Faefnir didn't answer, but still continued prepping for departure.

Aeraldi dug his claws into the mountain's edge and leaned back to try to get a look at the top. Taking out one claw he raised it and dug it back into the mountain. Aeraldi had been climbing this mountain for a good month, seeing if he could possibly reach the top. He was a little distracted by the happenings of the world, he watched for endless hours wondering how long it would take for the other dragons to stop fighting. Although he watched the progress of a certain black dragon as she taught the hatchlings about the art of combat. Will she ever teach about helping the others? Aeraldi thought to himself. Aeraldi continued climbing trying to figure out how else to control himself.

OOC: I think I'll use Gryfendel, i'll prolly introduce Eriel later on in the story.

IC: Gryfendel looked down and saw a young dragon hatchling, though his eyes showed great wisdom and the knowledge collected through countless ages, climbing up the mountain. He laughed and joined him below, Welcome to my home, I would really like to know what you are doing ruining my... Gardens. He laughed gently and turned towards him, his eyes sparkling with child-like humour and happiness. If you're looking for shelter then stay as long as you want, no dwarf will ever disturb us here, the air up in the peaks are much too thin for them, and just a little thinner than what we're used to, thanks to afew wards I placed on it over the years. He smiled gently.

Faefnir remembered the name well. This was the dragon Star and her parents were fighting over when he first saw her. He decided to stay behind her and let things play out.

OOC: pass turn.

Aeraldi stopped in his tracks as the other dragon talked to him. He looked at where his claws were on the mountain, he wasn't crushing anything except rock. He looked back at the other dragon and said back;
I didn't know that the rocks meant that to you, I apologize. As for shelter I have my own little place. Though it is not nearly as high. I was just climbing to help myself think.
Aeraldi paused for a moment before saying;
But I think I might take you up on resting for a moment. Just be warned though, I change often. As I change I'm more aggressive and love fighting. Don't be insulted.
Aeraldi curled his lips and smiled at the other dragon.
But for now, how about a race to the top?

OOC: it's Eriel's turn.

Gryfendel grinned happily.Bring it on slowpoke! With that, he dug his claws into the mountain and climbed up with considerable speed, yet at a pace which he thought the younger dragon could keep up.

OOC: i'm before Eriel... You might want to change that before we get completely screwed over.

ooc: since you said 'dragon' does that mean i cant join since i dont have one?

OOC: well, he is an elf right? I suppose Talias could come if he were an elf.

Talias was still devestatded by his father's death. it was few decades ago now but he missed his father so much he couldn't stand it. Galbatorix that filthy traitor. he was walking along side the beor montains to the Varden after another lost battle against the forswone. Sudenly a rock from the landded on his head. "Ow!" Talias looked up and saw something amazing. Dragons! Lots of them! Talias hasn't seen a dragon that actully had a soul, that being not one of the forswone's, since his father's died. He had to see this up close so he ran up to the montain and began to climb.

OOC: there is no Galby yet, rpm

ooc: yeah ther was want me to say that his father just died? instead of a few decades ago?

OOC: nuh uh. This RP takes place 200 years ago. Galbatorix rose to power 100 years before the events in Eragon, and before that he was wandering the wilderness, hunting Urgals. so no, you can't say that Galby killed your father because that's impossible.

ooc: does it really matter? i mean we not writing any thing of significint importance are we?

Faefnir decided not to answer the question. Grothar. I remember you. You're the one her parents are imposing on her, trying to make you king. A little word of advice: don't. Continue this and your death will certainly come swiftly. Your fall will be her rise.

Bah, you climb like one of those creatures that stand on two legs. Said Aeraldi said as he scaled the mountain quicker than what should have been possible for one his size. Over taking the larger dragon easily he climbed the mountain, enjoying the challenge for as long as he could. He had no doubts that he would lose the race but he didn't care, he was happy for the first time in a long time.

Talias continued to climb the seemingly never ending montain. it was tought but the motivation of seeing other dragons kept him going.

You let me win. Although it was fun, I would have preferred a fair race.
Aeraldi sat at the peak, breathing heavily. For some reason his breath didn't come back to him. He could have hit himself for forgetting so quickly, the air was thinner here. He looked down at the rest of the world, how it seemed to curve off into the distance.
It's so... Peaceful up here. Although it is hard to breathe. Aeraldi gave a small laugh before saying;
I'm sorry I don't even know your name. You have been so kind to me, I had almost forgotten what it was like.

Gryfendel smiled at the younger dragon. Almost forgotten what it was like eh? I miss my old elf buddy... I saw them come in their ships many many ages ago. I'm quite sure you were born then, Your eyes, they hold wisdom, so much more than mine. He said quietly. Anyway, my name's Gryfendel, and step inside my cave, the air is thicker there. He smiled then waited for Aeraldi to move.

Thank you for being so kind. I wish there was something I could give you in return. Aeraldi started walking towards the cave indicated by Gryfendel.

OOC: That's good to know you didn't abandon us. Welcome back, Star

Faefnir was speechless for a few seconds, then decided that she could be trusted. I came here to see you, Star gazer. I remember you when you were just a little hatchling. You're absolutely spectacular. And look at you now. Strong and beautiful. A perfect example of a good dragon. Faefnir suddenly realized those were the wrong words to choose from. Forgive me. I'm not hitting on you in the least. I just think you are an amazing dragon and you fascinated me when I first saw you as a hatchling. He allowed some time for her to get a good look at him. Do you recognize me?

Talias reached the top of the montain where the dragons were. he wasn't sure if they would be agressive or not so he raised his head up just enough to see. He knew that it would only be a matter of time before he was discovered.

Aeraldi looked at the deer hanging on the walls and averted his gaze. It almost made him sick to think of all that wasted life. He had no objections to eating flesh and in fact ate it himself. But the wastage of life was sickening to him.
How can you waste life like this? These deer could have thrived and given birth to more, yet you just waste their life and hang them here! Aeraldi felt his control slipping. His body started shuddering and his claws started elongating. His body then went into a full spasm his limbs flailing about, knocking snow His scales turned black, his spikes lengthening as well as becoming sharper. Aeraldi stopped shuddering and looked up and the other dragon with evil in his eyes.
Well, well, well. Who do we have here? Is it someone that will actually fight or just be slaughtered?

OOC: Your turn I-L-S

OOC: No, it's Star's turn. I go after her. Your turn, Star!

ooc: cant really do anything while just spying just hiding so untill someone akknowlees my presece theres nothing i can do.

and star, booty in gear?

OOC: It would help if you said which two dragons you were looking at. Cause we're not together yet.
Finally a challenge worth fighting! Aeraldi said, his blood pumping through his veins more intensely as his body anticipated the fight. He couldn't help himself after that. Aeraldi charged Gryfendel with his claws coming from many angles at once.

OOC: I meant rpm

Faefnir rumbled in his chest, then raised her head. Don't fear, young one. You shall be away from this place quickly enough. You have a destiny far greater than any dragon here.

OOC: efficient pass turn.

Gryfendel growled and leaped at Aeraldi, pinning him to the ground. Immediately his eyes turned red and he arched his neck, ready to blow a stream of fire at his face.

OOC: Can't say much since I'm fighting Aeraldi.

Aeraldi just laughed at the pitiful attempt and rolled Gryfendel over, digging his claws into his side. Then finally raching the floor with his talons threw Gryfendel into the wall. He jumped out into the air, getting ready when he noticed a human figure on the side of the clliff. What do we have here? Aeraldi thought to himself. Before he could think further though, Gryfendel burst out of the cave and tackled Aeraldi, sending them both downwards.

OOC: Sorry for the GM but I thought it would be alright.

Talias was amazed by the dragons. In his lifetime, he had only seen a few, none of them being wild.


ooc: pass turn, come on guys, talias' fingures are starting to hurt, NOTICE HIM!

OOC: someone has noticed you, rpm: Aeraldi. He noticed you clinging to the side of the cliff before Gryfendel tackled him.

OOC: Actually, you haven't gone for a while now. Faefnir must respond to everything you do, so it's actually your turn.

OOC: So what's the order now?

OOC: Well, he's gone... so ILS pls post.

OOC: I thought I went after you. You said up there that I go after you, and you haven't posted yet. I'll pull Talias out after you post, Star.

Faefnir swiftly followed her up and over the Mountain and found two dragons fighting. STOP! he bellowed after Star said her piece.

Talias looked at the two dragons that were fighting each other, then noticed that two more dragons had arrived on the mountain side. Thinking he had now overstayed his welcome, he left silently and didn't return.

OOC: Probably not in Talias' character, but it's unlikely rpm will be back for a long while anyways.

OOC: The two are Aeraldi and Gryfendel dear ILS... I'll wait for you to edit it

OOC: I'm waiting for ILS to edit his post.

OOC: There. I edited it. Now don't disturb me anymore. I'm on vacation.

OOC: *Tugs collar* Uhhh.. Sorry.

Aeraldi took a quick look at the large dragon and the smaller black one. Fortress?! Hah! I remember a time when there wasn't any buildings here. As for you, Aeraldi looked at Gryfendel I cannot wait for you to actually try. For all my years I have not been beaten once. Aeraldi opened his claws and swiped as hard as he could, enjoying the pain that he was causing as well as the pain that he was enduring. Make me feel ALIVE! He shouted into the other dragon's mind, his strength increasing ten-fold. He drove his claw into Gryfendel's side, puncturing the skin and tearing the flesh.
You're going too far! You might actually kill him!
Enough of you! This is my fight and for the first time in centuries I'm enjoying myself! Aeraldi didn't need a distraction at this time.
If this continues one of us is going to die, and although I know your strength is great it is not enough to beat a dragon like this. If we were together... Aeraldi didn't get to finish his sentence as Gryfendel's jaws sunk into his foreleg and sent pain through both of them.

OOC: Must... reply....Meh, Sry guys but i really have to reply to this.

IC: Gryfendel felt a smile tug at his lips. It had been awhile since he had met someone so old.
He snarled and gently pried Faefnir's talons off him. Where were you the last millennium? In the desert perhaps? Why? The fortress belongs to you, and yet you leave it to her parents? He shouted, pointing a talon at Star Gazer. I have lived up there. He snarled, looking up, Ever since me and my friends founded the dragon fortress. We have passed through so much just to get here, how many died, and how many were lost to the great chasm within the mountain, I don't know. He glared at Faefnir, his attention completely directed at the golden dragon. I don't remember seeing you anywhere, son of the Great Dragon. He let out a snarl although, in his mind, a smile was forming.
I do not deny that what I said was wrong, and I got carried away by my guest, with whom I still have business to settle... He turned back to Aeraldi, his tail cracked like a whip.

Aeraldi roared in hatred. You interrputed us! I was on the verge of knowing what it was really like to be alive and you stopped me! Aeraldi gathered his powers into his claws and forced them into the barrier. You shall die!
Enough! Aeraldi screamed in the back of his mind. You're going to get us killed.
Aeraldi growled and said back I said to leave me alone! This is my fight and I plan to make sure he knows that I am strongest.
He finished off with a mental kick to force Aeraldi back to his corner.
You've gone too far now! Aeraldi forced his own will upon the body, forcing it to his own ends.
Oh no you don't! Aeraldi screamed, fighting for control. Aeraldi's body changed between white and black, his body going limp as the two forces of his mind fought each other. His scales ran with both colors.

OOC: Was that directed at me or someone else? Because, this was a long ways before Faefnir entered his trance.

OOC: But the time setting is 200 yrs ago... and your bio states that Faefnir went into hibernation a long time b4 Galby rose to power... but... that would mean that...eh.. i'm confused...
