OOC: lol how about I describe everything in this post (and time fastforward) so that you all know what everything looks like? (If you want to know more, this is pretty much the reverse of the journey Phal went on in my fanfic.)

IC: Temias shook his head, his eyes narrowed and his face set. I'm not stopping or resting. I'll fly as long as I have to when my friends are in danger, he growled, though Phal could tell his growl was not directed at Elcyon. He, like she, was angry at the creatures that had attacked their friends, and desired their annihilation.

An expanse of water greeted them as they lifted over the oasis, for the Burning Sun Sea was directly to the north. They flew out over it, gaining height. Phal led them up until she felt a very strong wind from the south guiding them forward. The powerful currents of warm air heading north would make their flight swift and short; probably less than a day. They would arrive some time that night, if her calculations were correct. Most of the flight was silent. They were too focused and serious about the task at hand to say more than a few words. Temias was almost completely mute.

They arrived on the northern shores of the Sea during late afternoon. A huge savanna greeted them, filled with an abundance of grazing and hunting creatures. Phal saw a herd of large gray animals, and remembered the elephants she had seen here in the past. She decided that a little food would do everyone well.

Phal dove down and caught five antelopes, and flapped back up. Her large wings and small body enabled her to carry a great deal of weight compared to her size, but she was still rather slow and awkward with five prey items. Here, we can eat these on the wing. It's best to get as much energy as possible, she said, knowing the others would probably agree. She handed out her catch amongst the others.

As they continued to fly, distant mountains, almost as tall as the Beors, could be seen, though their silhouettes were unusually green. The savanna was being broken more frequently by small forests, and by sunset, the land had become dramatically more hilly as they entered the foothills. The mountains, which were covered in thick jungle except for their gigantic peaks, were looming in front of them. Only a few more hours, everyone. It shouldn't be much longer, Phal announced.

OOC: It's your turn, Aeraldi. I really would like to get this one all the way to completion and get to the twist ending.

OOC: Sorry, my bad.

Aeraldi thought against eating for a moment, but he knew he should. The amount he used to eat seemed massive to the amounts he ate now, but maybe that was because he wasn't eating for two bodies now. Not that it mattered.
He had to admit that, although he had never met Temias, he did like the dragon. His determination was something to be admired, though his strength was lacking.
As for the flight though, he hadn't had much to say. The expanse of water beneath them, how it changed to a mountain range, then changing again and again. It did seem slightly familiar though, as if he was experiencing the feeling the two-legs called Deja vu. Every time he looked at the tattoos on Temias' wings also gave that feeling. He should have remembered something about it by now, but nothing came to mind. No flashes of memory or anything. Feeling frustrated at the fact he couldn't place it, he decided to ask about it,
Temias, those inscriptions you have on your wings. Where do they come from?

Thank you. Equinox said to Phal as he begun to eat his antelope while flying. He looked down at the terrain as it flew under them. The terrain was odd to him, he hadn't been this far out before. He sniffed the air to see if he could smell anything familiar. He felt odd, sort of out of place. He was flying with a group of dragons that have been a big part of Alagaesia, while he felt like he had done little to aid what was going on.
Where exactly are we? he asked I've never been this far our? he said observing the scenery. He looked down at the ground, he had only felt so out of place once and that was when he just came out of hiding, back when he was only used to his own little secluded part of the world.

Phal handed off the antelopes one-by-one, glad that everyone had decided that eating was the wise choice. She tore into hers, scanning the approaching mountains for landmarks. The winds could have easily carried them a little far to the east or west, but she thought it looked right, for now.

Temias, wishing he was stronger for the flight, glanced back at Aeraldi when he asked about the markings. These are my Kallek Marks. The best warriors, the elders, and dragons who have done great things for our Tribe recieve them, and more as they do more. The paint is made from a magical crystal, so these marks have special properties, he answered, glad to take his mind farther from the terrible memories of the fight.

Phal looked over at Temias and Aeraldi when they talked about the markings. Speaking of Kallek Marks, I have some too, but they only reflect ultraviolet light. I'm the only one who can see them, but I can make them glow for you, she said, stretching her wings and illuminating the intricate striping on the tips, As for their special properties, I recently found out that they store energy over very long periods of time, energy that can be used in emergencies. Temias nodded in reply. But the efficient energy storing only works when the crystals are made into paint. I don't know where or when we started using this, he added.

Phal thought for a moment of the geography of the area when Equinox asked where they were. Directly to the east of the Hadarac is the Burning Sun Sea, and south of that is the Scorched Lands, which you have seen. These mountains are adjacent to Du Weldenvarden, but because of the fertile soil and warm air from the south, jungles grow in the mountains rather than forests. In between these mountains and mine is the Red Desert, a place with enchantments on it that cause travelers to get lost. South of the Desert and in between the Edda River and the Burning Sun Sea are plains and sparse, dry forests. That's what I know about the eastern lands, at the moment, Phal replied with a smile.

As Temias explained about the markings, and Phalynx showed hers, Aeraldi's memory came back. The suddenness of the memory nearly making him fall out of the sky.

Who am I? Aeraldi wondered. He had done things, terrible things, though he wasn't in control of his actions at the time. But I could have stopped him, I could have made him stop! It's my fault! He had not been the same since he couldn't save the eggs and not tried to control the body for years. But he watched the events play out, and he watched as the dragons were killed one after one. Then watched as the 'other' took out his rage on anything that moved.
So here Aeraldi sat, watching events play out. Watching as they crossed an expanse of water to get away from the events happening within Alagaesia.
Aeraldi simmered slowly, his rage burning itself out. He hadn't had an incident with his other for years now and he began wondering if he would ever come back. For all the times he fought with him for control, he was actually starting to miss the battle that raged within him when he came.
Aeraldi shook his head of the thoughts, he had control of his body now and that's all he wanted. He looked down at the ground, taking in everything he could see. That was when he saw them, lots of dragons flying in a small area. He was sure there were more that he couldn't see but they were dragons. And they had funny shapes on their wings. Aeraldi almost laughed, dragons with markings. It wouldn't help them in a fight, but he decided to find out what these dragons were like. He angled down, letting gravity take him to his goal.

Aeraldi regained his posture and continued flying. No wonder that he didn't recognize it at first. It was one of the first times he had left Alagaesia to see the different lands, though the land of his awakening seemed to call him back. It wasn't much worth mentioning anyway, the dragons he knew then would probably be dead by now.

OOC: Oh! How long ago is this flashback? 'Cause I know how old the oldest dragons in the Tribe are.

OOC: This was during the Du Fyrn Skulblaka, when elves attacked the Dragons. So, before the elves were riders.

OOC: According to the books, that was only like 3,000 years ago. This could be very interesting, indeed.

Equinox looked over at Elcyon when she brushed her wingtip against him. He smiled at her, he was glad for her company. He lightly brushed his head against hers, glad that she was near. How are you? he asked Elcyon. He looked down at the scenery and back up, feeling a bit better. He wanted to help the tribe even though he didn't know much about them, he still wanted to help them, even if it meant a battle. Have I become nothing but a war machine? Just a dragon who hungers for battle? he asked himself. He shook his head, he knew better than that, he wasn't like Dsurion... he hopped anyway.
He did feel better in Elcyon's presence though, so he didn't bring the matter up with her, or any of the other three. He focused his energy on more important things, like trying to help the tribe against these shadow creatures.
You know a lot about them. I's never been this far east, I've spent most of my time around the north west. Equinox replied. How much farther away is the tribe? he asked Phal.
Equinox looked over, and saw Aeraldi almost fall out of the sky, but soon he recovered himself What happened? Are you alright? Equinox asked him.

Phal jerked with alarm as Aeraldi's flight twitched and his wings stuttered in flight. He had obviously remembered something about his past, and Phal was immediately curious. What is it, Aeraldi? What do you remember? she questioned, flying closer to him with a look of intent interest on her face. Temias floated a little closer as well to hear.

Phal glanced at Elcyon and Equinox when they both questioned their proximity to the Tribe. We're very close. Their cliffs are just over this mountain, so about three to five minutes, she replied, gazing forward. A mass of something was in the valley on the other side of the mountain, and whatever it was was made up of a lot of heat and shadow magic.

Everyone, start flying higher. We have to hide ourselves above the clouds before whatever these creatures are spot us. Go! she cried, angling her body upwards and flapping her wings powerfully. Once they were safely amongst the clouds, Phal gazed down as they passed the mountain. Below was a valley with a sheer, high cliff lining the northern edge. A river flowed through it, and caves lined the cliffside. Above the huge cliff, the rest of the mountain rose. Phal drew in a sharp intake of breath when she saw the creatures below.

OOC: I shall describe the beasties in my next post. I know we talked about them a little, Astral, but I thought of a really freaky physical design. I hope you don't mind.

Aeraldi appreciated the concern that the rest showed. I'm fine, really. I experience memories from time to time, some more violently than others. The tattoos on Temias have been tickling my memory since I saw them and with the explanation I finally remembered. I've met your people before Temias, though it was many years ago. When I was a different dragon. Aeraldi continued flying, unfazed. It's not painful, though it sometimes takes me away from where I am now. Even when flying. He said with humor, a small grin appearing on his face. Though when they passed the mountain, all of his good humor disappeared. There was nothing to smile about here.

OOC: Not quite sure what you have planned so I'll wait.

Equinox looked at Elcyon and lowered his head in sympathy, You will always be yourself Elcyon. You cannot change that. he said and smiled at her. He then looked away and replied, I don't know... I fear I am turning into a war machine. I used to hate battle but now... it seems like I'm looking forward to it. I don't know what to think, I never enjoyed battle... I'm turning into what Crimson thinks of all dragons, war machines. I still hate battle but... it seems like I enjoy killing, when I fight... I don't know... he said.
When he heard Phal shout go, Equinox flew strait up after them over the mountains. He looked down at the feild below them. He gave a gasp, but said nothing else.

Phalynx shuddered. No. These are... far worse, she replied to Elcyon, her voice small. Below them, through the clouds, she beheld a horror of horrors. Something she immediately winced at the sight of, something she was afraid to face, even if it meant saving dozens of lives to do so. She had never seen creatures like these.

The creatures were basely humanoid in shape, but large; about ten feet tall. Their shoulders and upper backs were hunched over. They were covered in black, leathery skin. Their arms were extremely long, almost touching the ground, and disproportionately huge and muscular. Their faces were like a two-leg's, but with slightly longer jaws filled with hundreds of long, needle-like teeth, grouped in many rows like a shark's. Their eyes were huge, and glowed an evil green. The most dangerous physical weapons they possessed, however, were their claws. The claws on their hands were each about four to five feet long, shaped like huge swords, and easily sharp enough to cut through dragon scale. Phal knew immediately that they were the things that had created the ugly wounds on Temias.

Their appearance was bad enough, but Phal knew immediately that these creatures were not always evil. They had been corrupted somehow by the shadows. She recognized the pointed ears; the slightly angled features; these were once elves.

Phal also saw the reason for their corruption almost at once, as soon as she looked inside them. You can all go below the clouds, but just to look. I don't want them seeing us yet, she said, and waited for her friends to all get a look at the horrible creatures. Can you tell what they were? These were elves... and they are being controlled. Inside each of them is a tiny shadow beast, with miniscule tendrils threading throughout the entire body of the creature; through its blood vessels. These are monsters, she explained in a pained voice.

OOC: If you were picturing the face how I am... *shudders* These critters scare me. I hate the face (how I imagine it) and I hate the claws.

OOC: Yeech, those things are beyond messed up.

Aeraldi shuddered when Phalynx explained what these creatures were and what was inside them. I've never seen corruption so foul, even from the Shadow Realm. He wanted to say more, but the words he thought of couldn't describe what he was feeling. As he used his sight to view the camp closer, he almost lost his lunch.
Within a small pit at the edge of town, behind a small hill, the corpses of dragons lay unburied and piled upon each other. Their bodies broken and their faces twisted in agony. He stopped looking and shut his eyes as tight as he could, but the image still remained buried in his mind. They were slaughtering his race.

Equinox looked over at her and smiled True, it just seems the more we battle the worst everything gets. he said. He knew he couldn't let Crimson's words get to him. He shook his head and as Phal said he took a quick dip under the clouds to see what the creautres were. It horrified him. He had never seen anything like them before. How did that happen? How did the shadow creatures get so much control over them? he asked Phal and Aeraldi wondering if they would know.

OOC: Heehee, Draco's scared of her own imagination. I'm just kidding but yeah, creepers! lol.

IC:

Elcyon knew hardly anything ever scared Phal and if these creatures were creeping her out this much, they were a force to be reckoned with. She trembled a little just what Phalynx described to them. She knew something about the shadows, but now they were able to manipulate people?

I'm not going below the clouds, I don't even want to look at them, she whispered to Phal. They're becoming even stronger than before...I've never seen something as evil as these.

Phal... Elcyon breathed. The shadow magic...it's...I can't get too close, she murmured to her friend in private-speak. It's somehow touching the darkness within me...I can feel it slowly manipulating it even t this far of a distance. I don't know if I should approach any farther for fear of turning...

OOC: Sorry it took me so long.

IC: Equinox looked down at the creatures and snarled visously, he wanted to fly down and avenge them for whoever was the cause for it. Though force of will he stopped from flying right down. He stared down, and looked at Elcyon, he himself wasn't sure if he wanted to go down to those creatures, but he knew he should at least when they did. He had never seen anything like it in his life. Equinox listened to what Aeraldi said, he shivered slightly when he thought of it again, but was glad that at least this was the worst he saw, and that their was a chance he himself wouldn't see anything worse, or these things again.

Equinox shook his head, he wanted to help everyone that was suffering. He knew it would be hard to help them, but he wanted to. Besides, he knew what it felt like to be controled by another being, even if it wasn't to this horrible extent.

Aeraldi had followed with urgency and a small amount of curiosity. He had to admit as well that he hated caves. In his experience, bad things always happened when he entered any cave that wasn't just an opening in a hillside. Aeraldi shook his head of such thoughts and concentrated on what was ahead.
After Phalynx and Temias broke through the wall, he was surprised at how quickly the dragons came pouring through the caves to meet them. Not to mention just how many there were hiding out here. When the leader, Chief Kasiya, looked at him he didn't know what to say. Those accursed markings kept ringing furiously within his mind, never letting up yet not giving the memories. It felt like a sneeze that just wouldn't come.
I'm Aeraldi, don't worry I'm on your side. He said back to her. Again, those markings.

OOC: I just thought of something cool to do with the tattoos, I'll PM you with the idea.

Equinox landed just behind Aeraldi and Phal. He used them to hide behind, he felt odd being in front of so many dragons he didn't even know. He looked around at them, slightly hesitant to be here.

OOC: Short, I can't really think of much for Equinox right now.

OOC: Don't worry, we shall be out of the caves quite soon. You'll probably only have to skip one, maybe two more times at most.

IC: Phal smiled and nodded her head. Don't worry. We shall soon be out of these caves, and then we can form a plan of attack, she said encouragingly. When Aeraldi spoke, though, Kasiya seemed to become startled. Aeraldi? No, it couldn't be... yet why do you look like him? she mumbled, shaking her head. She looked decidedly up again. I once knew a dragon named Aeraldi. But he was smaller, and his scales were black. However, other than color and size, he looked a lot like you. Are you related to him? Or are you him in another form? she asked the gray, her eyes lit with determination. Phal was startled, and glanced from her mate to the Chief. Kasiya seemed hungry for information.

The Chief nodded before she started moving. I'll hold you to that, Aeraldi. I want to know what's happened since I saw you last, she said. She then turned to the assembled dragons. Everyone, we shall follow Phalynx, Aeraldi, and their friend out of these caves. Stay close together. Strongest at the back. We shall formulate a plan of attack when we are safe. Let's go, she said in an authoratative voice. While she was speaking, Phal had turned to Aeraldi. I want to know this story of yours as well, so remember to tell me when this is over, she said with a smile.

Phal turned back to face the Tribe, her smile still remaining encouragingly on her face. Just follow us, and we'll get to a safer place, she told them with a nod of her head. She turned around and began to walk out of the cavern, heading down the tunnel confidently. There were no creatures in their way, and the monsters had not yet breached the part of the tunnels where the Tribe had been taking refuge. She increased her pace when she saw that everyone had started moving.

OOC: Don't worry, Astral. No more skipping; we're coming out of the caves.

OOC: You too DD.

Aeraldi knew he had a long story to explain, but for now he moved his way down the tunnel with the other refugees. Leading them to the exit. He stopped at a crossroad type cave, pointing the refugees down the path to the left. The way out. He thought on his memories of the tribe, and what he had done to them as well as for them.
Did I really commit those atrocities? He thought to himself. Was I really that hungry for battle? He shook his head of the thoughts, blocking the path that would lead to some unknown destination. He continued to guide the others through the cave when another thought hit him. He opened his mind to Phalynx; Where are we taking them after we get them out? Most of these Dragons have never even heard of shadow-spawn before and I don't want to risk any more of them getting... Infected with what is in the others.

OOC: lol I just wanted to let you know; these dragons are very much warriorlike. They have to fight other critters all the time and are known for being fierce in battle. They just aren't used to dark critters. Just sayin'.

OOC: Sorry, I'll change.

OOC: We can wait a little while for him.

OOC: Well, since Dark has announced his plans to 'take a break', should we skip him here?

OOC: I agree with that, someone will have to control his character though.

OOC: WHOO!!!! DD's back!!! O.o random outburst... Okay, here comes Elcyon!!!
IC:

Elcyon found a mountain to land on for the time being while her friends went to check out the caves below. She felt so miserable that she couldn't even so much as approach the caves without feeling the affect of the shadows on her. Deep within her being, El could feel the evil grow, pushing the kind El out. It would have been even more difficult to keep the curse contained if she had joined Phal, Aeraldi, and Equinox in the caves but the air around the high mountain was clear, and she was able to keep her mind off the creatures far below, and their darkness. While they were away, El thought about what lay ahead of her and her friends, what they were going to have to do. And she wondered if they would ever meet Rigel again, she had so many questions she wanted to ask him...She also reminded herself to go back to the cave she and Phal explored with all of the paintings stashed away, so that when she created a library for dragon-kind everywhere, she would have a place for the paintings so that history wouldn't be lost.

As she thought about all of thes things, El heard some commotion below. She peered off the face of the mountain to see Phal leading out a group of dragons. She smiled and called out to her friend so that she would know where to find El, and then asked, So what's going on? What's the plan?

Equinox followed them deeper into the cave. Something odd about it made him shiver, but he was sure everything thing would be alright. He greeted the dragons when Phal told them his name. He looked around to see if Elcyon would enter the caves. He knew a battle was going to come most likely. He was excited and nervous. He had never fought shadow creatures before.

Equinox stayed back abit at the sight of so many other dragons. He was used to being in groups of up to ten, but he still wasn't used to such large gatherings of dragons, he was thankfull they weren't humans. Though he did have a lot more trust, he still hated being in large groups of them, a fact he tried to keep hidden from everyone. He looked back and saw Elcyon hadn't entered the mountain, Are you alright? he asked her. He wanted to help heal the injured dragons, but he hadn't tried healing for awhile, and wasn't sure if he would be of much use.

Equinox looked back at the direction Elcyon was at concerned, but remained silet and listened to Aeraldi's tale. What he heard shocked and surprised him of what happened between him and this dragon tribe. He was lost for words to say, but mourned for him and the tribe. He stared at them, and wondered if that had anything to do with the shadow creatures that were coming, he doubted it, but still, he mourned for him.
That must have been terrible. he said to himself.

Equinox watched all the dragons with still some hesitation, he still wasn't sure about being here. He felt out of place amungst all these dragons. Each, including the tribe it seemed were so intwined with the land's history, and he felt himself wasn't. He shied back slightly, watching the events go on.

Equinox thought about what Aeraldi said. A plan... he wasn't sure, he had just always managed to stay alive, and it was Quasar or Ephidel who chose most of it. Is there a way we can shield ourselves with magic against shadows? Equinox asked him and Phal.

OOC: Well, since dark kinda left, maybe you could take control of both his and your charries, Astral?

Equinox thought about what Aeraldi suggested. If it would help him guard against shadow creatures and magic he was up for it. Besides, it should be interesting. Yeah, I don't mind. he replied to him. Equinox thought about what they said about the fire, he wondered if they could control the fire to not burn the trees, but that would take a lot of magic.
What if you controled the fire's burning so it wouldn't burn the trees? Or would that drain to much energy? he asked.

OOC: lol yes I saw that.

IC: Kasiya smiled sadly. Unfortunately, they fill up most of the valley in their multitudes. But forests can be regrown. Our Tribe cannot, she said, backing away. If you find a way to protect against the corruption, I would be happy to know. Otherwise, goodnight, she added as she turned away. Phal watched her go and then turned back to her friends, thinking more about how to work a protection. She jerked her head forward with interest as Aeraldi suggested working a spell on Equinox. Is it a Corruption-protection spell? If it is, let me help. I can manipulate your spell so it does exactly what we want it to, and add in my own light magic to get the best protection, she offered enthusiastically, her scales flaring with a small burst of silver light.

Alright. Equinox replied as Aeraldi started to work the magic around him. It was a strange sensation, but he wasn't feeling weaker. He hopped they could win this with out much damage to the forest and with littly casulties.

OOC: Ok, I'll reply lol

Equinox flinched as the magic was woven in him. He came close to trying to block it out of instinct, but didn't. I don't have to worry. he told himself. Still, he wasn't used to the feeling. He could still feel the strange openess in his mind. It had nothing to do with the magic though. After wards when the two said they were done, he could still somewhat feel the pressence, but that was just the after shock for him. I feel fine. I wasn't expecting it at first, but I feel fine. he told them.

OOC: lol yes, dark, this is after CS.

IC:

Elcyon watched with amazement, as well as worry, as Phal and Aeraldi used their magic to allow the flow of it through Equinox. She clawed at the cliff in anticipation, until the process was completed. She felt relieved that he was alright, even though he seemed a little shaken-up.

Thank goodness, she murmured.

A sudden jolt of dark energy shot her out of her thoughts. El was fully alert, though she could not see anything coming. It made her nervous, but she was fully braced. She looked over the cliff she was perched on and still could see nothing.

Something was wrong.

My friends, I by no means want to alarm you, but we have a situation, she stated. There are dark forces arriving, more so than here.

Thank you Aeraldi. Equinox told him. He was glad to have the magic out off him. It felt weird though at first. He wasn't used to the feeling of magic in him ever since his bond had been shattered with Crimson. Trying to keep those events out of his head he looked towards the other dragons in the area. When do you think the shadow forces were get here? he asked.

OOC: Pass

Aeraldi nodded and followed the other dragons while they moved slowly.

OOC: Ok, sorry. I'll post now =)

Equinox followed the others with a sad look on his face. He didn't really want to be in a large battle again, but knew that he had to. Well, he may not have to, but he wanted to fight and defend his friends and this tribe of dragons. How long will it be until we're there? he asked Phal.

OOC:
I've been trying for the past few days to find a place for me to jump in with Zeke, but it keeps eluding me. Astral, you've been reading my fanfic, and know what Zeke gave Temias. Maybe have someone note that the item is pulsing or glowing or whatever? That would be the perfect entrance. If it is okay for me to join. I don't want to assume anything and then have people growling at me.

OOC: We'll find a place for you to come in, DS4. But it depends. Do you want to come in before the fight, or after one of them? 'Cause trust me, a lot more is going to happen after the fight. Heheh.

IC: Phal smiled at Equinox. Not to worry; it's just up there. I'll go scout out the valley where they're gathered. I'll be back soon, she said to her friends, her words brief. She brushed her tail against Aeraldi's shoulder in a quick farewell as she took off to the south. The mountain that bordered the Tribe's temporary cliff-home loomed before her, the only barrier between them and the dark creatures beyond. Creatures that were once elves. Phal shuddered, wondering how they had become like they were. How had the dark parasites gotten into them? What agent of the Shadow Realm had been responsible for this?

As Phal crested the mountain's peak and began passing over it, her thoughts turned to the battle ahead. She scanned the mountainsides, wondering how the dragons could enter. Kasiya would certainly have a plan for the Tribe, but where could Phal and her friends fit in? Where could she do the most damage? Phal flapped her wings, gaining more altitude. The cold dusk air blew past her, and she allowed a faint light to come off her scales, which she narrowed to a point. She didn't mind being mistaken for a star, but tonight she wanted it to be as dim a star as possible. Below her, darkness gathered.

OOC:
Mmm, I'll try to wait for after the battle, but my fingers are itching to post... Don't be surprised if I come at night or something...

OOC:
I know I'm probably annoying someone right now, but my itching fingers are driving me crazy, so I'm going to post now. Not to mention that Zeke would claw me if I didn't let him protect the Tribe. (I'm guessing that the last words in draco's post "Below her, darkness gather." means that night is coming. if not, well...idk.lol)

Zeke flew just below the cloud cover, out of sight from the moon so his scales didn't reflect the light. He stilled his wings and looked down, his nostrils flaring. The scents of the jungle flowed over him in a wave. He was close. With what he had felt through his Heart, something nasty had attacked Temias, and he fully intended to find out what it was. He used the pull of his Eldunarí to guide him to his friend's current posistion. He cocked his head, puzzled. It was not taking him to the stone city, but over a mountain. He became a little nervous. What if the thing that attacked his friend had taken his Heart? One way to know for sure. He deepened his breathing to calm himself, then closed his eyes. His mind felt several familiar conscienceness's, but he looked for one in particular. Temias, he murmured gently, prodding the warrior's mind. He waited for his friend to acknowledge him while he continued to follow the pull. His ice blue gaze raked over the terrain, then stopped abruptly. Scales of all different colors glittered in the half-light. He had found the Tribe. He searched for Phalynx's star scales-he had felt her through his Heart earlier-but did not see her. He pushed it to the back of his mind and pulled in his wings to dive. He landed not far from the outskirts of the camp. He waited a moment to see if anyone would notice him, and when they didn't, he padded forward cautiously to find Temias, or any dragon that he knew.

OOC: Don't be silly, DS4, you're welcome to join whenever you want or whenever you think your character will fit in this part of the rp I'm glad to see another person join in the fray...it'll be lots of fun, trust me, Draco and I have been planning this since January...hopefully now that summer is here, there'll be a lot of posting... And I actually haven't had a chance to get any farther in reading your fanfic I'm so sorry, it's been insanely busy these past few weeks but if anyone were to mention it, it'd probably be Draco since she has control over Temias. Oh and I think she meant the shadow army...I think...lol. Alright, enough gab from me time to do some postin'! lol

Elcyon watched Phal go with a smile before turning her attention towards the gathering of shadows in the distance. She grimaced unnoticeably, turning away from the sight. The darkness that was kept away throbbed against her heart, pulsing painfully as though it were an infected wound. She shook her head and tried to concentrate on something else. El went over battle plans in her mind when Phal had once taught her an interesting flight move in the sky. It had been a while since she last used that move and it would take a lot of remembering in order to pull it off. Over and over she chanted the moves in her mind to keep away the shadows at the edge of her mind.

As she did this, El felt a different presence enter the camp, one she hadn't recognize. She looked around to find the source, but it was within other dragons she hadn't really became aquainted with. She went back to her concentrated battle plans, the only thing keeping her from slipping away into a mental battle with herself.

Equinox looked towards the battlefield and shivered. He had seen an army before but those shadow creatures worried him. He looked around at the dragons with them. He didn't know how he would handle it if any of his friends here died so soon after Quasar had died back at the Spine. Aeraldi's question took him by surprise. Embarrassed and stammering at first he said, Well... uh... you see after taking a breath he said we love each other, but Elcyon and I haven't done anything yet. That made him even more embarrassed and he took a glanced at Elcyon but then turned his gaze back for the shadow army.
