Fallout 3
Has anyone played it? Or heard of it?
It is like Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, except instead of Midevil stuff, it's a post apocalyptic setting, with guns instead of swords, and mounds of debris instead of castles.

Re: Fallout 3
I have to disagree, the mechanics are very much the same. RPG/FPS You make decisions, these decisions affect how the game turns out for you. You run around, you make friends, you make enemies.
Not to say there aren't differences. The AI is definately improved, the theme of the game is different, the mood and story of the game is different, the class system is different.
But overall, gameplay mechanics are very much so similar.

Re: Fallout 3
Well, I'm playing the original fallout at the moment. It's fun, but rather frustrating to me because I'm a spoiled 3d rpg brat. It's hard to figure out the mechanics but I'm pretty sure it's awesome. The tool that spits out observations after you click on things is pretty amusing... that's about as far as I've gotten, until I figure out how to beat cave rats. I'm looking forward to when I can cop Fallout 3. Have you all done the addons to 3? Are the worth it?

Re: Fallout 3
The Pitt, Mothership Zeta, and Broken Steel are worth.
Operation Achorage is garbage. I have friends who are big into older RPG's like that. I too am a bigtime 3d rpg brat, I'm too stuborn to give others a try.
