character history: when he was a baby of about 2 urgals ambushed his family and slaughtered them but they left him for dead deep in Du Weldenvarden without killing him for some strange reason. An old and mysterious elf found him and took him in rasing him as his apprentice. One day while roaming the forest when he was 10 and found a white dragon egg which when he touched hatched and forever sealed his fate as a Shur'tugal. When his master found out he revealed that he was a dragon rider also and showed Hanaer his dragon which was green, he told Hanaer that him and his dragon had once been taught by Oromis and suffered worse injuries than Oromis. He shared with Hanaer what his injuries had been : he had been forced to watch as five aapprentices of his were killed but he had broken free and had to flee for his life deep into Du Weldenvarden. He then trained Hanaer for 15 more years, revealing powers of Hanaers that had laid non-existent until he showed Hanaer how to release them. To this day it remains a mystery as to how the urgals got to his village. Though he has vowed to kill any urgals he meets unless forced not to. He is now a Rebel Rider plotting against Galbatorix but wandering whether or not he should join him since urgals killed Galbatorixs dragon too.
