Ruins of a Lost Era

Gender: Guy Affiliation: Dragonriders Dragon: Avadius	Ruins of a Lost Era Incendia sniffed the air for a time. She had followed an injured wolf for miles and though she could have caught it by now, she felt inclined to see where it would run off to. To her surprise, it wandered deeper into Du Weldenvarden than she would have thought. Infact it went in so deep she lost it in the brush. With a quick shake of her head from her foolishness she forced her way though the trees and slashed a clearing for herself. After snapping up a few monkies from trees she decided to fly again. The past few days hadn't been all to eventful though she liked it. Going deeper than perhapse even the elves. So much wasn't known of this forest, its vastness was so wide she doubted even the elves knew it all. Finally after hours of flight she broke her way though another scattering of trees and brush. The trees were huge here, many were wider than she was tall. In the shadows she could see the eyes of creatures, so from what she could tell might even be as large as her. I wonder what's all back here... she said to herself. She missed her friends and family, but felt the urge to explore the land some more. What it was, she did not know. How long had she been running, she did not know. There was only the moment. A massive, indistinct shape crashed through the canopy ahead of her. A flash of darkness.] Myn jumped up from her sitting position, alerted by a commotion in the brush at the edge of the campsite. This deep in the great elven forest, there was no telling what manner of creatures stalked the forest at night. I smell blood...could use some fresh meat. When the creature, an injured wolf, stepped into the moonlight, she struck. Withdrawing the knife from her wrist holster, she whipped it towards the wolf, striking home in its neck. She could smell blood and meat, something had caught something else. Maybe she'd see what it was and take it, provided it was not a human, elf, or something else of that manner which caught it. After carving her way though the brush she came across a human like being cutting up the remains of the wolf she had been chasing a bit ago. She eyed it for a moment, but decided it would be best to not steal the kill, even if it was rightfully hers. She approached the person and said, What brings you this far into the forest? When she looked down, she saw only the tree's shaking with movement. "Nirexi, go down right there." She gripped tighter knowing that this may be uncomfortable for her. As he descended he pulled his wings in close, free falling into a break in the canopy, then he stretched out his wings and his claws, letting them dig into the side of a massive tree. He carefully used his claws to lower himself down the trunk, avoiding a crash with the forest floor. Immediately the smell of blood entered his nostrils, and he snorted, Something was killed recently. He could feel as his Rider nodded, gently patting his neck, and tightening her grip. Finally, he found the forest floor with his back paws, and let himself drop down, making a semi-loud thump. They followed the scent of blood, coming upon a clearing, where a two-leg sat with a deep red dragon that Iz and Nirexi knew from their time with Eris. "Incendia? Fancy seeing you here." Isabella dropped down from Nirexi's back, landing gently on her feet. Going about their daily business and without much thought, many wild animals trekked through the forest like they owned it, which truthfully, they did. The trees themselves were at peace, all of them were linked through a single, mental bond that connected every tree in Du Weldenvarden with the vast presence of the Menoa Tree. Suddenly, alarm spread throughout the residents of the vast forest in a particular area. Natsu's eyes opened sharply and widened. He stood up from the ground where which he had previously been meditating and examining this area of Du Weldenvarden. He was so deep in that he had to have his sword out in order to cut through the many shrubs and bushes that were taller than him. There was very rarely death in Du Weldenvarden because the animals here were peaceful and would very seldom even harm another. This meant that someone else was probably here. Throwing his pack over his shoulders, Natsu walked to where he had felt a mind disappear completely, manuevering through the forest and sometimes forced to cut down a path. When he reached a clearing, he hid behind a tree, concealing his mind. Blood stained the ground, and he could make out a dragon, no, two dragons in the area as well as two two-legs. A dragon's distinctive telepathic words thundered in her head as she worked, and the crashes through the brush indicated that at least one more dragon had also landed behind her. I hate telepaths. "I came here because I'm sick of being asked ridiculous questions," she said with a smirk to the wolf. "Why am I different? Because I woke up one day and decided to be, of course." I think I'm going to like you Min. Most two legs seem to be born. And sorry for mind speak, we can't talk like you can. Unless you can understand growls of course. She laughed and turned her head as a dragon rider pair flew in. She trotted over to them, she had seen them last with Eris and others. It was so odd to see them again when there wasn't a battle to be done. Isebella, Nilerxi, nice to see you two again. How are you? What brings you se deep into the forest? She glanced over the younger dragon, "You haven't seen Raill by any chance have you?" The panther had said to meet him in the forest, but of course, the where wasn't discussed. She absently scratched the scales on Nirexi's leg, and spoke to the other two-leg, "Everyone is different, unless you're twins." She thought a moment, glancing at Nirexi who felt the need to interject, Even then, personalities are always different. He settled down, sitting on his haunches and proceeded to lick his claws. Isabella shook her head at him, "I am Isabella, this great oaf here is Nirexi."
