"Eragon" was truly great, but "Eldest" just stunned me - it was soooo good!

The whole series is good, and Eragon has a great, smooth storyline. I loved eldest except for the multicharacter style plot. But they're both 10/10 starts from me.

You're right about the multicharacter plot. It was quite annoying. BUT as the story went on it made things even more exciting.
"Eragon" was more like an adventure story or smth. I'd compare it to "The Hobbit". And the eldest to the LOTR trilogy.
I wonder how thick and how exciting the third book might be... oh..

Definitely, though he should consider just telling the story from one perspective again. :/

I personally like Eragon better cause it had Brom in it...he was awesome...but Eldest was wonderful. Especially with the plot twist with Murtagh and all.

Eragon, because it explained tons of stuff about magic without boring the reader. Or at least me. And it had Brom. But it's a close run, cause Eldest was awesome with the plot twists.

I like Eldest better, but Eragon was a great biginning, and the reason I read the second book.
