 Books on Tape Who here heard the books on tape, and if so what did you think of them? I liked them except for Saphira's voice.

The audio for both books are OUTSTANDING! I first purchased the CD's and later the books. I did it backwards this time. I really admire Gerard Doyle's performance. The amount of voices he does are amazing. It's marveling the way he speaks the elven, dwarvish and Ancient language with such ease.
If I would have purchased the books before the audio, I would have just skipped the printed sections of those. When I did buy them I enjoyed those a lot more.
The audio has the advantage of being able to do the household chores, the driving, even the purchases at the supermarket. I carried them everywhere. so convenient!!
I agree, Saphira's voice is not what I would have liked, but then again, she is a dragon.

But I alwas imagined Saphira's voice as more feminine. Eragon's voice will hopefully deepen, as it is kind of high right now, and he is a man. But I really liked what I have heard so far. They are great!

for stupid reasons You can go online or call you nearest Barnes & Noble and order them over the phone for it to be shipped directly to the store and you can pick it up there. You don't need to pay for it in advance if it is shipped to the store.
There is an ongoing set of CD's for $39.00. This is in American dollars.
