Post Dragon Rider.
The book is by Cornelia Funke. My sister gave it to me for my birthday. She also work Inkheart, Inkspell, and one other one that I can't think of.

I am half way through the book. I like it alot.

No kidding! So is Inkheart, and I can't wait for Inkdeath! Cornelia Funke said there would be a happy ending, so I'm not worried about Meg or her parents.

Inkdeath is the third book in the trilogy. It hasn't come out yet, though. Cornelia Funke said it would be called Inkdeath, though.

Yeah, I didn't either, until I found it in KidsPost, which I happened to see on my way to the comics. In case you guys don't know, in the Washington Post, comics are in the Style section, and behind them is KidsPost, a little newspaper thing for little kids. It had an interview with Cornelia Funke so I decided to read it. It turns out it's a trilogy...I never knew that!

I really loved Dragon Rider, but I'll admit it's a book for younger people. Inkheart and Thief Lord are amazing too, though i haven't gotten my hands on Inkspell yet...

It's not quite as good as Inkheart, in my opinion. It's old enough now to be in public libraries, you can check for it there.

PrincessArya put it well. That's what I think, too. I like them because they're about books. They have a good amount of violence, mostly in the second one, I think (it's been a while since I read them). I dunno. I guess it's just what kind of books you like. You could get Inkheart from the library, and you could read Inkspell if you like it. Fyi, it's by Cornelia Funke.

I was looking at Dragon Riders of Pern, but didn't get it. Have any of you read Dragon Champion, I read like the first page and it was pretty good. I might buy it.

Post Re: Dragon Rider.
I read Dragon Rider several years ago. I felt that the first half of the book was slow paced, but after I finished it, it became one of my favorite books. However, Inkheart was practically horrible. Sure, it was a good idea and all, but it was just too slow-paced. I still read it and then I started reading Inkspell, but found it just too boring. So I stopped reading it. I think I would have liked Inkheart and Inkspell if they were more fast-paced and dramactic. No offense to any of the fans. It's just my opinion.
