 BackmaskingI get the strangest feeling I've already made a topic on this.
 Do you think it's possible to create a song to play backwards and forwards with different lyrics? Or can you think of any songs that do work that way? I personally am a bit skeptical. Backmasking has been done before by John Lennon and ELO for example, but the message sounded like gibberish played forwards. Famous example is the song 'Stairway to Heaven' by Led Zeppelin. It's supposedly a satanic message the other way round. (I personally don't think this song is an example, but... Stairway to Heaven one way, and Stairway to Hell the other. How cool would that be?) Re: Backmasking Oh, I've heard of this before... some people claim it's a kind of subliminal messaging, and I don't really believe it all that much. It seems pointless. Why would an artist waste their time making something sound like something else backwards?
I heard the Eagles' song "Hotel California" was like that also, or something. |

Re: Backmasking Hmm, yeah, they do this in a bunch of Beatles songs too. I don't think it was a coincidence though. They have to have done it on purpose, I mean, let's be practical. If you say a random sentence it most likely won't mean anything if you say it backwards. It's strange to think about. Maybe the artists are hiding something they want to keep a secret. You never know..

Re: Backmasking They say if you play a Windows CD backwards, there's Satanic messages. That's nothing. If you play it forwards, it installs Windows!
Some people claimed a Judas Priest song made kids commit suicide through subliminal backmasking. I read an interview with them where the bloke asked them about it, they said they felt really upset being accused of that, and why would they tell people to kill themselves? If they added subliminal messages, it would be to buy their merchandise or something  If you read this backwards it would be the same. _________________ . .  . . . .
