Probably, because Murtagh shouldn't have any reason to continue fighting Eragon.

Of course Murtagh will be allowed to live if he lives through the last battle. I think that Murtagh will change his true name though and the promises he made in the AL to Galbatorix will no longer apply. He will then fight agianst Galbatorix in the last battle.

I believe that Murtag will change his true name and he will fight Galbatorix with eragon in the last battle... or Eragon will find and some other Eldounari and he will kill Galbatorix and when he do that Murtag will be free from Galbatorix's magic.........

But if Galbatorix dies then Murtag will be free from his spell...

I think that he will because in the first book, Eragon has a dream that there were two dragons flying above a ship where he saw a man and a woman and many other people. However, there is a lone man crying and flailing. I think that Murtagh will live, but his dragon will die in the last battle.

Murtagh will live. He will change his true name and Eragon will kill galby. Remember Murtagh never wanted to serve galby. Murtagh and Nasuada will get together and rule Alagasia.

I d not think murtag will chnage his true name, becuase i remember reading that galbatorix pu a spell on him that would alert him when murtaghs true name was channged, but I do think that when galby is killed, eragon will let murtagh live, since they no longer have any reason to fight eachother.

if galbatorix dies, then murtaugh wont have to change his true name. a dead man cant force an oath on you. if galby dies, murtaugh will be free.
