 Suicide Mission" With all due respect sir, I only agreed to help. I never would have agreed if I knew you just wanted to have me and Star get killed so your army can take over. I won't force my dragon to commit suicide. I will not go onto that battlefield and not fight." Reb said as she ran to catch up with the general.
" With all due respect would mean that you would do what ever it took to respect me. I have an iron clad contract from you, sighned with dragon blood. I'm no genius but I know a dragon can not go back on that sacraed pack." The general shouted in her face. " I don't care if Star sighned that. You told us we would just be here to give the soldiers courage." Reb said almost in tears. " If you don't do this, than I will kill every dragon on that mountain you and your dragon call home." He said and then turned around and stormed away. And now two days later. Reb was atop her dragon, awaiting death. Reb had tried to get Star Gazer to reconsider. " What would Faefnir say if he found out you were going to die for no cause?" Reb said exasperated. " He won't say anything, because I am not going to die. They are." She said nodding towards the on coming army. |

Re: Suicide Mission There was more to the deal than met the eye. The general very well knew of Star's relationship with Faefnir and he took that into account. Extremely discreetly, he snuck into the dragon fortress and kidnapped Faefnir. He knocked Faefnir out with a very heavy club, then induced him into a magical sleep, being mildly knowledgable of those things. When Faefnir awoke, he was chained down in an underground fortress, but where he didn't know. But it was clear that it was very young and built with great care. He had a feeling that the general had been planning this since Star gazer and Faefnir became mates. Faefnir had no idea as to what his intentions were, but he was guessing that the general planned to use him as leverage in case Star gazer proved disloyal to him. Faefnir prayed that she would be disloyal, then she will know the truth.

Re: Suicide Mission Star Gazer watched as the battle began . All arrows swung towards her. IT was like everyone was holding their breath to see if Star would jump into the air. And just before they hit her, she did, and the general screamed for her to be contained.

Re: Suicide Mission Faefnir was not far from the battle. He heard the general screaming at the top of his lungs, but for some reason his telepathy wasn't working. He tried hard to contact Star gazer, but the room seemed to be contact-proof. Helpless and without communication, Faefnir only hoped that his mate would be alright.

Re: Suicide Mission It was like a dream. When the dust was invading her senses she had thought she heard Faefnir's roar, but she must be imagining it. She shook her head to clear it of dirt and she began to dig in the rubble for her rider, franticaly she searched for Reb.

Re: Suicide Mission Faefnir tried to roar again, but the loss of his voice made it weak and feeble. He thought swiftly about what to do, then decided to try something else. His tail being his only free appendage, he slammed it as hard as he could into the metal walls, causing a very high-pitched sound that continued ringing in his ears long after the sound had died off. He slammed his tail into the wall again, causing the same high-pitched sound. When the ringing ended, he rammed his tail into the wall one more time, but couldn't do it anymore, the ringing was so painful. As he continued struggling against the chains, someone started to unlock the door.

" I wasn't imagining it. That was faefnir's roar and that is the sound of his tail." Star called gleefully and smashed through the door with Reb on her heels. Star slid down a flight of stairs as the ringing continued. |

Re: Suicide Mission As the door opened, the General walked in with a squad of soldiers following him. He swiftly walked up to him and held a large, gleaming knife up to Faefnir's throat. Faefnir acted quickly and slammed his tail one more time. This caused the General and his soldiers to recoil and cover their ears as the ringing stung them. Faefnir hoped this could buy his rescuer some time.

-Fankor was out riding his horse jax through the forests to the south of his farm. Laverra was out hunting while he was finishing so work around the barn and decided to take his horse out for a ride. He could tell Jax was enjoying the ride very much. Fankor had no destination in mind. He kinda let Jax decide on where he wanted to go. While riding, Fankor heard a very high pitched riging that he heard three or four times. he stood there for a minute when he heard the sound again. he started riding in the direction where the ringing was emiting from, also calling to Laverra to follow in the distance. he rode untill he came upon a dragon and a rider taking off. Fankor knew these pair from a mile away. Reb and Star Gazer. From the looks of the surroundings, it look as though they crash into the castle. "Reb, are you ok? Whats going on?," He said through his mind,"Laverra get over here, and quickly!"- _________________

Re: Suicide Mission " I'm fine. Get out of the way. There is an army near you." Reb called, and then ran after Star Gazer. Her dragon was all the way on the bottom floor. Reb spotted them before Star did. A group of soldiers and a large dragon. She shrieked as a ringing peirced her ears but kept going. The soldiers recuperated and attacked her but none stood a chance against fire. The general locked in battle with her while Star rushed to the dragon that was captured's aid.

She snorted her anger and broke the chains, while Reb twisted around the general and held him in a choke hold then Star heard a sickening snap and the general fell to the floor. Dead.

Emrhyst crashed through the ceiling and roared with delight as she found her rider. Eriel smiled slightly then tried to break the chains again. She could not. Emrhyst laughed, You're growing weak young one. Then attempted to break the chains with her claws. She roared angrily when it did not work. Re: Suicide Mission - Fankor reached his farm and shut Jax back into his stable. He then hopped onto Laverra's back and they flew back toward Reb, Star Gazer, and Faefnir. It was a much shorter ride on dragon back, and along the ride Fankor still pondered over what was going on. They landed and looked around for everyone, but noone was there. "Faefnir, Star, Where did you all go?," Fankore asked. Just then Laverra heard a slight roar in the distance. She knew that roar just as she knew Star's and Faefnir's. "Emrhyst," She said as she took off again. Barely giving Fankor a warning, and he almost flipped off backwards. Laverra sensed what Fankor was thinking and answered his question before he could open his mouth. "I heard Emrhyst over here,.. that maybe where Star and Faefnir took off to."-

So far they had been going good, they were a couple of seconds in front. They passed the invisible line that marked their finish. They had beaten their own time and were congratulating each other until Aelir saw a golden dragon below him.
Faefnir? He wondered for a second before he noticed that it wasn't quite golden. And not near large enough. Keralin there's another dragon below us. Not one that we know. Keralin was busy trying to figure out whose dragon call he had just heard. It was extremely muffled, and if he couldn't ask Aelir about it because his thoughts didn't identify the different dragon calls. My jailmates," She pointed to a rough looking man opposite her, and an old man about to die. "Have been teasing me about how weak my magic was." Eriel laughed and burnt the chains completely. She stopped as she felt her strength return to her. "Well I guess the drug's wore off. Well anyway, Orrin was rather drunk, and his new advisor looked suspiciously like Murtagh though that can't be, he's in Uru Baen, training for the next assault."

Galbatorix has taught me alot recently and I've been itching to test it on someone here." He looked around at Feafnir, then StarGazer, then Eriel. He tilted her neck and winced as Eriel broke his wrist. "Do not try me human, with Galbatorix's magic or not, all of us here are more than enough to kill you and your dragon." Murtagh stared into the eyes of each of them. "Really... Try this." Me i-l-s eriel Star Aeraldi - Just as Murtagh started swinging at Eriel, Fankor shot an arrow that impaled him in his upper left calf. Murtagh let out a loud cry of pain as he fell to the ground. Thorn seeing his rider in pain released Emrhyst and ran to protect his rider. Keeping his eyes on Fankor, he failed to notice Laverra charging him. Her Muscular tail struck Thorn right on his neckwhich sent him staggering sideways. Knowing that Thorn was much stronger, She used this moment to her full advantage, engulfing Thorn in a raging burts of fire. Thorn roared in pain. He lunged out of the flames and grabed his rider by his armor with his talons and then took off into th sky. " Is everyone alright," Fankor asked.- _________________

Re: Suicide Mission - Fankor, feeling very confident in his skill with fire, Notched an arrow ,and with a slight smirk an his face let in lose while calm saying " Brisingr," when Thorn came into perfect range. The arrow struck Thorn right in the underbelly and exploded on impact. The dragon Roared in great pain as he started gliding to the ground. Thorn hit the ground head first and his body flipped over backwards. Murtagh, who jumped off just before the impact with the ground, was already tending to Thorns wond. "I think we got 'em now," Fankor said as he started walking towards murtagh, sword drawn ready to fight. But then something unexpected happend. Murtagh muttered a few words in the ancient language, and everything just went dark. Some type of smokescreen covered the whole area and it was impossible to see anything. Fankor dropped from his feet and laid face on the ground as three arrows flew right past his head. All Fankor saw next was a burst of red light as he heard Thorn get back on his feet and hop into the air. "Come on we got to go after him," Laverra said as she went to go check on her rider.-

Re: Suicide Mission "Down!" Said Keralin in the ancient language and some of the smoke fell to the ground. He swayed with exhaustion. There was much more to this smoke than just particles in the air.
Aelir, after watching Keralin cast his spell, decided to take the matter into his own claws. He reared onto his hind legs and flapped his wings as hard as he could, trying to clear the smoke. Re: Suicide Mission Eriel frowned. She created a huge ball of water above it and made it crash right onto the smoke, desipating it even more. She wayed from the effort used. Emrhyst growled at Thorn. You're not getting away! With a heave, she shot into the air, quickly catching on some air currents that carried her almost close enough to snap at Thorn's legs.

Re: Suicide Mission Star Gazer launched into the air and knocked Thorn in the side. She grabbed at his wings with her teeth, but he knocked her away. Then she dove underneath him and scored his underbelly. " Come and get me Thorn." Star taunted and he sped after her. She manuvered herself out of the way as his jaw clamped closed next to her tail. She slammed her tail spike into his head then latched her teeth onto his wing. " Emhyrst come help please." Star said as she gripped his wing and pushed against his side. He roared in pain as he clawed at her.

Re: Suicide Mission Emrhyst growled in affirmation and slammed her tail spike into his claw, efectively parrying the blow and getting Eriel close enough to stab his rider and she did just that, almost, catching him on the right shoulder blade. As Thorn roared again, Emrhyst dove under him and latched onto his wing and pulled as hard as she could, trying to remember her lessons with Star Gazer.

Re: Suicide Mission Faefnir saw this opportunity to help with the battle. He took off and built his speed and momentum. He rapidly approached Thorn, was being held by both of them. Then, he rammed into Thorn with all his strength and momentum behind him. This move effectively helped Emrhyst tear off his wing. Sorry I had to intercede, but you would have never torn it off. You were holding it much too high. You have to hold it close to the joint where the muscles connect. Watch Star. He laughed at himself. Giving Emrhyst combat lessons when they were in actual armed combat... seemed a bit absurd to him.

Re: Suicide Mission Keralin held back, watching the fight while his energy was low. Something was disturbing him though. The dragons were fighting with a fury unlike any other, then it hit him. Murtagh wasn't anywhere to be seen. Keralin searched the ground for any sign of him. Unfortunately the only sign he got was when the hilt of the sword hit his head, rendering him unconscious.
Aelir was itching to join the fight in the air. But he remained on the ground as he knew he would just get in the way. His claws gripped the ground as he tried to maintain himself. He suddenly felt a sharp pain erupt in the back of his head. He looked behind him ready to attack anything that was there but nothing showed itself. He reached his mind for his rider and found him unconscious. Murtagh was standing over Keralin's limp body. She said with a grin then breathed fire onto Thorn's other wing which was quickly snapped off by Star gazer. (Sry for the gm) She then drew back her tail and flung it back up at her friend. Heads up! She shouted up towards her.
