i think it could be either of those persons swords, its quite possible. Eragon deserves another sword, a good and reliable one, i think Zar'roc always intended to go to Murtagh.
As for Eragon's name i think it could be BRISINGR(sp) as it was his first one in the ancient language and the power it held for him was more intense than it would be for any other new rider, plus it would explain why he tends to use the word alot and it would also explain Eragon's most used and favourite word.

i dont think that its any of those because if the first eragon had a sword for his dragon it would be wite and brom lost his, we dont know what color vraels was, and only one shade killing guy was a rider. i think he learns the name of the ancient language or gets advice from past riders at the rock of KUTHIAN

I think so too, but the rock of Kuthian could be the place where Eragon finds the name of the Ancient Language or if someone dies he could ressurect them or find out his true name, solumbum did say when all seems lost call your name in the open vault of souls. He could even refer to the first Eragon elf so he could maybe ask him advice. I dont know, its only theories.

You know how Ura'bean(sp) changed names after the elves left and the humans took over. Maybe the samething happened to Dras Leona and it used to be Kuthian. Arya might of heard of it in passing many years ago. Therefore the rock of Kuthian would be Helgrind. As has been stated many times The Vault of Souls is probobly where Galbatorix gets his power from
