Angela said that Eragon is doomed to leave Alagasia and never return, no mater how much he tries to avoid it, it will always come true. So I wonder what or why makes him leave and never come back.

Some people think the Menoa tree will make Eragon part from his dragon and leave Alagasia.

What do you think about that idea?

I dont think so, one because i believe that she already took from eragon what she wanted when he felt that small twinge in his lower belly. I think that if he Marries Arya since Ilanzadi could die that could make Arya Queen of the elves which could also make Eragon king? idk there's alot of could's and if's in there but "IF" they did maybe they'll leave to Aylea the homeland of the elves to rule over.

Maybe Eragon doesn't leave Alagasia and that in his dream he is seeing his own death. That would be the same as leaving Alagasia and never returning. I know in another topic I said it would be unlikely for Arya to die, but maybe she will die, along with Eragon. And Roran is crying because Eragon is dead.

And there's Eragon and Arya are on a boat to the underworld.

Maybe they change the name of Alagaesia: just so they can cleanse the name of galbatorix from it forever.. that would be somewhat like leaving it forever.

Is Veronguard part of Alagasia? Because if it isn't Eragon could leave to there.

Unfortunately we dont know that when asked about that Cp just said no comment.

If he said 'no comment', there is probably a good chance Arya and Eragon will travel there. But I can't explain why Roran is crying on the beech though.

Eragon has to leave and NEVER come back, that's what I remember anyway though.

That's a very good question - we'll need to get the die hard Eragon fans in! I guess he'll leave soon after he murders Galbatorix.

Remember in his dream, that was someone else? Well that person I think is Arya. There was also someone on the beach, injured I think - maybe that's Roran. But I wonder why Eragon has to leave and never come back... probably have to wait till Book Four comes out.

Also Remember That since it doesnt say when he'll leave exactly, that since he basically can live indefinately he could basically stay in Alagaesia for thousands of years before he (either died) or decided that he wanted to find the other dragons..

I think though that he'll leave at the end of Book Four, that'll make the ending probably.

Remember however that we were given that CP at least 2 more inheritance books planned out, Set after they have defeated Galby.

Yes And the books supposed to be based on what happens after Galbatorix is defeated which will include Eragons dealings with other people.

@Pandaemon. Renember Nasuada said the Urgals love war so even though they've defeated Galbatorix and given the Urgals they're land - they'll still attack. So in these two books there's probably not going to be much war - apart from the Urgal's maybe.

If there is two more books after Book Four - then I'm going to guess Eragon leaves in the end of the very, very last book.

When Oromis says that her predictions aren't true, I dont think that he means that they are completely false. More that they can be interpreted in a different way. I mean look at Solembum's prediction with the bright steel, it wasnt a weapon neccesarily more the basis for a weapon..

I have a good idea. Let's say Murtagh lives after the down fall of Galby and Eragon becomes ruler. Some people though might be trying get rid of Eragon. So I think it'll end like this... An assassin comes into Uru'bean - where Eragon is and finds Eragon. The assassin is about to throw a knife at Eragon when suddenly Murtagh jumps in front of it. The assassin runs away and Murtagh says to Eragon that he haves to leave before it it too late. Anyway he leaves to elf land along with Arya and blah blah blah...

Not Neccesarily, Alot of what Cp does is wordplay for example when he was releasing the info about the 4th book title "that it would be something Eragon would inheritate" and then to name the book Inheritance? thats ridiculous haha so changing the name of Alagaesia could work.

What good things could he leave for - I agree with you but just wondering because he could end up leaving to explore the rest of the world, and that's not bad..... Unless he meets Sauron or some other bad folk......

Unfortunately there arent enough urgals to take on Alagaesia, Eragon could crush whats left of there forces wit Impunity.

And they'll probably agree to the terms Nasuada gives them - so Eragon must leave another way - somehow...

The Hadarc isn't out of Alagaesia because when you look at the inside the book and see the map of Alagaesia you see the Beors, The Hadarc and all the other places.

I don't think that any one will force him to leave. He is destined to leave by fate, but it will be his choice. And the choice will be made due to Saphira.
He promised her that he would help her find other dragons. And I think that would be Alalëa(the elven lands). I think that it was there Eragon the first and Bid'Daum left to.

Why does he have to leave though! He has to leave by fate but why!? This is really bugging me as it must be something quite bad he has to leave for.

Saphira means the world to Eragon. And she wants to see the dragon race return. Eragon could never just sit by and see her being all sad and misery.

Because of that they will have to leave. Fate brought Eragon and Saphira together. They have to live after that ^^

But there will be more dragons, Greenie and that. And maybe Ersagon could turn the Elundenari back into dragons if he gets the power...
