The elf-smith yes made oath not to make another weapon but she didn't say anything about to MeNd one!! (if that possible). so if eragon find a legendary sword wich is left by any Eragon Elf or Vrael or Brom and if the sword are damaged she surely can fixed it -- that's elf, always play trick over ancient language

The blade won't be blue, unless he can get someone who can make a sword like the one he had. The one elf who made all the Riders swords took an oath that she would never make weapons for the Riders again.
