Re: Dreams
Another weird dream.
It is weird how dreams don't normally last that long, but when you wake up it's lasted for the whole night!

Re: Dreams
*Shrugs* sometimes mine seem to last for way longer...and they've been abnormally vivd lately.
I had one last night where I was at my Granny-Sue and Paw-Paw's house, and Paw-Paw and mum were sitting next to me on the couch, and Paw-Paw decided that we should watch Supernatural, except that one of the characters wound up saying something about someone acting like, and I quote, "Fish and Chips" or something along that line, and Paw-Paw and mum exchange the horrified glances and I'm like "Yeah, sometimes Dean is pretty bad..." and Paw-Paw is looking really upset, and so is mum, and I seemed to think whatever Dean said (I'm pretty sure it was fish and chips XD) was bad as well, so it was really really weird.
Then I had one where I was looking for something, couldn't find it, and wound up in the waiting room of a doctor's office (One that we used to go to quite a lot) and was waiting for someone to come out, but they weren't, so I was there until like closing time and then this guy in a white labcoat told me to leave and come back tomorrow, but I didn't want to leave, so got sort of locked in and had to wait for whoever it was to get out of there. Re: Dreams
yeah me too (when i manage to sleep)
i hate how dreams mess with your mind. for example, i dreamt i won the lottery and instead of giving me money, they gave me a million cases of AMP (which is better anyway lol). But then, before I could drink any, I woke up.
And there was no AMP =(
but if i get a dream more complex than that, i always forget it. but i have a really bad memory anyway lol

Most of my dream are about sweets. I had a dream that I walked into a sweet shop - a corner shop, in the middle of nowhere - and bought a pack of edible fly's...

Re: Dreams
I have dreams like that all the time. I had a dream of the deep tissue massage that my mom gave me that inevitably led to nerve damage, the day before.

Re: Dreams
It's called Deja Vu. I have it three times a week, and the range of the event happening is a day to a month.
Strangely though, I only remember the dream when the event in question happens, so I realize that I predicted this happening. Though my Deja Vu dreams are usually of something random. A phrase on tv, a simple action like turning around to see someone, or walking down a street are things that appear to me. Not really eventful.

Re: Dreams
Hey, Bris, here's one for you to decipher XD
Last night I had what is probably the weirdest one I've ever had...it was PSYCHO, like, seriously psycho.
So basically, there was this girl who looked like a version of Dakota Fanning, only older, had longer hair, and was actually cool and wearing clothes while not being over-dramatic.
There was also a random guy who had this awesome voice, but I couldn't see his face. He was wearing a black tuxedo though...
Then there was a man who sounded a little like Mozzie, from White Collar, but wasn't him. He was just bald and short, but did sooo not look like Mozzie.
Anyways, it was a little bit of a spy setting and the Mozzie-Man kept ranting about that they needed to watch out for *Insert name here* I forgot the dude's name...it was something odd, though. He said that this guy shows up, kidnaps people, and does horrid things to him (What he said was not PG-13 in any way...)
So then they go in this building that was very wide and open, with mostly tile floors but with a little bit of carpet. There were very nice armchairs everywhere, except in the middle of the room, where there were these stiff chairs with no arms...they looked like chairs one would find in a church building, almost. There were people in all of the chairs, of which there were about twelve. At the front of the group there was a chalkboard with vague writing on it, and there was this man in a labcoat talking about whatever was on the chalkboard.
The guy, the girl, and the Mozzie-Man were standing a few feet away, talking amongst themselves very quietly. Then suddenly, there are these drum beats, sort of like a
"One! Two! Threefour! One! Two! Threefour! ONETWO! THREEFOUR! ONETWO THREEFOUR!" over and over and over again, and then there were words with them, something like "Absent questions, absent questions!"
And the Mozzie-guy said that *Unnamed threat here* was coming, and that everyone was in danger. The words kept getting faster and faster, but kept the same rhythm.
Then this man walks in. He was very scruffy, very sort of slimy and greasy looking. He had this short, messy blonde-brown hair, and his face was covered in stubble of the same colour. He had very very flaky skin. I couldn't see his eyes, but his mouth was set in a sort of grim line. He was wearing a white shirt with an unbuttoned red and white plaid shirt over top, as well as baggy jeans that were absolutely full of holes and rolled up at the bottom. He was wearing these massive sneakers, and his hands were huge.
He was carrying two pieces of stiff paper, one white, one black. Anyways, he walked into the middle of all the chairs, then he just grabbed this one person and made them stand up, held the paper in front of their face, sort of grinned, and then vanished.
The guy and the girl sort of exchanged glances, then they left. The Mozzie-guy was just complaining left and right, all "I told you so!" and things like that.
Then it went dark and the next thing I knew they were in this old, creepy looking house. There were lights hanging from the ceiling by long cords, and they were sort of swinging back and forth. In between each of the lights, there were these huge patches of space that were so dark that you couldn't see a thing.
Mozzie-guy ran through first, trying to get to the light spots as quick as possible, until he got to the end of the hall, then the guy went. But then the girl ran and got stuck in one of the dark areas, then those words started again, "Absent questions," over and over again. She just stood there, looking terrified, and she was shaking really hard.
In between the swinging lights, the slimy-looking fellow was coming, holding his two pieces of paper and looking rather sad.
But then the guy whose face I couldn't see ran into the dark area, grabbed the girl, and pulled her with him to the end of the hall, where there was a door. They opened the door and went inside.
In the room, there were several boxes all over the place, and there were these long, wooden poles with various sharp objects on the end. One was a very short blade that looked like it was about an inch long, not very useful for defense, but the girl picked it up. The Mozzie-guy had one that looked a bit like a meat-hook, and the faceless guy didn't have anything.
Then the guy with the paper came, with those same words again, "Absent questions," and got the Mozzie-Guy. Then he vanished again, but the words didn't stop.
After that, the faceless man said he was going to go "Check it out" and he left the room. The girl, still shaking, sort of looks around for a minute before she decides to just lie down, because she's tired. There was a bed in the room, and she climbed onto it. The words were still going, faster and faster and faster, but then I woke up, so I don't know what happened..
Apparently my mum was just getting back from going to the bathroom when I woke up, so I was just like "OH GAH DON'T LET THAT BE HIM!" and cowering in plcae until I was sure it was just mum XP I haven't been that terrified by a dream in a long time. :grumble:

Re: Dreams
This. . . This is a hard dream to interpret. I've read it multiple times, reviewed the possible meanings. . . But I cannot seem to connect them together into a pattern. The only thing that I can truly deduce from this is that it deals with the interchanging aspects of your personality; the struggles and conflicts between the individual parts of yourself that make up who you are. The Girl represents mainly yourself. The faceless man in the tuxedo represents your sophisticated, refined, masculine side that is suppressed in some way. The short Fozzie-guy could simply be more of the talkative side of yourself. . . And the man that comes with the drums and the words could be another mini-personality that threatens to rise up and cause you harm in some way. . . What it is, I cannot tell. The rest is completely uncertain to me. . . I cannot make heads or tails of it. Sorry. The phrase "Absent Questions" haunts me whenever I try to solve it. . . I cannot find the meaning, but I feel that it is significant. Keep that in mind, and hopefully with my slight insight, you can figure out the rest. I too have been troubled by strange dreams. I had one last week that left me in a severe depression and out of touch with reality for an entire day. . . It probably would have lasted longer if I didn't have some outside help. The dream started with me waking up at 6:00am. I got up, got dressed, and went outside. My house was now in a different location. I was in this swamp-like forest, which had a solemn blue-grey color to the entire area. In front of my house was a muddy, debris filled river that ran in a straight line in both directions, and a dirt trail that ran along it. I went outside and began to do something (I think it was chopping firewood or something like that) and a small boy, wearing overalls and a straw hat comes to me with a large white dog. He asks me if I can help him take this dog to it's owner which was down the trail. I agree, and we walk in silence for a few hours down the trail. As we walk we see different things off to our side. While the trail, river, and the trees around it had this dark blue-grey color still, the outside areas were in full color. I only remember that to our right we passed a large, green field surrounded by a thick forest, and then to our left we curved around a large hill that had bright golden grass. Soon, we find potholes in the road, and then loud noises; a tank could be seen at a distance, along with soldiers of some kind as if a battle was in progress. The dog runs ahead of us and we both chase it and run for our lives while we escaped from the fire, which was blowing more holes in the ground. We escape the battle, and we come across a fork in the road, with an old house at the side. The dog was waiting patiently next to an old man who was sitting on the stairs. The boy pointed out that the man was the dog's owner, and he thanked me. I look up and see a rainbow, except all the colors were grayed out except for red. It began to get dark, so I ran home, and went to bed. I woke up (still in the dream) at 6:30, and the house location was back to where it used to be, except we were a lot closer to the mountains surrounding the valley in which I live. I got up, and began to get on the internet as I usually do and browse around. Then after a while, a friend of mine (I will only give you his first name: Hunter) called me and asked if I would be willing to just take a simple hike up the mountain trail with him. I agree, and I grab some few simple supplies and after asking my parent's permission I go up and meet him at the trailhead. (Which was now only a short walk from my house) I walk up with him, chatting about random things, until I look up and see another rainbow, except now the orange and red were visible. Right then my vision whites out. The white out clears, and I feel an unusual heavy load on my back. I look up, and I'm with my scout troop. We were backpacking, and after allowing my eyes to adjust to the glare, I found that we were in a huge, sandy desert, at the peak of one of the tallest dunes. I basically start questioning everyone where I was, what day it was, and why I was there. They simply look at me as if I was crazy and started explaining (or more like they were attempting to remind me) that I was on a ten day backpacking trip in the desert mainly so that I could have some time away from the "things that were going on at home." I look at them in confusion and I demand to know further, but they insisted that they needed to hike to the camping spot before they could explain anything more. I reluctantly agreed, and followed them to the spot. Along the way, we had to hike along a narrow trail that ran over a rocky hill, and my scout leader looked up and began exclaiming at the large rainbow in the sky. I look up, and I see that it has red, orange, and now yellow. I reach the camping spot, and while everyone else is setting up tents, my scout leader begins explaining to me that it had been about 10 days since I went on that hike with Hunter, and all he knew was that some trouble had arisen at my home, and since then I had been acting strangely. And because of this, my parents agreed to send me off to escape any more stress, and to clear my head. To put it simply, I begin having an emotional breakdown, and it progressed to the point where they reluctantly agreed to call someone over in a truck to bring me home. A few hours later, I end up at my grandparents house, yet their lawn was now a large garden. My grandparents said that I needed to wait at their house for a day or so before I could go home, or else there would be some legal issues. I reluctantly agree, even though they wouldn't explain anything to me. As I go inside, (it was night time by now) I look out and I see a rainbow aura around the moon. It now had green. I went upstairs, got some fresh clothes on and went to bed. The next day I wake up at 7:00, and my grandparents take me home. I run into the door and down the hallway that leads to their room. But as I do, I pass by my room and I stop cold; my room was completely empty. My mother called out my name in surprise, and I shake myself and resume to go to their room. They were sitting on the bed, talking to each other, and they're staring at me in total shock. They ask why in the world did I want to come back, and I told them that I had no memory of the past 10 days. They look at each other, with a hint of understanding in their expressions. My parents then ask me to sit down and they begin explaining that since I went on that hike, I was drastically different. I didn't go on the computer nearly at all, I didn't socialize to anyone, I would angrily yell at my brothers, almost in a terrifying way, and would attempt to harm them. I was kicked out of my school for my behavior. I would rarely eat, drink, or sleep, but rather just pace around in anger. I destroyed nearly everything in my room, and anything that my parents would give me to try and cheer me up. And when my dad bought me the copy of Inheritance that I was eager to get, I immediately attempted to throw it away. I was such a damaging influence, that my brothers began to act out, and after my 2nd oldest brother was arrested and put into juvenile detention for drug use and attempted suicide, child services took away the other two for their own safety. And even though I was now the only one that was allowed to stay in my parent's care, they said that they didn't even want to have anything to do with me at that time, so I was sent away for that ten day backpacking trip. . . To see if having some quality time with friends and seeing if the work will help calm myself. After the explanation, my parents told me that they realized that I must have been a totally different person, because now I seemed normal, albeit, extremely upset because of the senseless destruction of all the personal property that I had, and even more, the loss of my brothers. They said that because the case for custody was still going on, I could use my amnesia to try and help them win the case. . . But for now, I was to simply wait, staying with them for as long as I wanted. I began to break down while attempting to apologize to my parents, and they tearfully hugged me back, while saying again and again how much they loved me and forgave me. (While at the same time, I could see a nearly complete rainbow outside the window. It was only missing violet) They then set up an air mattress in my empty room once it started to get late, they kissed me goodnight, and as they left, they gave me one last sad, but hopeful glance, saying "We will get your brothers back. . . I hope" before closing the door. I lie down, overwhelmed by the amount of loss that I had just endured, and then I look out the open window, seeing now a bright, fully complete rainbow peeking out of the brush around my house. With tears starting to drip down my face I turn my shoulder away, and I slowly cry myself to sleep. It was then, when I woke up for REAL at 7:30am, and I still had tears in my eyes. I look around at my room, which still had everything in it, and I realize it was all a dream. I break down crying again for a long time, but this time, out of relief and joy. The most haunting thing about this dream was it's realism. Apart from the first part, the rest had few things that were out of the ordinary, and the vividness was so extreme that I thought it was all real. However now, after carefully studying the dream and seeing it for what it really was and the significance behind it, I have been haunted less by it. But just to know, when it happened, I was extremely depressed and my sense of reality had been completely thrown off. It was to the point where I basically sat in bed all day, not even willing to move. It was one of the most terrifying dreams I've had, and I hope to not have another one like it.

Re: Dreams
I had a very weird dream about this criminal who is trying to steal equations. But ther's this one which is so protected he can't get to and it so happens to be that I'm the guard of it.
The criminal manages to get into the room where the equation is stored, I'm come charging in heroically - but out of no where - get shot...
The End Can't remember much of it.

Re: Dreams
@Imposter Your dream to me means that you felt that someone was stealing ideas, and although you tried to protect yours, they somehow got away and you feel disappointed in yourself because you failed. My dreams have been getting all the more confusing and long recently. . . I recently had a dream that I was in the HP universe. I had a really cool stylized wand (which I can easily draw from memory) and everything, but I forgot what the dream was about. . .

Re: Dreams
I remember my dream from a few nights ago, where I was visited by four faeries. Now bear in mind, these were like warrior faeries, though female. One was red with glowing fire, another dark green with vines and flowers, another blue and swaying like water and finally...the silver one...She was metalic and approached me from the air, as she tried to tell me something. She touched me, and somehow I became a part of them.
It was definately odd.

It was definately odd. This is a very symbolic dream, though it can go over a broad range of problems you face in life. The faeries appearing signifies that you are searching yourself and your individual aspects for advice in a situation. The Fire Fairy signifies your masculinity, passion, energy, and anger. The Water Fairy signifies your unconscious, knowledge, spirituality, and emotions. The Plant Fairy signifies growth, care, love, and fertility. And the Silver Fairy signifies your femininity, and intuition.Touching one of the faeries and becoming one of them may signify that you have found the solution in one of those certain qualities. By being approached and touched by the Silver Fairy, it may mean that the solution was found through the things that she signifies, being the more feminine qualities of yourself and intuition. (And bear in mind that no person is completely masculine or feminine. One has qualities of both, and sometimes one side may be needed for certain situations than the other) Or it may need that you need to use those certain qualities to find that solution. That's what I'm getting.

Re: Dreams
I've had a few weird dreams lately;
Last night's dream was:
I had just gotten a package in the mail; it was wrapped in plain brown paper, but there were these pale pink ribbons around it *Sort of baby pink, really*. I sat down on the couch, next to the window, and opened the package. Inside, there was this leather-bound book.
I opened the book, and saw several of my own drawings, writings, and sketches. Confused about how I would've been mailed my own work, I checked the address on the package; it said that it was from two of my friends from homeschool group *Who I haven't seen in several weeks each*, so I went back to looking through the book.
On one page, there were four panels made out of this flat, hard material. They were covered in strangely-coloured patterns of paint. I don't know why, but I assumed that it was coding of some sort, in the dream. The first one was dark blue, with four darker blue squares on it. The second, was a sort of greenish black, with an orange swirl-print on it. The other two were sort of blurry and I couldn't make them out.
Anyways, I turned the page, continued looking through the book, and I found this page that was covered in envelopes. So many envelopes, I'm not sure of the exact number, but there were several of them.
I picked one up, a pale pink one with a red wax seal, and opened it, and my mum started talking excitedly, something about 'See? You've still got friends.'. I told her that I guessed my friends hadn't forgotten about us after all, and looked inside the envelope.
It said something about being a 'birthday kit', and had these little tiny leaves of paper in it, each with different writing on it. I specifically remember a small, glittery, silver star sticker being on a piece of paper inside the envelope.
My thoughts went into something about it being a bit girly, and handed the envelope and its contents to mum before looking at the other letters.
Then my former best friend's mum walked in. She looked sort of flustered, and asked to talk to mum, so I went into the kitchen to give them some privacy. They talked about something, but I'm not sure what, then the woman decided to leave.
She hadn't yet gotten out of the living room when she called me over, so I went to see what she wanted. She then informed me that her daughter had accidently given a book I'd loaned them to her cousin, who was getting married.
Basically, I wasn't going to get my book back.
She apologised and said they weren't going to pay for a replacement, and that it had been a total accident. I remember trying not to cry and telling her that it was alright, while inwardly fuming about 'how could they possibly give away a borrowed book'.
After that, I woke up.
Aside from that, I keep dreaming about my cat dying or being horribly injured for some reason.

Re: Dreams
The dream could have meant that you may have missed an opportunity to truly utilize your creative talents. Or could mean that you have an opportunity now, yet you have a limited time to do so.
Your dead cat dreams usually mean that you fear something from your past is going to or is haunting you.
I recently had a dream that could easily be turned into an entire fanfiction for Avatar: the Last Airbender. I wrote it down, and I may actually use it sometime in the future. It was quite good too, and very detailed.

Re: Dreams
I love dreams like that, ones about adventures and fantasy.I actually have a few clips written down that I want to use in my writing.
A couple weeks ago, I dreamt I was flying at some point but I can't recall the meaning. It had something to do with my boyfriend...Oh yeah, I was flying and then my bf and I had our new apartment (we haven't gotten it yet so this was a few weeks ago) and then his mom walks into the room when we're on the couch and then he sends her away.
Then a couple nights ago I dreamt that I walked into his house, to get the rest of my stuff, and then his mom is there yelling at me to get out or she's going to call the police.
I wish I wouldn't have these dreams, because I rather not think about her or his family after what had happened between all of us. It kind of stinks. I can't remember my dream from last night but I'm kind of glad.

Re: Dreams
It could just mean that you feel free or gained new found freedom with your bf? Again, this is another adventure dream, and it was actually rather spectacular. I dreamt that I was in the Kung Fu Panda world. Most likely sometime after the events of KFP2. The world around me was lush and surreal, filled with trees of bright green leaves and pink blossoms, and surrounded by tall mountains. Lord Shen, the main villain of the second movie, was walking with me, somehow surviving his defeat. I remember that we were talking with each other as we walked down a wide trail, but I don't remember what we were talking about. (I do believe that he had turned good though, so he was no danger to me) Then eventually we came across someone who blocked our path. It was a crow, slightly humanoid in his stance and silent. He wore ornate, green robes, an Asian woven straw hat, and a white flag bandanna that had a red circle (Either it was Japanese or Korean. I forget.) wrapped around the sleeve of his right wing. I walk up to meet him but Shen blocks me with his wing, warning me about the Crow. (again, I don't remember what he warned me about, but I remember nodding in agreement that I was no match, and letting Shen handle it) Shen then walked slowly up to this Crow, hiding his feather blade shruiken in his sleeves. Shen began the attack, which caused the crow to respond by leaping into the air to dodge the flying razor. The crow then landed on a nearby branch with fluid movements, standing on one foot. Shen launched three more darts towards the Crow, and he responded by flapping his wings, deflecting the darts with air currents. Shen then brings out his Pudao (his long, wavy-bladed weapon) and cut down the branch upon which Crow was perched. Lunging at the Crow, Shen engages in fast-paced hand to hand combat, twirling the weapon with increasing ferocity and using his long tail feathers to sweep and distract his opponent. The Crow proved to be an even match to Shen's attacks, weaving around the weapon and even deflecting the blade with his wings. The fight progresses on, both in the air and on the ground for some time, the battle becoming ever more exciting with each second, and then suddenly we were in the air, falling from a great height. But I was more fixed on the battle instead of my own safety, and watched as Shen and the Crow fought each other in mid air, switching between falling and gliding as they attempted to make the first blow. We began getting extremely close to the ground and it looked like Shen was about to make a hit, but right then I woke up. It was really frustrating because that was an intense battle scene, and I really wanted to know who won. The dream was actually so vivid that I was able to make a sketch of this Crow from memory. The art is a bit sloppy since I did it in such a haste, but it's a good representation of what I saw. Master Crow

Re: Dreams
Last night I had a very unsettling dream that my dad was still alive, and me and my brother found out, and went to see him. He was some sort of pilot, but he'd just been fired for some reason, and he wanted us to take these tag things back to mum, because for some reason he wasn't allowed to see her, wasn't really even allowed to see her. Mum was back at the house, angsting about the fact that she wasn't allowed to see dad for whatever reason, but then me and my brother got back with the tags and suddenly mum was talking as if we'd just watched a really good war movie, not experienced something in real life. I was trying to get her to pay attention to dad, trying to figure out why we couldn't see him, why he couldn't come back, but it was like she couldn't hear me. I woke up actually crying. Freaked me out to no end.
I also had a dream about some poor little mage-like guy. Don't know what he was up to, but it was some sort of important scouting thing. Anyways, he was in this really dark area, sort of like the edge of a a forest, and there were a few cliff-faces, some waterfalls, that sort of thing. The stars were this insanely vivi blue. But this mage, he looked really very young, and sort of lost/confused. He ran into this man in a red robe, and the man sort of grabbed him by the upper arm and started shaking him, asking some questions. I didn't understand most of what got said. But then the guy got this weird grin and told the mage-guy to take someone a message for him, and then started randomly hitting him. He carried on for quite some time, and the mage looked pretty bad afterwards. Then the guy in red left, and this girl showed up. She didn't look worried or anything, but asked what had happened in this sort of overly calm voice. The mage wouldn't tell her, and then she just left and the mage sort of crawled off into the forest.
My dreamworld is getting weird...hope I have another SF dream soon...

Re: Dreams
Haha, just woke up from the most vivid dream. I'm going to write it here so I don't forget.
Basically I dreamt that I was volunteering at a marine rescue center/hospital, which I remember was located on the shore of a bay surrounded by pine topped cliffs. It was a very majestic view, and I knew it was on the west coast, as the sun set on the ocean horizon. I don't know where it could have been though. Maybe Northern California or maybe even Oregon, considering the temperate weather. (Yeah, it was that vivid)
Anyways, a new arrival comes in and it turns out to be a white dolphin with bleeding injuries that appeared to be from a shark. I saw the medical staff work feverishly on the creature, bandaging and stitching for over an hour until they gave me and a few assistants the dolphin to wean back to health. When it woke up and we were allowed to enter the water with it, it was shy at first, but it opened up over a day or so of work, but we kept it gentle considering the injuries. (I don't remember going anywhere except the rescue center so going home must have been skipped) Over the next few days, I assume, we grew attached to the young dolphin as well as it did to us as it gained more and more energy. (I don't remember what we called it, but "Derpy" rings a bell)
Then one day, after playing with it in the bay (which was sanctioned off as a larger swimming area) with a bunch of other rescued dolphins, a group of poachers came in the night to take the dolphin. However, they didn't know that I had remained behind to take the night shift for the dolphin and the other animals, so when I hear the door being busted down, I suspect something is up and after hitting the silent alarm, hide behind a pile of supplies to watch. Soon enough, too guys, both wearing leather jackets and with facial features that I can easily remember, came into the area, nets in hand. To distract them, I shrink back silently into a storage room and make a sound to bring one of them there. I knew it was dangerous, but I knew it had worked when I heard a low voice say "Prepare the net. . . I'll check it out."
The man, a tall individual who had dirty blonde spiky hair, a sort of long face with blue eyes and a thin beard, wearing a leather jacket, dirty white t-shirt underneath, and black pants walked around until he was at the doorway of the storage room, but wouldn't go any farther in. So I decide to walk out of the shadows and make my entrance. It wasn't a big one, due to my stature, and he chuckled slightly thinking that I was going to fight him. I grab a leather harness that lay next to my side and swung it as a weapon. The man, apparently deciding he was going to play along, undid his belt and held it in the same way. We began to twirl them around for a few seconds before I attempt to strike. I miss, and he immediately strikes me two times in the arm. It stung, but I didn't relent. I then move close to him so that it was harder to hit me, and then I slap him on the wrist with the belt. He recoils from the pain, which allowed me to kick him hard in the shin, bringing him to his knees, before I wrap the belt around his neck, and pull just hard enough to constrict the blood to his brain. (A little trick I learned. It is dangerous though so only do so in the dream world or in dire situations) He struggled for a few seconds, landing a few elbows in my ribs, but then he passed out.
His accomplice was already curious when the sounds of fighting had suddenly stopped. "Hank?" The more overweight, shorter man called in a slightly British accent, "Hank did you get him?" The man pulled out a knife from what I could see, and was slowly moving towards my location. This time I walked out unarmed and faced the individual. However, this one wasn't cocky and kept a firm hold of his weapon. We closed distances very slowly, and when he was within a few feet, he lunged. I was prepared though, and moved my body out of the way while grabbing his arm and pulling it up. Now open, I give him a swift crotch kick, before I ball my free hand into a fist and ram the side of it against his temple, knocking him out in a swift blow. With the two poachers taken down I grab some zip ties that were located in the storage room and handcuffed them.
Then of course, after a while they woke up, both with vicious headaches and scared expressions when they find the police already there to pick them up. I return to the dolphin tank, satisfied and after talking with the officers about what happened and the last thing I remember of the dream is petting the white creature and muttering, "You're safe now."

Re: Dreams
I keep dreaming about my cat dying again. Hate it when that happens.
But last night I had a rather strange dream as well. Basically it was this very dark place, with stone walls. It looked like a classic dungeon, really. And there was this man there, he looked sad, at first. But then some doors near the back opened and these men dressed as guards brought in this prisoner. A young guy, about fifteen, maybe a little bit older. Anyway, then the first guy looked sort of excited.
Then one of the 'guards' told the man to find out from the prisoner where something was hidden, and told him that he'd been givin 'permission to get as close as he wants, but save the best for last'.
Anyways, the guards leave the prisoner with the man. The man was very pale, sort of balding with little tufts of hair. He was gaunt, almost skeletal, and his veins were pretty visable through his skin, sort of this vivid blue colour. He was wearing this gray attire, sort of like a robe or something like that, with several belts going around his waist and all across him.
So he gets this wicked grin (his teeth were downright foul) and he takes the prisoner and basically terrorises him pretty badly. Used all sorts of devices, asked questions and all that. By the time he seemed close to finished, he had the prisoner too frightened to move or make a sound without first being told to. After that, the guy torturing him gets sort of restless and mumbles something about his permissions, then drags the poor prisoner upright and then it was sort of blurry, but when I saw it again the prisoner's face was all messed up. It looked like he'd bitten through his lip several times or something like that, but then he was taken outside where there was this huge crowd of these strange looking creatures. And the bad guy...ah...did things...that he ought not to have done. I was horrified, like 'dude, why am I dreaming this?' but then I 'woke up' and realised that the prisoner was sort of...right there.
Apparently I was supposed to be helping this other guy patch up the prisoner, but the prisoner was sort of losing it on us and wouldn't let us help. But it was weird because the guy kept calling for help, but he wasn't talking to me and the other guy; he was screaming for the guy who'd hurt him in the first place. Then for a moment (just a moment) it was like I was him. Then I 'woke up' again and was the guy who'd hurt him. And there were these hideous creatures everywhere. Vaguely humanoid but all sort of oily and black, with no faces or anything. They were like some sort of vapour that would hover in place, with the shape of a human. I finally woke up for real. But it was insane.
Then I had this other dream where me and my brother were in this dark room full of mirrors, and there was a storm outside. I don't know if the power was out or what, but there was someone else in the room with us and I was getting freaked out to no end (Yeah, I'm still scared of the dark. I've gotten over being ashamed of that by now XD) so I reached for the light to chain on the ceiling fan, to turn on the light, but then this sort of woman rushed toward me, and I fell, actually felt it when I hit the ground. And then I woke up and it took me a moment to realise I was awake.

Re: Dreams
First off my dream started as me and my mom had to move to Cuba, and I was worried about anacondas getting into the house and eating my cat. Eventually one did get in, but I busted it in the head with something (can't remember what) and I killed it. Then a bunch of chicks I graduated with showed up and we all started eating ice cream. After that some old black lady zombies showed up and started chasing us for eating their ice cream, which really freaked me out and I wanted to wake up, but I was running so fast I couldn't. Finally I water-bended the leader and froze her in place. I thought that was pretty cool until she started to melt the ice and I was freaking out again.
I thought I was done for, but then the real leader of the old black lady zombie brigade showed up and told them to leave me alone. Thankfully I woke up after that, 'cause I hate zombies and that dream was really creeping me out. Needless to say I was dog-tired when I woke up.
Why is it that when you dream you're running, you feel tired when you wake up? -_-

Re: Dreams
Dude. That. is AWESOME. *High fives you* Sounds like an epic dream, Mellon Nin!
All I dreamed about last night was this evil Asian guy in a very tiny house, a lazy cat, the evil Asian guy being evil (He got a bunch of tacks on the floor, then pushed some guy onto them) a broken screen door, some guy who looked like Mr. Miyagi, and being really freaked out about the girls' lavatory at Wal-Mart...

Re: Dreams
It isn't a complete dream, but the one I had last night kind of blended with reality.
Now, apparently i was dreaming that somebody was telling me about some breakfast that was completely fictional and never happened.... definitely a weird thing to dream about. Then my sister came to wake me up for breakfast, but the only thing I thought was, "The breakfast never happened so if I get up and go to breakfast, it will make it canon." Of course, my sister didn't quite get it when I told that I couldn't go to breakfast because that breakfast never happened and if I went, it would happen and would thus be canon.

Re: Dreams
It's been harder to remember dreams ever since I watched Inception...dunno if I psyched myself out and that's why, or what...but last night I had one that I remember relatively well for the first time in ages.
There was this mostly-abandoned trainyard, and the sky was all dreary like it was either getting late or was very early in the morning, and about to rain, but there weren't really clouds, just these sort of smoky whisps of darkish blue...sort of like a Tim Burton atmosphere, really. Anyway, sort of away from the traintracks, there was this man. He was in almost Victorian dress, and looked fairly ragged, though the clothing was a bit fancy. His skin was really pale, made even moreso by the darkness of his clothes. He had black hair that went a little past his shoulders and was ever so slightly curled, and he had rather sharp features, such as very high and obvious cheekbones, and a pointed chin. His eyes were dark as well, but I couldn't make out their exact colour. He looked a little gaunt, but not sickly or anything. He was breaking these brick-things. I don't know what they were- they looked almost like cinderblocks, except that they didn't have the same texture or substance. They would shatter like glass when he threw them at the ground, but they seemed pliable somehow as well.
Anyways, this other fellow walked up to him. The second man was dressed all in black, had a mustache, and wore a short top-hat and overcoat. He looked sort of harsh, but just told the first man to hurry up in a polite tone, and handed him this funny-looking stick.
It looked vaguely like a broom handle, only a bit longer and made of wood. The first man started jabbing it into this pool of dark water, which would turn into shards of glass and move apart when the stick was inserted.
After that, it got kind of foggy. This woman came up and looked into the pool of water, and a third man arrived. They exchanged words, but I couldn't understand what they were saying. The third man and the first man started to get angry with each other, and then the dream ended.
I've also dreamed that some woman named Sarah was teaching me how to fence...
EDIT: I know why I kept dreaming about my cat being killed or injured now- apparently we have to get rid of him so we can move to a new place.

Re: Dreams
Last night I had my first proper nightmare in ages. I was literally happy to wake up this morning just so the dream would stop, and I don't even know why...Bris, if you've got any sort of insight as to what on Earth my subconscious is trying to say...*Giggles and shudders nervously*
Okay, so the dream starts with two people in a black car that looked kind of old, but not very. It was probably from the 90's or 80's, maybe 70's. I couldn't tell exactly what kind it was, but it was a pretty fancy looking machine. Anyway, it was driving around in the parking lot of what looked like an old boarding school, except that it wasn't a boarding school. It just looked like one. How I knew this and why it was important, I don't know, but oh well. So, basically, the car drives through this gate at one end of the parking lot- a sort of creepy looking gate, mind you- and they drive past all these dead trees. The sky's all grey/gray and cloudy, looking like it's both winter and about to rain. The continue driving until they reach the back of the building, at which point they wind up driving through a sort of alleyway, except it was a little too wide to be an alley, and the sky was no longer visible. There was a group of people at the dead end of the alley, several girls and boys, all looking to be teenage or possibly a little older. They were doing...something that they shouldn't have been doing. Or at least, two of them were. That's what it looked like, anyways...but the two people in the car, both of whom were sort of blurry, but both obviously female- except the driver, who was sort of switching between male and female at random, every time I saw him/her it was different...- just exchanged glances and put the car in reverse, and the driver told the passenger to just ignore what they had seen because it was bad but they couldn't do anything about it.
So they left the immediate area, parked the car, and went into the school-like building. At about this time in the dream, there was this atmosphere of...well...absolute terror, like there was some sort of threat, but nobody was talking about it. It was like there was some sort of approaching and violent danger, but no one could see it or hear it or even put a name to it, it was just this invisible feeling like something terrible was happening or was going to happen. It felt almost like blood had already been spilled, and everyone knew it was going to happen again but there wasn't anything to be done about it, so they were just waiting for it to happen.
The inside of the building appeared to be like a run down but very well-stocked library. And by run down I don't mean dirty or anything, it was just that there was this really thick atmosphere and it just felt wrong somehow, even though it was incredibly ornate.
The passenger who had been in the car consulted the driver for a few moments, I didn't hear what they were talking about, but they seperated. The driver went down a long hallway, I think, and the passenger went upstairs. Upstairs she found two older women, not seniour, exactly, but older than she was. They were milling about sort of randomly, looking at various books and discussing them amongst themselves. The passenger looked at the shelves for a little while, and it just started feeling worse and worse, like whatever was going to happen was going to happen, and eventually she sort of took a really really deep breath and went over to the two women and started talking to them.
The conversation was a weird one, and she kept pointing to pictures that were hanging on the walls. They looked like screenshots from films, and I think she was saying that they were films the women had been in. The women agreed that, yes, they were the subjects of the pictures, and the girl showed them a blank piece of paper.
It was terribly important for some reason.
Then the scene faded and it was nighttime, in the same building. Now, the building was made entirely of brick, and was several, several levels, basically a huge place with a very dark metal roof, and a slightly wet lawn, that went on at a light slope for a few metres from the back before it faded into this very ominous forest.
But inside the building, the feeling of dread was becoming more and more tangible. There was this guy, a sort of young guy, possibly around nineteen or twenty years old. I knew that even though I couldn't see him very well. It was dark, you see, very. very. dark. I could just make out that he was really quite pale, and had dark-ish hair. I couldn't tell what exactly he was wearing, but he had a blanket wrapped around his shoulders, and was wearing shoes. He was walking down this long hallway, several floors up in the building, and his breathing was really off, like he was trying hard not to totally freak out. He eventually came to a door, and opened it.
In the room there was a man, older than the first one, who seemed to think the first guy's visit was funny, although he looked a little frightened too. Something was trying to get into the building, I don't know what, but something was trying hard to get in, and they were both scared of whatever it was. The odd thing was, that there was no furniture in the room, none. It was just walls and a wooden floor that was a bit damp all over, slightly moldy, and very dirty. The walls were also made of wood, and they had an overall unpleasant look as well. There was one window, though, and some sleepingbag-like things on the floor. Two of them, even though the second man had clearly been surprised by the first guy showing up.
The window was open, and the first guy kind of lost it when he saw it. He immediately went to close the window, and he locked it once he had, but he must have seen whatever was trying to get in, because he looked completely horrified and transfixed, and just kept looking out the window even though he wanted, so badly, to look away. The second man told him something about the screen needing to be fixed, on the outside of the window.
The first guy said there was no way he was opening the window again to fix the screen, because whatever was out there would get in the moment he opened the window, but the second guy insisted, so the first one eventually gave in and unlocked the window. It was hard to get the lock undone, and he hurt himself somehow, but ignored it and got the window open, and reached through the gap to do something to the screen outside, then he immediately closed the window and locked it again, but by then whatever had been trying to get in was directly under the window.
Literally, as in, it was right there, not even on the ground anymore. I couldn't see it- it still seemed totally invisible, but it saw the two guys, and it was watching them. The second man wouldn't look at it, but the first guy just couldn't look away.
Annnnnd then I woke up, terrified. I've not been that freaked by a dream ever. Even the Cody dreams didn't scare me that much, and I don't even know why this dream was scary.

Re: Dreams
Interesting dream Curf. Very interesting. Well after studying it I think that the nightmare reflects the upcoming move and your feelings about it. The overcast sky, combined with the car driving through a gate signify a transition in life, a transition that you yourself can't really control (The Passenger represents you and the Driver probably represents your parents and/or the people involved in the move) and brings feelings of sorrow and/or anger. (Loosing your cat for your new apartment for example) The alleyway also signifies that your options are limited, and you are at a dilemma in your waking life. Maybe the driver was emphasizing your choices by saying that "It was bad but there was nothing you could do." Then the part about the building seems to emphasize your raw feelings towards the issue. Fear seems to play a particular role; the fear that you feel towards the day that will come where you will have to give away your pet. You know that you don't want it to happen, but you expect it, and you feel it coming as if it's inevitable, but you also want to avoid it. You seek knowledge and personal experience to see if you can think your way around the issue, (entering the library) but you feel as if even then none of the information it would provide would be of any help. (the off feeling about it, and the depressing feeling that comes when the passenger flips through the books) The passenger talking with the two women could signify seeking out the help and advice of others, though I can't determine anything related from the fact that they were actors. Then you showed them a blank piece of paper that was deemed to be very important. A blank piece of paper can signify a desire to be more expressive through creative works such as writing and art, or you want to learn to be more communicative. Your subconscious seems to want you to focus on that. The scene with the empty room, the window, and the unknown threat again emphasizes the upcoming events and your feelings towards it. A dream that takes place at night signifies that again transitions are being made; The death of a previous way of life giving way to a new one. The whole scene seems to focus on the conflict within your own mind as you look out and see the impending change, the thing you fear happening. You repair and shut the window, meaning you could be trying to emotionally detach yourself so as to minimize the damage done from this transition. It's going to be a hard stage in life giving your pet away just like that, and your dream shows much about how you feel and how you're dealing with it. I know what it's like loosing a pet you've kept for a long time, and it's a very bad experience. I don't blame you for the feelings you have, and all I can say is that I hope you can get through it okay. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Anyways, I did it! I achieved a Lucid Dream last night! (Lucid dreaming is where you are aware that you are dreaming, and as a result can control most if not all the dream with practice; something I've been trying to do for months) I've finally found the key to it through these bineural beats (sound frequencies that your brain waves sync with to create a desired mental state) custom made to induce it and it really works. However, when I did get it last night, it was very much of a "Yes! It worked! . . . Now what do I do?" kind of feeling. The dream took on a huge sense of realism, fooling me into believing that I was already awake. Did things for a few hours, and then take a hot bath because my back was a bit sore. However, in the bath, the water suddenly got cold, so I reached for the nozzle to get some warm water back, but when I reached up, the nozzle was gone. There was just wall there. And then I looked down, and my right leg had suddenly changed to wood. Right there I muttered: "Okay, now this has got to be a dream." and boom, I realized that I was dreaming! Yet then I became so perplexed by the wooden leg and the missing nozzle that I basically spent the entire rest of the dream wondering how to change it back and experimenting with my leg and the wall for no reason until I lost lucidity and woke up. I'll probably be able to do more tomorrow night, but that was such a weird and cool experience. And if I can learn to control things in my dreams, hoh boy, bedtime will be one of the highlights of the day. Equestria here I come!

Re: Dreams
Does it count as lucid dreaming if you weren't able to control what was happening?
...Although I guess it sort of does if you were able to remember so many details. Why Equestria? Do you secretly wish you had a pink mane and tail?

Lucid dreaming is only defined as being aware that you are dreaming. The ability to control it usually comes with practice. Not pink exactly. . . Though I would want to visit with a certain pony with pink hair. Mostly I'll go there just see my favorite characters from the show and hang out, just because I can. I want to do so many things. . . I don't know where to start. Curfewdawn wrote: O.O Oh, Bris...that interpretation was awesome...very. Awesome. ^:^ Thanks. That bineural beat sequence for the dreams also came with a bunch of other frequencies. I was listening to one that causes deep thinking and inspiration while writing it. I swear, this stuff is legit and it works. Tonight I'll continue on and see if I can do it again.

Not really, but I can see why you would think that. I basically have been the family therapist for 10 or so years. (listening to everyone's personal troubles and providing advice)
If you want the bineural beat file I can email it to you if you want. (I actually pirated it because they normally make you pay every time you listen to the file.) You will have to download a program called SBaGen first though. (Google search it)

Re: Dreams
Sweet! I'm getting better at the lucid dreaming. Apparently I first have a dreamless sleep most of the night, but then I wake up at midnight in a state where I can consciously fall back into a lucid dream. (I think it's called the WILD method. . . I'm not sure.) Last night I achieved lucidity again and this time I made it to my goal of meeting the Mane 6 ponies and introduced myself. It was all fun and warm like I wanted. . . until they all started looking at me strangely. I ask what's going on and a piece of paper appears in my hand. It had the word "CLOPFICTION" written on it. (Clop is a term amongst bronies for. . . naughty things ) Realizing what they were going to do, I raised my hands, said "NOPE. NOT DOING THIS." and fell backwards. (a way of waking yourself up from a Lucid Dream) In Lucid dreams, sometimes a small element can go out of your control, and if you want to save yourself from it making you lose lucidity and it possibly becoming a nightmare, either fall backwards to wake yourself up, or if you want to risk it, spin around once. Be careful though, while spinning lengthens dream time and increases lucidity, it basically resets the dream so you'll end up somewhere completely unexpected and unrelated. I would have tried to spin, but I forgot.

Re: Dreams
The night before last I had an odd dream that mostly just involved three instances of moldy bread...*Raises eyebrows* For some reason it was really freaking me out, but then the third time I didn't find out that the bread had mold on it until after I'd eaten some of it...
I kind of have a basic idea of what it might mean, but I know nothing about dreams and stuff so...*Shrugs*
Last night was a more 'normal' dream that just involved some people and myself at Art Camp. Love Art Camp dreams ^:^

Re: Dreams
Okay, ever since I've learned how to lucid dream, my dream world has become a battleground. Every fandom has a dark side, and Bronies are by far no exception. The nightmarish grimdark counterparts from the darkest depths of the fandom have somehow manifested within my subconscious and have become the antagonists of my dreams. Every night I've nearly fallen victim to one of them, and I usually find that I'm forcing myself to wake up to escape unspeakable fates. I even drew a picture of these 8 nightmares: (warning, scary and bloody imagery) http://fc02.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2012/ ... 517di1.pngI'm terrified now, but I'm still going lucid to do battle against these monstrosities. Maybe my subconscious is telling me to master them to master myself?

I've been so tired from moving that I haven't been able to Lucid Dream lately, but I have kept a bit of a dream journal for whenever I can remember my dreams.
In one of them, there was this girl in a room, and she was all alone. The walls were dark gray, and the floor was a cream colour with a dark wooden border. There was no furniture. She, the girl, was sort of dressed up in a scarlet skirt and shoes, and had a really girly white shirt on (Puffy sleeves at the shoulders). She was totally panicked, and had a stethoscope that she was using to check her own pulse, except she couldn't find one.

Re: Dreams
I use to dream about things that I were thinking about, books i were rading, and other stuff like that.
I rembember the most of my dreams, and i like it it's like traveling to world you feel happy in, and to be in another one's role.
For example, I mean, when you start sleeping, you suddenly wake up in a little farm, and you go to carvahall like if you always knew what to do, and then, you have the adventure you want.
When it happens to me, i get sad when dream finishes.
I could say that I've been in Alagaesia! XD
i think it's called "lucid dream", and I love it.

Re: Dreams
So. Last night some friends and I went to go see a movie. On our way going into the theater only me and one other person saw a shooting star. A few days ago (I think sometime last week) I saw my first two shooting stars on the same night. I thought it was really weird because I live in a really crowded place and that was just too awesome to be real.
Dream: I was working at some club or place owned by some Mob. I was the lowest cleaner person with no real responsibilities and on the second day everyone else (all 3 people) were fired and new people were hired which put me on top; excluding the Mob people. So I was in charge of the money and stuff.
On my way into work (it was nighttime) I saw a shooting star and I thought it was super cool (It was a little bit bigger than the ones I saw IRL) but when it got closer to the horizon it sort of exploded like how a firework looks and fell straight to Earth. Then it started happening slowly more frequently all over the sky (Close to where I was) and a towering cloud of smoke came billowing across everything and I rushed into my work place.
For some reason it was on the same street as my Gramma's house and my mom was closer to there than usual and I was freaking out that they wouldn't be able to get to the building I was in. All the while the 3 new people were sleeping/ lazing about and the Mob members were getting ready for some Apocolypse.
Strange things happen when I sleep. :I
