I've been thinking about this myself, one, Eragon tells Saphira that they will go and see if they can find wild dragons in the land humans were believed to come from.

They are in Alagaesia. You see the map on the book? That is alagaesia. Like the map of Europe, Alagaesia have many places and there are islands too! I think even Surda is on Alagaesia too..

Another.....Eragon and Saphira agreed on seeing the doua Abrea (Sp) or something like that. They said it would be an interesting fact to learn AND see where Saphira was born. Other then that, who knows?

i think i know why Eragon will leave Alagaesia, when he and Saphira went to train with the Elves Eragon Promised to help Saphira find more of her kind in book 2, they might go looking for more dragons and never return like the herbalist said in book 1.....that is my thought.

Yes he did. Katrina is not dead yet, she's a captive of the Ra'zac. Once (or if) Eragon and Roran rescue her, she and Roran'll probably get married, maybe at the end or middle of the book. They might travel with Eragon across the sea or continent. Its plausible.

'Why the ra'zac didn't kill Katrina'? Maybe because Galby told them not to. Maybe Galby has a plan on her. Maybe the ra'zac would escort Katrina to Galby and he will put her under a spell (just like he'd done to shruikan, murtagh and thorn).
And so then if somehow, Katrina manage to return back to Roran and friends (the Varden and the Carvahal's), Galbatorix would have a spy on them. Maybe Galby wouldn't have to put a spell at all, he just need to say something like, "Help me defeat Eragon, or I'll kill your lover Roran."

Thay didn't kill her because they know that Roran want her back so he will go for her and it's more the obviosly that Eragon will help him. Perfect for catching last Varden dragon rider don't you think?

Maybe there's another land. I mean, it's like Earth. It's not the only planet in the Universe. Maybe there's somewhere else. Another planet. But how does he get there? There are so many questions that remain unanswered. In my opinion, all we need to do is wait, because guessing will probably get us nowhere.
