Post Suffering of the Twisted Mind
Will reveal who Im using in a few posts.

There was a time when I was once...happy. A robed figure stabbed a palace guard in the chest. But now I wonder if it even existed in the first place. Another guard from behind was about to charge and attack, but he was taken out from behind with a blade into his back. Loss, pain, suffering, death, and time has tainted this so called ideal. I long struggled against these elements and have suffered greatly. After the guards were disposed of, a total of four robed figures gathered at the center of the room. But I let it all go. I am no longer bound to petty attatchments. I am no longer chained by emotions. ...Have I turned evil? No... there is no good or evil. Only hatred. That is the abosute truth in this world. As long as there is man and power... it will be an endless cycle of hatred. Peace...true peace, is an illusion.

"Seems like they are no longer here," One of the figures stated. The one that just spoke removed his hood. It was a dark haired man that had extremely pale skin. The thing that stood out the most were his eyes... they were yellow and on his face were two line markings that went over each eye socket. Two of the other figures removed their hoods as well. One was a bald man with a beard and several scars all over his head and face. The other was a long, dark haired and fairly attractive woman.

"It shouldve been obvious since the crown of the empire changed hands," said the woman. She glanced to the remaining hooded figure. "What should we do, master?"
There was a slight pause, but in a smooth deep voice the remaining hooded figure replied, "I have a feeling they may have been given to the elves for safe keeping. This is only a slight set-back." The figured turned to the side. "Heh, it might be nice to return home again anyways."

The pale man turned his attention towards the corridor. "Damn.. some one's coming. You'd think there wouldnt be this many guards this far down in the palace."
The hooded figure also turned his attention towards the corridor. "It is no ordinary guard. I sense it is some one with actual strength. Prepare yourselves."

Post Re: Suffering of the Twisted Mind
OOC:
Spoilers in this post, those of you who haven't read Inherintance, look away now.lol

Felecia shuffled her wings as she walked by the halls that had been repaired. Shruikan's body had, finally, been completely removed and laid to rest. The dragons had mourned his passing as they would for any others of their kin, for he had been tortured and brutalized into insanity and should not be blamed for the things he had done, for they had been Galbatorix's orders, not Shruikan doing what he wished of his own violation. The winged elf stopped suddenly and looked ahead of her, her eyes hardening. She grasped the hilt of Bluesilver tightly in her right hand, drawing the sword an inch from its sheath. Very few people wandered below the keep; most said the place creeped them out or they just weren't interested or curious enough to check it out, beyond what was necessary. But she felt something familiar further down the corridor and in a storage room. She unfurled her wings so they hung to either side of her and took a step forward.
Caution, little one. whispered Ebony, the small silver encased jewel around her neck flashing gently. She glanced down and her eyes softened.
Of course. she murmured in reply. Jeta, the little fiery metallic red dragonette, swooped down from above and landed lightly on Felecia's shoulder, trilling softly.
Shall I go first, Ecia? chirruped the female. The winged elf looked sideways at her little friend and pursed her lips.
You are too bold for your size, Jetaema. One of these days it will get you into trouble that you can't wiggle or burn your way out of. she chided, but gently, a small smile pulling at her lips. Jeta snorted, making a small cloud of smoke drift from he nostrils.
Yes yes, I know. But I can use my size to my advantage. If it's simply a person going against the rules, they won't except a mini dragon. Most people around here have never seen me anyway. she chirped. Felecia grimaced, knowing she was right, in a sense.
Alright, alright, fine. But you come straight back to me if you sense if the tiniest bit of hostility toward you, or give me a mental shout, okay? she said to the little lizard affectionately. Jeta rubbed Felecia's cheek with her face, then spread her tiny wings and took to the air, flying ahead to the storage room. Felecia watched anxiously as she disappeared into the room.

- - - - - - - - - -

Jeta wheeled into the storage room and found four robed twolegs. One was a woman, and quite pretty-attractive-to-the-eye, the other two were fight-battle-protect-men, one with pale-white-no-sun-skin and yellow-glaring-eagle-keen-eyes, the other had no hair and his scalp was covered in fight-battle-scars, as well as a bit of his face, but he had a beard growing on his chin. She trilled warmly, her eyes glittering with curiosity despite herself and the possibly dangerous situation she was in. Hiya. I'm Jeta. Are you four monks or....something.... she trailed off as she saw, and smelled, the sweet-salty-blood and the bodies of the gaurd-protect-keep-safe-Palace-Guards. She thought she had smelled the last of blood when the war finished. Her tiny ruby red eyes sparked with fury and she screeched, the air around her body heating up a few degrees. Why did you kill them? she asked firmly, her tone no longer playful and carefree. She heard Felecia start to approach but flicked her thoughts against the elfs, telling her to stay away for the moment. Reluctantly the elf stopped and waited. Jeta returned her attention to the four twolegs.

Post Re: Suffering of the Twisted Mind
OOC: This is after the war, in which time Lakris has left Galbatorix's side and is more neutral now than before.

IC: Lakris walked down the hallway, his steps echoing on the cobblestone floor. He currently donned a cloak, the collar of which masked the sides and bottom half of his face. He was also wearing a black hood that hid his hair from view. The only noticeable feature one could currently distinguish were his eyes; one was yellow (the left) and the other was brown (the right). Sylverta was watching through the right eye, which was why it was different from the normal golden-yellow of Lakris's eyes. The dead bodies had called Sylverta's interest, so he had asked his rider to allow him to see out of one of Lakris's eyes. Lakris wordlessly gave his consent, and he and his dragon morphed minds to become one.

Lakris might not pay much attention to the dead bodies if all the dead bodies from the war hadn't already been cleaned. Furthermore, the blood was quite fresh and had happened only a handful of minutes before. Larks saw a figure in the distance, but he immediately knew that she wasn't the cause of these deaths. Her blade was clean of blood, and she eyed the room in front of her warily. Lakris could sense five consciousnesses inside the room. Four of them were grouped together, which led Lakris to assume that they might be affiliated with one another. The fifth consciousness was closer to the door and might be somehow related to either the four people inside the room or the person outside the room, because Lakris didn't think that it could be both.

As he came closer to the room, and respectably, the girl with wings, he spoke in the Ancient Language, promising that he meant her no harm unless she meant him so. He also said that he had no idea what was going on inside, and that he was going to check it out. He then walked
right past her, into the room. Bodies and blood littered the ground, and the four figures he had sensed previously were robed. They were obviously those responsible for the deaths of these people. The other consciousness he had felt belonged to that of a small dragon, and judging by the fact that she had asked them why they killed these people, Lakris doubted that they were affliated. "Indeed, what did lead you all to kill these people?" His tone wasn't accusing in the least, for he has committed such crimes, some even worse than murder morally. However, most of that was behind him now, and he no longer believed in useless death. Lakris was ready for the robed individuals to attack. He didn't know what they were after, but they might prove hostile.

All four of them turned their attention towards the pint-sized dragon. The skinny pale man jeered, "Heeeeeh...? A dragon? A toy version of one if that. It just looks like a lizard with wings. Hah! What a joke."
The scarred man smirked, "I think the pipsqueek wants to play." The woman shrugged with her arms up. "Joking aside, we killed them because they got in our way."

The hooded man remained silent. The pale one turned towards him. "Should we kill this one too?" There was a long pause and the hooded man made no movement. Finally in a smooth voice, "Do as you please."

"I wouldnt mind having a belt made from dragon scales." The pale man pulled out a sword with a black blade.

Then the four noticed another figure enter the room. The three that had their faces visible were slightly more hardened at the newcomer.

Reb crouched low. Her body alert. Shruikan had passed but the castle still held bad memories. The war had left her scarred, both mentally and physically. The only earthly reason why she was where she was ....well was Niliki. Only days before she had let Niliki tell her future to her. She no longer cared for uncertainty.

Of course her good friend warned her that she could only tempt fate once. So here she was. The vision revealed to her had been of a small dragon and two men, one woman, and a hooded figure. Star Gazer had reacted and here she was. The dragon world had suffered enough death in its life span. "Though did you evet consider that the young dragon didnt need our help?" Reb quietly, but furiously whidpered to her dragon.

Star Gazer ignored Reb as she hovered in the night sky. Ready to pounce if anything went wrong.

Reb pulled her sword from its scabbard and slowly inched forwards in the castle. Memories swam around her. Star fell in love here, Reb was brutally tortured here, life had nearly ended on several occasions here. This palace would forever be evil in Reb's mind. She shook herself as voices could be heard up ahead. She took her battle stance and crept forward into a pool of light. She could see but not be seen.

Post Re: Suffering of the Twisted Mind
Jeta's eyes narrowed as she listened to the three talk, and then ask the one that still had a hood over its head a question. She screeched and beat her wings, lifting higher into the air. If you can catch me, that is. she retorted hotly, flames flickering over her scales now. She glowered at the one that spoke about using her scales for a new belt, annoyance in her gaze. She may be small but she packed a punch, and she knew it too. She glanced down at another twoleg that entered. Since he asked the others what they were doing, and Felecia had let him pass, then he must be safe. She twittered and folded her wings, landing lightly on his shoulder. She heard light steps to the right and glanced in that direction to see Felecia, her wings unfurled and flared wide to either side, but her sword pointing toward the ground in a non aggressive posture. She hissed at the two men and the woman, her eyes sparkling with indignation.

- - - - - - - - - -

Felecia has heard the approaching footsteps but had not reacted, since she vaguely recognized the the mind. She had probably met the person in passing or something. She glanced at him as he passed, nodding in acknowledgment as he spoke in the Ancient Language that he meant her no harm. She let him go by without challenge, pondering following him. She tilted her head, then walked forward herself. She heard Jeta screech and increased her pace until she stood beside the man that had spoken to her. She eyed the group carefully, but especially the one in the hooded robe. She couldn't see her face, not even with her keen elven eyes. She quirked an eyebrow, but instead of looking questioning, she looked angry. She didn't like it when blood was spilt in this new peace that was struggling to stay peaceful. She tapped her finger against the cross guard of her sword, her lips pursing,"Why have you spilt the blood of these innocent men? They were honest warriors of the Varden. At least, I've heard they are. But regardless, why? And who are you." she said quietly, looking directly at the person that still kept their face hidden. By her tone, she was not asking the person to reveal themselves, she was telling them. She took no nonsense from people.

"They got in the way, hm?" Lakris whispered back, no indication of anger in his tone. "Well, these two beside me and I are currently witnesses to a mass murder and could easily feed the Varden - or the elves, even - information about your appearances. They would be tracking you down, following your tail like dogs. But then, of course, you four must obviously know what you're doing to be able to take down multiple soldiers at once without obtaining a single noticeable injury. You all can't be ordinary humans," he murmured. "You should have an easy time killing us, or me at least; I have no sword on my person." Lakris was being oddly provocative. However, magic was his strongest weapon by far. He hoped that these four would buy what he was selling, so to speak, but it didn't matter to him either way.

"Though, how exactly were they in your way? You could have easily disarmed them, maybe knocking them unconscious as well. Yet. . .your intent was undoubtedly one to kill." Their excuse was illogical and merely an attempt to justify more killing. Lakris was also willing to bet that this group had a bit of an ego. They probably considered these humans that were "in their way" to be simple obstacles, not living beings.

"We owe you no explainations," the woman flatly stated. She drew her blade.
The pale man grinned devilishly, he lift his blade to his face and licked it. "So.... who to kill first?"
The scarred man merely grunted and pulled out a large mace.

The hooded man stepped forward. "You three... you can sit this one out. Ive decided to handle them." All of them looked back towards him. The pale man questioned first, "Eh? Whats with the sudden change? You seemed fine with--"
"Enough. I have already made up my mind." The three glanced at eachother and then took steps backward while putting away their weapons. Then they all watch intently with interest.

The hooded man crossed his arms. "Who am I, you ask? The original name of this vessel has been long dead. That name has long faded from memory. I have a more fitting name now. Zar'is, or Pain in the common tongue.
Pain turned his head towards the bodies on the floor. "As for them, they were given the ultimate relief. Death gives rest to one's soul. Free from the tortures and miseries of life." Then Pain turned his attention back to the group in front of him. "Do you really think the world will be at peace? It will always give birth to the likes of Galbatorix. As long there is man and magic to exist... so will the endless cycle of hatred. As long as there is hatred, no peace or understanding will come. There is only one link that beings can truely understand eachother... through pain. Once we gather what we need... we will be able to bring every race to the brink of extinction. Through that pain and misery, all will truely understand eachother with these common trials. Then for a time there will be peace and the pain will eventually fade. The races will rise once again and eventually bring war. Again we will remedy this disease. We will be the caretakers of these lands. We will do what the gods were meant to do, being the custodians of Alagaesia."
Pain slowly lifted up his hands to his hood and pulled in back. Revealing an elf with scars and markings all over his face. The iris of his eyes were yellow but the rest was nothing but black.
"And we will bring pain to all who stand in our way."

OOC:Felecia will know who actually it is, so that you guys wont be confused.

Reb was sickened by what sh heard. The worl was filled with enough violence as it was. It didnt need four quacks running adound playing God, or gods whichever tey believe in. She rubbed her blade, her powers at the ready. She figured this was a good enough time as any to reveal herself. She ignited her blade, and headed out.

Reb stood tall, her blade at her side as she stepped into the light. She glared at the figures before her. "Your plan is slightly flawed. No matter how much power you feel entitled to, and however much you wish to control the world, you cant. No one will just let you. It is extremely pompous if you ask me." Reb replied back.

Felecia grit her teeth, anger flaming gently in her sapphire eyes. She brandished her blade, Bluesilver, and flapped her wings once, glowering at Zar'is,"No one will let you. We've fought to long and too hard for this. Even if the cycle repeats at one point or another, it will be better handled. We've learned from our mistakes, and Eragon knows what to do if this ever happens again. And, with the precautions that Eragon has taken, with the games for the Urgals, hopefully it will never happen again, or at the very least not for a very long time. Your intentions are noble, perhaps, in a way, but they are twisted. No. You want other people to understand the pain that you have gone through. That, my friend, is impossible." she murmured. She had recognized his voice quickly, though it had been a while since she'd last heard it. Her suspicions were confirmed when he drew back his hood. Pain crossed over her face, pinching it. "Why?" she whispered, her sapphire eyes gleaming slightly with tears,"I know your original name, and it is not Zar'is." she half folded her wings, glancing at the woman that had appeared. She focused back on the man. "Why? I know you, and the old you would never, ever, think about hurting other people on purpose. Why the change, Daidrea?" she murmured, her eyes anguished. Jeta flinched and chirped quietly, her tiny ruby eyes fixed onto Zar'is's face. Jeta knew who Daidrea was from Felecia's memories. The female elf blinked. "You know Erais, Ella, and Elyrana would not want you to do this." she murmured.

"I agree with you that peace is only an illusion, but how does that justify killing these men? Did they ask you to kill them? I doubt it, so don't you think you should let them decide if they want to continue living in this world of hate and misery? Rather then taking it upon yourself and deciding that they wouldn't want to live in this world, that is," Lakris replied swiftly. The man reached and drew back his hood, revealing an elf with multiple scars across his face. The woman next to Lakris, the one with the wings, seemed to know the man as Daidrea. Another woman appeared, brandishing a sword that was lit with blue fire. "You can't defeat all of us by yourself, Daidrea, Zar'is; whatever your name is." A red glow emitted from Lakris's hands, ready to manifest itself into whatever Lakris wished when given the call.

Pain blinkeda few times before saying anything. Then he tilted his head. "Daidrea huh? Yes... there was such a person once. To whom this vessel originally belonged to... but no more. Your petty words mean nothing to me. Then the twisted elf turned his attention to Lakris. "It does not matter if a person asks for it or not. They can only pray to survive before the wrath of the gods." Pain's eyes widened in madness. "Just as only you can do."
He returned his head facing straight and closed his eyes. "If you believe you have us cornered... then you are sadly mistaken. In fact... you are the ones who are outnumbered. By my count... its 20 to 4." There was a moment of silence. "Confused then? Very well I will show you." Pain removed his outer robe and let it drop to the floor. Now only wearing black leggings, his chest and back were revealed. There were 5 orbs bulging out of his body on each side...all various colors.
"Besides us four... there are 16 Eldunari. My followers have two each... I carry 10 within."
Faint whispers of screams and roars began to fill the surrounding air.

Reb didnt even flinch at the site before her. "It matters not how many slaves you have. A shade, an elf, and the others arent easy targets. You are evil, even more so thsn Galbatorix. If you wish to prevent the world being lost agsin I sugjest you kill you and your servants." Reb snarled. Her blade flickered many different colors.

Ah, she was well aware of the fact that she would probably die. Star Gazer would undoubtably try to come to her rescue. She was begginning to wish she had listened to Niliki. The future was indeed dangerous. By knowing her fate she had chosen the shown path which lead to her coming here, most likely to her death.

She felt around for her souls. Zantya had split from her long ago but the souls had remained. Reb called upon them for the first time in her life. There were various evil, and few good. Power surged within her, and her eyrs went white as knowledge filled her mind. Bring it.

Felecia hissed as he spoke, her sapphire eyes flaring with anger. She flared her wings out further and brandished the tip of her sword,"That's bullcrap and you know it, Daidrea!" she snarled,"You are still in there, and I know it, dammit! The only way you could leave is if you died or spirits took control of you and made you into a Shade!" she barked sharply. Her face barely changed at all as Zar'is revealed the Eldunari embedded in his chest and back. She had Ebony, Reona, and whatever dragons Ebony could contact from the Ancients, along with Lakris, Reb, Jeta, Zana, and what she thought felt like Star Gazer. The midnight blue and midnight black jewel around her neck flashed angrily. Ebony could see through her eyes and was in a rage, Reona followed suit, although he never knew Daidrea himself. Jeta beat her wings and lifted from Lakris's shoulder, screeching with defiance,"If Eragon can beat Galbatorix, and he had a few hundred Eldunari, then we can beat you." she said firmly, lifting her blade into a ready position. Zana, you there and ready? she asked her Shade counterpart silently. She felt a faint acknowledgment, and she nodded to herself, ready.

"Do you consider yourself a God? Foolish, you must be. I have no need to pray to a God that allows this world to continue in one of such hatred. I especially don't need the help of a God to deal with someone like you," Lakris growled. Is this man a Shade, like me? Seeing the Eldunarya put him on edge. Lord Barst had just one (albeit, it was an extremely large one), and he was able to defeat multiple elves, even the queen. A dragon's power wasn't to be underestimated. . .But then, Daidrea was incorrect in that there were only four of them. As soon as Sylverta had seen the Eldunarya through one of Lakris's eyes, he had started making his way here. "You have no idea what you're getting yourself into," Lakris whispered to Daidrea. Regrettably, the place was probably going to get trashed, but if that's what it took to quell this man's greedy desires. . .then so be it.

Seeing that the fight was about to come to a climax, Lakris acted first. Chains constructed entirely of energy and red in color shot from his palms. They connected separately with two different statues standing on either side of Daidrea and his group. Lakris crossed his arms in one swift motion, and the statues broke, collapsing towards Daidrea's group in large blocks of cement. Severing the chains, Lakris followed by pointing his palms towards the enemy group. A bolt of lightning shot out from either hand towards them.

Pain merely looked up towards the statues as they fell towards him and his followers. There was a loud crash with dust and debree scattered around the area. It had it appeared they landed right ontop of the group. It was not the case. There was a slight space between Pain and one of the statues. His arms were crossed in front of him with his palms outward. Demi volt... his mouth whispered. A shockwave of air sent the rubble outwards, making them into deadly projectiles towards his opponents. Which they were able to dodge.
Pain relaxed his posture and lowered his arms. Blood began to trinkle from his nose. He pressed two fingers against it and then pulled back to see the blood. Blocking came with ease...but I probably used too much force pushing it back. Complete control still seems to be an issue. No matter, it will be corrected soon enough. Wiping the blood off on his arm, he turned his attention back towards his opponents. Then Pain thought about what the female elf said. "No spirits control me... but in a matter of speaking I did die. But I was reborn....reborn as Pain. This vessel is no longer bound by the chains it was once held in. I see the truth now." Pain grabbed a dagger from the side of his leggings. Slowly he raised it up and pointed it towards Felecia. Then he loosened his grip on it and uttered, Demi volt again. The dagger flew from his hand and shot right at Felecia. It impaled her in the stomach, the force of the blow sent her back into the hallway.
Pain lowered his arm. "Whatever ties you may have had with me were severed when I was reborn." He turned to his subordinates. "We are leaving, we wasted enough time here."

Reb rolled her eyes. She thrust her hands out and watched as flames slammed her opponents into the walls. Fire crept up her arms and lags as she lashed out at them. Ice formed in the air around her. She threw her hands out and watched as the ice followed her comand. Each and every exit was filled with ice.

Reb shoved back her spirits enough to thin clearly. A cyclone formed around her, the fire and ice spinning in a patern. She spun he hands in an intricate protection patern. The ice an fire followed her every move.

Felecia didn't even flinch as Daidrea deflected the stone with relative ease. She pursed her lips, her sapphire eyes gleaming, but didn't speak as he claimed all ties to him had been severed when he was reborn. She rounded her back as the dagger hit her stomach, exhaling with a sharp huff so that the weapon did as little damage as possible. She somersaulted easily and landed on her feet with a light flick of her wings, something she was only able to do because she knew how from much experience. She pulled the dagger out calmly, leaving Ebony to heal the wound, which he did, quickly, as she walked back into the room. Her eyes were like ice, and her voice seemed even colder, if that were at all possible,"You are not leaving this room, Daidrea, until you tell me exactly why the hell you decided to abandon your friends. Friends that you could probably have called family if you wanted." she murmured. Her hair obscured her face, but her hands trembled on the hilt of her sword and the dagger she still held. Her wings and the rest of her body was steady, however, ready to move however she needed in response to an attack and a counterattack.

The one known as Daidrea had stopped the collapsing pillars and shot the variously-sized granite pieces. With a deft flick of the wrist, Lakris sent a gale that sent the rocks scattering away. Lakris cursed when one woman blocked the exits with ice. Sylverta can melt it with fire whenever he arrives, Lakris decided. He had to conserve his energy as much as possible in this particular fight. Sure, his own reserve was impressive, and he had Sylverta's to boot. However, against almost two dozen Eldunarya, the greater side in terms of energy was obvious. Unfortunately, magic was Lakris's greatest weapon, so the usage of energy was inevitable. Lakris grimaced when a dagger impaled the elf on his side. Is she really that weak? he mused. No, she was an elf, so she should be able to heal the injury. Furthermore, he caught how she had minimized the amount of damage done by the dagger.

"Amaterasu Formula Seven: Shard of Destruction," Lakris murmured. He slashed his hand through the air, conjuring a red blade of energy, concave in form. It was nearly twenty feet wide although it was only a couple of feet thick. It flew towards the group with deadly speed. Lakris then gripped the hilt of his "weapon". He doubted that the battle would stay at a ranged length the entire time, and he needed to be ready if one of his enemies charged with a sword.

Pain shot his arms wide open and uttered to himself. His followers were knocked back into the walls by the intense flames. He managed to bend the air around them to shield them from the flames and reduced most of the recoil of being thrown into the stone walls. They stood back up relatively unharmed.

However they werent given time to collect themselves, for a giant energy blade was already hurling towards them. Perhaps on instinct alone, Pain pulled out his blade in an attempt to block it. The sword and the energy clashed for only a moment. Pain's blade shattered and the remainder of the attack slashed into his chest, knocking him back several feet. For a few seconds he didnt move. Then he slowly got to his feet, his face was stone. He didnt flinch or grit his teeth from his wound. Pain looked down at what was left of his sword. It was mostly just a hilt with a few pieces of metal still attatched to it. The blade was his....no Daidrea's rider's sword. Pain tossed the sword forward to the group in front of him. "I guess they dont make swords like they used to. Just another useless attatchment that has been dealt with." The Eldunari attatched to his body illuminated brightly. The wound on his chest began to heal rapidly and eventually closed.

Pain turned his attention to Felecia. "What friends do you speak of...? What family...? You? To whatever little friends Daidrea had left could never provide any relief to such a tortured soul. His parents were killed in front of him when he was a child. His only sibling was murdered and dishonored. His dragon slaughtered, he was bathed in her blood as he hunched over her. Both of his lovers were killed because he seeked solitude as tried to fight the darkness within. Thousands died by his hand because of his sorrow." Pain spoke plainly, with no emotion attatched to his words. "Nothing in this world will give comfort anymore to this soul." Pain crossed his arms and remained silent for a few moments. Then he spoke again. "We have no interest in any of you. But this experience has been....enlightening. Our paths will probably cross again." Shadows appeared beneath all four of them and voids appeared. They began to sink into the ground like quick sand. Eventually they all vanished from sight and the voids closed.

OOC:Pain/Daidrea will be out for a little bit. Ill be bringing in a different character for a bit. But ill wait till its my turn again.

Reb watched as Pain healed. She Glared daggers at him. Only a coward would let the lives of others heal him. "You are a coward. Pain as well as Daidrea. " Reb snarled, clenching her hands around her sword hilt. The flames turned black as they flicked back and forth.

Reb noticed the black voids emerge around them. "Cowards indeed. To tuck tail and run when your victims prove adversary is a sure sign. But then again I exspected no different." Reb stated with disgust. She was uterly sickened by Pain and his lackeys. They come here and xommit murder, spew world domination crap, throw a few punches and dive out when the going gets tough. She sincerely hoped his domination plan was this weak. If so the world was undoubtedly safe. One rise in rebellion and he would back off.

Felecia continued to watch coldly as the fight went on. When Daidrea/Pain addressed her, finally, she peeled back her lips into a chilling smile,"You speak of pain, Daidrea, but your friends gave everything for you." she said bitterly, her face turning into a scowl,"In some ways Reb is right. You are a coward. A coward for running away from your problems, and running away from friends that would give an arm or a leg, or even their life, to protect you." she spat on the floor, just as they all disappeared. Felecia rustled her wings, then folded them down and sheathed her blade. She turned to Reb, her eyes narrowed,"No disrespect meant, Reb, but calling him a coward is a tiny bit inaccurate, except for the points that I named. When that man was Daidrea, he was one of the bravest men I knew. He lost his parents first. His dragon, Elyrana, second. Then his brother, Xaldin. Then his first love, Erais. And last but not least, his second love, my sister, Ella." she pursed her lips, her eyebrows furrowing,"The only thing he had left was his friends. And apparently that was not enough. He has suffered more than anyone that I know. My honest opinion? It was only a matter of time before the darkness within him took over and made him into....whatever he is now. Or whatever it is that happened and made him become Zar'is." Felecia whistled softly, to which Jeta twittered in response and lightly landed on her shoulder, grasping gently with her talons so she wouldn't fall.

Post Re: Suffering of the Twisted Mind
Lakris felt a surge of satisfaction as his attack wounded his enemies, but the immense amount of energy supplied by the Eldunarya began to quickly heal the wound. Soon, Daidrea was back to normal. After a bit of talking, Daidrea and his group disappeared into indefinitely dark voids, no doubt off to plan or execute their next move. "We have to go after them," Lakris said. Turning to Felecia (as she knew him the most), he asked, "Do you have an idea of where he might have gone?"

Sylverta, stay outside. We'll probably be heading off in a few minutes, Lakris informed his dragon. A mental grunt of acknowledgement was heard from the red dragon, and Sylverta complied.

Lakris was planning to kill this "Zar'is" as soon as he could. While Lakris himself respected power, he respected those who could obtain power of their own far more. Those who just made use of dragons to become strong were weak in soul to him. He had come to realize that after working under Galbatorix. Another thing he had learned: no one should have control over such power.
