Maybe brom is eragons dad

my dad thinks eragon is Galbotrix's son but i totally disaggree with him. if they were half brothers then brom would so be the father. but the only reason why i say that is becuz he said he knew his mother relly well and i kinda took it that he liked her

I say that they are full brothers because Murtagh said that they had the same parents.

I still believe that there is a possibility of Brom being Eragon's dad. So that would make Murtagh Eragon's half-brother.
Or maybe CP is trying to make the point that no matter how evil the rest of your family is, one with the same blood can turn out to be the total opposite.

i think its definatly possibe there half brothers because eragon never knew his dad and you know it could just be a cowindesece( very baldy spelled) that there mothers had the same name

...i totally think brom could be eragons father. murtagh and the twins are simply going on a name.

a---it could be a diffrent woman, same name. (eragon doesn't know his mother is dead for sure)
b---she didn't want to be with that mad man anymore. hooked up with brom, went back to protect eragon, but could not get over her love. morzan sees this change, a declares she betrayed him, so he has her killed.

i know cp and eragon and murtague are half brothers because their mothers are selena but eragons dad is brom and morzan his blood is of both of them and that's the real reason why brom killed morzan because he thought morzan was going to kill selena until he found out that both brom and morzan are eragon's dad and something extra is that selena is still alive she's hiding at the vault of souls which is in helgrind near the ra zacs lair

I THINK THIER HALF BROTHERS!

While I can't prove Brom is Eragon's Father, I can say that Morzan is not Eragon's father. I think Eragon and Murtag are half-Brothers because of what the Raven, Bladgen said to Eragon that would reveal who's father sired Eragon. The riddle went as follows.

While two may share two
And one of two is certainly one
One might be two

The raven's riddle can be interpreted as follows:

While two <Children> may share two <Parents>
And one <Child> of two <Parents> is certainly one <legitiment child>
One <Mother> might be <The mate of> two <Different Fathers>

This would go to show that Eragon and Morzan are indeed, Half-brothers.

We can only guess who had an affair with Selena to sire Eragon, but my guess would be Brom. Brom told Eragon that he knew his mother well enough to miss her when she was gone, In addition, the 7 words that Brom told Eragon before he died might have been Eragon's true name, which he need to open the vault of soles.
