" Where are we going?" Reb asked Zantya. It was the first time the shade had apeared outside of Reb's body.
" We are going to the river of solitued." Zantya answered and continued to read a map. Reb studied her shimmering form with care.
" So this is what you look like." Reb said.
" Yep and you should not get used to it." Zantya said hapily.
" Why you worried I won't be your host?" Reb asked.
" Something like that." Zantya answered.
" You know I don't mind anymore just as long as you don't scare anyone off." Reb said laughing.
" I wouldn't dare and plus I am only a pigment of light." Zantya said then began walking to the right. Star Gazer looked interested at Zantya.
" You know, I don't like the new Zantya, it is just odd for her to be outside of you." STar GAzer said hapily.
" I know it is just creepy." Reb said laughing.
" What?" Zantya said.
" It's an inside joke." Reb answered and headed in the direction Zantya did.
[i]" I don't know why you even try talking her out of things." Star Gazer said exasperated.

Zantya led them into the dense forrest surounding, and wound around trees and stumps. It was getting darker the farther they went into the forrest. Zantya began to glow with a beautiful radiance. Soon Reb had to shade her eyes as the light was completely diminished by the trees, and the only light visible was Zantya.

-Fankor was finishing up mucking the horse's stalls. He lock the stables and walked over to Laverra, who was muching on he rest of her meal of raw deer. "Feel like taking a flight," asked Fankor. " Sure," said Laverra as she quickly finished up her meal. Laverra stood up and grunted slightly as she streched out her muscular legs. She crouched down a little so that Fankor could hop on to her back. Laverra then slowly stood up, making sure that Fankor had a good grip. "One of these days we got to get you a saddle," said Laverra as she gracefully lept into the breezy, night air. Laverra swiftly circled the town once and then headed for the forest right ouside of Surda. As they went further and further over the forest, Fankor noticed a slight light emitting from the trees. "Do you see that,"Fankor asked Laverra. "Yes,"she said " Ill swoop in for a closer look."-

Star Gazer sniffed other dragons. She was one of the biggest dragons known to exsist, and she launched herself rightout of the forrest. Tree snapped and fell from the force of the wind that was coming from her wings. Zantya panicked and molded back into Reb's body. Reb rolled under a bush, trying not to be swept away by her mighty dragoness. Star Gazer was hovering over the forrest, face to face with another dragoness. " Who is it that I am speaking to?" Star Gazer asked of the other dragon.

- Laverra was surprised when a dragoness about three times her size emerged out of the forest. She stayed silent for a few seconds, trying to decide what to say. "I am Laverra,"she said. " My rider and I come from Surda." Laverra flew in small circles, making sure to keep a small distance from this unknown dragon. Fankor just watched in amazement as the huge creature closed in on him. What should we do Fankor?," asked Laverra.-

[i]" I am Star Gazer. The princess to the dragon mountain near the Beor Mountains. My shade and my rider are down below. Who is your rider?" She asked keeping her eyes trained on the two of them.
Reb watched and then walked out into the clearing Star Gazer had left in her wake. Fire lit her hands. " Is there a problem?" She asked her dragon. Star Gazer shook her head.

- Laverra hesitated another second to ask her rider if she should identify him. Fankor shock his head and said it was fine. Laverra flew a little closer as she revealed Fankor to Star Gazer. "My rider is Fankor, and we are fairly new to being a Dragon and rider. My rider requests permission to land and meet with you, your rider, and your shade."-

Star Gazer reluctantly landed beside her rider. Instantly Reb's clothes changed to the same color of her dragon. Blackish purple. Her tanktop, and pants looked like they were shimering in the dark. Zantya stayed locked up in Reb's subconcious.

- Fankor hopped off of Laverra's back. He stood still for a second waiting as he saw a figure start to appear through the trees. "What should i say,"Fankor asked Laverra. " Well you should introduce yourself well, and be polite. Star gazer and her rider are much more experienced than us. Let them ask the questions first." Star Gazer's rider walked up to Fankor as he introduced himself and revealed that He and Laverra were just out for an evening flight. Fankor was excited that he finally met a new rider. Maybe she could help him understand more about being a rider. Laverra, sensing no danger in this encounter, started her own little conversation witth Star Gazer. I don't know what to say," Laverra said." This would be the first time talking with someone of my own race."-

Faefnir observed all of this in his hidden stronghold in the Hadarac Desert. he never trusted this Shade, so he always kept a close eye on Stargazer and Reb. He thought to himself Oye, why do I trouble myself with those two? If the Shade wanted to kill them, it would have done it a long time ago. The White Stag sensed his discontentment. Because they are your own. Deep down, you know that being the oldest of your race, you have the responsibility to make sure this new generation survives the turmoil in Alagaesia. Faefnir thought this over. I know. I haven't cared so much in hundreds of years. Why start now? The Stag took careful thought in this. Because you of all things wish to see the glory of your people restored. This new generation of Riders and dragons shall rebuild your once proud, still proud, race. So your trouble yourself with these two because you don't trust the Shade that accompanies them. It will do them no harm. Faefnir looked at the Stag. Well, I suppose your right. But I just can't help but feel taht somethign terrible is going to happen soon.

Zantya could sense other's but she kept quiet. Reb was an elf, and so was the one watcing them. " I am just a normal dragon, but with two riders. You don't have to act all surprised around ." Star Gazer reasured the other dragon.
" Well my name is Reb, and Zantya is around here somewhere. Welcome to the world of riders." Reb said smillling. " I control fire, and ice. I am half shade, half elf." Reb added and waited for his reaction.

- Fankor was a little supprised to hear that Reb was half shade, but he didn't make a big deal about it. Fankor went depp into conversation with Reb, telling her almost everything about himself. He included how his father was killed, how he recived Laverra's egg, then even went into some skills he specialized in like his skill with the bow. towards the end of their coversation, Fankor asked Reb if she could teach him more about the ancient language.
Laverra this whole time also stayed in deep conversation with Star Gazer. Talking about the past, the present, and what they planned to do in the future. When Laverra felt confortable talking with Star Gazer,she mentioned her father, and asked if she had seen o heard from him at any point.

" I don't realy speak the ancient language. I don't even know it." Reb answered. " The elements I control just listen to me. Jump." Reb said and fire lept from the ground into her palm. " I am sorry. I haven't seen or spoken to your father." Star Gazer answered the other dragon. Zantya took control of Reb. Hi I am Zantya." She said using Reb's body.

- " Wait,"said Fankor." I thought your name was Reb....,"just then it hit Fankor," Oh... so your the shade... ok now I understand. You and Reb share the body like a split personality. Can you seperate from Reb's body or are you strictly bonded with her?,"Fankor asked...


" That's ok," said Laverra. "My rider swore to help me find him. I know he's out there and I must find him." Laverra felt she was sarting to get a little upset over the subject of her father, and she decided to ask Star Gazer about her parents.[/i]

" Our personalities are almost the same. I can split from her for only a minute." Zantya answered.
" No problem. My parents are king and queen of the mountains. They don't realy know me that much." Star Gazer answered.
Zantya was just as strong as the other person and put up her defenses. They couldn't be broken. " Will answer you when I am ready." Zantya said to him.

- Fankor noiced that Zantya was seeming to be consentrating on something other then their conversation." I'm not trying to be rude Zantya, but may I ask whats on your mind besides our conversation?,"asked Fankor.

"Thats cool,"said Laverra," At least you know where and how your parents are. My mother died in an attempt to take Galbatorix out of power. She was kept distracted from her rider by many guards and the king's dragon, and her rider was killed by Galbatorix himself." My mother died just moments after...."

OOC: now that i think about it, it is a little controlling. i'll keep that in mind when the next scene comes up. i just kinda wanted to make Faefnir's power over other, lesser things concrete and try and make a good story and advance the plot a little bit. sorry if that seemed a little offensive or whatnot.

" I am sorry, I am talking to Reb." Zantya answered. Telling a lie.
" Knowing who and where your parents are isn't always what it is cracked up to be. My parents made me become the mate to an abusive hateful creature who has tried to kill me on more than one acount. They blame me for the decline in our kind. I don't hate them, but they hate me." Star Gazer answered.

-"Oh ok,"said Fankor." All this conversation and not once have I asked you what brings you to Surda, so if you don't mind me asking..."-
- " That's horrible!," Laverra shouted in Disgust."Firstly it should be your own choice to find your mate not theirs, and secondly, I can't believe he would be abusive. Did your parents have any idea about how he has acted towards you? Also I can't belive they would say something like that. why would you be the cuase of our decline. It is not any one of our kind cuasing it. It's... It's that horrible king who is the cuase of our decline!"-
- Fankor felt Lavarra's rage through her mind. He zoned out of his conversation with Reb and Zantya for a second and asked Lavarra if everything was alright, communicating silently through their minds. Lavarra answered back with a slight nod of the head, and calming down a bit.-

- Laverra couldn't get herself off the topic of Star Gazer's parents. She quickly lept into the air to calm herself down. "Where are you going?,"asked Fankor."I just had to circle a bit in the air to calm..."Fankor was supprised when Laverra just stopped in the middle of her sentence." What the...Fankor, you got to hop on my back and see this...,"said Laverra. Laverra swooped down and grabbed Fankor in her jaws by his shirt. She then headed through the forest canopey. Laverra tossed Fankor up onto her back as she pointed out a dragon nearly three times the size of Star Gazer. Fankor couldn't believe his eyes. " Head back down to reb and Star Gazer... we got to see if they know that dragon," Fankor said to Laverra, as they glided back into the forest.....-

- Fankor was starting to get a little worried as he saw the large dragon gaining on them fast. He wondered if the dragon had a rider or if he was wild." Laverra, can you talk to this other dragon?,"Fankor asked."I could, but to me it doesn't look like he wants to talk much.,"Laverra answered back." Well do sometheing cuase he's gaining on us!" Laverra tried communicating with the large dragon... " Who are you and why are you folowing us!-

" Ah Fanir how nice of you to join us!" Star Gazer roared loud enough for Lavvera to hear. " Although I thought I got the message clear. Zantya is of no harm to me or Reb." Star Gazer said getting a little aggitated as she caught up with the speedily flying dragon.

-"Did we miss something here," Laverra said as she slowed a little till all three of them were lined up perfectly in the sky."What is going on.... who is this?" Fankor looked to Reb and Zantya to answer his question. "Sorry,"said Fankor," I'm just not familiar with all this. I have lived here in Surda all my life and not once have I seen a Dragon or Rider. Now tonight... I find two Dragons, a rider, and a shade... all in one night! Can you please explain to me what is gonig on?" All three of the dragons landed on the forest floor. It was getting late and Fankor would have to get home to make sure everything was all right. But Fankor didn't want to go anywhere. Not until he got the answer to his question. Laverra also seemed to wait on an answer from the group.-[/i]

" Meet Fanir. The direct decendant of the very first dragon, and one of Star Gazer's living friends from the time of the dragon riders. He has been following us for awhile." Reb answered.
" I am sorry I didn't tell you, but he was difficult a minute ago." Star Gazer said looking at Fanir, and smiled a toothy grin.

-"Ok, but you never answered my riders question of what brings you to Surda," Laverra growled. Fankor felt that Laverra was starting to get a little uncomfortable with yet another dragon around, and he couldn't blame her. Fankor was starting to feel a little uncomfortable himself. Fankor quickly warned Laverra to calm down a bit and reassured her that they wouldn't stay to much longer. " We don't mean to be rude but we would like to know what your up to. Not that its any buisness of ours, but Laverra and I are quite new to be dragon and rider, and maybe we might be able to accompany you for a while and maybe learn some new things,"Fankor said mostly addressing Reb, Zantya, and Star Gazer.-

" I am in surda on a bounty hunt." Reb answered. " Don't worry young dragon, there are only two of us. Now at my mountain there are hundreds." Star Gazer added. " I won't hurt you ever." Star Gazer said nodding at Faefnir. " He is just a big teddy bear." Star Gazer said laughing.

He knew the comment was just humerous, but Faefnir was still mildly offended. Big teddy bear?! Star gazer, you of all people know just how fierce and... frightening... I can be. I don't like that term. I prefer something closer to "dormant volcano."

-"A bounty hunt? Has something happened here in Surda lately that I missed?," Fankor asked looking a little confused.

-Laverra couldn't help but giggle a little under her breath. "A big teddy bear," as she said quietly out loud again. Then she burst out laughing, trying to stop herself as fast as she could. As soon as she stopped laughing she quickly changed the subject." So Faefnir, you will being willing to train My rider and I? It would be of great help... expecially to my rider."

-"Well I could learn a lot more about whats going on today, and some on the past. I'm a pretty good flyer..., And thats one good thing about being a little smaller... I'm very manuverable. With fire breath... I may be young but, there are times I still amaze myself how well off I am with it. My rider on the other hand, needs to know much of the ancient language. He knows some but only very basic spells. I guess it wouldn't hurt either if I learned some of this as well."

-" Yes, I know what your saying Star Gazer... that's kinda why I said I should learn it with Fankor," Laverra said. " My rider and I will take as much knoledge as you can give us Faefnir. Star Gazer, I too am interested in what this bounty hunt you are talking about is. Are you on a hunt for an item or a person of some race?"

-Fankor was getting more interested in learning the ancient languge as they spoke more of it. Thinking of all the mysteries that the world of magic had to hold..., and it made him wonder..." Can a dragon control the power ancient languge like its rider?-

" A band of urgals who had killed a village." Star Gazer answered.
" I'm cold." Reb complained.
" Here." Star Gazer said then blue flames shot from her mouth. It surounded Reb then crawled up her legs and wound around her limbs like a snake.

"Uragals ehh,...hmm maybe we can lend you a hand. it would be a good first experience for Fankor and I. That is if you don't mind?," Laverra answered Star Gazer with a slight smirk on her face.

-"And that doesn't burn you? I dont get it. how does fire just obey you?," Fankor looked very confused as the fire crept up rebs leg.[/i]

-"But i still don't understand how Fire doesn't burn you when it does that reb. I couldn't see myself doing that with a flame from Laverra... No offense Laverra," Fankor said as he let out a slight laugh. Laverra just snorted at this comment." And i wasn't just wondering about dragons having a great control of fire... Laverra herself already has a great control of her flame, and it come out of her jaws with such force, the hot air around the flame alone is enought to kick you straight off your feet. But i was talking about dragons having control of other elements such as water or earth..."

" I was the one controlling the fire on that point." Reb said. Star Gazer snorted her aproval of them joining the hunt.

- "Well thats good to hear. Were you planning to continue on tonight, or did you want to call it a night. If you want to get a little rest Reb, Zantya, I got some extra room at my house, and of course theres plenty of room for you Star anf Faefnir...," Fankor explained to them all. " It's also great hunting," Laverra added. " and you dont have to worry about being noticed if you don't want to. My family's farm is right at the edge of town, and my family has kept Laverra and I a secret form the rest of the town." Fankor said as he pointed in the direction of his farm.

Faefnir bowed his head with grace. I would love to shelter with you. I haven't much rest since i left the Hadarac, so a good bed under me will be quite nice. Star gazer, will you bed with me or do you wish to continue your venture?

" I will bed. I am exsausted. I haven't slept for five days. " Star Gazer answered then followed him. Reb follwed as well. She was also tired. She had been with wil for most of the time and then had left and fought a war then come to them.

"Alright then, just folow us its not far at all," Fankor said as he jumped onto Laverra's back and they lept into the air. They wern't flying for more than 5 minutes when they landed at the farm. Fankor hopped off Laverra's back. Fankor yawned and streched out his legs, then started walking to the barn behind the house. He slid opened the door and felt relived when the warm air from the fire heated barn whiped over his face." Here we are," Fankore said," there's even enough room in here for you faefnir, and its nice and warm. I like sleeping in here more than in th house, becuase im with Laverra, and some nights, it's even more comfortable then the house." Fankor let out a small laugh. Fankor walked to the back of the barn and pulled out some blackets for Reb and himself, then told the others to get comfortable.

" Thank you Fankor." Star Gazer said. The sound rumbling from her throat. " My venture is simple. The Urgle's attacked my mountain and then slaughtered a village. I will kill them at no costs. They killed Greta. My sister." She added and then lay down and turned away from him.
" Thank you." Reb said and then took a blanket and laid down next to Star Gazer's head and held it in her lap for comfort.

-the next morning come almost to soon. Laverra opened her eyes and stood up, careful not to wake up Fankor, who was sound asleep under her wing. She streched and yawned as she smacked her slaps a bit and said to herself, " I'm getting a little hungry." She wondered if Faefnir felt the same. She would of woken up Star Gazer, but she thought she should rest up a bit because she did get a little upset last night about her sister, and she could just bring something back for her. She walked over and nuddged Faefnir on the side. As he awoke with slight grumbles, Laverra asked if he would like to go hunting." There are some of the best hunting grounds right behind our farm," She told Faefnir.

Star Gazer felt Faefnir being woken and stirred, but Reb still had her head in her hands, and she didn't want to wake her rider, so she just layed there and waited to see what the two of them would do. She yawned and then just closed her eyes listening to all around her.

-" Yes a nice morning flight and some breakfast. I was just telling Faefnir about the excellent hunting grounds right behind our farm. There you can find some of the juiceyies venison you will ever sink you fangs into. It melts right in you mouth,"Laverra said, " And don't worry about Reb, Fankor shouldn't even sleep that much longer. He needs to get up and take care of the horses, and make breakfast for the rest of the family. Reb will be welcomed greatly by his family. ANyone who is against Galbatorix is a friend of the whole family."

Star Gazer let a toothy grin form on her lips. " My wings were feeling a bit cramped." She said and then she let her rider's hands fall to her lap, and used her talon to move the blanket closer up to her chin. She then turned to Faefnir letting her wings shake. " Let's go." She said.

- Laverra was already outside when Faefnir and Star Gazer exited the barn. "What a beautiful morning," She said to herself. She made sure the others were ready as she lept off the ground and into the cool, mourning air.

- Not to much longer after the three dragons left, Fankor woke up and noticed they were gone. He didn't bother Laverra through her mind for he knew they probably just went for a small flight or a quick hunt. He yawned, got up and streched, and left to go muck the horses stalls carefully, trying not to wake up Reb.

Reb woke as soon as Fankor began to clean stalls. She smiled and sat up. The covers falling down to her waist. She rubbed her eyes and then streched and yawned. She watched him waiting for him to notice she was awake.

- Fankor Just finished his first stall and went to move on to the second, when he noticed Reb was awake. " Well good morning, sorry if I woke you. Are you hungry, cuase I have to make breakfast and get everyone up as soon as im finished. You can also meet my family. I'm sure you'll find them very welcoming."-

Faefnir knew he couldn't hide his feelings for Star gazer. Although she was much younger than he, she still had all the power and majesty of the perhaps even the Great Dragon himself. He decided to confide to Lavarra. Lavarra, you may be young, but I must have your advice. Should I admit my feelings to Star gazer? I think I'm falling in love.
OOC: don't take this seriously. I'm just trying to make an interesting rp, since it appears this one won't have quite as much action in it until later.

- Laverra was very supprised at this question. A fifty thousand year old dragon was asking her for advice. She found this rather comical, however, she held back from laughing and answered Faefnir's question seriously. "I don't think you should have to hold any of your feelings back. You don't have a rider so you don't know what it's like. You have someone to speak your feelings to anytime you need to. But to answer your question, yes I think you should tell her. Just take it a little bit slowly. Also make sure we've landed before you tell her... I know when you told me,you caught me so off guard, I almost ran into that tree," she said as she laught out a slight giggle.

" I don't know. Not many people know a beautiful shade as a friend." Reb said cautiously but followed him all the same.
Star Gazer dove down low. Laverra and Faefnir were having a conversation and she didn't want to disturb them. Laverra was probably to excited to learn to wait to learn all the ancient language. A very foriegn language to herself. She had never had a dragon elder than herself telling her what to say and what to do around a rider. So she and Reb were probably the most wild dragoness and rider, but she wouldn't have it any other way.

- " Shade or not, My family is accepting of anyone who doesn't serve the king. Just becuase your a shade doesn't make you evil or good, It's what you do with the great power you have that determines your friends and enemies. That's how my father and mother raised us, and we only hope that other people try to understand this as well," Fankor said as he slowly opened the door that led into the kitchen. "Now, what would you like for breakfast,"He said to Reb smiling.

- Laverra was happy to hear that Faefnir appreciated her advice. she wanted to ask where they wanted to go, but she didn't wanted to bother them while in conversation. Instead, she just took the lead and started leading them into one of Surda's richest hunting grounds. It was kept a secret, and was passed down Fankors family ever since his great-grandfather who built the family farm himself. Many people try to bargin with Fankor and his family to give up the location of these grounds, but these grounds had other meanings to it besides good hunting to Fankor. It held many happy memories of his father, Including when his father helped Fankor shoo his first arrow. This arrow was still sunk into the trunk of the nearby oak tree, and everytime Fankor comes to these grounds, he sits and thinks about the happy memories of his father.-

" Food?" Reb said and laughed. He was a very sweet young man. She couldn't help but smile, even though she wasn't much older than him.
" Yes it is a good morning, and it is beautiful." Star Gazer answered him, noticing a change in his attitude. She folded her wings and dove down, then pulled up at the last minute and killed the deer with one swift swipe of the jaws.

- " Hmm food, that narrows it down a bit," Fankor said as he started to laugh along with Reb. " Well I better go wake everyone up. Ill be back in a minute, in the meantime, make yourself at home." He started walking into the next room. As he turned the corner, he thought to himself how lucky he was to meet a rider like Reb. Not only did she have a great personality, but she was also a very experienced rider. It was so much pressure off his back now that he had someone who understood everything he said about being a rider. There was no one to talk to about being a rider before she came along. Fankor continued walking into her mother's, brother's, and sister's rooms to awaken them.

Star Gazer smiled a toothy smile to him. " Don't fight the wind. Just ride it." She answered the soared higher without beating her wings once. The deer dangling from her talons. She then landed and sat down her catch and folded her wings. She hid the deer up a tree and then took flight once more. " I don't realy guess anyone has asked me how I fly the way i do before." She said to him.

-"That was amazing how you dove like that. You looked so gracefull. Flying is an art and you have to be one the greatest ive ever seen," Laverra said to Star Gazer. Laverra then landed to take a drink from the nearby river. As she took a drink she looked up and smelled something different. There was a scent trial that led down the whole other side of the river. She has only once seen an urgal around these woods and Fankor shot it in the back of the head with an arrow, taking him by supprise. But this smell was different. it was something she had never smelled before. It wasn't another dragon or human or any animal she had seen around. " Star, Faefnir, come down her a second," Laverra said as the other two landed beside her. " Do any of you two know what that smell is? It's strong and follows all the way down the river."

- "A Ra'Zac!," Said Laverra. She had never seen one with her own eyes but has heard many stories about these filthy creatures. " Star Gazer, we better hurry. Their scent folows down stream, and it runs right behind the farm." With no more to say Laverra lept into the air and headed as fast as she could towards the farm, making sure to keep a close eye out for those horrible creatures.

- Fankor was just walking back to the kitchen after waking everyone up when he heard Laverra's voice. " Fankor, we picked up the scent of a Ra'zac over by the hunting grounds heading toward the farm. Whatch yourself and stick close to Reb until We arrive. Were coming as fast as we can!". After hearing this news he ran up to Reb, only to find out that she had already heard it from Star Gazer. " What should we do?," Fankor asked her.

" Reb run. Ra'zac." Star Roared out loud and a gangy creature lept out of the tree dagger poised and stabbed Star Gazer in the side. She swung her huge body and grabbed him with her jaws and threw him away, along with his dagger. She was to angry to noticed the wound. She landed and fire escaped her throat. It was a long black and purplish flame that encased trees and discentigrated the trees. Her eyes glowed bright red. She was in an uncontrolably state or RAge.
Reb dropped what she was doing and slammed the house door shut and locked it. Apparently there was only one Ra'zac where the dragons were. That meant the other was after them.

- Fankor saw everything that was happening and he felt as his head was spinning cuase it happened so fast. Just then he turned his head and cuaght a glimps of a Lethrblaka flying with something in its claws. He saw Faefnir not to far off its tall. He took out his bow and shot an arrow that hit the creature right above his wing in the lower right shoulder. He wouldn't have taken this shot if it wasn't such an easy shot for him, cuase he could of hit whatever it was in its claws. The Lethrblaka let out an ear piercing scream as it plunched towards the ground. Just then, Laverra flew down from behind Fankor. " Perfect timing,"he said as he jumped up on Laverras back. " I want to get a closer look at this thing. it fell the the ground just a little ways up the river." Laverra nodded and lept off towards where the Lethrblaka crash landed.-

- Fankor and laverra landed next to Reb. " Are you ok," Fankor asked Reb as he hopped off of Laverra. "Do you think we got them all?," Laverra said to everyone. "I Have heard these creatures were vicious, but there is no way to know what you're in for until you acually see one. Those things are ruthless!" Laverra then walked over to get a slightly closer look at the beasts that had ambushed them all... carefull not to get too close... even thought it was dead.-

IC: Eriel and Emrhyst enjoyed nothing more then flying together execpt each other's company. The jingle of the bells on the saddle bags, the soft whisper of her cloak fluttering in the breeze. As they got closer to the shore, the first thing they saw was a town, a second later they saw a hill, or, at least it seemed like a hill, for it was golden, and had spikes on it. And then, flying straight at them, a Lethrblaka, struggling to regain flight. "Emrhyst, dodge!" Emrhyst swerved to the left, narrowly avoiding the oncoming 'projectile', the leathery wing membrane of the lethrblaka brushed against Eriel's sheath. Let's see what's going on there. Emrhyst set course for the huge farm house, with a golden dragon behind it, accompanied by a dragon slightly bigger than her, one about three times smaller than her, and two riders. As they neared the group, Eriel and Emrhyst felt a consiousness touch their minds, telling them to stop. Eriel nocked her bow.

- Laverra was paying attention to the new rider be she got a bit curious. " Star, if you don't mind me asking, why was Reb so mad a Zantya for Taking over just then?"-

IC: Emrhyst started to fly towards the party. Eriel asnwered Fankor's questions, "Me and my dragon were just adventuring. And we decided to stock up on provisions." They landed at last. Eriel had a good look at the party. She had met all but Fankor and Laverra. She smiled as she noticed the new rider, and then frowned as she noticed the burnt corpse of a lerthblaka.

OOC: Why isn't anyone replying anymore?

OOC: because it's Star's turn. I can't go until she take her turn.

Faefnir joined the others at the body of the Lethrblaka. He nudged it slightly with his nose. Aye, it's dead. But count on it, they will be back. Then Faefnir felt a presence behind them. And with an army on the way. Faefnir turned around to find the White Stag standing behind them. Faefnir jumped over to him and welcomed his old friend. My friend, what do you mean by an army? This is Surda. Galbatorix can't invade, he doesn't think it's a threat. The Stag nodded his head in agreement. Aye, he doesn't. This army isn't an Imperial army. This army is of a people who live beyond the farthest reaches of Alagaesia. They come from the East, and they are not human. They are like a twisted dragon. They have talons like dragons, wings like dragons, triangular heads like dragons, yet they are not dragons, for they are smaller and stand on two legs. They come in near infinite numbers and their commander is more fell than even Galbatorix and Shruikan combined. I can tell you this because they have already attacked the city of Ceris. The outpost is completely razed. Large portions of Du Weldenvarden are burning and the elvish spellcasters are helpless. I don't know about the other regions of Alagaesia, but if that large of an army attacked and razed an elven outpost, I would guess there are millions more. Faefnir acted quickly, then scryed the dwarven outpost of Hedarth. It was completely gone. Then he scryed Galfni. It was still fighting on, but it was almost destroyed also. Everyone, the Stag speaks the truth. There are these creatures, I couldn't see them. Hedarth is gone, so is Ceris. Galfni is about to fall. I would say we have a quest on our hands. Reb, go to your home in the Beor Mountains. Put aside your disagreement with your family and muster their aid. We must have their help if the dwarves stand a chance. Eriel, go to the north and alert Islanzadi in Ellesmera. King Orrin, I realize Surda is still far away from the storm that is to come, but you must get Surda's defenses ready. If these creatures are this stupid, they probably seek to destroy towns. Make sure everyone is fortified. I'll go to Uru'baen. Galbatorix is evil, aye, but he will put this as his top priority. He will not risk invasion from a supossedly more-powerful entity. My friend, you will accompany me to the Empire. When this is all done, everyone will go to my lair. It's the center of Alagaesia and easily defendable. Eriel, when the army attacks Ilea Feon and Silthrim, do all in your power to assist the elves. You are in charge of their survival. Star, you do the same when the army starts attacking Tarnag and Tronjheim. King Orrin, stay in Surda. If we fail, you are the last defense against the creature horde. Everyone, good luck to you and may the Great Dragon watch over you. Alagaesia may need his blessing if we are to survive.

OOC: we'll just keep all this in this one forum, so it doesn't get too confusing. I hope this will prolong the RP drastically.

"Very well then. Fly Emrhyst! Fly like you've never flown before!" They took off for Ellesmera, the land sped away below them, soon, they were atop the hadharac desert and then atop Ellesmera. "Let me in! This is of utmost importance and i must speak with the queen." She spoke with so much authority the guards lost no time, after completing the initial phrases, she said, "My lady, an army comes from the far east, an army of twisted dragons who stand on two feet. Ceris has been razed to the ground, Du Weldenvarden burns! Heldath is gone and so is Galfni." The queen stood and said to all around her, "Get the outposts ready for war. If what the rider says is true, Silthrim will be attacked first. Now go! Make ready for war." When all have left, the queen said to Eriel, "Well Eriel, how goes your travels?" "Very well my lady, thank you." " I won't keep you under my command so you are free to go where you will." "Thank you, I'll be off to Silthrim now then." With that, she mounted Emrhyst and flew to Silthrim.

Eriel reached Silthrim before nightfall. As she landed in the courtyard, a herald came out to greet them. "Welcome, argetlam. Your help here is greatly appreciated. Our queen has ordered you to take command of the army." Eriel pondered it for awhile then said, "Very well then. Elves lend me your strength!" She spoke afew words and a wall started rising from the ground. Even with their combined strength it was still no easy task. In the end though, the wall was completed. "Swords men! Take up the first rank on the walls. Archers, take up the second ranks. Mages, Take up the third." Soon the space on the wall was filled up, and there were still soldiers left. "Pike men, in front of the gate. Archers behind. We shall make them pay for invading alagaesia." Eriel rushed up the stairs leading to the wall, the elves made way as Emrhyst landed. They waited, one hour. two hours. Soon, crude war chants could be heard. And then up came the head of the commander over the horizon. Iron boots could be heard now. They stopped before the wall. The commander raised his hand with his palm facing Eriel as a token of parley. They met in the space between the two armies. After exchanging afew words, a knife flashed but was turned by the wards Eriel set on herself. "You would resort to treachery to kill me?" She turned her back and calmly strode back into the walls. Her hair brushed the nose of the commander. Within the ranks, the commanded spoke to his soldiers, " This one is strong, the others all fell when I 'cheated'. This will be tougher." Eriel spoke to the army in the ancient language. "We will either live or die tonight. So fight! Fight for your kingdom, fight for your families, fight for Du Weldenvarden, fight for alagaesia!." The elves blew their horns and buckled their helmets. All, but Eriel. Drums pounded on the other side of the wall. Their leader shouted a hoarse war cry. The dragon-like creatures charged, bringing in ladders. "So it begins."
