OOC: This thread will start out with just Dragonslayer4 and myself. It hasnt been decided if we will have others join.

Daidrea truely felt like a wanderer. He never really never seemed to stay in one place long enough to call it home. Once again he found himself traveling in the Beors. Although this time it wasnt for any real particular reason. It wasnt to do anything for the Varden or the dwarves... Something inside of him just found something appealing to go there. He just hoped that his luck wouldnt turn for the worst.

Sarai, being blind, couldn't see the way that Daidrea had taken her words, so she just sat there waiting for her fate. Finally she heard a loud crash and abruptly her mother was there, gold-amethyst scales bristling with her anger and a low growl rumbling in her chest. She squeaked once in small defiance, but a deafening snarl from her mother made her fall silent and tremble against the ground. Sarai Blackscales, don't you ever do that to me again! hissed Jia, her teal eyes aflame with anxiety and anger. I thought a Nagra had come into the cave while Ka and I were hunting and had taken you for its meal! the black-gold hatchling whimpered and hesitantly crawled forward to her mother. At first Jia remained motionless, wanting to keep up the scolding, but she couldn't help it. She almost literally pounced onto Sarai, covering her with rough licks of her tongue to soothe and comfort her. I'm sorry Momma. she said quietly. The gold-amethyst dragoness purred. There is nothing to forgive, my angel.

Jia, still holding her daughter close to her front, looked up at Daidrea. Thank you, my friend, thank you so much. she said fervently. Her gold-amethyst scales still bristled, and her stance over Sarai was protective, but her eyes and expression were sincere.

Sarai gazed after Daidrea, even though she couldn't see him properly. She felt her mother shift and knew that the scolding was to continue. Momma, not now. I'm tired, I was chased by a wolf, and I just want to go back to the cave for a nap. she said with a wide yawn. Jia sighed. Very well. You would be welcome to my cave, if you wish, Daidrea. Even wanderers need a warm, dry place to stay for the night. said the gold-amethyst. The dragonet sleepily climbed onto her mothers back and curled up in the seat of the saddle. And it would be the least I could do in gratitude for finding and protecting my daughter.

Iaras peered through the trees curiously. Teak had reported hearing a commotion a few yards from the base. From what he could gather from watching this group for the last few minutes, the little dragon had run away, the twoleg had found it and called the mother, now they were reuniting. He tilted his head, a cold gleam in his eye. He'd never had dragon blood before. He wondered how the lung one would taste. He crouched down into the bushes to wait and see what they would do now.

Jia nodded, though her eyes narrowed when he broke off. Ordering her daughter to stay behind Daidrea, she padded forward to where he was looking. She sniffed, extending her snout forward. What on earth was that scent? She sneezed at the spicy tang of it. Quick, on my back, both of you. I don't like that scent behind those bushes. she growled, her wings fluttering nervously. Once they were both mounted she took one more searching sweep with her gaze. Just as she launched from the ground she saw something that sent a cold shiver down her spine; the cold glitter of eyes. In the air it only took perhaps 15 minutes for her to reach the cave. When she landed at the entrance she was still for a few moments. Someone was there, watching us. she said quietly.

Iaras cursed under his breath. He'd been forced to hold as still as possible when the twoleg looked in his direction, but the mother dragon he knew he had no hope of hiding from her, not completely at least. The gryphon waited until they were in the air, then called to his Tamen. Stay with my servants for now. If I have need I will call. he said shortly, then went out at a steady lope after the group. He wanted to taste draconic blood, so taste it he would.

Sarai jumped down from her mothers shoulders to the ground and yawned. She padded to Daidrea, who had returned with the wood, and curled up in a ball close to the fire. She was asleep in a few moments.

Jia sighed and laid down against the wall. She watched Daidrea set apart the wood and make a fire. She started at his question, her teal eyes, flicking to his green ones. He hadn't looked away from the fire. Her pupils narrowed. If it was anyone but you, Daidrea, I might knock you on your back for asking such a personal question that I have every right not to answer. she hissed. She touched the Changing Seal that would change her form to a human; she found her doing this more and more often, even in Ka's absence. She closed her eyes as the light flashed. When it cleared, she stood on two legs in human form, dressed in her usual tight fitted gold silk blouse and light blue ankle length circle skirt. She staggered a moment, then opened her eyes to look at Daidrea. Her golden hair with amethyst streaks was pulled back in a braid down her back. She crossed her arms over her chest,"Why do you want to know anyway?" she said aloud, her voice not cold but neither was it warm.

Jia sniffed quietly and looked away,"It was not for his general breeding, Daidrea. He wanted me, specifically, because of my powers." she said quietly. She merely nodded at his apology, but she had to look up when he said it was not forgivable,"There you are wrong, my friend. I didn't remember being violated until much later, when Sarai's egg was almost ready to lay." here she glanced down at the sleeping dragonet, scales as black as those on her father, but with the subtle hint of gold lining each one,"How can I hate Shruikan for raping me when I received such a precious treasure in return?" she murmured, and gently stroked Sarai's head,"Had I known in the past, before I was captured, that Shruikan would mate me and that I would become a mother, I wouldn't change a single thing. Except for perhaps the torturing to me and Ka, but that is it. And thank you for not telling him. Ka's temper is barely short on violent when it comes to my safety. No, I take that back, he is violent when it comes to my safety." she said, and grimaced.

Jia had to chuckle, though her smile was pained,"I wish I could have known her. Elyrana sounds like a very sensible dragon, one that could keep you in line." she said, trying to lighten the mood. She knew, personally, how much it hurt Daidrea to remember his deceased companion. She had mistakenly Read him with her powers, had felt the searing agony of being alone in the world. She'd felt it once when her connection with Ka had been blocked by a Seal he'd made by mistake. If he hadn't've been here with her, where she could see him, who knows what she might have done. She smiled at Daidrea,"Have you ever seen a dragon when it's pissed off? If you have, and then you see me, you'll understand the phrase 'motherly protection'." she said with a chuckle, her teal eyes gleaming.

Jia chuckled lightly, her teal eyes glittering,"Ka was not as bad. It was a bit tense between us the first time I changed, but now it is no different, as if I were still in dragon form, just on two legs instead of four." she said, and grinned. She leaned back against the cave wall, still stroking Sarai's head. She snorted quietly,"My rage is like a kitten's compared to Ka's. The first time I changed he took me to a bar. Don't look at me like that, I wanted to go. Ka hates taverns, he just went to humor me. While we were there a man tried to collect me into his show of mates that he has taken." her grin widened,"He was duly chastised by me, but when Ka and I left two of his buddies followed us. Long story short, they were drunk, tried to touch me, Ka tore them to pieces. As I said, his temper his violent when I comes to my safety." she said with a grimace and a shake of her head.

OOC: Erm... whats her power again?

OOC:
When her eyes glow and she looks at someone, she experiences what they do in emotions, the senses, a bit of thoughts, and a bit of intentions. She recently found that she can, in edition to sharing, she can either impress on them what she wants, or vice versa with taking it. She can really only do that with emotions though.

"Hmm. I dont think I could do that to you Jia. My heart has suffered too much for one hundred life times. I wouldnt want you to carry my burden."

Jia pursed her lips and contemplated, then spoke,"I suppose. But I don't have to actually remove it either. I can alleviate it for a while, make it easier for you to control." she said. She hesitated briefly,"I could probably do the same for him as well, if you like." she offered. She wasn't positive she could control Aerdiad outright, but Zeke had told her he had been created by rage, which was an emotion.

Jia nodded before scooting forward. She'd never met Aerdiad before and wasn't exactly eager to change that. She leaned forward and set her fingers on his head just above his temples,"Look into my eyes. It will make it easier for me." she murmured,"You will feel a cold sensation inside you, but that is just how my powers Read you." she added. Gentle green-gold light lit her eyes in a warm glow. A tear ran down her cheek as she felt his pain. She drew in a deep breath and released it shakily,"Think of something that makes him stir. If he's dormant I can't feel him." she murmured quietly.

Daidrea's eyes were now completely black. His skin turned pale with dark grey tint to it. Finally the mysterious markings appeared all over. Aerdiad had surfaced.
For a few seconds all he did was blink and look around. Then he made a mischievous grin. "My my, this is a suprise. It has been far too long since Daidrea has let me out willingly." Aerdiad looked at Jia's hands that were touching his face. He laughed smoothly, "Well now arent you quite something? I havent met you and you wish to get physical with me?" Jia removed her hands and punch him straight across the face. Aerdiad did nothing but laugh again. "Playing hard to get huh?"

Aerdiad tried to stand, but something was holding him in place. He sighed, "I shouldve figured there was a catch to this. What do you want of me?"
OOC: Sorry for the slight god-mod. Just thought it would be funny. Btw re ask your questions. Im having him oblivious to whats goin on.

Jia's eyes narrowed, the pupils contracting to dangerous slits,"He let you out because I told him to." she growled. Her eyes narrowed further at his following words and she pulled away her hand to punch him across the jaw. Hard. It infuriated her that he only laughed. Her lips pulled back from her teeth in the imitation of a snarl,"My name is Johdzsia, and you must be Aerdiad. As for what I want...That depends on what you can give. My powers specialize in emotions. I can share with whom I wish, impress on them, and also remove any emotion I want." her teal eyes, still glowing with green-gold light, became hard as chips of flint,"Remove might be the appropriate course in this situation. Why do you insist on tormenting Daidrea? Your treatment of him is sorely making me want to rip your throat out. The only thing that keeps me doing so is that he will die with you. But that still does not mean I can't cause you pain, so behave yourself." she growled.

Jia snorted, though her blood quickened with anger and worry as he threatened her daughter. She stood and briefly glanced between him and Sarai, hesitating. Daidrea had trusted her to keep Aerdiad in control. She intended to keep that trust. She Changed back to her draconic form and leapt after him. She darted around him and blocked his path, her fangs bared in a snarl and her scales bristling. Her eyes glowed powerfully as she forced herself into his soul. She sent him pain, pain that would drive him to his knees if he so much as twitched. She intensified the pain every few moments just in case he tried to do something stupid. True I may not be able to remove you, but I can control you. Of this I am certain. Now, unless you want your skull to feel like its being crushed from the inside, I would recommend that you turn yourself around and walk back into the cave. she hissed. She intensified the pain into an agony that would rip through him. When you comply the pain will stop. she said calmly.

Iaras watched from the side, the corners of his beak turning into a crooked grin. Now this was interesting. He contemplated the benefits of helping one or the other creature. True the dragon was obviously powerfully, magically strong, and an advanced warrior. But the twoleg...He was much more interesting. And so the golden colored gryphon stood and walked calmly forward out of the bushes. He took a deep breath, opened his beak wide, and Screeched. Instantly the female dragon roared in pain and went to the ground, writhing against the grass with her paws over her ears in an attempt to block the painful sound. While still Screeching, the gryphon King stepped forward in the twolegs direction. Abruptly the dragon went still, having lost consciousness. Iaras closed his beak, therefore ending the Screech. He swayed briefly, then looked at the twoleg. My name is King Iaras of Zaflen. You still want to get away from here? Mount up then. I will carry you where you wish to go. he said with a grin, and lifted a foreleg to kneel to the ground and allow the twoleg access to the elaborately made saddle fitted to his back.

Iaras grinned pleasantly at the twoleg before straightening up to his full heighth. He lifted his wings above him for a moment before he charged forward and drove them down powerfully, lifting him and his passenger right off the ground with ease. The gryphon soared comfortably for a while, then glanced back at the man. You are different than the one I saw earlier. he said absently. The cruel grin twitched at the corner of his beak. I like you better. he said, chuckled, and looked ahead again. I heard you speak of blood earlier? Or was that simply a jest? he asked as he pulled in his wings a bit to drop lower in the sky.

Well then, we shall have to find a town that can satisfy both of or desires. chuckled the gryphon. At the man's question he shrugged his shoulders. I left my Palace and my country to track down my mother and kill her and any brood she might have spawned so that I may keep the throne. When I return to my country I then plan on challenging the High King and killing him so I may then be High King of Tenya. he said. Finding what he was searching for he pulled in his wings for a shallow dive. When he landed there was a single creature, no taller than rice feet with emerald slitted snake-like eyes and covered in a light fur coat like a zebra or horse and a lion-like mane around his head and shoulders. The creature bowed,"My King, how may I be of service?" murmured Teak, Iaras's Bonded Tamen pet. Iaras look down at the Tamen. Are there any inhabitated towns nearby? he asked with a grin toward the man. The Tamen nodded,"I will find out right away, Sire." he said, then turned and ran. The gryphon kneeled so the twoleg might dismount if he wished. If your willing to wait perhaps five or ten minutes, my Tamen pet will find us a suitable town to...visit. he said, and chuckled darkly.

Iaras raised an eyeridge. Thank you, I think. he said simply. He sat on his haunches and ruffled at his plumage idly with his beak. It shouldn't take more than a minute or two. he said. He looked up at the man. That female and her daughter that you were with, were they troubling you? I could send one or two of my Gryphon Soldiers to take care of them, if you wish. he offered, just as Teak approached. The Tamen stopped and bowed,"There is a well inhabited village a bit to the north of us, My King. May I send for Sevena so she may join you?" he asked. Iaras nodded. Yes, but tell her she must catch up with us if she wants to go. he said, then stood and knelt for the man to mount up again. And so begins the slaughter. he said with a sadistic grin at the corners of his beak.

Iaras grinned and leapt intothe sky with a powerful stroke of his wings. If a few moments he was in the sky and speeding toward the village.

Jia groaned and opened her eyes to a nudging against her muzzle. They flashed wide when she saw her daughter in front of her, her expression anxious. Then she remembered. She bolted upright, swayed as the blood rushed to her head, then opened her wings. Sarai, get on my back. Daidrea's in trouble. she ordered. The black-gold hatchling clambered up her shoulder and settled at the juncture of her neck and shoulders. The gold-amethyst lit her eyes with light and beat her wings to raise herself into the air and begin to track her friend.

What would let Daidrea take control of the body again?

OOC: Hrmm Ive always thought about how Aerdiad would surface but not how Daidrea would resurface. Probably gonna have to figure it out as we go along eh?

Aerdiad smirked as the excitment within him could be held no longer. So he stood up on Iaras' saddle. Without any warning he jumped off, falling towards the village. As he was nearing the ground, he saw a completely oblivious guard who was patrolling. Aerdiad shifted his weight so that he was aiming for him. In seconds he crashed into the guard's back and faced-planted into the ground full force. He died instantly from the impact.
Aerdiad slowly got up and brushed himself off. Then he sneered aloud, "Thanks for 'breaking' my fall." Aerdiad then turned his attention to the buildings around him. "Heh.. cant have a party without fireworks." In a flash he began shooting fireballs from his palm to the buildings around him, setting them ablaze. It forced people to vacate their homes. Lots of cries began to fill the air for the ones that did not make it out.

Sarai cringed as her paws hit the earth. She knew where he was. She told Jia and they were off again. My dear, when I drop you off I want you to go right for Daidrea. Don't stop to help anyone, even if they ask for it. Get to him. If you can pin him down with your strength, then that's fine with me. Once you get to him either pin him or keep him busy so I can come up behind and knock him senseless. Alright? the black-gold nodded, then just waited. Finally they came to the town. Sarai opened her wings and drifted down to the ground, breaking into a run the moment she touched earth. She could feel him close by, standing mostly still, but the pulses she felt coming from him were magical. She hissed.

Iaras grinned and watched Aerdiad as he dropped down to the ground. He pulled in his wings and went in for a dive. His talons yearned for blood. He landed with a thud and Screeched, stunning the humans around him into a stupor. He lashed out with his foretalons, his eyes shining with glee.

Aerdiad chuckled lowly. "You know, you're really starting to piss me off. I would rather kill us all than give back control. Which Im contimplating of doing right now..." Aerdiad looked up to the sky. "If I cant have freedom then I will bring everyone in this village, including you, with me!" Aerdiad dropped his sword and raised both his hands in the air. The air began to hum with energy and Aerdiad began laugh hysterically.

(You remember that forbidden magic attack that Daidrea used in early, early SE? And if you read it...the thread with me, Erais, and redshurtgal? Its sorta like a kamakazee fire pillar. Daidrea nearly died twice using it.)

Yeah, I remember...Crap, Jia and Sarai's in trouble aren't they?

Jia's lips peeled back and she snarled. No! Daidrea, come back to me! she roared into Aerdiad's mind, and blasted her full power into him, scorching his Soul as she Read it in search for the true host. She knew he was there, she just had to find him. Wake up, Daidrea! I know your here! she bellowed.

Sarai knew she had to strike soon. Her unnatural strength could hold him down so he couldn't use magic easily, but then again, his posture now, and the laughter she heard from him, was scaring her half to death.

Jia snarled at Aerdiad and only increased her efforts. An then she thought of something. If was cruel and harsh, and she hated herself for doing it, but it might be her only chance. Daidrea, if you let him remain in control, he will hunt down and kill everyone you love that is still alive. I can almost guarantee it. Ella would be his first target, you know that. Then Mesaraih. Felecia. Fenirexes, Ebony, Zeke. Fight for them! Fight him back and take control of your body! she shouted. Elyrana would be disappointed if you gave up now, and I'm sure Erais would be as well. Fight back, if not for those that live, but for those that have passed! she cried desperately. Her daughter was almost in position to spring. Just a few more paces...
