where could murtagh be keepig his eldunari's?

maybe inside thorns hide, or stomach

maybe the were people outside of the burning plains and others still on the ship that were transferring the energy to him while holding the eldunari's them selves

I don't think murtagh has a lot of eldunari's....I think he might have one or two on a sack with thorn.

Maybe he embedded them in his armor. Though, that would be quite an unwieldy weight to carry around. Possibly, as it has been suggested, somewhere inside Thorn. (But not in his stomach, since stomach acids would dissolve it - a long and painful death of deaths for the Eldunari's dragon.)

No, Eragon has a discussion on a similar topic with Glaedr the soul is linked to it's body and cannot be moved the exception is the dragons but as far as we know they can only be moved to their eldunari.

Eragon would have noted that when he described Murtagh's armour on the BP as being polished steel all over.

I know it may sound crazy, but what if Murtagh is feeding off all or some of the Eldunari in Uru'baen? It would explain galby's desire to stay walled off in his citadel. It makes some degree of sense too, because the farther away you get from something, the less its energy is "worth" - like when Arya told Eragon to stay as close as possible to her and the twelve other elves during their first encounter with Thorn and Murtagh in Brisingr.

Just a thought I came up with on my 6th read.

There is a way round the magic over distance thing. Let's say eragon gives Saphira's eldunari to Arya and then goes off to fight Galby. Eragon could use the energy in Saphira to fight Galby while Arya and others feed energy into the eldunari. Eragon can then take the new energy in Saphira and continue fighting Galby.

The soul contains the energy and is linked to body and eldunari. Oromis mentions that with an Eldunari you can use the dragon's strength to aid you even if you are on the other side of Alagaesia.

Well obviously Oromis knows otherwise...

Galby is keeping all of his captured eldunari close at hand which is why (I think) he don't ride out to fight. It would cause him to leave some of his eldunari behind thuse weakening.

But Murtagh is under Galby's control so he can't disobey. But I still think Galby would only give him a few eldunari. Cause for every one he gives to Murtagh it weaken himself.
As for the location my guess would either be in a poutch on the saddles or within Thorn's body. Thats what I have to say xD

Galby might have shown Murtagh were he is hiding the eldunaries. If Murtagh changes his true name he could show Eragon were Galby is keeping his eldunaries.

I doubt Galby has as he knows that Murtagh has betrayed him before and will do so again at the next opportunity.

Galby might not have thought Murtagh might change his true name to betray him. Galby probably didn't show murtagh were the eldunaries were, but it is possible that he did.
