Linnea is the elf that became the Menoa tree. her roots are her origins, which are her family.

But eragon already found the weapon under the menoa tree durig the blood oath celebration it was the dragons knowledge that made him like an elf

that wasn't UNDER it. and he didn't need a weapon. he needs it NOW that he doesn't have a weapon!!!

like you said her orgins are her roots and since she is the heart of the celebration and seeing how her orgin or roots are underground it is quite plausable

roots are figurative. and her origins are her FAMILY!!!

Solembum is very criptic. he's not going to say: "Linnea's family will give you Brom's sword". that would be boring. and it can easily be figurative.

I think the past riders and dragons are part of her roots / family.
It was metaphorically speaking. His weapon was his healing and elf-like qualities including speed, indurance, and fighting capabilities greater than the elves themselves. Why he still lost to Murtagh is because of the same reason Murtagh's power and dragon grew so quickly. Something to do with Galbatorix's powers.
He will receive a blue sword from the living elves as a gift after completing his training.
It also says his true name will be revealed to him by an elf. (Possibly Arya?)
Then he can use that to open the vault of souls and obtain Galby's true name and defeat him!!

i don't think so, because his second dragon didn't hatch for him, he is just forcing him, i don't know what color his first dragon was.

that's what we call, unlikely. Arya said that she had never heared of a sword physically under the tree. we have to base our theories on what we actually KNOW. 2 riders' swords are still intact. Brom lost his sword.

thusly, Brom's sword could have been recovered and is still intact. Roots also means origins, and Linnea's origins are her family, so Brom's sword could be with Linnea's family.

He is going to find it under the tree.
