here and then I heared a commotion. My name is Temias, he introduced, explaining his reasons for being here. Obviously they would understand that he had to make sure they were friendly before making an appearance. Her head hurt from so many new arrivals. "hello my name is Reb, and my dragon is Star Gazer." she said and bowed with respect. Star Gazer dipped her head as well, but kept close watch on everyone. A small group had suddenly grown, and age had taught her to be wary. She wasnt letting her guard down.

The teal had in a way been involved in Quasar's death. Quasar, Ravinia, Throat Ripper. All dead. He could see their corpses, their bodies, bleeding, lying dead. He could see Crimson and Galedrim standing over them, blood dripping from their swords. He fell to his knees and begun to scream as the images tore through his head. "Ravinia! I'm sorry! I should have come with you. Forgive me..." he whispered quietly. He grabbed his sword and slashed it through the air. SEconds later the images vanished, but he still snarled angrily, glaring at the others as if they themselves were fake also. He turned to both Temais and Natsu and said, "I'm Eris." I'm Dsurion, soldier for Crimson. Dsurion replied. He glanced at the others and when he heard Star Gazer and Reb's names he snarled. He had never seen them, but heard of them from Crimson. Still, he had know wish to fight them right now. He simply wanted to explore the island. My master has mentioned you two. You caused him some trouble in the past. Sorry. :/ IC: Natsu's eyes watched wearily as another dragon joined their little group. He raised his eyebrows in surprise as Eris spoke of someone. Someone must have died, and his mind is in turmoil because of it Natsu deduced. Dsurion's master caught Natsu off guard slightly. Crimson? He had heard of the name before, but he couldn't exactly remember where. The way he understood it, Dsurion must have been enemies of Eris, Star Gazer, and Reb. So you must be the Queen of the Dragon Mountain then. I am honored to meet you and your rider, he replied. One of the two-legs, Eris, suddenly began mumbling and swiping at the air. He seemed to collect himself, and introduced himself to the blue. He frowned, and the expression deepened when Dsurion introduced himself as well. I have heard of you, Eris. And also of Crimson. He is the enemy of some good friends of mine, he spoke, scales bristling and talons gripping the ground more tightly. He glanced at the other dragon and rider pair when they spoke, trying to calm himself down. They were right. Dsurion didn't appear to want to attack them. Still, Temias kept his wits about him, ready in case the teal changed his mind. She was on the alert, noting the movements and body language of each present. She didn't know exactly what was going on, so much had happened, but she was going to make sure it didn't get out of hand. They didn't all look friendly towards the others, though she sensed no danger to herself and her dragon.
