That's the point!! why if saphira blue so eragon sword should be blue too?? Morzan once held zar'roc and zarroc is red. If u wan't to matched with the dragon color that morzan's dragon should be red too! If morzan dragon red, the probability of some pattern similarity could have repeated again and both sword and dragon can be on the same color but again, it's so much of coinsidence.

Brom said the Elves made thier sword so they matche dthe color of thier dragons... so ERagons sword should be Blue, but didnt the person who made all the riders swords say that she wouls never make a wepon again? So either She gives in and makes eragon a sword, Eragon gets his sword from somewhere elese,or he dosent get a new sword

It's likely, but I don't think Eragon should keep getting second hand swords. He should have a sword made especially for him, with a name personal to him, and his own symbol. It must be annoying getting other people's hand-me-downs all the time!

I think it will be what ever colour Brom's was. It says in book two that Brom lost his sword, and in book one it says to look in the roots of the Menoa tree for a weapon. My theory is that Brom lost his sword by the menoa tree, and that it was indeed blue, seeing as Saphira sounds like saphire which is blue, hence Brom's Saphira was a blue dragon.

I said this in another topic and I'll say again in this one, I think that IF the weapon under the tree is a sword, then it won't be Brom's, because Eragon would still have a hand-me-down weapon and he deserves one that is his own. I'm sticking to my idea that if it is a sword, then is was made by the dragons that healed and transformed Eragon during the elves' Blood Celebration thing, a sword that is above even the elven made swords the original Riders carried. Just my thoughts though.

That is also and interesting idea, the weapon under the menoa tree could be anything. It says in the book to look under the menoa tree when you need a weapon. Eragon could take another sword.
I have a theory that the weapon under the menoa tree will only be revealed at the very end o need, say if Galbatorix flys out to Elessmera to confront Eragon, and Eragons sword breaks, that would be cool if the weapon was revealed then.

Yet another good theory. I agree to the fact that Eragon should get his own, new sword (which I also said somewhere). Then again, solembum did just say when you need a sword. He needs a sword now, and you are right, he could just get another sword, but that doesn't mean he doesn't need one now.

She also says that Brom begged her to make him another sword after his was lost. I KNOW WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT, LOOK IT UP IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE ME AND BE PROVEN WRONG! Lost could also refer to being broken, but what are the chances that it would be found again? Eragon deserves his own sword.

So, while Eragon's sword may be formed from fragments of Brom's old sword, it doen't seem likely to me. I still think it will be a blue sword original to him.

I do not think Eragon's new sword will belong to just any other Rider. If it is to be, then I imagine it would have belonged to someone powerful.

Almost everyone agrees it may be the 1st Eragons sword. I think it is possible because of the similarieties between the two.

Just keep in mind that so far CP has tied the color of the dragon with the color of the magic of the rider and in the past the color of the Rider's blade. Since Eragon at this point, has no blade many of us are speculating that the sword under the Menoa Tree once belonged to the 1st Eragon, and that it may have had a blue blade. We have to wait, and see. There goes that horrible word again, wait, wait, wait.

I'm sure the first Eragon had a white dragon, therefore a white sword. He can't have a blue first eragon's sword, because it must be white. I stick by my theory that he will receive a new sword, specially for him.
