Post new Faefnir application
hope this one works out. once again, thank u very much firetongue.

Name: Faefnir

Age: 50002 years old

Gender: Male

Skills: Far-sightedness- Faefnir can see all across the land of Alagaesia without moving from his abode. This allows him to know what events are happening and when he needs to appear. This skill also gives him an astounding ability to predict the future extremely accurately. He constantly uses this power to give counsel.

Fire and Ice Breath- Faefnir has the traditional ability to breath fire on his enemies when great strength is needed, but even more importantly, he can use a special ice breath that is not lethal and allows him to deliver people to where they need to be without any harm. This skill is not difficult for Faefnir, so he prefers that over fire breath.

Magic- An extraordinarily powerful magic user, Faefnir uses this skill when attacks must be swift and accurate. He is extremely deadly and has never been beaten in a wizard's duel because his age makes it relatively easy to break into his opponent's mind and start to control him. Faefnir rarely uses his magical ability, preferring to work his way through things than just taking the easy route. Faefnir's magical ability automatically makes him astoundingly powerful in comparison to the rest of his race, as he has only met two other dragons with the ability to not only control magic, but understand it as well (his current mate, Star gazer, and his "brother," Aeraldi).

Race: Dragon

Home: Stronghold, his mountain fortress in the Hadarac Desert

Parents: Mother- Navarre; Father- The Great Dragon by blood, Fowlein by relation (both deceased--the Great Dragon is immortal, but never appears)

Siblings: His half-sister, Phalynx

Personality: Faefnir is a very fiery individual, but he is also kind and merciful. He doesn't kill someone unless it is absolutely neccessary and even then, he gives them a chance to explain themselves. He is no longer subject to his temper tantrums, as his dark side was eradicated by the Shade Nilarek during their first encounter. He is very wise and knows much, if not all, concerning happenings in the Empire, Du Weldenvarden, the Beors, and even all the way to Doru Araeba, perhaps beyond. He gives this knowledge freely if he knows the recipients intentions, which is always. He knows all, he sees all, he hears all. If a person standing before him has evil intentions, he will not say a word. He loves the world and he loves his magnificent race and it is his wish that one day he will assist in the Great Battle that will destroy Galbatorix and restore the race of dragons to it's former glory. And Faefnir will be there when the battle draws nigh, for nothing will stop him from slaying the accursed Shruikan and his corrupt Rider.

History: Faefnir was born well before the rise of Galbatorix and before the coming of the elves, although he was still very young when they sailed to Alagaesia in their white ships. He was born from the dragoness Navarre, a resident of the Dragon Fortress he now rules alongside his mate, Star gazer. Navarre was chosen specifically by the Great Dragon to bear his offspring that will one day lead the dragon race back to their days of glory. Because of this, he was given great power over dragon-kind and was able to hatch early so his great deeds can be accomplished sooner. He saw the elves arrive at the Teirm beach and he immediately fell in love with them, though he had no intention to choose a Rider when their time came. He established his dominion in the barren Hadarac Desert and forced himself into exile when he foresaw the rise of Galbatorix and his 13 Foresworn. By doing that, he saved himself from almost certain death and has lived there ever since. He rarely goes out of the boundaries of the desert, but one time while he was flying in the nearby forest of Du Weldenvarden, he met and befriended the White Stag of Feldunost, an immortal deer that could continue running without rest and jump incredible heights. They had many walks together in Du Weldenvarden and the Stag eventually decided to stay with Faefnir in the Hadarac Desert. From that point on they have been close friends. When talks of a dragon egg stolen by his neighbors to the south, the Varden, reached his ear, he forced himself into a comatose state so no one may ask him about what to do.

It was over 100 years, just after the Battle of Farthen Dur, that Faefnir awoke and came forth into the world again. Since this occurred nearly two years ago, Faefnir has seen a great many victories and defeats. He saw the horrors of the Dragon Hold, a dragon prison where Galbatorix kept all the dragons he captured and attempted to crush their spirits and make them mate. He was a monumental player in the Draconian War, and despite his brief foray into darkness and slavery, he is considered a hero of Alagaesia and a household name to Varden and Empire alike. He remains humble in his elevated status, however, because he knows that a much larger threat than the draconian horde is loose in Alagaesia: his own dark side, Rimfax, freed from his prison within Faefnir's mind by Nilarek. This shadow dragon, similar in every way except mentally to Faefnir, is now his number one priority. For as long as Rimfax remains alive, or at the very least free, nobody is safe.

Weapons:
Claws- A master of the art of the claw, he fights with them almost like a sword, except the blades are far sharper and they are greater in number.

Magic- As with any magic user, he draws his strength from around him, except he takes it not from living creatures, but from the earth itself, the most powerful source of energy in existance.

Fire and Ice Breath- As explained above, Faefnir prefers the ice breath over fire breath, although he will be driven to use the latter if great strength is needed.

Teeth- His snapping jaw is as dangerous as a Shade, and his teeth never decay or lose their color except when they are stained with the blood of his prey.

Likes: The White Stag; freedom; flying

Dislikes: slavery; corruption; injustice

Animal companions: The White Stag of Feldunost

Physical description: Faefnir is a monster even for his kind. He could easily be mistaken for a foothill of the Beor mountains were it not for his glorious golden scales and white ivory spikes. He stands at over 100 feet tall and about 50 feet across. His head is oddly triangular and unlike the rest of his body, his eyes are a deep shade of blue, which is usually a sign of greatness amongst the dragon race. Faefnir's teeth are as long as Murtagh's sword, perhaps longer, and his claws are even longer and extremely sharp.

Dreams for the future: To see the glory of his people restored, and rid the world of Rimfax

Reasons for dreams: It is his duty to see these tasks completed.

Side: Good. Faefnir works for the betterment of all, not just dragon or elf or human.

Someone else RPing a dragon. Yay. Anyway, the one thing that's bugging me is that the elves got here many more than 5000 years ago. Make it 50,000 or something bigger, I'd think. Nice history, but you could explain a little more of how he attacks in Weapons, since its kind of obvious what he attacks with. Fix those little things and your accepted by me.
