who do you think will win the final battle(if there is one)???? do you think the outcome will be the reason that Eragon must leave?

Okay we all know that Eragon will win. Will it cost him his life.....no because of the fortuen that he got. His romance with the noble woman *coughs Arya coughs* will out last empires. So the good guys will win and Eragon and Arya will live happly ever after, the end.

Back to the fortune-telling Angela gave him, he will live because in his fortune she told him that he would live a very long life, according to that knuckle bone with that tree or whatever on it. It's 2:30 in the morning where I'm at, so don't even ask me to look it up. (Can't sleep, don't ask.)

mayby it takes years to defeat the empire and those years are his long life.

But these books are about how Eragon and Saphira dethrone Galby (in my opinoun) So I don't think that it would take that long for Eragone to win.

i agree with everyone who has posted and hope Eragon has a happy ending and defeats gaby .(so i hope i did not scare any one with my last negative post) i was just wondering if anyone had any different ideas about the out come.

Some of us might, but I sincerely doubt it because the evidence points to a long and happy life for Eragon and Saphira.

I think we all hope there will be a happy ending but thats just so predictable i think CP is far too talented to do that. he will probably add some sort of a twist. Any thoughts about what it might be?

please, Saphira has to live a long life. she has to mate. they will survive, but I don't think Galby is going to be permanently defeated. he will probably flee into the East, then return periodically to wreak havoc on the new Rider's Order. and yes, Saphira will kill Shruikan

Actually, I did read an article a couple of months ago (can't remember where I found it) where CP said, "What do you do with a psychopath villian that the hero doesn't want to kill?". Let's chew over that for awhile.

We're talking about Galbatorix, so I highly doubt that. They could stick him in that tower at the head of Palancar Valley. The one Brom told Eragon is called "Ristvak'baen". The "Place of Sorrow". It would work if they don't kill Galby, but they do kill Shruikan. That way he couldn't escape on dragonback.

I dont think that Shruikan is really evil.so maybe they unbind him from gaby.

Even if they do that, he'll suicide anyway. Remember, Galby ain't his original Rider, Galby killed that Rider to get Shruikan. So the only thing keeping Shruikan from suiciding is the dark magic that Galby bound them together with. And knowing our favorite crazed madman, he probably made it as close as possible to the real thing. Which means that if Galby dies, Shruikan WILL suicide.

oooohh thats sad Shruikan dose not deserve that.

Yeah, no kidding. Think about it this way, at least he wouldn't have to consent to having the foulest creature that ever called itself a king ride him anymore.
