Ed Speleers s u c k s (the filter blocks it if i put it together). and so does everyone else, except of course jeremy irons! hes great! Gender: Girl Affiliation: SF Rebels	i think its good they used new actors. coz if u used all the ones everyone new the movie i think wouldnt suite them like for instence imagine they put like daniel radcliffe in this the movie would look so wierd so i rekon new caracters are better tho i do like jeremy irons in this he is so funny i nearly cried wen he went! _________________ Oh No of course!You must have worked hands free, like Hey I'm the doctor I can save the universe using a kettle and some string, and look at me im wearing a vegetable- David Tennant

Believer New Peasant Joined: December 18th, 2006, 10:24 am Posts: 27	Actors can only act with the script they've been given. There is very little room for poetic license or creativity. You don’t necessarily need better, or more experienced actors, you need better producers and directors.

It could happen to anyone, no preconceptions please! Personally I didn’t think Elijah Wood (Frodo) or Mark Hamill (Luke) looked like saviours either … but I guess Arnie’s chosen politics now, so they'll have to do.

Arya Svit-kona Green Dragon Joined: June 13th, 2006, 1:14 pm Posts: 7742 Gender: Girl Affiliation: Dragonriders Dragon: Glacies	i think da reason they got sum1 new like ed speleers is cuz dat he's new. like eragon. in the book, eragon starts off as a simple farm boy. but then he changes a lot and all dat stuff. mayb they wanted to get sum1 who's not used to acting a lot and hasnt been in any movies yet cuz they get into character better or sumthin. cuz i've heard ed speleers say how he feels himself to b jus like eragon, ya kno cuz he's a newcomer. jus a thought, dats all. but i cant say nething bout ed's actin yet cuz i havent seen the movie yet loll

Gender: Girl	I agree with 'Believer' it's not like the actors really get choice about what they say and how closely it follows the books. If they did what would be the point of a director? (although I personally think a penguin could have made a better film and stayed closer to the book ). Personally, I think they could have chosen a much, much, much better voice for Saphira but that's just my opinion. The director/producer needs to be slaughtered and that's that. It was such a horrible movie not only did it not stay close to the books but it was CHEEZY! . The only good part was the beginning (what evil word to spell!). By the way, does anyone know the name of the director and or producer? I'm too lazy to look it up:). _________________ September 20 can't come soon enough....

Actually (admittedly off at a tangent to Eragon) ... but I also saw Happy Feet within a few days of seeing Eragon ... I was looking forward to seeing Eragon and was dissappointed with the film. I was dreading seeing Happy Feet but was rather amuzed by the film and actually left the cinema feeling quite up beat.
