OCC: Open to anyone, especially dragons and dragon riders. Obviously, this takes place after Natagath is freed from his armored suit and he and his dragon are reunited.

Just some background information about the setting. Danthuania is a continent located just below Alagaesia. It is mostly covered in tropical rainforests with a few desert areas and mountain ranges. It is the homeland of the lightning dragons. Danthuania is a safe haven where dragons are free to roam the land as they once did in Alagaesia. They are highly respected in Danthuania because of the role they played in defeating Danthuania's ruling tyrant, Lethira. Anyway...

IC:
The mountainous, densely forested coastline of Danthuania loomed ahead as Violeta soared over the sea. The wind whipped through her violet and white fur as the dragoness glided along just below the clouds. She had been flying for several hours and was glad to see that the coastline just ahead. On her back was her long-lost Rider, Natagath, who she had only recently been reunited with. He was still pale and pasty due to his skin's lack of exposure to the sun, but he was gradually recovering from his traumatic experience. Violeta had been both shocked and relieved to learn that her Rider was alive. Deciding that it was best for them to lay low for a bit, she had decided to bring Natagath with her to Danthuania. The people of Danthuania had recently opened their boarders to any dragons wishing to escape Galbatorix's wrath in gratitude for the role the dragons played on overthrowing the tyrannicle government.


So that's it... I have never been to another land outside Alagaesia before. This should be an interesting experience. Natagath said as he sat there in the saddle with his arms folded, staring at the dense tropical rainforest that lined the coast.

The air here was hot and humid, unlike back in Alagaesia. Danthuania's climate seemed to be vastly different.

As they flew closer to the coast, Natagath remarked, "I have never seen plants like those before."


There are many things here that you have never seen before. I think you shall enjoy it, Naty. Violeta said with an excited growl as she began to descend from the clouds.
About a minute later, she was gliding just above the surface of the clear blue water, her violet wings outstretched fully. The sunlight dance on the sparkling water and the smell of the sea filled the air around them. Up ahead was the mouth of a great river flowing into the ocean.

Our first stop will be the port of Gringsford. it lies just a little ways up that river. Violeta explained as she headed for the mouth of the river.


"I am looking forward to it. I hope these people are as welcoming as you say they are, Vi." Natagath replied. Though he was certainly looking forward to exploring this new land, he was not sure how the locals would react to seeing an elf, since elves did not live in Danthuania.

OOC: Oo, hope you don't mind if I join with Alna'ir! (She loves exploring!) And if you wanna see any more of my charries, just say so! lol

IC: Na'ir felt her scales prickle along her length, and she flexed her claws in excitement. She was a year old, and her mother had finally agreed to her wishes to travel beyond the borders of Alagaesia. In fact, she was going to explore a place her mother had never been to, but had heard of; the land to the south! Phalynx had received information from Dragon Mountain that this was a safe haven for dragons, but more than that she did not know. Na'ir was going to explore it not just for herself, but for the dragons of the Mountain and her mother as well. A satchel near her hip contained plenty of map-making supplies, one of Na'ir's favorite hobbies. She almost exclaimed aloud in glee when she saw the edge of the landmass ahead. Even at this distance, she could tell it was beautiful. The waters were clear and shining in the sunlight, and most of the land ahead appeared green.

As the blue dragoness drew closer, she began to make out details, including a dragon and rider flying towards the mouth of a river. Na'ir pumped her black and white-streaked wings to catch up with them, thinking they might be the perfect people to talk to if she wanted to know more about this land. Though, they could be from Alagaesia. Finally, she was within mind-speaking distance. Excuse me, are you residents of this land? she questioned politely, diving from her high-altitude position to catch up with them. As she got closer, she could see that the dragoness was female, and covered in violet and white fur! This was certainly a different type of dragon than Na'ir was used to, and she was immediately curious about what type that exactly was.

It is a pleasure to meet you, Alna'ir. If you would like someone to show you around we would be glad to do it. I spent some time here a few years ago. We were just on our way to Port Gringsford. It is just up ahead.

Violeta finally flew over the coastline and glided just above the river.
We should land here. People here may have invited us to their land but they are not yet accustomed to dragons dropping out of the sky. We will walk into the city on foot.
She passed over a grove of palm trees and landed on a dirt road just outside the town.


Natagath got down and strapped his rider sword to his hip. He couldn't believe that he was actually standing on foreign soil. It was an exciting feeling. The elf smiled and reached up, stroking Violeta's shoulder and running his hand through her fur.
"Let's go then. I am most eager to see this new land."

The elf walked alongside his dragon, happily looking at the scenery that surrounded them. He looked up at the palm trees and at the exotic birds that flew among the tree tops.

As they made their way toward the edge of the city, Violeta and natagath told their story to Alna'ir. Violeta explained how she had been separated from her rider during The Fall, her journey to the arctic regions, her adventure in Danthuania, and her return to Alagaesia, where she was eventually reunited with her rider.

Natagath told how he was enslaved by the Empire, tortured, trapped in an armored suit, and then cast aside like a piece of trash. He told how he was eventually freed from his suit with the help of another Rider and then reunited with Violeta.

They finally reached the edge of the city. There was an archway with the name "Gringsford" in elegantly decorated letters over the road. Atop the archway flew the flag of Danthuania. Several ships were docked at the wharf to the left. To the right stood a row of tall buildings several stories high and directly head was a busy street market.

Violeta paused at the gate and turned to Alna'ir.

Let's go into town. Alna'ir, have you ever visited a city before?

OOC: Thanks for the invite, F-14. This looks very interesting actually lol
Well since I'm not currently active with Bahamut, I'll bring him.

The sea seemed to stretch forever as Bahamut flew south. The land of Alagaisia was not the way Bahamut had remembered many millenia ago. The way things had turned out sickened him. So much that he decided to leave to a rumored land existing to the south.

After several hours, Bahamut was becoming agitated. He was hoping to see land at some point and not the edge of the world where it would just simply end and he would have no place to land and rest. However in the distance he spotted something ontop of the water. It was a fishing boat.

Hmph, two legs and their strange contraptions. Bahamut snorted black smoke. Still staring at the litte boat below. He has not had much entertainment since he left Alagaisia. Moment later he flew lower and closer to the two-legs and their floating nest. After he got close enough he let out a bellowing roar the shook the water. The two-legs on the boat jumped off the boat in fear.
Afterwards Bahamut flew away, mood improved.

Finally after another hour of flying he saw land. Suddenly excited he flew faster towards it. Once he found a wide enough clearing, Bahamut extended his legs toward it and landed with a giant thud. Next he folded his wings in and stretched the rest of his body, using his tail as leverage to keep him verticle. After he finished stretching he sat down cross-legged...resting himself.

Bahamut felt slightly exposed in such an open place. Most of the trees in current area were young and small...so he stuck out majorly. Still, it was doubtful that anything close would dare approach him. To make sure nothing would, he stood up once more and let out a loud roar that caused all birds and animals nearby ran away in different directions. Satisfied, Bahamut sat back down to rest.

OOC: Sorry I haven't replied yet. I've been kinda sick lately.

IC: Na'ir nodded solemnly at Violeta's and Natagath's words. Galbatorix was one threat enough, but the mention of Crimson almost made her hiss involuntarily. She had not faced the dark elf herself yet, but her mother and father's stories were horrifying; the way he enslaved minds to form his army. One of her mother's friends, Quasar, had even been killed by him. The blue did not wish to ever have to face him, but if her friends or family were ever put in danger by him, she would not hesitate.

She smiled when Violeta suggested they get some sleep before leaving for the Amber Mountains. Na'ir was very glad to be thinking of other, better things now. If she wished to become a great explorer and cartographer when the wars ended, this was the perfect way to start. The governor shortly retreated to his home. Thanks again for all your help. I'm very grateful you're letting me tag along, Na'ir spoke to Violeta and Natagath with a warm smile. She found a warm place to curl up, and soon her bright green eyes closed in sleep.

Violeta was uncomfortable with the big dragon's presence and she was prepared to fire a stream of lightning at him at the first sign of him turning hostile. However, she resolved to only use that as a last resort. The large dragon had failed to answer her question though, and Violeta found that irritating.

OCC: Short post...

Violeta's suggestion peaked his interest. The Valley of Fire... it sounds fitting to me. What direction would it be?

Bahamut snorted. Well then its settled for me then. That's where I intend to go.
Without a farewell, Bahamut turned around and extended his wings out and flew to the direction he was told.


OOC:Gonna hop out of the RP for now. Since Bahamut is going by himself. So feel free to skip me for now....Ill pop back into the RP once im not so dry for ideas.

Violeta watched as the massive dragon flew off and said to her companions, As long as he doesn't terrorize innocent people I have no problem with hm being here. I hope he finds what he wants. We should move on now.

The violet dragoness quickly gained speed as she flew onward toward a mountain range in the distance.
Those are the Cresna Mountains. Johnston Fort lies in the foothills of those mountains. Violeta explained as she glided over the dense jungle below.

Natagath held onto the saddle and watched as they passed a flock of brightly colored birds. This place was gorgeous. He turned his gaze toward the mountains ahead that were looming ever higher as they approached. He spent the remainder of the afternoon chatting with his dragon and Na'ir and finally, as the sun was begining to set in the west, the travelers came upon the trading post. Johnston Fort consisted of several log buildings and huts surrounded by a stone wall. Violeta flew in low and landed just outside the fort.
"So this is it. It looks like a nice place. the elf commented as he hopped down off the saddle. "I think I'm gonna do some trading. You two have fun! Natagath said to the dragons as he took off through the gate.

The violet paused and looked at her surroundings. The fort was nestled in a small valley with densely forested mountains looming behind it. Smoke rose slowly from the chimneys of the log buildings. Traders and merchants milled about inside the fort. As Violeta walked through the front gate, she asked Na'ir, Are you going to bring other dragons back to Danthuania after your scouting mission is done?

The night was peaceful but it seemed to pass quickly for Natagath, who was eager to get moving. When morning came, the elf found himself stuck at the fort for an hour while Violeta went out hunting. While he was waiting, Natagath went to the general store and purchased a brass compass that matched his new spyglass. Before the Fall, Riders usually carried a basic set of navigational tools with them. Natagath also purchased a couple bottles of the local wine as well. Finally his friends returned from their morning hunt and it was time to plan the next leg of the route.

Opening the map, Natagath pointed to a large city called Illia and said, "This looks like a good place to stop for the day.

Violeta looked at the map and said to Natagath and Na'ir, Illia is Danthuania's capital. We could stop there for a day or so if you wish to look around. They have a huge library there.


"Very well. We shall make Illia today's destination. Let's be off then." Natagath said, folding the map back up and sticking it back in Violeta's saddle bag. He climbed onto her back and bucked the straps around his ankles.

OOC: Hm. A steam engine could be a little too advanced for this world, F-14. We want to keep technology in the middle-ages range.

IC: Na'ir listened eagerly as more information was revealed. She even jotted a few notes down on some paper she was using as a place to put information about the culture and country itself, that could not be found on a map. When the King and Violeta finished speaking, she moved forward slightly. I hope it wouldn't be too forward of me to make a few requests on behalf of my people, King Huron. I'd like to know if you have maps of the entirety of Danthuania, as well as more specific areas, that I could keep for myself. I'm afraid I don't really have a way of paying you, unless you want shed dragon scales or something, she asked with a smile, trying her best to sound formal and polite. She wanted to make a good first impression and do her job as explorer and ambassador for the Dragon Mountain. Through her entire life (as short as it was) she had wanted nothing more than to be an explorer and adventurer, and this was an excellent start.

OCC: DOn't worry. It's not even going to have a big part in the RP. Besides, if you'd like, I could make something "conveniently" happen to it. After all, there are still plenty of cult scumbags looking to cause chaos and anarchy!

IC:

"Is there anything you will be requiring?" asked King Huron.

"We'd like to visit the library." Natagath replied.

"Of course. It is located in that big white building with the brick columns in the front." the king replied, pointing to a large building near the palace.

Kind Huron asked, "Just so you know, you are all welcome to stay here at the palace for as long as you please."

"I am not sure that dragons would fit inside." Natagath said to the others. "These buildings probably weren't designed with dragons in mind."


If you see any books or scrolls that we would be interested in then you could just bring them back to the palace. After all, we will be staying here for the exposition. Violeta explained.

She honestly had no idea what kind of books were in the library.



Natagath asked Na'ir. When I go in there, is there any subject in particular you want me to look for?

OOC: Alright. Like I said in the Chat section, as long as it doesn't do anything too advanced it's perfectly fine.

IC: Na'ir looked back and forth between Natagath, Violeta, and the King, thinking over all the information she was about to acquire. A library visit, an informational exposition; it was perfect! She would learn everything she came to learn and more! She smiled when Natagath asked what subjects she'd like to pursue. Well, as much as you can get on the geography and culture of Danthuania, and history also, and possibly relation to other countries and especially the history of dragons within the country. I hope that's not too much to ask, she replied with a sheepish grin, already planning on spending long hours absorbed in reading.
