OOC- Background info -Pronounced SAY-lon-err -Set much in the style of Alagaesia's times (eg. no electricity, main living for humans is farming or fighting) -No limit to whatever fantasy creatures live here- if you can dream it up, it can be in the land -There is a cold sea to the north east, which is frozen for much of the Winter and Autumn -Dense forests stretch over the south and south-east of the land -The rest of the land is populated by humans, other creatures tend to live out of the way of them -Anywhere else is uncharted and open for exploration -Slave trade of centaurs was abolished a while ago, but as always there will be law breakers -Not much is known about the ruler or politics of the land; apart from the slave trade, things seem peaceful -This is the basic info about the land, everything else is up to whoever wants to join
IC- Sunlight filtered carelessly through empty patches in the forest canopy, like sand trickling silently through an hour-glass. Birds chirped and cackled ceaselessly from high tree branches, disrupting the quiet and peace of late afternoon. Ohanzee sat on the forest floor, leaning against a large tree root protruding from the crumbly ground, the powerful muscles under the coat of fur tensing and relaxing as bursts of pain panged up his back left leg, making it jerk sharply every so often. He didn't complain, only grimaced every so often, thinking carefully. Throughout the years, logic and persistence had been his key to survival- he wasn't about to abandon his methods now.
Despite the decades he had used honing his talents, the centaur hadn't even spared a thought for the gentle craft of healing. Now it would have really payed off... He hissed and clenched his hand into a fist as another pang bolted up his calf muscle, feeling as if somebody had stepped up and cut open the flesh once again. Daring himself to glance back, Ohanzee winced merely at the sight of his open wound- a large crimson blotch encrusted the back of his leg, dried and matted into his fur, and fresh, warm blood pooled onto the ground slowly but surely- the flow wasn't stopping. Feeling a little light headed, Ohanzee felt for his bow and quiver at his side, he would have to do something or he would lose too much fluid.
Carefully, he considered his options- find help from another herd, wait for the wound to heal, or travel towards a human village seeking a healer.
He didn't know if there were any centaur herds near here, he could be wandering for days - weeks if he decided to search for one. Even if he did find a group, he would probably be driven away. Experience of leading a herd of his own had taught him that. Centaurs were naturally protective of their territory- if an intruder trespassed, it became serious. They wouldn't accept him as one of their own either if he was injured- these days herds were looking for the fittest, the strongest to join their forces, not old cripples. So that option was out.
Neither was it a good idea to wander wounded through these forests- injured creatures were easy prey, and he doubted the wound would heal by itself now anyway.
That left only one option. Sighing, Ohanzee pulled himself to his hooves leaning on his bow, and hobbled westwards, where he knew he would come upon a small village where humans dwelled. It was certainly a sad day when he knew he depended on a weaker race for survival.

OOC: Is it okay if I join?
IC: Fangoth was walking down the human road towards the beautiful forest. He enjoyed being in this strange land, but he was weary of its creatures. Fangoth entered the forest listening to the birds chirp and cackle. Then he laziliy sat down to think over what Verna told him.
She told me to find a good place, away from humans and rest there. Hunt if I need too, but don't stray far from the safe place. Okay, now she told me something else, let me think here... pondered Fangoth. Yes, I remember now! She told me to stay in the safe place away from the creatures that might harm me..... Great....
Fangoth snorted, for he liked adventure. Especaily in unknown places that he hasn't explored yet. He layed down on a pile of leaves, which crunched underneath his weight. He lifted his head at the sky. He daydreamed about catching a good meal, like those pesky rabbits that always taunt him with their fluffy little tails. Then he jerked away from his daydream, for he smelled the faint scent of blood..... Coming closer..
Fangoth froze, hoping that nobody will see him, even though it might not work because of his dark coat..

OOC- Great! Thanks for joining
IC-Ohanzee dragged himself towards the sparser reaches of the forest- he knew he was close to the village. It was a bonus having 3 extra legs too- he moved along fairly quickly considering his injury. As the trees thinned, a road began to appear. He stayed near the side, hemmed in by foliage- it felt safer that way. Suddenly, something caught his eye. He vision was slightly more blurred than usual, but nothing too bad. Squinting, he saw a large creature, concealed in the shadows... Oh God! he thought. A wolf! This was just what he had feared... Swiftly but silently, he brought his bow in front of him, and nocked an arrow. Despite his skill in archery, his vision faltered, and he stumbled on account of his injury. The centaur slipped, and the arrow embedded itself in a tree trunk right next to the creature's head. Ohanzee cursed angrily.

Fangoth couldn't move, his legs didn't obey him. He whined with fear as he saw a centaur string his bow, but the arrow failed to get him and it hit the tree trunk that was behind him. I'm a friend! I'm not the stupid mutts that you'll find here! howled Fangoth. He got up and hid behind a tree before anymore harm could reach him.
Celeste, please protect me from harm... Why am I praying to a god? questioned Fangoth to himself.
In the village nearby, Verna was getting goods and meals and doing theives stuff. Verna stole a ring, a scepter, and a wizard's staff. Verna knew Fangoth would get mad at her for stealing again, but she knew that she could frame someone else.
OOC: Yay!

Ohanzee blinked in surprise. A talking wolf... that was odd. Then again, he had seen much stranger things in his time... "erm..." he started, swaying slightly as his leg jerked again. "I apologise... I didn't realise." He lowered his bow, replacing the next arrow in his quiver, still keeping an eye on the wolf. He decided he couldn't waste any more time with idle chatter, hoping it wasn't a trap, he dipped his head in a tiny bow to the wolf, and continued in the direction of the village. Wisps of smoke rose from chimneys, which he spied over the trees, and for once was glad to see the settlement so close. Supporting himself against various trees he encountered on his trip, Ohanzee hobbled towards the marketplace, ignoring looks of awe from passers-by. He could understand though- centaurs rarely emerged from the depths of the forest, and he was hardly inconspicuous at over 8 feet in total...

Fangoth stealthly followed the centaur into the village. He liked centaurs for they were noble and creatures that were common in Avalia.
He also knew that they can be dangerous too. Then he spotted Verna, awkardly dragging a large wagon behind her. "Hey Fangoth! Do you want to be hosre again?" asked Verna. Fangoth rolled his eyes. Well, yes and I geuss you weren't serious when you told me to find a nice safe place to stay at.. scoffed Fangoth. Verna smiled and put the wagon on Fangoth.
Now they were offcailly the strangest people in the village. A large black wolf with thick hair was dragging the wagon behind him and a little person was perched on the wagon smiling at people. And secretly, she stole the head wizard's staff...

Ohanzee spotted the wolf dragging a large wagon, and smiled, approaching him. Spotting his companion, the centaur stopped in front of them, and politely asked the small person perched on the wagon "Excuse me ma'am," he paused glancing at the wolf "and sir, but are you local? I'm looking for a healer." He flicked his tail in annoyance as a rather small dog tugged at it, who's owners rushed up looking horrified at it's behaviour, to drag the creature away, which struggled bitterly in their grasp. Ohanzee turned around to see yet more citizens gazing at him and the large wolf with mingled fear and respect. For some reason, there was also a very angry looking magician stomping around questioning people...

Verna smiled at the centaur. "Hello and well met, centaur. I haven't seen a centaur in another country for years!" Verna giggled. So we meet again. At least this time you're not shooting arrows at me...
"I'm not local, but I know how to heal with herbs! Trust me, the herbs from Avalia and rather... powerful.... But I'm Verna and," Verna pointed at Fangoth, "This is Fangoth. He's a little teddy bear inside...."
Fangoth glared at Verna. And he snarled at a dog that came too close to the wagon. The dog ran away with his tail behind his legs whimpering. Mutts...
Verna grinned again. "So, I see that you have met Fangoth before." People had their mouths wide-open and their eyes were wide. A child clung to his mother and pointed at the wolf and centaur.

OOC-No, no limit, and you can join if you like lol.
IC- Ohanzee couldn't help but smile. "Well met Verna, well met Fangoth. Again I apologize." he turned to Verna, and pointed to his back leg, where there was a huge gash running down the length of the calf muscle, open and still bleeding. "This might sound stupid, but I'm not as young as I appear, and this is being a bit of a pain. Do you have anything that could help? I will be able to repay you when I have replenished my stock of arrows, if you are interested in weaponry?" he offered. "I wouldn't have ventured here if I still had a herd." he explained bitterly, the words alone paining him more than the injury.

Verna jumped down and opened up her pack. She got out a few herbs and a bolt of cloth. "This may hurt a bit!" she warned. She washed the wound and mashed the herbs up into a thick paste. Then she applyed the thick paste on his wound and wrapped the cloth around it. "There, that should be better! It'll pain you for a few hours, but it'll heal right up! The herbs I used are from Avalia! Though they were my last batch.."
You have no herd? That is unusual.... What happened to them? asked Fangoth. Verna is right, your wound will heal in no time! She is a ranger, meaning she knows how to heal with herbs and etc!

Ohanzee bent to examine the paste, before straightening, satisfied. "Thank you." How inclined his head to Verna. "I hope I can find a suitable way to repay you." Turning to Fangoth, he felt a terrible ache grip his heart, constricting as memories flashed through his mind. Suddenly, Ohanzee opened his mouth, and for the first time ever, released the details of his past to mere strangers. It surprised him, but he felt better for it. "No less than 50 years ago, I had a herd. I led the herd. They all respected me, I ruled well, protected them, used sense to keep us all safe and healthy. It was a prosperous time- I had a mate, with an unborn child. There had been no happier time in my life." He sighed, the grip on his chest tightened. "Then the slavers came. They took a good quarter of the herd- my mate, and along with her, my child. Everything that meant anything to me." Ohanzee paused. "I spent at least 2 decades searching, naturally I had to leave the herd to look for her- they wouldn't have wanted me anyway- I couldn't protect them against the slavers- mere humans, and I couldn't stop it! I left before they could force me to step down, it saved me the shame too. I suppose I haven't even thought about joining another herd after that- it's just not the same, and being alone gives me more time to think." he looked around, seeing many villagers listening intently, who hurriedly pretended to carry on as they were when he spotted them. "Of course, wandering alone has it's disadvantages- no protection of a herd for one." He remarked, gesturing at his leg.
Slightly embarrassed that he had revealed so much of himself, Ohanzee hastened to change the subject. "But what of you both? I haven't seen such a creature as you, Fangoth, in these forests. You mentioned a place? Avalia?"

"I am sorry... Losing a herd to slavers is terrible... And your mate and your unborn child... I'm sorry for your lost!" said Verna.
"Now Avalia... Fangoth is only native there, thats why nobody knows what creature he is! He is not a wolf, surpraisingly, he just resembles one. Now Avalia! AKA The country of splendors, The Forest Country, The Cursed Country, Country of War, lada lada and all that other stuff. Now, Avalia is one vast country, and most of it is covered in all types of forests. Temperant, Jungles, and other forests. Now, the only ture human settlement is the capital city, Dragoneye City. The rest of the humsns are either adventurers, Amazons, or part of the Northern Tribes. I can go on and on, but it is a vast subject!" completed Verna. She clapped her hands.
Everybody was listening intently and pretended to be shopping. Children sat down nearby, gazing intently at Verna, Fangoth, and Ohanzee.
Verna is an halfling and I'm a magical creature. added Verna.

Ohanzee mulled over the description. "Sounds like a nice country..." he remarked. "The forest country... plenty of space, hardly any humans." A wide gin spread across his face. "Sounds like my kind of place!" he pulled out his quiver, and examined the remaining arrows. "hmm..." he grunted to himself, and pulled out half the load. "If you'll excuse me, I need to find an archery trader." He said politely. "As soon as I have money, I will pay for the herbs, and your help- as well as an apology to you, Fangoth." Ohanzee smiled, and walked away, feeling a little more stable that before.
Stopping at a stall which was laden with bows, arrows and quivers of all shapes and sizes, Ohanzee presented his bundle of arrows with a flourish, to the merchant. Whittled to a fine shape, tipped with the sharpest flint, and the flights are wild pheasant feather. Ohanzee exclaimed proudly. "What will you give me for them?" Reluctantly, the merchant leaned forwards and took the arrows, carefully rotating one between his finger and thumb. "They are finely crafted, strong arrows, but how do they fly?" At the speed of light, Ohanzee fitted one to his already strung bow, and released it with a light twang. It flew in a perfectly straight line, until it headed between trees in the forest, and they lost sight of it. "That's how." Ohanzee grinned, making sure he remembered where the arrow had gone, so he could fetch it later. The scratched his stubbly chin as if pondering what to offer. Eventually he produced a leather pouch, and counted out several coins, pushing them over the stall. Grudgingly, Ohanzee accepted, knowing that was the best offer he would get, and wandered back towards the centre of the village.

Verna sat back in the wagons seat, thinking about if she should tell Ohanzee that she stole the wizard's staff... She tilted her head toward the sky. Thinking, right? But, Ohanzee, our country sounds nice but it is full of dangers. The forest is ruled by mainly the elves that live in there and the druid's can be dangerous... The tribes are dangerous too! But, there are lots of centaur herds too... And your apology is accepted. said Fangoth. Verna grinned.
She sat there silently waiting to see if the centaur would return to the center of the village. Ooo! Can I tell the centaur something else too? And can I bring the wagon with me whereever I go? IO enjoy running around with a wagon behind me! asked Fangoth. Verna nodded.
Fangoth leaped and ran with the wagon bounceing behind him, with his tongue hanging out of his mouth. Verna fell into the back of the wagon, with a grunt. Fangoth's tail wagged as he tracked Ohanzee's scent.

Ohanzee trotted casually forwards, admiring the quaint buildings. They weren't all too skillfully constructed, but they were certainly better looking than those in major cities. Suddenly the huge wagon came speeding around the corner, pedestrians practically flying out of the way. Ohanzee quickly leaped to the side of the street as if he had been walking on hot coals, and approached Verna and Fangoth as they skidded to a stop. "I found payment." He grinned, offering the coins he had recieved from the arrows, the money catching the light as it lay on his plam.

"Thank you!" Verna said respectfully and took the coins. "Where are you going now, for now you're stuck with us! You know that forests better then we do, but I need to tell you this:" Verna paused for a moment and whispered to Ohanzee, "We, well I, stole the wizard's staff.... Nobody caught me... But I need it for something.."
Fangoth twisted his head around to look at the halfling. So you stole something... Again... sighed Fangoth. Then, forgetting about the trouble, started to wag his tail excitidly.

Ohanzee repressed a grin, and just shrugged instead, lowering his voice. "To be honest, I don't care for human laws anyway. I don't live here, I don't obey their justice system." This time he did grin. "I just like to avoid a fight though." he winked, before proceeding to inquire further. "So, what is it you need it for?" Ohanzee asked warily, looking to the cart as if it would just be laying on top for all the world to see. It wasn't.
Ohanzee didn't really have any fears that he knew of, but was certainly uneasy in deep water, around uncontrolled fire, or with magic users. He had known Fangoth was a magical creature, but that wasn't like this. Subconsciously, he nervously shifted his weight, scuffing up the ground a little. "I'll gladly escort you in the forests if that is where you need to go." he offered.

Well, Verna is "famous" in Dragoneye... She's the most wanted because she stole the Arch Wizard's staff, Solomon's staff, Evona's staff, the head preist's mace, and more... She's only "famous" in the Laws of the Gods domain of Dragoneye...... Fangoth shook his head.
"Yes, back into the forest! We know how to survive in forests.... And magic users are no problem... All you have to do is sneak behind them when they aren't aware that you are there, well wizards are like that...." said Verna. It looked like that she was confusing herself...

Ohanzee shrugged a little to himself, as if to say Well, what the heck- go for it... and headed back towards the gloom of the trees, conversing with Verna and Fangoth all the while. "So what did you do with all these things? There's no way you could sell such objects- unless you passed them on to a "dodgy dealer"?" He grinned from ear to ear. "And of course, not to mention- the forest here. You make your way as thieves... well, a thief and her companion," he chuckled, "but to be honest, there's nothing worth stealing in there." He motioned with his thumb towards the ever looming expanse of lush foliage. "Unless of course your planning on battling dragons or something just as heroic." Ohanzee raised an eyebrow and smiled.

"Hmm... Well, we... Kept them... They're inside of my pack..." Verna said cautiously. I have to keep Verna in check. Her father was a well-known theif too, and her mother was a divine spell-caster.. said Fangoth. Verna glared at Fangoth. He continued to travel on with the wagon following behind him.
"We don't mess around with dragons... We usually work for a good one or an evil dragon that "forces" us to work for it.. I stole my sword, necklace, and guantlets from a dragon's hoard. And it wasn't easy..." Verna smiled casually. We respect dragons... Even if they're evil.. added Fangoth.
"What do you thinkl about dragons? You have gotten our opinion, but what is your opinion?" asked Verna.

"Dragons?" Ohanzee asked in surprise. "Well, to be honest I've only met one, and we didn't do much talking." he kept his eyes on the forest ahead, watching it grow nearer, ever in anticipation. Soon they were trundling between sparesely spread birch trees, a gentle breeze rustling the leaves. "I respect them for what and who they are, and like to think I understand their nature. But of course you can't generalize." Ohanzee shrugged again, shifting the weight of his quiver so that it rested more comfortably in between his shoulder blades. "I haven't gone as far into the forest as I used to, so I haven't had a chance to get acquainted with any ferocious beasts recently." he laughed dryly.

Fangoth sniffed the air. His ears perked up. Smell something? inquired Verna. No... False alarm.. said Fangoth unsurely. "Do you know what type of beasts that live in the forests depth?" asked Verna. Fangoth, are you sure that you'll be able to pull the wagon far into the forest? I'm sure that'll have to hide the loot in the magic bag...
I'm sure that'll be able to carry it far!
Okay..
Verna sat back in the wagon relaxing and enjoyin her time.

Ohanzee let out a whoosh of breath. "Nobody knows exactly what resides here. I could go on for hours, but there are many I've heard of, several I've even met. You've got your centaurs obviously, a few scattered humans, your everyday bears, wolves- common animals. Then of course, there's the fauns, but they're just generally more annoying than ferocious." Ohanzee chuckled. "Dragons, demons, griffins, arachnes, cerberus, tree spirits, hellhounds- like the legend of Fenrir, I was reminded of that when I first saw you Fangoth." Ohanzee exclaimed. "You name it, it's likely to be in there." Ohanzee pointed once again, before explaining. "But they would be in the depths, where the trees are so close barely any sunlight crawls through, the water is tainted, food is sparse and only the toughest beings can survive."

"Well, this forest sounds much nicer..... In the Great Forest of Avalia, there are beasts, like Gnolls, goblins, bugbears, ogres, orcs, Yaun-Ti, rakshasa, some demons, giants," Verna paused for a moment. Winter Wolves, worgs, and other evil races reside in the dark depths of the Great Forest. But this forest sounds just as dangerous as the Great Forest. We also have to be careful about what caves we enter too. It could lead to one of the beasts homes, or it could lead to the Underdark. Which is no place for surfacers... We also have the common beasts and then the elves and etc.... We have a long list of creatures that live in Avalia, that it could take days to name them all..... said Fangoth.
"Can you tell us the legend of Fenrir?" asked Verna. She was laying on top of a few blankets. Fangoth looked tense, too.

Ohanzee continued walking as the trees began to cluster around them, remembering what he had gleaned of the myth on his travels. "It's and old legend, originated in the north somewhere. It involves the old Norse Gods too, and is so far unfinished- so it doesn't have an ending. I expect those from where it originated still believe it to be fulfilled sometime in the future." He explained, and gave a small cough before starting.
"Fenrir was, is a wolf, the son of Loki and the giantess Angrboða. He is bound by the Gods, but is ultimately destined to grow too large for his bonds and devour Odin during the course of Ragnarök. At that time he will have grown so large that his upper jaw touches the sky while his lower touches the earth when he gapes. He will be slain by Odin's son, Viðarr, who will either stab him in the heart or rip his jaws asunder according to different accounts.
Fenrir has two sons, Hati ('hate') and Skoll. Skoll chases the horses Árvakr and Alsviðr, that drag the chariot which contains the sun. Hati chases Máni, the moon.
Learning from the prophecy of the sybil and from his contest with Vafþrúðnir that the children of Loki and Angrboða would bring trouble to the gods, Odin had the wolf brought to him along with his brother Jörmungandr and his sister Hel.
After casting Jörmungandr into the sea and Hel down into the land of the dead, Odin had the wolf raised among the Æsir. Only the god Týr was daring enough to feed the growing monster. The gods, urged by the wolf's increasing strength and by prophecies that he would be their destruction, attempted to bind the great beast. Twice he agreed to be chained and twice easily burst out of two successive fetters. The first, made of iron, was called Lœðingr. The second, also of iron, but of twice the strength, was called Drómi.
Odin then had the dwarfs forge the chain Gleipnir ("deceiver" or "entangler"). It appeared to be only a silken ribbon but was made of six wondrous ingredients: the sound of a cat's footfall, the beard of a woman, the roots of a mountain, bear's sinews, fish's breath, and bird's spittle. Skírnir, Freyr's messenger, brought it back to Ásgarðr.
Then, in the island called Lyngvi ("Heathery") in the lake called Ámsvartnir ("Red-black") (places unknown to us), the gods challenged Fenrir to break this chain also. But the wolf noted the thinness and fineness of construction of Gleipnir and not unreasonably suspected a trick. He agreed to make the test only if one of the gods was willing to place his hand in the wolf's mouth during the binding as a pledge to free him if he failed to break the chain. No god was willing to do this, until Týr stood forth and placed his hand in the wolf's mouth. Fenrisulfr strained to burst the chain but the more he struggled the tighter he was held. When the gods would not free him, the wolf bit off Týr's hand at the wrist, the point afterwards called "the wolf joint".
When the Æsir saw that the Wolf was fully bound, they took the chain that was fast to the fetter, and which is called Gelgja 'Thin', and passed it through a great rock—it is called Gjöll 'Scream'—and fixed the rock deep down into the earth. Then they took a great stone and drove it yet deeper into the earth—it was called Thviti—and used the stone for a fastening-pin. The Wolf gaped terribly, and thrashed about and strove to bite them; they thrust into his mouth a certain sword: the guards caught in his lower jaw, and the point in the upper; that is his gag. He howls hideously, and slaver runs out of his mouth: that is the river called Ván 'Hope'; there he lies till the Twilight of the Gods.
It is prophesied that at Ragnarök the wolf will at last break free and join forces with the enemies of the gods and will then devour Odin himself. After that Viðarr, Odin's son, will slay the wolf to avenge his father, either with a sword through the heart, or by tearing apart the wolf after placing one foot shod with a special shoe on its lower jaw and one hand on its upper jaw."
Ohanzee finally concluded. "So in effect, some believe to prophecy to become true." He shrugged, a small smile darting across his lips.

Fangoth blinked. I know that I'm not related to that wolf... Like I said before, I may look like a wolf, but I'm not a wolf... I don't even have wolf blood in me. To be truthful, I'm a mutt, but a magical beast mutt. Fangoth grinned widely showing his fangs.
Verna thought for a moment. "That is some legend.... I know a few legends myself.. Though, they're long...." Verna's mouth twisted into a frown as she thinked. "And these Old Norse gods aren't from Avalia... They come from a country that I don't know the name of it."
Do you want to know one of our countries myths? I know a few... Some of the clerics say it's ture and not a myth... But that'll be for another time....
Fangoth began to get a bit more tense. What is wrong Fangoth?
Nothing for you to worry about....

Ohanzee laughed a little at the though of a magical beast mutt as Fangoth had put it. Glancing at the creature growing ever tenser, Ohanzee considered his answer, before replying. "I'd love to hear one of your legends, so long as that is ok with you too Fangoth."
OOC- Sorry for the short post, I have to go soon lol.

Fangoth growled to a nearby bush. I'll tell you when we stop for camp if you want to continue to travel with us... Fangoth's hackles were up. Verna jumped up and found what was inside. And it was a.....
Rabbit. An innnocent rabbit. Fangoth growled at the rabbit. Scared of bunny rabbits? And I thought that you're Fangoth the Fearless..... said Verna, being amused at the fact that Fangoth was growling at the rabbit. Fangoth glared at Verna.
OOC: Err.. Sorry if it was kind of short....

Ohanzee smiled, and watched the rabbit flee. With a flick of the wrist, he made a spontaneous decision, nocked an arrow, and let loose. It whistled through the air, his aim straight and true, catching the rodent at between the shoulders. The creature fell immediately, dieing instantly- it felt no pain. Ohanzee bounded towards his kill, and carefully removed his pheasant feather arrow, examining it carefully. Eventually he decided it was good to use again, wiped the crimson blood off on the grass, and replaced it in his quiver. With a swooping motion, he picked the rabbit up by the back feet, letting the blood drain as he carried it back to Verna and Fangoth. "Don't know when we'll get a chance to eat again- the deeper forest is less bountiful than here on the outskirts." he explained.

Fangoth sighed with relief. Verna layed back on top of the blankets thinking about what it'll be like as they get deeper into the forest. Then she rolled over and put her head in her hands. "Are there any fey that live deeper in the forest? I'm just wondering.." asked Verna.
Why do you ask Verna? Who knows what could be in there!
But he hasn't been that deep into the forest for awhile...
Okay.... Fangoth snorted with frustation(sp).

Ohanzee considered the question. "Fey..." he rolled the word around his tongue. "I've heard the word, so for all I know there could be. They're kind of like... magical, aren't they?" He asked, racking his brains to see if he could shake out any memories that might help.
By now, the dirt road had dwindled away, and the trio had to carefully pick their way through the scrub to avoid capsizing the wagon. Trees huddled closer than before, but still allowed a generous amount of dusky evening light to grace the forest floor. As they walked, Ohanzee subconsciously scanned the ground for something which he might use to skin the rabbit- he had lost his knife when he was injured. He suspected flint might work just as well.

"Flint works well for skinning your rabbit. But fey... Fangoth will explain what they're better then I can.." answered Verna.
Fey are magical creatures that can be dangerous. Drayds, nympths, glastings, sirines, and others are fey. And we can't forget about pixies, nixies, fairies... So have any of the names of the fey creatures that I have mentioned live here? asked Fangoth.
Verna jumped down from the cart. Time to get out the bag, Fangoth....
Great.. Are you going to tell him about that bag of yours, Verna? Yes, I have too!
Fangoth shook his head. And then stoped so Verna could take the pulling equipment off of him. Fangoth jumped with joy when he was free from the straps.

Ohanzee shot a sideways glance at the pair, and smiled faintly before swooping down, and picking up a piece of flint he had just spotted. Flipping it in the air a little and catching it, Ohanzee lay the stone in his palm, admiring it's glinting edges. It looked oddly like it had been shaped before, but he was too tired to be suspicious. Anyway, it was exactly what he needed.
"I'm sure there's a few, if not all kinds of fey around these parts. Nymphs, I am certain of, the others I have heard about from reliable sources, and I'm sure there are many more that remain undiscovered." He answered swiftly. Carefully, he laid the rabbit on the floor, and set the flint beside it, ready to go searching for firewood, when he noticed Fangoth's excited behaviour. "What is it?" he asked curiously.

I smell an old friend nearby, and I'm free from the harnesses! Yay! he exclaimed. Verna got out a rather lare bag for her size and droped it on the ground. "Hmm... Ohanzee, do you want me to show you some of the staffs that I stole long ago? I don't mind.... Two of them were from my friends," Verna beamed, "And the other one was when I went on those ridiculous missions... Evona's staff is my favorite one..." Verna sat down and waited for Ohanzee's answer.

"You mean you stole staffs from your friends, or they were presents?" Ohanzee chortled, admiring the skill of the thief.
Without waiting for the reply, Ohanzee nodded briskly, and nudged the rabbit with a hoof to shake off a settling fly. It would be best not for dinner to be caked with insects... "I'd love to see them." He beamed, eying the bag almost suspiciously, and settled on the dusty floor of the small clearing, absent mindedly turning the smooth flint over and over in his palm.

Verna grinned mischieviously and opened the bag. "They were old staffs that they don't use any more. Before they could throw them away or sold them, I stole the staffs from them", said Verna. She pulled out a knarled staff with vines wound around the staff. At the top was a large green-glowing orb. "This is Evona's staff. You can tell that she was a druid. She had it for awhile and then gained a more prettier and more powerful staff. I wish that I stole that one istead of this. Now," she pulled out a long wooden staff with runes streched into the wood. A magical arua surrounded the staff. "This is Solomon's staff when he was an apprentice to an old elven wizard. He uses his own wizards staff now." Verna leaned over the bag to see what else was in there.
You lost that other staff inside the magic bag!?! scowled Fangoth.
Well sorry... You know that this is a very rare type of magic bags!
Fangoth snorted.
"Now the bag that I pulled out the staffs from is a magic bag. It can hold large items, like a staff and very heavy items like a scepter. Now the weight of this bag is pretty light. So, you can say that the bag reduces the weight of items!" Verna grinned. Verna put the items that she stole and brought in the village into her bag. Then Verna settled down on the blankets that was in the wagon. Fangoth jumped on the wagon, which groaned under his weight, and layed down beside Verna. They waited for Ohanzee's reply.

"That's a very interesting bag." Ohanzee remarked with delight. "Where did you get it?" He asked, wondering exactly how much the bag could fit, and thinking of all the ways he would be able to put one to use.
Turning his attention to the staffs, Ohanzee gazed into the trees, subconsciously studying the gnarled trunks, and peering into the blackness beyond. Suddenly, he realises that it was rapidly growing dark, shadows creeping across the floor as though to pull them into the blackness, and he stealthily rose to collect wood for a fire.
Staying in the clearing so he could continue conversing with Verna and Fangoth, he asked "So, what is your liking with these staffs? I can see they are very beautiful, and hold the potential of power, but I can't imagine you use them? Do you?" He turned to her, a small bundle of tinder in his hands.

Verna took the tinder and found some stones as she worked on getting the fire started, Fangoth answered Ohanzee's questions. We got the bag from Evona. She probably got it from Merserflixious. Now we keep the staffs fro Merserflixious, or otherwise know as Merry. But that is when we meet him again.
The fire was started and it was roaring. Verna helped start the flames with a tiny bit of magic. She gazed at the aky as at the setting sun. "Is there going to a be a full moon tonight, Ohanzee?" asked Verna.

Ohanzee followed her gaze to the sky, admiring the bright round moon emerging from the clouds. "I'm not sure." He admitted, taking the rabbit. "Either tonight or tomorrow night, that's for sure. I haven't been keeping track recently..." he explained, turning the flint to the dead animal he now held. Swiftly, he stroked the sharp edge down the creature, peeling off fur and skin alike with force and a little compassion. He didn't like to see animals suffer, but they had to eat. "So, Merry... why do they need the staffs? This all seems very mysterious, and quite interesting." Ohanzee chuckled.

"Well, Merry is a rather nice dragon. Plus he's old.... Very old... But don't worry, we're nice good people and not like those foul people that call themselves powerful...." said Verna. And, Verna is a rather powerful ranger. I've been with her ever since she was fifeteen years old. added Fangoth. Fangoth jumped down from the wagon and went towrds a larde boulder. He climbed on top of the large boulder and sat down, facing the bright moon. He stared at the moon.

Ohanzee followed Fangoth's gaze into the sky. He looked at the brilliant shining moon- it looked pretty full to him. Then he gazed into the inky blackness of the sky, thinking about how time went much more quickly in company.
Pulling his consciousness back to earth, Ohanzee reached for the rabbit. Carfully he constructed a small spit, and threaded the meat onto it. It was surprisingly tender. Balancing it onver the flickering flames, he waited for the fire to get going a little more, and pondered what Verna and Fangoth had said. A friendly dragon... he mused to himself, watching shadows dance mysteriously around the clearing, weaving in and out of the tree trunks.
"Maybe we should go shooting sometime." Ohanzee grinned at Verna. "I never caught where you are headed- what is it that you are exactly journeying for?" Ohanzee inquired, a little confused.

Verna sighed. "Fangoth knows where we are going exactly. I just know the country's name.." answered Verna. Fangoth woke up form his day dream and sniffed the air. Then he approched Ohanzee. We are heading towards Feayahe. We are to find Evona and Merslifious there. But the we ended up here, because of the wretched portals and the unpredict comings and goings. So Verna headed towards the village to get supplies and find out were we ended up at. And then we met you... said Fangoth. He wagged his tail and laid down beside Verna, waiting for the meal to be done. Verna patted his head, and stood up.
erhaps tomorrow we can shoot. It would be nice, you know!" Verna beamed.

Ohanzee grinned. "That, it would." he agreed. Sighing, he looked at the sky. "It's funny you should mention that name Fangoth, I have heard of Feayahe, and I believe I know where it's located. However, as I feared, we would have to endure the deep forest, and cross straight through the middle..." Ohanzee gestured with him forearm and if slicing through the air "... to reach it." he sighed, feeling the trepidation rise in his chest. Rotating the rabbit a little, he continued. "Though whether it is the border of a country, or a portal, I don't know. Those who have gone to search for it haven't returned, and I dread to think what happened to them." He rubbed a bit of crumbling dirt between his fingers. "I have nothing to lose, but I don't like to put others unwillingly in danger. We need help locating our certain path too, or else it could take years." He explained, racking his brains for creatures he had known so many decades ago, who might help them.

Verna grinned. "In Avalia, the deeper you went into the forest, the more dangerous and darker it gets. I have lived in a dangerous forest for many years of my twenty years that I have lived. But, the forest I knew had the druid groves and the wizard circles... I don't know iif this forest has either of them. But, it'll be an adventure to go into the forests depths. I don't fear death...." Verna stared at the glistening rabbit. Then, Fangoth laid down near the fire, watching the meat hungryly(sp).

Ohanzee stared into the flames, the waving patterns and warmth almost hypnotic. After a short time, he wordlessly lifted the rabbit out and shook it off the stick onto a large flat stone, a hissing noise erupting as the hot meat met the cold stone. Eventually, he prodded the carcass with an index finger, testing the temperature, then announced heartily "Help yourself." With his fingertips, Ohanzee carefully tore off a back leg, trying to avoid shattering any bone or burning himself, and held it by the end, waiting for the food to cool a little. As he did so, he glanced into the shadows of the trees, wondering what was lurking out there waiting for them, who... or what they might meet at any moment. He wasn't sure if the sense of unknowing was chilling or comforting. He didn't really care.

Verna took two of the legs and thrown then to Fangoth. Fangoth snapped up the meat. Then Verna took some more of te meat and headed towards a log. For some strange reason, she felt like they were being watched as they ate the meal. Fangoth finished his meat with no hestation(sp). Verna looked into the forest, wondering what will happen to them when they enter the depths of the forest.
Fangoth took the rabbit bones fro his meal and burried them in. Then he laid down and put his head in his large fluffy paws and slowly he closed his eyes. Verna patted him on the head. "So after we clean-up, should we go to sleep for the night?" asked Verna.

OOC: Ok, I can't help myself! This is a perfect entrance point for my char... So if y'all don't mind, (Hope y'all don't) I'm going to enter in now.
IC: Arai'as hid in a nearby tree, watching then centaur and halfling. That sure smells good.. He thought to himself. Arai'as quietly sneaked to the other side of the tree, his claws dislodging tiny bits of bark as they dug in. Will have to wait till they fall asleep.. Maybe longer.. His ears pointed straight ahead as he tried in vain to listen in on their conversation. His mouth watered from the delicious smell of the rabbit. "Just awhile longer and you will be mine.." He whispered.

Fangoth snarled when he sensed something nearby. He didn't like the feeling of the presence... We have something nearby.... But I don't thimk it's hostile.... he said unsurely. Verna looked behind her but didn't see anything. I thought you heard or smelt something, yes, I feel like I'm being watched, but stop being so tense! It could just be a innocent bunny.... Verna sighed. Fangoth pathetically looked at Verna and sighed, trying his best to relax. Verna rolled her eyes, and continued to wait for the centaur's reply.

Ohanzee peered around them. He had experienced the same feeling a while back, but didn't want to mention anything for fear of appearing as a coward. He shrugged indifferently, not wanting to drop their guard.
"Yes, I suppose we need rest. Two of us can sleep, one should probably keep watch. Judging by the spacing of the trees, we must be further into the forest than I originally thought." he remarked a little uneasily, realising how time passed so quickly in company. "I don't mind taking the first watch- I'm not really tired anyway." He offered, stringing his bow, and placing the weapon where he could easily reach it, taking assurance from the cold smoothness of the polished wood.
Swinging his quiver onto his shoulders, the centaur positioned himself at a good vantage point where the fire couldn't hinder his vision, but he could still glean it's precious warmth. Carefully, he examined his leg. The mulchy paste had dissolved, leaving the wound sealed, and just a long rough scar in its place. Ohanzee doubted even that would be there for long.

OOC: Okay!
IC: "No, let Fangoth get first watch. His senses are better then both of ours, and he is pretty good at telling who is our foe or friend," suggested Verna. Verna pulled out a few heavy blankets and a pillow, and put out them out on the ground by the fire. Then she sat down on the blankets and admired her surroundings. "I'm glad that the paste has healed your wound. By the time that we leave in the morning, the scar should of dissappeared, or later on the day... But, at least that scar won't get infected." She glanced at the stars as Fangoth sniffed the air. Should we keep the fire lighted up? Just to ward off any predators... asked Fangoth.

OOC- Still got block Gryn?
IC-"Hmm... okay." Ohanzee agreed. "We should probably keep the fire going for as long as we can, it get's kind of cold in the early morning too." he noted, shuffling a little closer. "And there's plenty of firewood up for grabs nearby anyway." he observed. Silence fell, and he stared into the flames. Twisting around each other, flickering too and fro- it was almost peaceful.

OOC: Not as much anymore.. Still tryin' to get back in my grove so excuse the posts of mine if they are lousy for a bit..
IC: Arai'as silently grumbled at his misfortune. Perhaps this 'Fangoth' will fall asleep... Its my only hope.. Otherwise I will have to either sneak around to get at that meat or find some other food.. He thought. Arai'as licked his muzzle at the thought of food. He hasn't eaten in quite some time, and an easy meal like this, he wont pass up to soon. "Fall asleep you foolish mutt!" He whispered to himself. "Errr! All of them need to sleep!" Arai'as quickly cupped his claw around his snout, trying to catch most of the loud whisper within his hand. Pigs! I can't be that careless! That mutt might have heard me now!
OOC: If your wonderin' why I said 'pigs'. Its a more PG-13 way of 'cursing', like Fudge or crab cakes... So to speak.

Fangoth's ears perked up when he heard a whisper. His sharp hearing heard all of what it said. Now I know where the intruder is at, and I shall get my revenge for being called a 'foolish mutt'.... Ha! He thinks I'm a mutt... Well I'll show him what this mutt can do! Fangoth sniffed the air and tryed to figure out what his enemy is. Verna put in more firewood and laid down to sleep.
I think this... Lycanthrope... Great.. commented Fangoth to himself. Fangoth then got up and went toward the enemy, and then he hid in the shadows, where the darkness will conceal him.

Verna opened her eyes, and noticed that Fangoth had dissappeared. Fangoth! Get your butt back here! shouted Verna through their mental link. Fangoth snorted, being annoyed, and went near the fire; laid down and put his head on his big, fluffy paws.
OOC: Sorry if it was a bit too short...

OOC: I hope you guys don't mind if i join.
IC: Eriel and Emrhyst were flying above the clouds, Emrhyst's great wings beat the air, they enjoyed the freedom of flight more than anything but each other's company. "Lets go down Emrhyst, we need to set up camp." Eriel said this as the bells on her saddlebag jingled away. "You sure? I'm not going to fly so high up again you know." "Oh im sure" She added with a laugh, "But right now we must rest." "Okay then"Emrhyst replied with a sigh. As soon as Emrhyst started her decent, Eriel's eyes caught sight of a campfire, "Land there Emrhyst." Emrhyst swerved to the side as the turned, nearly making Eriel fall off her back. As they got closer, Eriel noticed a creature spying on the innocent band of travellers. She nocked her longbow and with deadly acuratecy {Sp}, pinned the creature to a nearby tree. They landed and looked at the creature they had trapped.

Ohanzee jumped awake- he felt like he had been hurled off a cliff, with the horrible jolty feeling in his stomachs... technically he had two. Hearts pounding as though they would suddenly burst through his skin, he scrabbled about in the dim light to found his bow and jumped up, fumbling for an arrow.
Something was in the forest quite nearby- as though it had just dropped from the sky. It had sounded like bells were rattling as well, but Ohanzee thought he might have dreamt that. He had been expecting an encounter with something dangerous, but not this soon- they had only been in the forest one day!
The centaur didn't bother trying to be stealthy, whatever it was would surely have seen the light from their fire anyway... maybe that was what had attracted it, like a moth seeking warmth. Cautiously but confidently, he marched towards the edge of the clearing, bow held strung and taut, arrow at the ready. He knew whatever it was would be more likely to attack if he appeared nervous and vulnerable.

IC:"Well, looks like we caught a sprite!" Eriel ignored her dragon as she was too intent upon the sprite that they had caught. "What is your name? Why were yo-" she was cut off by the sound of hoofbeats afew meters away. She quickly hid Emrhyst from sight by casting a spell on her. As the stranger approuched, she noticed that he was a centaur. Knowing how dangerous centaurs were, she nocked an arrow and took aim. Before she could release the shaft, the centaur nocked his bow and shot her in the chest, causing her to release the magic on her dragon who let out a loud "Rawr!"

Verna jolted awake from the loud noises near by. In the name of Celeste, what is happening? she thought to herself. She groggily got up, put Leafagas on and the magic bag and went towards the commotion. Fangoth followed her, well aware of his surroundings.

Eriel groaned as the arrow struck her, her dragon's mind radiating anger and concern. "I shouldn't have held back, i should've known he would shoot." " Hush now little one, while i deal with this centaur! " Emrhyst made a rush at ohanzee, whithin seconds, she had pinned him to the ground and held a talon at his neck. " Why did you wound my rider!"

OOC- I didn't shoot anyone! *sniffle* LOL oh well I'll go along with it.
IC- Ohanzee struggled in pure terror. In the confusion, his bow had been sent flying, and he couldn't reach it. His hand ended up aimlessly fumbling in the dirt. He also had a horrible feeling that he had been pinned on top of his quiver, cracking all the arrow shafts. Oh God it's a dragon... he though to himself, his mind clouding over with numbing helplessness. He had only encountered beasts like this in the very depths of the forests, never so near human settlements as this. "I didn't know!" he replied, his voice cracking a little. Carefully, he composed himself as best he could, and held still. The dragon hadn't harmed him yet (apart form now having a very battered and bruised side) and he wouldn't be able to escape anyway. Gaining a little composure, he continued more calmly. "I apologise mighty dragon- I hope I didn't harm her badly." he said sounding concerned. "We just saw her and these forests can be dangerous to us all- I wasn't sure if she would attack and I wasn't about to wait and find out. I'm sure you can appreciate that. If you release me, I will gladly assist in helping her any way I can."

Re: Ceylonur
OOC:XD lol sry... rofl IC: Emrhyst released her grip on Ohanzeee as her rider started groaning in pain. For a moment, she wondered why she didn't feel anything, then she knew, Eriel had cut off their mental connection. " If I find out your lying, I'll kill you. " She gave him a savage look. But behind that look was a very different look. A look that said 'please help her'

Re: Ceylonur
Verna rushed into the clearing. Hmmm.... A dragonrider... How interesting... she thought. Fangoth cocked his head. Interesting indeed.. Fangoth "smilied" and Verna looked at the dragon. "Weeellll, it looks like that you're not from around here, or Avalia, or Feayahe.. So, you do look like a good, friendly, stranger, sooo...." Verna stopped for a moment and thought on what she should say next, then she grinned. "I hope you don't have any wounds, but why are you here?" Fangoth looked at the dragon, and he wagged his tail.

Re: Ceylonur
OOC: No one's replyin to poor Eriel rofl. very well then, I'll wake her up myself =P I know the post's kinda messy but... i think you'll know how to respond XD
IC: Emrhyst projected her thoughts to that everyone could hear, "We're not here for anything, we're just adventuring and Mr-shoot-anyone-who-comes-near-me had to wound my rider, you know, I-" She was cut off by a sound coming from the back, she looked up and saw Eriel standing, clutching her wound with one hand and the arrow, still bloodied, in the other. "Emrhyst, lend me some strength, i need to heal this wound, it hit a vital spot." Instantly, Emrhyst melded her mind with her rider's, the mental connection, along with the pain returned so suddenly Emrhyst let out a roar of pain. Afew seconds later, the pain was gone and there was no trace of the wound, except for the bloodied arrow and the loss of energy. Then, in her usual cheery tone, Eriel said, "Hey there! Errr.....You guys can stop staring at my dragon, she won't hurt you." Everyone stared at her, amazed at the change of character that had come over Eriel.

Re: Ceylonur
"You know... er..." Ohanzee coughed nervously. "Verna had some... um... healing paste that you know, might have been more..." Ohanzee stopped, not sure what to say. Instead, he turned and swept his bow up from the floor in one fluid movement, before turning back to face the dragon and her rider.
"I apologise for the... accident." Ohanzee bowed a little, choosing his words carefully. Remembering his quiver, he shrugged it off his shoulder, and stared in dismay at the cracked arrows. Pulling one out of the leather pouch, he saw that it was snapped clean in two. The others were similarly deformed, causing him to stamp angrily. He had sold half of them a while ago too to pay Verna and Fangoth for their kindness.

Re: Ceylonur
Verna smilied. "When I was being taught by my mentor, she taught me how to craft arrows... Do you want me to craft some for you?" Then Verna went on to Eriel. "And I still have a bit of that healing paste left, you know. It would of been better than using your energy to heal that wound. But you are adventurers? Nice... I am one too..." Fangoth snorted. We are sorry to stare at you, dragon. Out of cuiousity, do you have an hoard, dragon? Most of the dragons at Avalia have hoards, except for the ones that adventure alot... Fangoth looked up at the dragon and waited for their reply.

Re: Ceylonur
Emrhyst looked at the ruined arrows, her regret could be sensed by everyone there. She almost missed what Verna had said. Projecting her thoughts so that everyone could hear, she turned to Verna, saying, "Oh? Dragons in Avalia have treasure hoards?? I should see some of them.... And yes, me, myself and my rider are adventures." Then she spoke to Ohanzee, "I'm... sorry for the arrows... I shouldn't have been so rash." Within her mind, Emrhyst told Eriel," I like this centaur, he's not like the others i've met." "Indeed.... infact, i like all of them here, they would make worthy companions." Eriel then spoke to Verna, "Oh?? I've seen them before..... they smart alot but it heals every wound... except emotional wounds and that of death. Well, thanks but no thanks, you should save them for when you really need it. And erm... well....we're kinda lonely, travelling in the wilderness alone, do you think we could erm... join you guys?"

Re: Ceylonur
Ohanzee bitterly began snapping the flint heads off his broken arrows, dropping them into the quiver for when they had time to replace the shafts, and tossing the wood onto the smouldering fire.
"Thank you for the offer Verna, help would be appreciated when we have time." he nodded at her.
Looking to the dragon and rider, Ohanzee stated: "I have no objection to travelling together- the more the merrier, right?" he said, reminding himself that he hadn't travelled with anyone else in decades.
"But we probably need a better introduction than an arrow to the chest..." he said injecting a little black humour to the conversation, but still toning in an apology. "I am Ohanzee, servant of nobody, dweller of these forests." He bowed slightly to the dragon and her rider.

OOC:So..... should we wait for gryndel?? I kinda put that part in for him, but... if he doesn't reply then i guess we could imagine some 'creepy guys' LOL I'm going to pm him, just incase he forgot.
IC:Eriel and Emrhyst returned the gesture, she said the traditional phrases and added, " I am Eriel, im still young for an elf, about 116, i don't use swords much and this is Emrhyst, my faithful dragon, who, i must warn you, has never before hesitated to kill someone who has threatened my life, you were quite lucky." She added with a laugh. Eriel turned her neck, she strained her ears, "That's strange.... i thought i heard something...." She quickly nocked her bow, her usually cheerful face giving way to an extremely solemn expression, her eyes scaned{Sp?} her suroundings, she strained her ears for anythings that might give the intruder away.

Re: Ceylonur
Verna grinned cheerfully. "Well, I'm Verna Tealeaf of Avalia. I am a well-known thief, adventurer, and traveler of the Great Forest. I serve Avalia and Isilia, Avalian goddess of the woodlands. And this is Fangoth. He is my loyal and faithful companion that has always traveled with me." Fangoth "smiled" again. I don't think it is wise to go into a dragon's hoard, or they'll slay you without any excuses, for they are very protective of their hoards. And the paste is a special kind... Not made of ordinary herbs... But, don't worry about the sounds. I suspect something is following us, so leave it alone. It might turn up and explain why it is following us. But, like I said before, leave it alone. said Fangoth. Verna patted him on the head. "Now, we must all rest. Fangoth takes first watch. I'll take third," said Verna. She walked back to their camp and laid out the blankets, settled down on top of them, and went to sleep. Fangoth followed her and lay near the fire and he was well aware of his surroundings.

Re: Ceylonur
Ohanzee reluctantly settled onto the floor, keeping his bow right next to him... just in case. Noticing the meat remaining on the spit, he took it and examined it. They had left it unattended, and flies had begun to gather. He would have eaten it if he was desperate, but knew everyone was full for now, and they could easily catch something else to eat. He tossed it casually into the undergrowth to let it decompose, before sitting down, seeing the dawn begin to break through the trees.

He covered his snout with his paws, and then he whimpered. He hated going up against undead, for they seem... Stinky... He also never fought undead before, except for the foul hag. OOC: There... Re: Ceylonur
OOC: YAY!!! lol tyvm. IC: Eriel noticed Fangoth's unsual behaviour and started scanning their surroundings. Emrhyst started to shift with unease. "This doesn't feel right... there's something hostile, and powerful in these forests" Emrhyst said, projecting her thoughts so that all could hear. "Uh-oh....it seems like..." Fangoth finished the sentence "Undead..." An arrow whized past her head and landed itself in a nearby tree. Without warning, the tree started to disintegrate and started to fall in their direction. "Ohanzee!"

Re: Ceylonur
Ohanzee reared in surprised and sprinted away from the falling tree, feeling the branches brush his tail before the inevitable creak and crash from impact with the ground. A cloud of dust erupted from the floor, parts of it debris from the disintegrated tree, and hung in the dry air. In an instant, dozens of figures lurched from the undergrowth, lolloping from behind trees, staggering with speedy ferocity towards them. "Undead!" Ohanzee cried, noticing that they took many shapes, some of humans, many of forest creatures passed away long ago, some of beasts he had never even heard of nor seen before. "Penetration won't harm them." he told everybody, jumping onto his front legs. You have to break their bodies!" he continued, and aimed a skull cracking kick at a human form approaching him.

Re: Ceylonur
"Penatration won't harm them? This will be fun.." She drew her sword and lifted it into the air, the blade catching the moonlight, causing the undead to freeze in their tracks. "Jierda!" The first five undead fell to the ground, each incapitated with broken legs or wings. Emrhyst fought ferociously beside them. The battle was to her advantage, she could use her tail and her paws as maces. She did everything she could, tail, tail, paw, tail. All the way. Out of the corner of her eye, she spied an undead aiming an arrow at fangoth. She leaped into the air and landed between the undead and him, she winced as the arrow melted afew of her scales. Eriel felt the pain and quickly told them, "Take care of the archers first. Their more dangerous than the rest." She penetrated an undead's mind and tried to kill him with the forth word of death. Nothing happened. "Right... their already dead." she paused for awhile to decide what to do. And then, she let out a scream as the undead magicians battered at her defences, forcing her to retreat deep into her mind. She started reciting a verse that Oromis had thought Eragon to use, in a far away land, along time ago. "Under a cold and empty winter sky, stood a wee, small man with a silver sword. He jumped and stabbed in a fevered frenzy, fighting the shadows massed before him." The siege on her mind started to abate, "We should retreat, they outnumber us ten to one and they have magicians within their ranks.

Re: Ceylonur
"You shall not fear! Me and Fangoth know a few weaknesses of undead!" said Verna, for she was up and hacking off undead head and kicking butts. Fangoth rolled his eyes. So, can you tell me a few spells that you have prepared before hand? Verna, remember the faults of our magic. reminded Fangoth. "Oh, shut up. I know one spell that I've prepared! I will not surrender!" Then Verna lit up with a small twinkle and casted a spell at an undead. All it really did was make it burn a bit, and it agitated the undead. Umm... Verna, are you sure that was the spell? asked Fangoth. Yup. Great..... Then Verna turned to Eriel. "Umm... Are you sure that they're powerful magicians? Like are they liches among this hoard of undead?"

Re: Ceylonur
OOC: Someone heal me IC:"There was at least one, at the most three, mages probing me. They've got to be strong. They nearly overwhelmed me." She paused to decapitate another undead. "Agh!" Eriel looked at the blade protruding from her chest. Her dragon roared as the pain travelled across their mental link. Instantly they melded their minds. Eriel's eyes turned dark green, then it turned blackish. " Little one, cool down!" Suddenly, her eyes turned black. A powerful aura emnamated{sp} from her. She paid no attention to her dragon or the wound and roared out two words, and two words only, "Andlat! Fricai!" Instantly most of the undead collapsed, unanimated, dead, again. Her eyes turned light green as she thought of what she had done, she lay down on the grass unconsious, her sword at her side, her robe stained with the blood from her wound. Emrhyst curled around her, and left it to the rest to finish off the remaining undead.

Re: Ceylonur
OOC: Okay, I'll go.
IC: Verna rushed up towards Eriel. She quickly applyed the paste over her wound and wrapped it up. Then she left to help Fangoth kill the rest of the undead. It went by quickly, for the undead weren't as strong as the magicains. I hope the elf is okay. She could of killed herself doing that. commented Fangoth he looked up at Eriel's dragon.

Re: Ceylonur
She'll be fine... She's endured more than this. She looked at her rider and nudged her ever so sweetly, with her mind, she told her, "You did good little one." Turning her attention to the rest she asked, What say we rebuild the camp? Eriel slowly got up. She clutched her chest and told herself, "I must never do that again..." Then she slumped back onto the grass, waiting for the other's reply to Emrhyst's question.

Re: Ceylonur
Ohanzee shrugged, having finished steadily pounding an undead's face into the ground with his hoof. "Not much point now." he replied, pointing above the trees. "Dawn arrived a while ago. It would be simpler to just move on." he suggested.

Re: Ceylonur
"Okay then, let's head off." Eriel sheathed her sword and climbed onto her dragon's back. Her cloak flying freely in the strong south westerly wind. She looked at Verna and Fankor, "Emrhyst can carry one of you, preferably Fankor." Emrhyst smiled a toothy grin at Fankor. "And Verna can ride Ohanzee. I don't know if everyone's agreeable but i think we had better get off soon, undead are known to attack the same place more than once. She clutched her wound again."

Re: Ceylonur
OOC: Who's Fankor? I guess Fankor is Fangoth... IC: "Well, I guess I missed another night's sleep." Verna sighed. Fangoth looked at the rising sun, and with Verna went and followed. Err... Verna and I are capable of walking. At times, Verna will ride on my back. But, we are leaving the wagon behind. Verna packed all of our (Verna and I's) belongings into the bag. So, off to Feayahe! Lets hope that we don't encounter anymore undead, or meet anyone unfriendly! said Fangoth.

Re: Ceylonur
Ohanzee snorted a brief laugh in clear dismissal of the comment. They were only a couple of miles into the forest, and they'd already encountered a horde of undead. Snatching up his bow, he headed off into the trees, trying to recall the directions to his information source...
OOC- sorry for the short post

Re: Ceylonur
OOC: Opps! wrong charry LOL
IC: "Well then, lets follow him." She headed off into the forest at a slow yet reasonable pace, allowing Verna and Fangoth to keep up and yet keeping sight of Ohanzee. "Emrhyst, go on ahead, i want to talk with verna." Emrhyst knelt and allowed Eriel with slide off her back, then continued walking. Eriel waited for the two behind to come and then said, "Err... Thanks for helping me just now."

"Oh, it was no big deal. I usually carry around pastes, but I ran out when I came here, to Ceylonur." Verna sighed and looked at the sun. The sun was slowly rising toward the middle of the sky.

Re: Ceylonur
Ohanzee continued to walk at a steady pace, weaving between trees like water slipping down a stream. Nervousness clenched his stomach into a tight ball, making him feel sick, and break out in a sweat, despite the cool of the early morning.
Mentally he retraced paths, treading again through the undergrowth, searching for familiar landmarks, a river, a hill, anything which he could remember along the trail. He knew where he was heading, he had walked there many times before. The only difference was, that was at least half a century ago, and the air had smelled much sweeter then.
With every pace, he searched for something to take his mind off the anxiety. A branch good for arrow shafts... flint to start a fire... water to fill the skins, anything to distract him from this crippling worry which he was desperately trying to conceal.
He wasn't worried about monsters either.

OOC: What say we find the portal and head into whereever we're going and find it beseiged?
IC:Eriel ran up to the centaur and put a hand on his flank, "Are you worried Ohanzee?" She looked around the forests, it was quiet, too quiet, even if it was an enchanted wood. Nonetheless, she still followed Ohanzee.

Re: Ceylonur
IC: Fangoth smelled the air. I don't have a good feeling about this forest... Too quiet... Ohanzee, did you hear anything about this wood lately? Maybe it's cursed, or something of the sorts.. Fangoth looked at Verna. "Well, lets hope that the portal is still active, if its not, we'll have to go through the wood," said Verna.
OOC: Hmmm.... Okay.....
