Elfenla and Zar was flying over the desert. The weather was very hot and the sand was moving around because of the wind. All you could see was sand, rocks, more sand, some small plants and... More sand.
"It's a kind of boring here, don't you think?"
"Well... There is a lot of space here to fly, Zar!"
"Elfenla. I think somebody is following us!"
"Were? I can't see enebody."
"You can't, but I can. And I'm sure. Someone is following us. And I'm not sure if they are friends or enemies. I think we should hide behind some rocks."
"You, behind some rocks? You are not easy to hide, Zar!"
Zar landed in the sand and pushed Elfenla behind a rock.
"Are you sure somebody is coming? We don't have time to this!"
Zar didn't answer!
"If they are enemies I will cut them through!"

Syrianna was flying from a distance. He had sensed a dragon and his rider. As Syrianna approached the power Sytheras, his dragon, flew to the ground. Syrianna spoke"I know there is someone there. There is no need for a fight. Eka fricai un Shur'tugal, I am a rider and a friend. Now show yourself."

Elfenla showed herself for the stranger with her sword in one of her hands and her bow in the other one. She looked at him with her green eyes.
"Who are you?" She said brutally.
Zar groared and showed his large teeth. He was ready for a battle, if the stranger was an enemy!
Zar told the stranger:
"If you will harm us, I will rip you into pieces and I will cut you body in so many pieces, that even your own mother would not know you!"
Elfenla stared surprised at Zar. He was very violent today.

Kariana watched with interest from behind a large sand dune. She had not seen many other dragons, and was curious to see who they sided with. I'm up for a fight she thought to herself But I am far too outnumbered. she decided. She crouched a little lower, and snaked her head forwards to hear what the riders were saying.

OOC: Good work guys, keep it up!

"My name is Syrianna and I have been looking for you. I sensed your presense all the way in Du Weldenvarden. I thought i should come and see for myself. Oh and this is my dragon Sytheras."

Syrianna's dragon was easily twice the size of Zar. Do not worry my friend. Me and my rider will not hurt youtold Sytheras to Zar. As zar had Sytheras bared here teeth aswell. The glisened in the sun as did his beautiful silver scales.

"As i said before I am from Du weldenvarden. I am surprised to see a new dragon rider. But it cheers me that I may teach you. If you wish of course. But if you accept you will be tested beyond all extremes. Oh and you may want to check over that sande dune over there," Syrianna pointed at the dune, "There is someone hiding there, a woman i believe"

"I know. I heard her coming. I think she is listening to us! I don't need more practice. I'm very good to magic and weapons. I'm an elver!"
Zar looked icecold at the dragon and Syrianna.
"Are you two with Galbatorix?" he asked.

Meanwhile Zar asked them, Elfenla walked over to the sand dune. She touched the girls neck with her sword.
"Who are you? And are you an enemy?"

OOC: firetounges charcter is a wild dragon

Watching from the sky listening to the conversation with magic Zane was very interested. He saw a wild dragon too and he always wanted to see on. He waited to land so he could see what side both riders were on.

"Canis we must wait, I know your anxious and so am I, but we have to wait" Zane said to his red Dragon through their mind.

Worried at being discovered, Kariana stepped forward, eager to see who each pair sided with. Keeping her distance she said. I am no woman. In case you can't tell, I am a dragon. I mean you no harm, but I am also curious to see who you all side with. She bent low and showed her teeth as a warning to come no closer.

Zane saw the beautifal amythest dragon step out into the open.
" What abeautifal species" Zane said to Canis
' Indeed she is' replied Canis
Zane and Canis landed away from the two riders but close to the wild dragon.
"My name is Zane and I am free to do as I want I have chosen no side Oh great dragon of the sky" Zane bowed as did Canis showing no interst in the two riders.
' I can only wish to look and be as powerful as you' Canis said to the dragon

"I'm sorry, my proud Dragon. I believe you! I'm against Galbatorix and all his armys!"
Enfenla kneeled for Kariana.
Zar made a kind of smile to the dragon.
"And witch site are you on, Kariana?"

I am honoured. Kariana replyed, enjoying the flattery, and dipping her head in a small bow. I myself would be on nobody's side, if it weren't for the fact that Galbatorix killed somebody I deeply cared for. Because of that, I wish for revenge. She cast a glance at all the dragons and their riders.

"I am sorry for you, deeply and truly" Zane said with a sorrowful expression on his face "If you wish i can sorry I mean we can help you if you wish, Right Canis" Canis growled with approval.
"It would be an honor for me to help a wild dragon, but I would wish to know your name if it pleases you to answer" Zane said

Kariana thought for a moment, then carefully replied. My name is Kariana. Thank you for your offer, help would be greatly appreciated. She bowed slightly again.

Elfenla asked the strangers:
"Can't we listening too, or are you wispering secrets overthere?"
Zar laughed his strange laugh and showed his great, white teeth. He spread his wings and a little sandstorm flew into the sky.

" I am a master of the blade and Canis is strong and healthy, but although i am a rider im not the most proficient with magic. I tire easily and cannot use it for a long period of time. " Zane said not at all ashamed " But if we find a wizard who uses naught but magic i wont continue with him I feel wizards who only use magic are cowards."
Canis growled in afirmative.

Kariana eyed the other rider, then added I agree. Galbatorix is one of that kind. She stepped towards him. And I do not take kindly to cowards.

Zane didnt move or flinch when she stepped forward.
Zane asked " Why were you out in the Desert Kariana " then he addressed the other two riders with the same question.

Kariana laughed a little. I was looking for help. I suppose I found it, and maybe a bit of an adventure too! She shuffled her wings into a more comfortable position, and clawed the ground, enjoying the sand under her feet. Anyway, where else am I supposed to go? I have no home, no family. This desert is a big place. It is surprising what you can find here.

Elfenla looked down at her shinning sword, and then she looked Zane into the eyes.
"I'm looking for a Shade. And when I find him I will rip him into so many pieces that you can't count them!"

" A shade" Zane said surprised "Why would he be in this place, and why do you want to find him?"
Canis was silent knowing full well that Zane hated shades and would love to see this one die

Kariana widened her eyes in surprise. A shade? She questioned. I didn't know there were more shades. Slaying one would be a mighty task, only a few heroes of legend have accomplished such a feat. Were you trained in such battles?

"I want to kill him so bad. He killed my parenta, but he didn't kill me and I don't understand why. I think he could be here somewere because I have followed his footsteps for weeks now. And I found his footsteps out here in this Desert.
Elfenlas green eyes flashed with lightning and her sword was shinning very sharp. Zar groared, and made a lot of sand fly away with his breath.

"Yes, I was trained to kill this Shade. I will not be resting before I find him and kill him! I'm very strong and I hope I can kill him!"

Zane seeing the interest in Kirianas eyes said
" Why dont we hunt this shade so Galbatorix loses one of his generals"
Canis growled to show his consent

Kariana's eyes lit up. You know that's a pretty good idea! She began clawing at the ground again without noticing. We can't fail if we go together!

IC: " Exactly but if she doesnt want us to butt in we wont." Zane said "It is her fight not ours."
So we all agree lets go then said Canis witha roar

"No, I disagree! It's my Shade! It's me who deserve to kill him! And he is one of the strongest Shades there have even been. Are you trained to kill Shades?" she asked the others.

Kariana exchanged looks with Zane and Canis, surprised. We won't come if you don't want us to, we just thought you'd like some help. Anyway, if were going to stand here chatting all day, I have better things to do.[i]

" Iam trained well enough and icould easily defeat a shade, also i said i would let you fight right." Zane said with growing anger, " So dont you dare look at us like you are better in any way, You aren't my protector so dont act like one"

"I didn't said I were better than you! Don't make me furious. I can be very violent when I get mad! I'm very good to use magic! You can follow me a while, if you like, but when I find the Shade, he's mine!"
Elfenla jumped up on Zar's saddle, and looked in the distance.
"I'm sure you will find him, Elfenla" Zar said gently.
"But when? I can't relax before I kill him."

" Kiriana should we follow her it would aid in our quest as well?" Zane said unsure of what to do.
Canis said ' I want to see the shade die and see how well this rider can fight i think we should'

Kariana looked longingly at the cloudless blue sky, then replied I don't mind what you choose, it's your descision. However, I am not going to stay here if some shade is about to meet his bloody end. I will go with them.

"Mighty dragon, it will be an honour to travel with you!"

Kariana glanced away uncomfortably. Again, I am honoured. She directed a question at Zane and Canis. Will you be joining us? She asked eagerly.

" ANd when do we leave I am eagar to go" Zane said so anxious for a good fight for he had not had one in awhile

As Faefnir awoke from his self-induced trance, he already knew of the happenings in the land of Alagaesia. He knew of the new Rider pair, Eragon and Saphira, that were already commencing their training. He knew of the chaos to the west and the muster of the Varden to the south. He also knew of the reports of a Shade walking in his dominion and the group of companions, two pairs of bound dragons and Riders and one wild dragon, that were hunting this Shade. He looked at the White Stag of Feldunost, his one and only friend and loyal companion from deep within the reaches of Du Weldenvarden, standing next to him, making sure no one disturbed him. Faefnir spoke to the Stag in the deep, gutteral, nearly indecipherable tongue of the dragon race. "There is a Shade running loose in the desert. Intercept Zane and his companions and tell them this..." And so the Stag went running out of Faefnir's mountain abode, faster than any dragon, searching for the group of companions deep within the hostile reaches of the Hadarac Desert.

ruh roh. i guess Faefnir will have to awake in some other Hadarac topic.
