I think that that is a good name for the last book in a series. Fate brought us to that book, and fate will bring eragon to an end, at least on paper.

personally, I'm thinkin the title will definitely be in the Ancient language just because of how important it is to the book. So if it is something he inherits im also thinking it will be a personality trait that he received from brom or some deep emotional feeling he inherited just in the ancient language.

I agree that the title should be legacy. That just sounds right. Empire wouldn't be a good name for the final book.

If Legacy becomes the new title, maybe his legacy might be his children. That would be so cool.

What's all this about an epilogue?

well, I don't think flying cars are an option, but maybe a future could be cool, like eragon is over a hundred years old and has kids or something...

Personal opinion::

The epilogue of a series ending like HP did with the kids isn't a copyrighted ending. It's been used in many other places before Ms. Rowling did.

Well, as one of my favorite authors said, there's really only one story: boy meets girl. All writers are inspired by other writing and ideas, they're all copiers. =P

As for my idea of the ending, I have no idea. xD

my point is, every author borrows, some more adeptly than others. i try to not let it ruin what is a fairly enjoyable series. :]

Lord of the Rings has a lot of things that can be copied from it. I have noticed way too many movies to mention that have something similar and even some newer books that do the same thing. Eragon is one, and Harry Potter is another.

Maybe the title could be Freedom, if they are leaving alagaesia, or the opposite because they will never come back. That's if he and arya do get together. i hope arya doesn't die.

Freedom would be good, but maybe too.... i dont know the word, maybe something to do with the fact that the king as been killed and alagaesia is saved, maybe like Salvation? Or something similar...?
