Jadier looked around, the dark shadows closing in on her as she panted. A small line of sweat was rolling down her neck as the egg seemed heavier then it usually was. She had no idea what it was, but it had chased her into this forest, and now she was lost. She stood there, nervous as she clutched the rather battered sack to her body as she drew her sword. Something was after her, or at least the egg. She had tried so hard to keep away from suspecting and greedy eyes, most would simply sell it, but no, she knew that she could never allow that to happen.

[i:caterpillar]Snap![/i:caterpillar] It was coming! Jadier took off again, her lungs burned as her legs felt ready to give out. She was ready to just give up, she had been running for so long, fighting so hard, and it had not gotten her anywhere. She cringed as she could feel her footsteps smack the soft ground rather loudly. It didn't matter that she was rightly an elf, growing up around humans gave you their tendancies, and for Jadier, that was a clumsiness she developed when she was scared.

Suddenly her path was block, huge trees loomed over her. They seemed to be mocking her, though it wasn't their fault she had been coralled into this small blocked off area. She quickly searched for a hole, and buried the egg deep into the earth before she quickly covered it up as best she could. She whipped around, the darkness seemingly closing on her as she drew her sword. Jadier stood their quietly, listening to her hard breathing as she waited, unsure if this was just her mind cracking under the stress of her life.

IC:
A dark shadow crossed the sky. He scanned the land, sweeping his head from side to side. He could sense a presence three leagues to the east of him. His midnight black scales rustled dryly as he moved his wings, he grunted with surprise. He thought for a fleeting moment that he sensed that the presence had a unhatched dragon egg. He shook his head, dismissing the idea from his head. Dragon eggs were very rare, it was unlikely that this being would be carrying something so precious. For a fleeting second, he thought he saw something chasing the being, but a second later, it disappeared. Before he arrived at the location, he was able to distinguish that the being was a elven woman, very frightened about something or someone, and running from that something or someone. He growled lowly, then landed near the young-frightened-elf-woman. He was hidden from her sight, but she could probably hear the deep, rasping breathes of a dragon. He stepped into the half-light and snorted, causing a small plume of smoke to swirl around her. He lowered his triangular head down to her level and stared at her with one great golden eye. What is it that chases you, little one? he asked gently, arching his graceful neck. The silver spikes along his spine glinted as he moved.

Jadier felt something huge come across the sky. She jumped, looking around as the presence came closer. She instinctively moved in front of the area that she had buried the egg. Hopefully it was going without detection, she couldn't afford that. She hadn't ever really had proper training, but she had taught herself to use a blade. She felt her knees wobble as a deep and rasping voice came out of almost nowhere. She felt the ground shudder slightly.

Jadier moved backwards, finally coming to stand over the egg protectively as the large mass moved forward into enough light so she could see him. She was easily frightened. After she heard his voice she almost sighed in relief as she realized this wasn't the thing chasing her. It took her a moment to gather her witts, still standing protectively over the egg buried in the dirt and roots of the trees. I do not know, but something dark, a shadow, is chasing me like the devil. She felt uneasy, her eyes looking about wildly.

Jadier looked at the massive dark dragon with a frightened gaze. How had he known? Of course the answer came easily despite her scrambled mind. He was a dragon, and if anyone, or anything, could sense an egg, they would be able to. She sighed, but still scared. Jadier quickly bent to her knees and began to quickly unbury the egg, her sword discarded a few feet away from her. The small hands began to shake as she brushed the dirt off, she whipped her head around to see that shadow dodging the dragon and coming at her. The shriek that came from her mouth was shrill and very loud.

Her eyes snapped shut, waiting for the impact, but she felt an immense amount of heat surround the area. Jadier's eyes shot open as she saw the black inferno incasing the shadow in heat. It was obvious it was causing it pain, but it wasn't dieing, though it also couldn't escape the fire. Jadier could see the flickering eyes staring at her despite the pain it was enduring from the fire. Her body trembled, but she clutched the egg tighter. After a few more prolonged moments of fear coarsing through her body, the dark shadow burst into a million pieces that dispersed at once. Jadier sighed in relief, but was not at all sure it was gone.

After silence, she knew it wouldn't come back for now. Let's go, her voice was weak even though she had spoken in her mind to the large dragon. She was eager to get out of there.

Jadier quickly launched herself onto the dragons back, though it was slightly awkward. She'd never encountered a real dragon before, so it was a bizarre experience. The thought of the impending danger kept her mind focused and most of her questions were kept silent and quickly forgotten. She listened to the great dragon's questions and thought to herself for a moment. Already she knew she could trust him, but she had no real knowledge of dragons other then the rather annoying presence that frequented her mind on a daily basis.

Jadier was nervous to confide in the dragon, but she thought it would be best. I do not want anyone else to know what I'm about to tell you. I have been able to keep this egg hidden from many eyes for many years. It has been such a burden. Several years ago I came upon a witchdoctor of sorts who had the egg. When he realized it was about to hatch, he put a rather nasty curse on it. The connection the egg felt with me was so great that despite the immature state and primevial means we have, he began to communicate with me. She sighed as they were in the sky now, far above the trees.

It's a very crude method of communicating, and since he's basically a baby, it's rather annoying. He won't shut up most of the time and is clammering to get out. It's been worse this passed year simply because he is not meant to be kept in his egg so long. He should've hatched so long ago, I fear he'll be damaged if he's kept in his egg much longer. Her last words were sad as she held the egg close to her, wrapped up in her rather worn cloak.

OOC: I'll join up, if you two dont mind. =P Oh, and I hatched a very interesting idea DS, I'm planning to join with Kuja. So here's my idea, where we are it is the time during the time jump we did in Sorrowful Exile. Like this could be right after the event in Bahamut's cave and during the time jump we decide to go some place just for "us" if you catch my drift. Ya know Felecia, Kuja...anyways let's say we havent gotten around to concieving yet...but tried. Geez this is awkward explaining.... Ok so you get my main point.

Do not worry little one, I'll keep your secret to myself. Though I doubt I'll be able to keep it from my Rider, he said with disdain. He listened in silence as she explained, though a light growl vibrated in his throat at the mention of the witch doctor. You've been through much, little one. I believe the hatchling inside the egg has chosen you as it's Rider, but cannot hatch because of the spell. Oh, I've completely forgotten my manners. My name is Ebony, he said as a rather large hut with a huge stable next to it came into view. A fence surrounded the perimeter. He flared his translucent wings, slowing his fast descent. His thigh muscles rippled as he landed, absorbing the shock. I and my Rider might be able to devise a spell so that it can hatch, he said, then turned to the hut. Felecia, I'm back. And I brought a friend, he called. A rustling could be heard, then the fabric door parted and revealed the elven Rider. Her waist length black blue hair was held back with a leather strap. Her sapphire eyes danced with merriment, though if you looked hard enough, you could see sadness deep within. Her bright red lips were parted in a warm smile, revealing white teeth,"Welcome to my home." she said.

Jadier frowned. If possible, I'd rather your rider not know. I don't know why, but this just feels like it is my burden, and if anyone knows, then something terrible might happen. I suppose the reason I felt more inclined to tell you is because you have probably saved me from a horrible and painful death. She was quickly quieted as she saw the large hut and the larger stable. It was kind of a random sight to see, but she found that it looked rather homely, if that were a possible thought at the sight.

It is fine, you have saved my life, I should be the one trying to come up with something to say in gratitude, or even try and excuse my horrible manners. I'm very lucky to have met you Ebony, my name is Jadier. She said as he landed. Her body rattled slightly as his body absorbed the energy from landing. Jadier sort of half stumbled, half fell, off of Ebony. She looked up surprised, out of her own nature, she clutched the egg defensively before she let a small spread across her face. I suppose I should thank you as well. Without your dragon neither one of us would be here. She said holding the egg tight. "Sorry," she quickly apologized. "I don't really interact with people, I'm used to my mind. Especially when it's taken up with another presence." She glanced at the folds of her cloak before rolling her eyes in annoyance as the small presence began to get active in her mind.

Kuja was laying on his side lazily, head rested on his elbow. His eyes were closed, trying to rest. However it was abruptly interrupted when Ebony landed. Ugh, honestly, you think he would hover first instead of just landing head on. The room Kuja was in was dark, the windows were curtained off and the door was closed. Since he and Felecia arrived here he has felt slighty strange about the whole "treehouse" deal. Kuja sighed slightly, sometimes I just dont understand elves.
Not really sure what was going on, Kuja teleported downstairs. As to no suprise, he had his look on his face...or rather no look. Just a blank stare. He saw Felecia and Eb talking to some one. Kuja crossed his arms and stood watching curiously.

OOC: I'm so sorry to interrupt but I couldn't help but be reminded of something when you said "Dragon Sickness." In a previous rp, a sickness of exactly that nature (no cure, killed many dragons, etc) was used. It was called the "Miragones Virus." I wanted to offer it to you in case you decide to maybe add a bit more of a connection between different rps. I also thought the similarities were cool, so maybe they could be the same thing.

Anyway, I just wanted to point that out, lol I'll go now. Bye!

That would be cool Draco. Though there's one problem. The only cure to the Miragones Virus is Ohnyaeli blood, and to my knowledge, Jayde hasn't been online in some time. And Felena can't die because she's alive 15 years from now.

Jadier kept her cloak tightly around her. She didn't show obvious signs of concealing something, but she did seem suspicious. If I can feel that I can trust her as I now know I can trust you, then yes, she may know, but something does not feel right here. She said wearily as she looked around, keeping her eyes out for something, anything. As much as I would love a quiet thought in my mind, it is almost worse when he goes quiet and sleeps. Since he has no real idea of how to communicate, I get hazy pictures and half formed feelings. It's difficult, but we've been together long enough to understand each other far beyond what I could've originally hoped. It's more of his childish attitude that really has me annoyed. She spoke solely to Ebony.

Until I know what it was, and who is wanting me dead, then I want no one to know, but if you feel that it would put a strain on you two, then I suppose I have no choice in the matter. After all, the worst creature to confide in is a rider or a dragon, for neither can hold a secret from the other. She quoted the last part.

Jadier eyes flashed as she saw this Kuja fellow come out of the large hut. Instantly her mind was full on the defensive side as she no longer felt safe. There was something about him that made her want to run away. Jadier wasn't at all surprised by Felecia's wings, her mind was too occupied to really even care. Jadier didn't even say a thing, she just stood there, her eyes accusing.

OOC: You could find another cure! That'd be interesting! Oh, btw, I'm the one who picked that new color, lol. I just wanted a shade of green.

After seeing the commotion, Kuja lost interest and went back inside. He was tired and it was late so he wnet to sleep.

OOC: Sorry short, not a whole lot going on lol.

Jadier half smiled to herself. She'd never even thought of being a dragon rider, she was in a way, but then again, she was far from one. The egg had picked her, but being in the egg for more then a decade was truly harming it. Jadier felt terrible, she couldn't even bring her dragon into the world, what kind of rider would she make if he ever hatched? She frowned at the thought, easily distracted by her own thoughts. As Ebony nudged her shoulder, she was brought back to her current situation. Thank you Ebony, I am sure you are the fiercest friend and most loyal to those who have earned your trust. She offered him a smile. It was a truly humbling experience to speak with the mighty dragon, she'd travelled for so long with no personal knowledge of these creatures, but now as she was with this real live one, it made her re-evaluate how she looked on life.

A small sense of relief flooded her for a moment as Kuja went back inside. It didn't matter if he had left Galbatorix or not, he was just down right evil, or at least that was what she felt. Though she knew she should keep in mind that first impressions were often wrong. Jadier laughed quietly as a few images burst into her vision. "The cold doesn't bother me, but yes, it would be nice to be in a real shelter, an actual structure." She smiled and followed Felecia. She was surprised by the hut, it was far more then she had thought. Aside from the large stone cities built by Galbatorix, and the beautiful sung tree homes that the elves sang, this was an impressive structure along with the stable. Jadier still hadn't gotten the hang of singing the wood into a usuable weapon at least, despite her being elf.

Ebony sighed warily as he lead his head down on the soft-feathery-pillow, half closing his eyes. He watched Felecia walk around a bit.
Little one, the tea should be strong now, he said gently to her. He smiled slightly as his voice jerked her out of the daydream she'd been in.
Oh, yes. Thank you Eb, she said. Ebony yawned widely, his ivory teeth flashing. Fighting the shadow-creature had drained his energy some, leaving him sleepy and needing rest. When he closed his maw, he was slightly startled to see Jadier in front of him.
Oh, sorry. I didn't see you there, he said, his eyelids drifting half-closed, then open, then half-closed again.
Pardon me, fighting that creature has left me drained. I may doze off at any moment, he murmured to her privately.

Felecia picked up the tea cup and handed it to Jadier,"I hope you like yarrow tea, it's all I've got." she said, smiling apologetically. She sat on the edge of Ebony's bed and began stroking the crown of his head, just behind his left horn. She heard him sigh in contempt as she scratched under the scales. He pressed against her hand, telling her to scratch harder. Felecia complied, digging her fingers under the scale. She felt his muscles relax, then tense again as he shifted his head into her lap. Smiling, she tickled his snout. His nose twitched, but remained dormant. She tickled again. This time, he sneezed. It sounded like something had crashed onto the floor. Luckily, Felecia had sound proofed each room in the tree house. You could cause an avalanche in one room, and the room right next to it wouldn't hear a thing. Half-playful, half-amused, half-annoyed, Ebony glared at her with one great golden eye.
Must you make me sneeze? You know it makes my nose twitch for hours afterward, he growled, semi-stern, semi-playful. Felecia's smile widened.
I know it does, but I can fix that with a spell, she said, then murmured a phrase in a undertone so that only Eb could hear. As soon as she finished, Ebony's nose stopped twitching with the urge to sneeze.
Ah, thank you little one, he said, his eyelids drifting closed again.
Felecia turned to Jadier,"So what brings someone like you to Du Weldenvarden? Were you seeking training from the elves? Or is there some other purpose?" she asked.

Ebony's ears stood on alert the moment Felecia starting talking.
Tell her what you want, though try to make it as much of the truth as you can. Felecia is very adept at knowing if your lieing or not. She's caught me at it once or twice, he whispered to Jadier, just loud enough for her to hear.

Jadier looked between the two, she took the cup of tea and sniffed it for a moment. She hadn't really tried it before, it had a strange smell to it, and an odd quality, but she was confident that Felecia wasn't trying to poison her. She took a sip, it was a very odd flavor indeed, and she almost disliked it, but out of proper politeness she continued to drink it. Jadier looked back to Ebony. She had waited a moment, to phrase her thanks properly, before she spoke. Trust me, I could never think ill of you. You've saved my life, but it wasn't just my life you saved. Please rest, you deserve it. I simply wish I could repay you some way. She spoke solely to him, excluding Felecia from her thoughts. It wasn't so much she didn't trust the elf, but Jadier felt that she didn't deserve to know exactly what had happened, at least not yet.

Jadier watched the two with an amused expression. She looked at her cloak, the spot where her egg was wrapped securely in the folds. She felt comfortable enough with the two to expose the egg, though she knew Felecia was bound to ask at least one question, whether to her or Ebony. She set the cup aside, most of tea completely gone. She felt much better, and safer here, but the dark encounter loomed heavily in her mind. The egg was smaller then it should've been, a bit premature in its laying was the most likely reason. She held it before her, lost as the presence didn't seem like it was a nuisance at the moment. Believe me Ebony, I doubt Felecia would be able to pick out too many of my lies. My whole life has little truth in it, but I believe if I come to know her, then I'll be able to part with my story much easier. She looked up and caught Ebony's gaze for a moment before she turned to Felecia.

"No, I've already trained with them, at least enough to keep me alive. It is more of me travelling about. I find the forest more refreshing then Galbatorix's cities, and the minds of the living tend to annoy me sometimes, but I fear that I would rather live in a rock then in a hut among others." She laughed dryly.

After a few hours, Kuja opened his eyes. No matter how much he tried, he couldnt sleep much anymore. He wasnt sure why, but he could sense there was some cause behind it. Not wanting to think about it, he got up slowly. Dammit...
Kuja felt that his scars were aching. He sighed and numbed himself to deal with it. Smelling tea downstairs attracted him, he descended to the first floor and went into the kitchen. He grabbed some of the tea and went into the other room and silently sat down next to Felecia.

It's alright with me, but like D said, it's ultimately up to Erais. It's her thread and she said in the beginning that she really only wanted one or two people. What do you think Erais?

Felecia laughed. It sounded like the trilling of a song bird, sweet and musical,"Yes, I can understand that feeling. Though I'm more of the social type, Kuja..eh..not so much. That's why we live here. No one within three miles lives around here. But I do understand where your coming from. Sometimes one must have some private time to themselves to recollect their thoughts and emotions." she said.
Just like Erais, she thought. Felecia smiled as Kuja sat next to her, though the corners frowned a little when she noticed that he had blood shot eyes,"Didn't sleep well again?" she asked.

Ebony smiled.
I know you wouldn't think ill of me for falling asleep. But I would think it's rude. And believe me. A rude dragon isn't really a dragon at all. One thing you must learn about my kind, he paused,is that were proud creatures. Always have, always will be. We pride ourselves in our hides, and rightly so. The most magnificent dragon hide to ever exist, would most likely belong to Saphira, Eragon's dragon. Her hide is a beautiful deep sapphire that sparkles brightly in the sun, and she knows it. There are four things to remember about what a dragon believes in. The main things are usually, honesty, loyalty, bravery, and friendship. Though it differs from dragon to dragon. I treasure any friend I make, and would lay my life down for them. Bravery doesn't always mean about how brave you are in battle, but if your brave enough to retreat when you must, and you don't force yourself to fight on. Loyalty means two things. Like I said, I would lay my life down for a friend, but I would lay my soul down for a close friend, for a moment, his mind f-licked to a image of Felecia, then returned to the conversation.
Honesty isn't really my thing, however. Sometimes life becomes so twisted, your forced to tell a lie, whether you like it or not. No, my fourth thing is honor. I will fight honorable, I will not deceive my foe and use treachery. I will always face my opponent face to face, never sneak up on him and attack him from behind like a coward, he said. Ebony lifted his right eyelid to look at Jadier as Kuja entered the room. No need to get tense, little one. First impressions are often bad. Why, the first time we met Kuja and his dragon, Selris, they tried to kill us. Now look at where we are. Selris is dead and Felecia is Kuja's mate. Odd outcome, huh? he asked her privately, a soft chuckle vibrating in his throat,

Jadier watched as Kuja came in and sat down next to Felecia, she instantly felt nervous and uncomfortable again. She didn't like him. She turned her attention back to Ebony, trying to distract herself. She had agreed with what Felecia had said, but it seemed that it was much more than that, like it had deeper feelings behind it for the few occupants that dwelt there. It didn't seem like any of them would put up with anyone except those who were there. Ebony and Felecia wouldn't be parted, that was an obvious thing, but Jadier wondered about Kuja.

I understand what you say, and I believe you are right about those qualities. Most people don't realize there is a second hand, a different way you can use any quality. That is probably why we have so much trouble in our world, but I suppose no one will every admit their faults. Pride is a thing of the devil. She frowned slightly to herself. She glanced over at Kuja and saw him staring at her egg. Instantly she wanted to lash out at him and her eyes quickly darkened, but all she did was cover the egg back up with a bit of her cloak. I don't care what you or Felecia say, he just does not feel right. He gives me the creeps. She confided solely to Ebony.

Ebony chuckled softly. I can understand your mistrust, Jadier. It is well justified with what Kuja has done in the past, he said to Jadier. He watched as Jadier saw that Kuja was watching the egg with rapt attention, and quickly hid the egg.
You might consider letting him help you. Kuja is a Shade, so he can see and use dark magic. He might be able to remove the spell on the egg. Though of course, you could always ask Zana when she comes back, if you don't want to trust him with your treasure, he told her. He yawned widely, flashing rows of formidable, sharp teeth. His eyelids drooped once again. Unable to keep his eyes open a moment longer, he lowered his head, his eyes closing fully a moment later. His breathing deepened as he fell into a deep sleep. His tail tip twitched as he dreamed.

Felecia stroked Ebony's neck while he slept. Hunting must of taken a lot of energy, she thought. She glanced at the egg in Jadier's arms with slight alarm in her eyes. It soon abaited, though she stayed alert. She knew that something was going on, something that Ebony didn't, or couldn't tell her. She withheld her impatience, hurt, and annoyance of her dragons silence. If he ever kept something from her, it was for very good reason. Felecia resigned herself to wait, and see if Jadier would open up and say why she was really there. She hid her emotions and intentions with accuracy from the others, including Ebony. She met Jadier's eyes for a second, fierce, gaurded, untrusting. She knew whom it was that the elven woman didn't trust: Kuja. Felecia thought of something then, something that she could do to help Jadier,"Jadier, I know it's rude of me to ask something that might be private, but can you use magic?" she asked, raising her right eyebrow upward a fraction in question.

Felena groaned softly in pain. Her very blood seemed to burn her, hot and unforgiving flames. She lifted her head slightly as foot steps echoed in the dragon stable. She was relieved when she saw Zana, Arianna a few steps behind her. She looked behind them to see Zeke and Ella following. Arianna went to her stall and laid down, keeping one eye fixed on her mother at all times. Zeke laid down in his stall and munched on some rabbit meat. Felena smiled, though it looked more like a grimace of pain.
Any luck? she asked hopefully. Zana frowned,"Yes, we found something that will heal you, but...." she hesitated, then continued,"It will be very painful." she said. Felena grimaced in dislike, then nodded her head weakly.
I'll do it, but I want Ebony by my side, and he's sleeping right now. So we don't begin until he's fully rested, she said firmly. The others nodded. They'd known before asking her about whether to do it or not that she would say yes, but she would want her mate by her side.

Kuja sighed slightly to himself. Hmm, it seems even when I am with Felecia I cannot be trusted. Then again, I wouldnt trust some one like me either at first glance, he thought amusingly. After finishing his drink, Kuja stood up. "I'm going outside for a while, to do some training exercises. If you need me I'll be a short distance away." He walked out of the "tree house" and jumped down onto the ground. He walked a short distance away so he could have some privacy.

Jadier listened to Ebony but shook her head as she was resolved. No, I don't care what he has done, a Shade is a Shade. Anyone who does dark magic has passed over and they don't matter to me. I would not trust him with my egg. I don't care if he could take the curse off, I'd rather die than allow him to touch my egg. Her tone was stubborn as she knew she was being foolish. It was only a matter of time for the damage to become worse. Zana? she asked him curiously. Hopefully this Zana person could be trusted enough by Jadier for her to allow the curse to be taken from the egg. Every day he was becoming more of a pain and irritation as he wanted out!

It had grown quiet for a while. She watched as Kuja left and gave a sigh in relief. She just couldn't find it in her heart to trust him, no matter who he was or what he had done. She pulled the egg out once again and held it, staring at it lovingly. It didn't matter how much he got on her nerves, he was always welcome and she couldn't hold a grudge against him. That was the one strange thing about their very odd relationship, when Jadier made an enemy it was rare that she'd overcome her difference with them to be a friend. Most were her enemies for life and she didn't care if they knew it or not. However this little, but mighty, creature was constantly trying her patience and still got her to calm down.

Jadier looked up before laughing to herself. "Well," she began as if there was some sort of inside joke going on with herself. "Yes and no."

OOC: Umm, not sure If I can really do anything atm, DS4 is off the computer for a while... dont know how long, but hopefully it wont be too much longer.

Parents went out for the evening, so I snuck on.

IC:
Zana lingered in the stable for awhile, then went into the tree-house. She went up the stairs to find a young elf woman that she didn't recognize,"Ah, hello. I'm Zana." she said warmly, twisting her hand above her sternum. She took a cup and filled it with tea, then went to sit next to Felecia, who smiled and wrapped a wing around her Shade-half.

IC:
Felecia tensed; Kuja was in danger. Already drawing her sword, she headed for the window,"Stay here, Jadier. No need for the egg to be put in harms way. I sense this is Galbatorixs' work. Zana, you stay, too." she said calmly to her as she passed the young elf & the elderly Shade. She jumped through the window, wings clamped to her back. As soon as she cleared the top, she opened her wings. She followed the mental link that she held with Kuja to his location. She circled the area once, then landed beside him,"He's really pushing it, hurting my friends and family like this." she hissed softly. Felecia looked into his pale eyes, and, in a much gentler tone, said,"Are you alright Kuja?" as she healed the wound in his stomach. The ones on his chest would have to wait.

Zana grumbled and crossed her arms. Galbatorix knew all to well that she could kick his little wimpy behind whenever she wanted, so why did Felecia have to get all protective over her and ruin her fun? She knew that her host was just being protective, but sometimes it got annoying.
"Maybe your host left you behind for a bigger reason than you think." growled an oily smooth voice that she knew all to well; Galbatorix had found her.
Without turning around, she growled back,"Go. To. Hell." she jabbed at his mind for emphasis. But he seemed to not even feel the jab,"Oh, come now Zana. I know what you really think about me. You long to join my army, do you not?" he said.
Turning around to look at him, she raised an eyebrow at him,"Join your army? Ha! Now that's a laugh. I'll join your army when Hell freezes over, you win the war, and you succeed in capturing Eragon and Saphira." she hissed. Galbatorixs' face melted from the pleased grin, to the angry scowl,"Which will happen in the very near future." he then turned to Jadier,"Ah, hello little lady. I think you have something I might want." he said.
In a flash, Zana drew Deyja and darted in front of Jadier,"Galbatorix, if you touch that egg, your a dead man." she hissed softly.
