Yes, they are. The ink can poison the blood, and most the time, the needles arent washed, so they carry all sorts of infection. I'm going with Erais: Dont do it.

It isnt a small chance...if u get a scratch or a bruise, exactly where the needle went, thats ink into your heart. And why the shoulder? For me that would be sorta bad cuz of Rugby and Airsoft.

Oh my goodness lol. lord infamous, we should go get one done together LOL! i dont know, i have 3 years to decide, plus some. where i would get it if i did would be unseeable unless i show it to someone. almost everyone in my family have them.

about the needles: you always make sure the tattoo parlor has papers and stuff like that that say they are clean and you always make sure the room you get tattoed in is as clean as a doctors office. ive had my tongue peirced for 3 years without any major mishaps and i dont regret it(well, sometimes). the parlor i went to, my parents were friends with the guy and i watched him get a new needle and unpackage it. if the needles arent packaged and staralized then leave imediatly. see, ive done my homework!

ink poisoning: if you take real good care of it like i would, then it is a super rare chance. i have talked to loads of ppl and none of them have ever got poisoned from it. anyways, life is short so live it to the fullest, but be careful, you never know what may come your way lol.

i think that getting tattoos are stupid, because if you get one of, say, marylin munroe, and then you didn't get it removed, it could look like a wrinkly elephant when you get old. (i got that thought from MAD magazine, What, Me, Worry??)

I suggest that you wait until youre 30 to 40 that way you know what you want if you get a tatoo.

i don't think tattoos are dumb, but i think you should choose with care. think of the future. i would suggest not getting it someplace to noticeable like your wrist or anything, think of jobs. i want to get some. but i want them to have meaning. i was thinking of doing an anklet of clovers with my moms birth date and death date on it. same for my dad, but something polish.

Hmm my parents discussed the same thing with me. The thing about jobs and stuff. I know that and i was also thinking of getting a tatoo with a heart and the name of my family inside and perhaps my future wife if one ever appears for me.

You dont need to. Ive been to a lot of tatoo parlors and have watched people get tatoos. My dad has one its really cool. it has one large tree one smaller tree and one seedling and it has a crow on the top and a refletion of its watching eyes. its hard to explain but its really cool.
