My first character who isn't a race of Alagaesia. And what can I say, I enjoy making evil characters. :twisted:

Name: He calls himself Zera.

Age: 102

Gender: Male

Skills:

Soul Discharge: He can discharge Soul energy through his body, which heightens the impact and power of his blows. His Soul Energy is similar to regular energy, but it's more powerful and flexible. He has more of a hold on it due to it being apart of his Soul. However, he uses regular energy more often except when he powers his blows. Whenever he strikes with his hand, scythe, leg, etc., he can discharge soul energy into the blow to add more power. The more he discharges, the stronger the blow. He can discharge the energy as light, fire, darkness, or just regular Soul Energy. Soul Energy takes longer to recover itself however, but he has a plentiful amount of it.

Demonic Purge: A dark aura resonates from Zera, stunning enemies it encounters.

Soul-Sight: Due to Zera's training with his Soul, he can see into someone else's Soul by sending a shadow around him that alerts him of people with a powerful Soul, which allows him to understand who could be a potential threat or not.

Demonic Magic: A language similar to the Ancient Language, except it has more of a sinister and dark feeling that's not unrelated to dark magic. Daysix had taught it to Zera as a language of a Soul Reaper. Zera uses both the Ancient Language and the Demonic Language. It is very powerful, and being a Soul Reaper, Zera doesn't have to speak to activate a spell of this language.

Soul Reaper: Zera classifies himself as a Soul Reaper, in that he reaps Souls. The Souls he reaps are infused with his own soul, giving him more strength. However, only souls reaped from a naturally magical being will actually make him stronger, so he slays dragons, elves, and any other magical creature he can find in Alagaesia. However, he is not granted access to Ellesmera or the Varden, so finding Elves and dragons to reap is difficult.

Race: A mix of Soul Reaper and something else. The unknown portion of his heritage is where he gets his black wings.

Hair: black and wavy, falling on the sides of his face.

Eyes: Pure black

Home Village: Veridge, an average-sized city in Nia.

Parents: Unknown, grew up on his own.

Siblings: None that he knows of.

Personality: Zera will only do something if it benefits himself in some way. Whenever he finds an elf, he won't hesitate in reaping it's soul. He has several contacts throughout Alagaesia, and their souls are the only souls he won't reap purely for the sake of more Soul Energy, only because his subordinates help him in various ways, and he would lose more than gain to kill them. He shows himself to have no emotions, except his natural pleasure in reaping someone's soul. He thinks that emotions restrain his power and considers them worse than useless. He can't completely block emotions, however, and usually has emotions of pride, pleasure, or anger going on inside of him. He just doesn't allow it to show. He is purely evil and would rather kill someone and take their possessions than help them and receive a reward, because killing them and taking their things is quicker, and rewards are usually simple, useless items that only the owner considers useful. He usually accomplishes tasks discreetly and sometimes indirectly, persuading one or more of his subordinates to complete the task. He occasionally plans on taking over Alagaesia purely for the sake of having access to all of the Elves and dragons in the land. Of course, he would also enjoys having a hold on political power as well. The only time he'll do something to actually help someone other than himself directly is if it somehow goes back around to help him indirectly.

History: Zera, for some reason, doesn't remember his parents at all. All he remembers is being dropped down at a doorstep in Veridge. He knew that the people who watched over him after he was dropped at someone's doorstep weren't his actual parents, even though he was dropped at the doorstep at the age of one. However, what he didn't know was that he was Immortal, and that he would reap people's souls later in life. The family watching over him were in for a deep surprise.

His wings didn't reach full growth until he was twenty years old, and they were only visible as wings when he was eighteen, so the family watching over him were under the impression that he was a human, like the rest of them. However, when he reached eight years old, he had come across magic. The family had suspected nothing, and had simply thought that Zera was a special human. His foster mother's thoughts changed when she caught him torturing a squirrel with the magic that they had come to admire him about. He had been restricted from using magic when his foster mom told his foster father about the torture, and they had started to grow suspicion towards their seemingly special foster son. However, their suspicion wasn't enough for them to make any action, and thus, they were extremely vulnerable to Zera. Even though he had been restricted from using magic, he still used it whenever he could, in private. At twelve years old, he had secretly sought out a tutor, and had told his foster parents that he was visiting a therapist in response to his torture of the squirrel, which made his foster parents throw away any suspicion they still had. The tutor himself have off a...different appearance. He had always walked around in a large cloak, his hood up, hiding his face.

For the next year, Zera's magic skills kept secretly growing. His tutor was astounded by his progress, thinking that he was just a regular human. One day, Zera had accidentally shot his tutor with a blow of Soul Energy in training. And then, his tutor had begun to show suspicion of his power. At age fourteen, dark bumps had became visible on Zera's back. It was then that Zera had realized that he himself wasn't human. He hid the bumps by wearing a large coat everywhere he went, even in the summer time, when which he had to cool the air inside his jacket to keep from passing out in the heat.

At age sixteen, Zera had realized that he wouldn't be able to hide his wings any longer. In the morning, at 6 a.m., when everyone was asleep, he threw off his jacket, revealing the now large bumps, which had started to change form into wings. He murdered his foster parents, and began walking towards his tutor's house, about to kill him as well, when he realized that the house was empty. Just as Zera turned to leave the house, he heard the door crack open, and his tutor stood in the doorway, except, that he wasn't the tutor Zera had known for years. The cloak he had worn everyday was now replaced with a sleeveless torso, and large wings with a ten foot wingspan folded themselves out. It was then Zera had learned what he himself was, and what his tutor was. It was something he had only scarcely read of in a book in his tutor's library: a Soul Reaper.

It was then that the true training had begun. His tutor taught him things in magic that were restricted to Soul Reapers. The training took many years to master, and at age 84, Zera left the small island of Nia, flying towards Alagaesia. As a goodbye gift, his tutor, who had told Zera his name was Daysix, had given him a black, double-bladed scythe, specifically used for the purpose of Soul Reaping. Zera had greatly enjoyed the gift, and once he had arrived at Alagaesia, he began practicing his scythe daily until it had become a perfect extension of his arm. Every day, month, and year since, he has been working on a plan to take over Alagaesia, working with subordinates he meets in various cities around Alagaesia, and training.

Weapons: Zera's weapon, Soul Slayer. It is a black, gray, and white double-bladed scythe, smithed by a Soul Reaper, passed to Daysix, and given to Zera. It is a perfect extension of Zera's arm, and Zera is quite skilled with it. It's a blade meant for a Soul Reaper as it takes the souls of its victims. Likes: Soul Reaping, destruction, training, and planning to take over Alagaesia.

Dislikes: Emotions

Fears/Weaknesses: That he'll never accomplish his goal to take over Alagaesia.

Animal Companions: None.

Character's Physical Description: Zera stands at 5'7, and is quite thin and muscular. He believes that in order for one to train the mind, one must train the body, and therefore trains physically as well as magically. He keeps his muscle balanced but trains his leg muscle a little more than the other parts of his body because he enjoys a power and speed combination that allow for him to deliver quick, powerful blows. He wears a black and red cloak but keeps the hood down. His wings are black and feather-like.

Dreams for the Future: To capture Alagaesia as well as all of the elve's and dragon's souls.

Reasons for Dreams: In order to gain access to parts hidden, he wants to control all of Alagaesia as Galbatorix does now so he can get to the elves and any remaining dragons.
