Okay this is more like advice for me instead of a chat thingy, but I'll take everyone's comments.

Okay let's say I like this girl, she's my age and way outta my league, and I'm kinda in a position where I can't actually meet her face to face, yet, just from a distance. But I really, really want to get a date with her, but finances are almost completely preventing that. Does anyone have any suggestions or do you need more info, or what?

Well, no, I don't think she is aware of my existence, you see she goes to our towns other high school, where my friend goes, which is how I kind of know her, but we both agree, she is why outta our league, as far we can tell.

Anyway, that's why I was wondering how do you approach a girl like that, who is most likely used to fancy things, when you're just an ordinary boy and don't exactly look hot?

Go up to her and give her a random compliment. That will make her notice you, and make her feel good. But don't go up to her and yelled "YOUR HAWT!!!"

for some reason don't think that'll work. She is definitely the kinda girl that has that said to her all the time. And I bet it just passes through one ear and out the other.

Did i mention I HATE poetry and CAN't write it. I almost completely failed that unit in English, except that on the last day it was accepted, it already overdue, inspiration stuck and I pulled out an A+. I almost had a heart attack when I got my grade.

I'll give it a try, but till the inspiration strikes, any more ideas? I'm making this hard aren't I?

no, but I want to learn, also i can't really sing on key, I was told by my choir teacher, and I wasn't allowed to go to one of our concert because of that.

Hmm... well I would figure out a way to get to know her a bit. Get an idea about what she's like as a person and go from there. =]

it has helped, nothing's happened yet, but I've got some things planned and setting some stuff in motion so, hopefully, it'll all pay off. I appreciate everyone's input, but I think I can handle it from here. If not you'll hear from me soon enough

I got only one advice for you my friend....
You have to learn some things about her before you talk to her (or make any other movement) so if you go to talk to her you can talk at a subject that she is interest in OR you can move to an other subject (That she is interest about ALWAYS)..........
There is one trup... Don't try to much cause she will understand that you went over there studed....

Simple:

Ask her if she wants to come to a party with you. If she refuses, watch your back. If she agrees, go for it.
