Witches, vampires, and gryphons, OH MY!

OOC: Lol, this RPG is Open to all, but I would prefer if you joined, that your character be one of the three mentioned creatures above, a witch, a vampire, or a gryphon, or even a mixture of both. IC: U'lfr winged his way through the night. The air was cold and still. The forest beneath him was ... dead, lifeless, with no hint of green, or even the colors of fall. It was as if the world around him had died. Still, thre vampiric gryphon flew. He had no time for things, such as the scenery. He had felt the call. It was pulling him, it was a call known to all vampires, or vcreatures who were part vampire and he was sure that he would meet some old friends when eh reached his destination. So, he flew. He used his heat-sensing eyes to watch the ground below him. The ground, as well as anything down there was deathly cold. He smiled, this is a place meant for his kind, these were the lands of the dead. He snapped his head up, as he saw a large bat-like creature fly past him. He thought to himself, They too felt the call. Hmm, very, very interesting. thought the vampire/gryphon as he nered the meeting grounds, a large flat field, with absolutely no grass, or anything growing on it. He landed among the other vampires there and roared to make his presence known. He walked toward the large female vampire in the center and said, You called? Circe flew through the air. Her wings easily propelled her through the air with great speed. She was coming toward the call also. She kne wneither why, nor how she had heard it, but she answered the call all the same. Circe landed not long after a large gryphon did the same. She morphed and walked up to the vampire in the center and said, "I am Circe, I am not a vampire, but I think you may find me at least somewhat useful." said the witch as she awaited further orders. The vampire in the center was known to all vampires, she was the "queen mother", and was rumored to have been the first vampire, born naturally with no heart-beat, and a taste for blood, but neither of these things mattered, she was, at least in thie area the leader, she gave orders and they were carried out, always. She looked the witch up and down and said, "Fine, but take your place in the back." Then she looked at the assembled creatures and said, "I have called you all for a specific reason. It has come to my attention that the gryphons have become somewhat troublesome to our race, especially in the Northern reigons, I want them eradicated, destroyed, leave none, kill them all." said the vampire as she morphed into a monsterous bat-like creature and flew away. U'lfr stood there, openmouthed at what the woman had said. He could not, would not follow these orders. He could not betray his family! What could he do? He began to look about for someone, anyone who he could talk to, who would share his views. _________________ Role-Playing Characters: Ara The dragon of illusion. U'lfr The hybrid of darkness. Alucard stood patiently as the other vampires came to the call. All the vampires were sperated, they all stood with the coven they belonged to. Though there were the few that stood alone, either loners or ones that had no coven. The Helsing coven was smaller than most, due to the fact that they lost a majority of their members with their battle against the gryphons. When a gryphon landed, everyone turned quiet. "Who do you think turned him into a vampire?" Asked Jeremiah, a member of Alucard's coven. "I did," Alucard answered. Jeremiah looked at him surprised. "I didn't mean to. I meant to kill him, but someone intervened," he explained. Alucard looked over when a elf/human, in the form of a Roc, landed behind U'lfr. Alucard scoffed when the queen said the woman could stay. But he dare not defy her rule. He turned towards the queen when she started to announce the reason for their meeting. Eradicate the northern gryphons. As everyone started to fly away, Alucard stayed chuckling. He turned his head towards U'lfr, his eyes glowing ominously and his smile showed his fangs. U'lfr looked at the vampire and cursed at him, saying, You are a coward. I have grown since you and I last met, from now on, we are no longer friends, and neither are we allies. This is over. said the gryphon/vampire as he leapt into the air. He flew higher and faster than any of the other vampires, leaving them far behind. It took him two days, but he reached the mountains in half the time the vampires took. He landed in the Sun. It burned him, badly, but he could bear it, he had grown. Later that day, he came into a large cave. It was huge. He screeched loudly and said, If any of you are a gryphon, I say, either flee, or stand and fight alongside me. I will stay here, but if you have young ones, I will say this to you, flee to the lands, wherever they may be which have light always, for if you stay here, you will fall to the vampires who are following as I speak. screeched the gryphon/vampire to the mountains, hoping that any gryphons in the area would hear. OOC: Very well, I'll bring in Athena. It's high time I started practicing anyway with her in an rp IC: Athena was flying high above the land, enjoying the wind against her fur and feathers as she made her journey over the land of Alagaesia. It was peaceful, yet unnerving...Athena sensed something was very wrong, something that made the air still. It has been a long time since she had been affiliated with anything troublesome. Even the earth itself held no comfort as she gazed upon the trees. I don't understand...what could possibly be going on? she wondered. For Athena, she wasn't one to worry as much, but lately things had started to make her grow paranoid. She had been having strange dreams that seem to give her no answers in real life, mere riddles that toyed with her mind every chance she could close her eyes. Finally, Athena spotted something far below, but she wasn't trusting of her own sight at the moment. It couldn't possibly be a gryphon...could it? The warning the gryphon screeched out was very foreboding indeed. This talk of vampires? Whatever did he mean? Athena's curiousity could not be contained and she wasn't going to just fly away at the statement of vampires. Because I'm going to follow orders? Your a vampire now, like it or not. What makes you think they'll listen to you? They'll probably think it's some trap," Alucard said seriously to U'lfr. When he flew off, he lowered his head. Your a fool, your sending yourself to your death, he thought solemnly. Alucard changed and flew away from the empty field. He flapped his wings hard and he quickly caught up to the rest. He glided up next to the queen and told her of U'lfr's betrayal. He looked over to see the hybrid witch flying close by. With an adjustment of his wings, Alucard drifted next to her. "Interesting ability you have, Circe. But can you tell me why you wish to help us?" Alucard asked. Cratos had been residing in the north with the small colony of gryphons. He was very glad he had found more ever since he met Apollo and Artemis. He was standing on one of the small mountain tops, watching. He smiled as another gryphon flew over head. Something wasn't right when the other one came, he looked familiar yet different. He flew down to see what the other one was saying. U'lfr?! Cratos said surprised as he got closer. Theres something different about you... Cratos said quietly. _________________ "Listen to them. U'lfr looked at the gryphon and said, Yes, yes there is. Cratos, I was bitten by a vampire, and now am a vampire and gryphon hybrid, but that is beside the point, I was called to a meeting by the vampire queen, they are coming up here, all of you have to either run or make your stand with me. But, heed my warning, all of you, leave these lands, and go somewhere where the Sun never sets, otherwise you will all be killed, for it was decreed by the queen mother herself... said the vampire/gryphon sadly as he said the last pard. He took a step away from Cratos, not knowing how the gryphon would react to the news. He looked up to see yet another gryphon flying overhead. He said, What will you do? Circe looked at the vampire beside her and said, Because gryphons have power, power which stands in my way, when they are gone, I will be all that much closer to the ultimate power which is rightfully mine. said the Roc as she screeched and flew higher than the rest, so her eyes could be of more use. _________________ Role-Playing Characters: Ara The dragon of illusion. Athena met the eyes of the gryphon that asked her what she would do in this circumstance. She was appalled; why should any gryphon be told where to go? What will I do? she repeated the question to herself. This time, Athena flew down so that this time could see the gryphon quite clearly. There was something odd about him, in more ways besides his authoritive tone of telling other gryphons to leave. She knew she was smaller than any normal gryphon, and didn't want to take the chance of getting caught in a fight with him. "What power do gryphons hold exactly? They're just a strange mixture of two animals. They're not as threatening as dragons, who can breathe fire and sometimes ice, and use magic. The only thing gryphons are good for is a nice meal," Alucard said to Circe, "Whould you care to explain what exactly this ultimate power is? And how it's yours?" After a couple more mintues of flying, they reached the coast of Alagaesia.That was when everyone flew higher above the clouds, so f any humans or elves or whatever looked to the sky, it would appear as if a flock or birds or a colony of bats was flying overhead. Alucard gazed up at the sun for a second, a large smile crossed his face. This had to have been planned,it couldn't be coincidence, it was to perfect. Today was the day, the sun turned dark. How the hell is that beside the point?! Cratos roared. You can't just flat out an say "I'm a vampire now" and then brush it off like it was nothing! How did it happen? When did it happen!? Don't you think, you should a bit more detailed! He yelled at U'lfr. It was rare for Cratos to ever get really angry, but when he did, he loses it. He was angry at U'lfr for just blankly telling him and being so indifferent about it. But he was also upset that a gryphon he knew and liked, was now a disgusting blood sucker. _________________ "Listen to them. U'lfr smiled at the small female gryphon and said, What is there to answer, the vampires are coming this way, and will soon be here, whether you like it or not, they will hunt you, they are too powerful for any one gryphon, oe likely even a goup of gryphons to stand against. There are no answers here, only those who wait for the inevitable. The vampires WILL come, and they will kill any gryphon they see. That is all there it. I came to warn you, because ... I have a sister. She is living somewhere up here and I would not be able to bear it is she were killed by them. Also, I had hoped that word would reach my friends, Apollo, Artemis, and you, Cratos. said the vampiric gryphon to his friend. He looked at Cratos and said, Well, that is just how it is, have you not seen my eyes, how I act, and besides, a vampire does nothing more to a deer than you do, we just leave more leftovers for the other creatures. I also, try to eat only deer. It was a vampire called Alucard, and it happened a few weeks after I last saw you. I have control of myself, but you, all of you need to leave, now. said the gryphon. It is not "they" themselves, but it is the power of their entire race. They, like dragons are permeated with magic, my magic is somewhat weaker, in some ways, once they are eliminated, my powers will have less of a weakness, making my power all that much greater. Vampires? Athena looked at the gryphon quizzically. I won’t allow them to hunt me, they’ll be dead before they can get ten feet close to me, she stated boldly, but knew her words were only bravado. But she wanted to sound calm and determined, even if this enemy was a formidable force. You have a sister? I did not know…and you speak of Apollo and Artemis…my brother and sister, she whispered. I’ll have to find them and warn them…maybe they know where Ares is… Athena was thinking about the possibilities of whether she really should stay or go, but if her siblings had no knowledge of this, then how would they be able to help fight with their friends? But there must be something I can do… she murmured, not wanting to abandon this gryphon and Roc…She turned to Cratos. Have you spoken with any of my siblings or seen them recent? Cratos dug his talons into the dirt. He couldn't deny the fact that what he said was true. But, it still seemed so wrong. No! I will not run with my tail between my legs! What would be the point of running away? They would just follow us, Cratos told U'lfr authoritatively. He turned to Athena an answered, I did speak with Apollo awhile back, but you know how Artemis is, always hiding from contact. Just as Cratos finished speaking, it suddenly got dark. He looked to the sky, to see the sun slowly being covered, turning the whole sky black. The sound of wing beats in the distance started to get loader and loader. They're only advantage against the vampires was now gone! The entire land covered in darkness. ooc: Pass with Al _________________ "Listen to them. He stared into the darkness, whihc seemed like the normal day to his heightened night senses. He watched the vampires come. He said, I hope your talking is true, gryphons, for we will not be able to out-fly them in the night, no matter how much we want, come, we will hide in the mountains, umm, female, what was your name? I know it seems rude, but not is not really the time for politeness, you seem to know where we are, can you take us to any other gryphons, I really don't care who, any would be fine. said U'lfr as he leapt into the air and began to fly toward the heart of the mountains. Circe screeched as her keen eyesight picked up the minute figures of the gryphons in the distance. Gender: Guy Affiliation: Dragonriders	Re: Witches, vampires, and gryphons, OH MY! OOC: I hope you don't mind me bringing in Elika IC: Elika had heard a call, but ignored it. She was a set of mountains, she wasn't sure which ones. She was in her dragon form so she could see the entire landscape. She spotted a few really young giffins goofing off, but as she was watching, they suddenly stopped and ran back in the cave. Seconds later they flew out with two more griffins, she figured mother and father to the children. She didn't know what was going on, then the Eclipse that had been preparing started, but it was slow, slower than it should've been, to the point when she'd almost swear it had stopped at the peak, casting the earth in blackness. She looked around, suspicious, then she spotted a few griffins she new and set off toward them. She dropped down till she was level with U'lfr. Hi U'lfr, this is Elika, we met up at Artemis's when you met them the first time? Hey Cratos. Did I ever tell you I can turn into a dragon, sort of? Anyway what's up you guys look panicked. The flapping noise was getting irritating, so she looked up. Athena nodded to both Cratos and U'lfr as she introduced herself. My name is Athena, my siblings are Apollo, Artemis, and Ares. I remember Apollo living somewhere near the Beor Mountains and Artemis likes to live by any source of water. She laughed at Cratos's statement. Oh yes, she's the type to avoid anyone, I rememeber it as we were growing up. Something glinted in Cratos's eye that made Athena smirk. I see the look you get when you speak of my sister. It seems you want to find her more than any of us, she teased. Athena looked up as the eclipse began. She knew that soon a battle would rise but she didn't want to start it until she found her siblings. I think I know where I can find them. I'll go search for them and quickly! It smelled so good, and there were so many of them! Alucard couldn't stop himself, he dove straight down towards a lone gryphon. He pinned it down on it's side, his foot holding the torso down and his hand clamped on the face. He clamped his teeth into the gryphon's mouth and imbibed the blood. Once the creature was empty, Alucard kicked in off the cliff they were on. He looked north, were the vampires were headed, and saw U'lfr alongside gryphons and oddly enough a dragon. But it wasn't really a dragon, an elf, human... thing. It's scent and heat signature, was nothing he'd ever encountered before. Cratos was embarrassed when Athena noticed his concern for Artemis. But he shrugged it off and smiled back at her. The feathers and fur on his back raised as the vampires drew closer. he growled as they're shape become more apparent, ugly demon bats. He looked over at Athena, but she was no longer by his side! He looked up and saw her heading off to find her siblings, he jumped into the air after her. Athena wait! Please don't bring them here, I don't want either of them to get hurt or killed! Cratos said, almost begging for her not to bring her siblings to this brawl. A couple vampires were simple, but an entire army in the dark? There changes of survival, were slim. _________________ "Listen to them. He also saw Athena, as well as Cratos flyign away. He stomped his foot down, knowing that running was pointless and screeched angrily, he then leapt into the air and with a powerful attack wiht his mighty beak and powerful claws, cut the head off of one of the faster vampires. He screeched his battlecry, and withdrew to the mountains. He saw the signs of gryphons, but their signs showed them leaving to go further North, he smiled when he saw the white feathers, he observed them closely, the growled delightedly when he saw that they were his sister's. He smiled and followed them North. He looked back toward Cratos and Athena and hoped they would avoid the notice of the evil creatuers who so badly wished to destroy them. Circe screeched happily when she saw Alucard kill a gryphon. She too wished to feel the creatures die beneath her powerful beak and talons, but she had patience, she could wait. She saw two gryphons fly in a different direction and began to fly after them, the other vampires did not notice them, but followed after the gryphon who had just killed one of their own, Lusa, one of the younger and more headstrong vampires, her death would be a bad blow to them, mainly because her speed... _________________ Role-Playing Characters: Ara The dragon of illusion. You may be right about my other two siblings, but you haven't met my real brother yet, have you? His name is Ares, and his skills in combat are near-to-perfect. He would actually be disappointed if he missed out on this, and most likely angry if I did not tell him... She added with a hard look, His abilities are far more powerful than you would think...trust me on that. Athena shivered slightly, but said nothing. Alucard glared at the dead body of of female. He didn't know her and he didn't care. If she was to slow to dodge U'lfr, let alone see him coming, then she would've been useless. A laughed escaped his throat when the gryphons tried to run away. "Why do they try to run?" Alucard asked himself, "So much for the proud and honorable gryphons. I guess thats what happens when your led by one that's part vampire." By cutting off their head or piercing them through the heart. Silver is also affective against them, Cratos informed Elika. He watched with disappointment as everyone seemed to be running away. As the vampires drew closer, Cratos found himself backing away in fear. He turned his head to see Athena. U'lfr looked angrily at the vampires and soon picked out Alucard. He was the real threat, being that he was an experienced gryphon hunter. He said to Elika, Cratos, and Athena, All of you, go for their heads, and don't get separated from the group, if you are bitten, fly away as fast as possible, and tell me. Also, do not stop flying, they can't kill me as easily as you, most of them also do not expect me to be able to see them as well as they see us. They are not used to fighting their own, and that means that we have two huge advantages, Elika, and myself that is as long as she does not get attacked by a group on her own. Now, Cratos, Athena, I need your help, can you please fly north and look for a large white female gryphon, she will be a clan leader and her name is Halldóra. Tell her that U'lfr needs her help, and Athena, is you can find them, find your siblings, because Area sounds like a great deal of help and Apollo's skills in flight will be invaluable. Artemis, is also, as far as I know, a powerful fighter. Please find them. said the vampire/gryphon as he turned to attack another vampire. This one was a large male, and much more powerful that U'lfr, physically. U'lfr managed to dodge his first attack and rip one of his wings off. Then he said to Elika, Your eyes must be deceiving you, there are far more than just a few hundred vampires, the queen has called them all, even a witch named Circe. said the gryphon as he used his screech ability to knock several out of the sky. There are things this world must not know about, Elika told Athena. I was just trying to keep people's hopes up, Elika informed U'lfr. Elika jumped toward the sky and flew toward the vampires, voicing her challenge. She started flying up, and used the magic of the crystal blade to put a silver coating on it, while it was on a belt on her neck. When she reached above the vampires altitude, she folded her wings and shot down at them with great speed. A mile before contact, Elika changed forms to throw them off-guard and drew her now silver coated sword. She hit the first vampire, with a straight shot threw the heart, and back-flipped off of her to another one's chest where her blade struck its mark before she even felt the force of impact. She kicked off him, aiming for a larger cluster, and slashed a vampire across the face as she did. She thrust her powerful wings to carry her higher into the sky, until she was grazing the low layers of the clouds. Apollo should be more than easy to find! she let out a laugh, and smiled. He might actually find us. He's more to the north as well. Artemis...well, she's pretty...secluded. I know her all too well; she hides her scents better than anyone. Ares...um...he's itching for a fight. If I know my brother, he's already scented the blood on the wind. OOC: I think we will skip Fanghur for the time being, I don't know where she is, or what she is doing, but we will skip her for now. IC: U'lfr growled as Elika attacked the vampires, bringing several down, however for every one she killed, two more came in its place. They began to get to them in greater numbers, and most of the frontrunners were now hanging back so as not to get caught by the two powerful enemies and were waiting on the others to attack. There were now nore than three hundred vampires with one0hundred yards of them and U'lfr said to Elika, Time to make a retreat. We can's take all of them on our own, and we have to stay alive long enough for Athena to find her siblings, as well as my family. It doesn't like it, but trust it's there, we can funnel them into that so we have less numbers to deal with. But just a second, I'll make sure they follow us. Elika was now falling out of the vampires, after she was knocked out of her jump pattern. She used magic to create a huge ball of light and hurl toward the center of the swarm. It wasn't the right kind to kill them, but it would blind for a moment. Then Elika used everything she had learned from her... creation and created a huge wall of fire and threw through the vampires. I'm sure they are following us now, so come on. Elika was falling to fast to change without ripping her wings off as soon as she did. The cave entrance was a vertical shaft to start with, but quickly turned in a rounded 100 degree angle. Elika aimed for the shaft, it would be just big enough for U'lfr to fit in. The walls were by no means smooth, Elika struck a jutted peice of rock about twenty-five feet down. She then began a very erratic and chaotic descent; she bounced back and forth from each side of the shaft, till she hit that quick slope and same to a sudden, jolting stop. Hey U'lfr, if you're behind me, can you drag me a ways down the tunnel before the Vamps get here? OOC: It is ok, I guess one of us should godmod her charries, I think I could do Alucard, but I don't know much about Cratos. IC: U'lfr growled a 'yes' to Elika as he dove into the cave. His descent was hot quite as fast, so he made it down to the bottom of the slope of the cave without much more than a few smarting cuts and bruises. He hefted Elika up onto his back and began to walk further down the tunnel. To most creatures it would be pitch black, but to the vampire, gryphon hybrid, it was as if the sun itself was shining in the caves. He said to Elika as they swiftly walked, We just need to hold them today, and the rest of the night, then we will be able to get away from them, at least you will. I can go out in the sun, as well as the best of the vampires, but I cannot take it for more than a few minutes at a time, meaning that is when we need to make our counter attack. That is why I hope we can take care of that witch. She will be tough in the sun. said the gryphon/vampire as he walked. OOC: I'm back guys, it's been a hectic few weeks but I think now I can actually concentrate on catching up in the rps I've missed. Yeah, I can god-mod Cratos I somewhat know what he's like... IC: Cratos shook his head and chuckled as Athena made an attempt to rush him in the finding of her siblings. When she mentioned Artemis, his heart skipped a beat and he smiled slightly. Yes, I'm aware of how anti-social your sister can be I had the pleasure of...meeting her one day. He wondered if Artemis would be willing to help them in this battle against the witch...but with a little persuasion he was sure she'd be in the mood for a battle. Athena laughed and smiled at Cratos. I hope you guys hadn't quarreled too much, she likes to pick a fight verbally. She stretched her wings so that she floated on the currents, scanning the land below her. It didn't come to a surprise to see her brother spralled out on a rock in the sun, taking a snooze. Apollo, wake up! she exclaimed, circling her brother. We need your help! Come on, we have to find our two other siblings! Apollo woke with a start, blinking at the intense sunlight. He looked up at the two gryphons that were flying above and he smiled. Well well, look what the cat dragged in, he joked, standing up and stretching. My help? With what? Don't tell me you got yourself into trouble little sister. He listened as she explained the battle that was taking place farther away from here and how they needed to find the others to help out in the fight. I know Ares isn't far from here, I actually just talked to him a few hours ago, he wanted some training tips, he chuckled. He opened his wings and joined Athena and Cratos in the air, sending out thought waves out to Ares if he was still in the surrounding area. Ares had been getting a drink of water when he felt his brother's mind presence. Apollo, I appreciate the fighting tips you gave me, but I need to get going, he started to say when Apollo explained the situation. A fight you say? Ares's eyes gleamed in anticipation at the thought of a battle. And we need the four of us to fight? I can go find Artemis if you guys want to go ahead and get to the battle I'll meet up with you as soon as I can. U'lfr said to Elika, It will not be that hard, as most of them will be together with the queen, with a few spread out. I would not be suprised if the main group were to stayin these caves when it gets daylight. Once it is daylight, then the gryphons will be of more use and I will stay in the caves and try to lure the vampires to you as you wait. said the gryphon/vampire as he listened to the soft echos of the varisuos claws scrapeing the cave walls. He growled under his breath and continued on. Alucard smiled as he flew with the queen into the large cave. He said, "This shall be interesting your highness. The gryphon/vampire hybrid knows our ways, even how we think. Ares watched as his siblings and Cratos took off, wondering what kind of a battle waited for them when they arrive. He sighed as he spread his wings to take flight south. Last he heard, Artemis was nesting in the Du Weldenvarden, but if he knew his sister, she would have moved somewhere secluded, away from everyone and everything. When he flew over a heavily forested area, Ares could feel the presence of his sister, though it was dim. She was probably hiding out in a cave. He scanned the area, and found a clearing with a cliff overlooking a small pool of water. The scent of gryphon hung heavily in the air as he made his descent towards the cliff. Artemis, he called out gently, knowing his sister's temper was as unpredictable as the sea itself. It's me, Ares. I need to speak with you. Artemis heard a distinct call come from nearby, to her annoyance. She stood up from within her cave and stretched out her wings. Immediately she rushed out and met her brother face to face, her feathers on her neck standing on end. What are you doing here, brother? she demanded as her eyes glinted dangerously. Even though she was smaller than her brother Ares, they were evenly matched when it came to combat. Can't you see that I came to this remote place for a little peace and quiet?! Ares snarled at her. Quit getting your feathers in a bunch, I'm here to inform you of the battle that's taking place a few miles away from here. The eagerness of a battle on the horizon was easily seen in Ares's eyes, and Artemis knew him well enough that he would have left her alone had it wasn't in a dire emergency. She allowed her feathers to lay back against her neck as she sat down, waiting for Ares to speak. Apparently, there's a battle going on between the gryphons and vampires, Ares explained, pacing. U'lfr had told Athena and Cratos to search us out in order to help with the fight. They can't do it on their own. Apollo is already going with them, I promised I'd come find you and bring you back with me. It shouldn't be hard to find, I can smell spilled blood from miles away. Are you going to come with me and help? Artemis grimaced, but she nodded in agreement. I suppose you guys are family, and if my family needs my help, then I have no choice to help do I? U'lfr let Elika down and smiled as he heard the horrendous screams come from behind the wall. He said, That will slow them down, well enough for us to get out at least. said the gryphon/vampire as he ran onward, toward the exit. He could already see the first rays of light coming over the horizon and cursed his bad luck. The day of eclpise was over and the next day was beginning. Once he reached the exit, he paused before going out into the sun. He took a deep breath sighed and leapt outside. He snarled as his skin began to sizzle and burn in the sun. He flapped hs wings as fast as possible to reach a cave that was much further away. When he reached it, he hurled himself inside and searched for any other vampires who may be hiding in there. He was relieved to see that there were none and he said to Elika, Please go and find Athena and her siblings, also try to find ym sister. When you do, please bring them to me. We will need to strike today, while the sun is up. Alucard yelled in pain as a blindingly bright light shot through the pitch black caverns. He covered his eyes as the wave of light shot past him burning his skin and causing him a great deal of pain. Athena glanced back as she spotted two dots in the distance, she assumed they were her siblings. She couldn't help but smile, this was one of the few times they would ever be together in one place, however, it wouldn't be during the happiest of times. Athena could sense her sister's reluctance, her brother Ares' lust for blood, and Apollo's hesitance. Athena felt the same when it came to a battle, she didn't want to but knew it was vital that she helped her friends against the coven of vampires ready to strike. Luckily the sun was out and they would have the upper hand during the battle. Cratos could see the mountain side just ten miles away, and knew that Athena's other siblings, Ares and Artemis, were just a few miles behind them. Not only could he sense the negative energies building up around them, but something else...he couldn't put his talon on it. Apollo looked around, and cringed at the smell of blood that rose to greet his nose uninvitingly. He turned to Athena, and asked, Where do we go from here? U'lfr is around here somewhere, Athena replied. We should go to him and see what needs to be done. I think he might be in a cave somewhere, he's half vampire you know. A gryphon that's half vampire? I've never heard of such a thing, Artemis commented as she joined her other siblings with Ares. Well, if he knows a thing or two about what we're up against I guess it matters not. U'lfr! Athena called out. Cratos and I have returned! We brought the other three with us. Where are you? I think I know where he is, Cratos said, following the scent of singed feathers. He probably stepped out into the sun. Vampires can't stand sunlight it probably hurt him as he is half. He flew over to a nearby mountain, and landed on a precipice. U'lfr said to Athena, I am not far from you, come toward the place where Elika sent fire into the air, and you will see me there. said the vampire/gryphon as he awaited their arrival. When the five gryphons had landed, he said, Nice to see you again, Artemis, Apollo, and it is nice to see that both of you did not get killed, Athena, Cratos. It is also good to see a warrior such as yourself, Ares, Athena told me a little about you. Now, if you did not know, at the moment, two races are at war with one another, the gryphons, and the vampires. Both are powerful, however the vampires have one great advantace, suprise, and at the moment, numbers. Also, they are stronger than us at night. However in the day, if we can lure them outside, we are more powerful. Elika, i shall need you to find my sister, as I cannot do it myself. Athena, Artemis, Apollo, Ares, you and myself will go and attempt to kill a few vampires, however if they go deeper into the darkness, do not follow. Ares gripped the ground in apprehension with his talons as U'lfr described the battle plans. He was looking forward to fighting a new foe, a species he had never fought before in his life. It would definately put his skills to the test. They won't have the pleasure of getting a fang under my skin, he promised U'lfr. I have a way of avoiding any trouble. Apollo nodded his head once U'lfr explained what they were about to do, and said nothing. He knew U'lfr had a vast knowledge about these vampires and wanted to know what they were going to be up against. Artemis sighed. I suppose it will be better that we have an advantage. Secretly, she was hoping to do some night-time fighting. She always felt at peace whenever she had the moon to guide her. It was as though...it filled her with an ancient and powerful energy she could never explain. It would be best, however, if what U'lfr said about vampires was true, that they fought during the day. Athena mapped out the strategy in her head, calculating what was going to happen when they put this plan into motion. That sounds good to me, U'lfr, and maybe we can also find some ways to trick them to come out into the light...though how I would not know. Cratos said, What would you like me to do, U'lfr? She'd be busy the next day or two find Ulf'r's sister and she rarely sticked to plans. She did wish however that Bastila would come out of her shell soon, her abilities would come in handy. U'lfr looked at Cratos and said simply, The most importand job is for you my friend. You will be the bait. said the gryphon/vampire as he walked further into the cave to see if he could move some boulders ad maybe have a way of getting to their enemies even though it was day time. OOC: AAA! I'm really really sorry, things just have been soo hectic with college this is actually the first time I've sat down and looked through SF and began to post. I know I say that a lot...and I tried getting on before but...errr...I'm really REALLY going to try hard to keep up with the posts and homework at the same time... IC: Cratos nodded with determination. I will do what I can, he replied as he went over to U'lfr and began moving rubble away from the other tunnel., .He began wondering how he could lure them out. He figured the best way was to make a lot of noise before getting too deep into the nest that way he could avoid certian death. Ares pushed his shoulder against one of the bigger boulders, and moving it out of the way without too much trouble. As he did so, his attention was caught by the air flow coming up through the tunnels, bringing the scent of blood and decay with it. That must be the smell of vampire, he concluded to himself. Apollo helped where it was needed, clearing away the rubble and debris that was clogging one of the tunnels. Perhaps Cratos could crawl through here and maybe find another vein that leads to the main chamber without attracting their attention, he suggested. Elika flew as fast as she could, realizing she could've probably reached the first mountains fast if she had ran, there was very little friction to speed her up. None the less, within a few hours the first peaks of range came into view.
