The day in Narda was halfway through and the sun was at it's highest. The streets were heaving with people pushing, shouting, arguing and generally trying to buy lunch, or get home for the heat of the day. It was the perfect time for a lazy nap in the sun. In a minute, most market stalls would be closed for midday, so the noisy yelling of the burly merchants trying to sell off their wares would soon cease. A young boy was sitting against a wall fiddling with a twig pointlessly. A moment ago, he had been scratching it along the floor for a large black cat to chase, but it seemed to be bored by now, and wandered off to look for a spot of sun where it would be undisturbed for an hour or two. A mad hurried by with a stack of sacks- probably some kind of vegetable in them, and didn't see the cat. By the time he noticed this large black object wandering up the street, it was too late and he tripped. He cat yowled and hissed angrily at him, whilst the young boy darted out and grabbed as many of the fallen vegetables as he could. He then scuttled away into a side street, as the cat loped up the main road and into a different place. It soon spotted a secluded corner flooded with sunlight next to a bench. In anticipation of a long comfortable rest, the cat quickened its pace, eager to reach the spot. As soon as it was there, the cat curled into a ball, wrapping its tail around itself, and lazily closed its eyes. Its black fur rapidly absorbed the sunlight, and the cat was asleep.

Erais saw the cat. She smiled. She then walked over to it. She sat down, and waited for it to wake up.

Such a pretty werecat. She thought to herself.

She then let the sunlight stream on her face. It felt good to relax.

Lyla opened one eye lazily. Somebody was blocking here sunlight. Slightly annoyed, but too lazy to do anything about it, she heaved herself to her feet and padded away a few feet, leaving deep, wide paw prints in the dust. As she settled down again, the sun stroked her thick fur comfortingly and she arched her back in content. She noticed the woman still watching her as she settled down in the soothing heat, but thought nothing of it. Ignoring the person, she wearily allowed her eyes to close, and felt safe and comfortable in the heat of the day.

Erais stayed where she was. Just wanting to let her get sleep. Then she would ask her question to the werecat.

Well, at least she didn't run off. She thought.

She then closed her eyes. Keeping her senses open, so she wouldn't be caught unaware. Her silver hair dancing in the slight breeze.

Lyla shifted on the spot. She had been laying in one place for almost half an hour now, and the market was soon bound to come back to life, and the noise and confusion would return. She was reluctant to get up, for she was annoyingly aware that the person was still sitting near her. She wondered why she didn't go home, or do something else, but finally decided she didn't care at all. Stretching her jaw wide, she yawned and stretched leaving deep claw gashes in the soft ground. Just as she turned to pad away and search for a drink, Lyla noticed something. The woman, who looked barely more than a girl, was different. There was something not quite normal about her, something not completely human. Curiosity overwhelmed her, and she froze, and narrowed her eyes, glaring at the woman.

Why are you glaring at me? Erais asked through mental link.

She then opened her eyes. She looked down at the werecat.

"I would like your help, and I am not human so you can stop staring at me. I am part elf part dark elf." Erais said.

She was a bit amused. She then stood up, brushing the dirt from her clothes. She was taller then what she would be if she was a human. She then knelt down to level her face with Lylas. Her odd eyes shining.

Lyla pulled back her top lip in a sly smile, showing her unnaturally sharp fangs. Normally, she would have strutted away, ignoring her, but she wanted to know more. Lyla sat, aware that the woman was no threat, and took her time licking the back of her paw. He right ear twitched as if flicking off an invisible fly, testing the woman's patience. She assumed she was a rider because of the mental link and the power that surrounded and filled her mind. Lyla purred lazily and replied
I knew you were different. Her green eyes met the woman's.
What is it exactly you wanted? She said slowly, flicking her tail every so often.

Well, I need help finding something that I have lost. I will tell you as soon as we are far from here. She told Lyla. Oh, I am Erais.

She then stood up. Waiting, until Lyla was ready. She felt very calm at the moment. Which is unusual. She is normaly yelling at someone.

Will you help me? She asked.

Her cloak was being tossed in the wind. She then quickly pulled her hood up. The market began to get busy.

Lyla flicked her tail through the air, before asking bluntly.
Where are you going? Ignoring the questions she had been asked. Lyla knew that Erais was trustworthy, but the werecat liked independence. She didn't tend to travel with anyone, and never wished to. She knew at the moment though, that she had nothing to do- maybe giving somebody a bit of assistance might provide some excitement for a while. She then looked back at Erais, waiting for her reply. She could see that she was tolerable, and understood her attitude which might appear rude to some.

This was Tara's second day in the town. She wasn't quite enjoying the crowd but at least it wasn't hard to find a shelter and food..

"Grrl.." oops! That was her stomach gurling. Tara frowned and thought, 'I should get something to eat,' and she flew to a nearby stall which was selling bread. The shop-lady was unaware of her presence.. no wonder, since she's only a 15 cm tall and very good at hiding. She carefully headed to the bread pile and ripped a huge piece of it. She hold the bread and smiled gleefully. Feeling it was not save to eat there, she brought it with her to a tree top.

Tara was about to finish half of her bread when two birds came and greeted her. Tara welcome them with a big smile, "Hello!" she said. "You guys want some?"
The birds chirping gratefully and Tara split her bread into two and gave each to them. "Say," Tara started a conversation, "Do you know what place is this? Coz' I just arrived here from a faraway place.. and I don't have a clue for where I am." So she explained what happened to her. The birds listened while they were eating, and after Tara's finished her story they started to tell her the truth about this world.

Tara was listening with astonishment as the two birds talking about The King, the dragons, elves, dwarfs, and so on and so on. "Really?? That's amazing!" her cheeks getting rosy because of excitement. "In my place there was only the Lost Boys and the Pirates, AND us fairies!"

One of the birds told her something that made Tara raised her eyebrows. She looked down and try searching for something the birds just mentioned. There!

A lady and a... cat. Werecat? Tara grinned with excitement. "I see! Bye guys!" Tara flew away. But then she stopped and went back, "Oh! And thanks a lot!" The birds chirped as to say 'you're welcome'

Tara took a long way circling the two objects, and approached them from behind. She came really close to the cat, and without notice she swifted really fast and get in front of her face in less than a second.

"Howdy!" she grinned.

Blake was strolling through the markets, they had just reopened and it was his favorite place in the city. Not only because it just felt so filled with life, but it was also a great place to get lost in a crowd. He was walking into the market and bought a piece of fruit. He walked around munching on the fruit when he passed bye a girl with silver hair, his sub-concious knew it was a Elf but he didn't think much of it at the time. Also with a cat, and a little golden light, Wait....A little golden LIGHT? He turned around and started to trail the cat, Elf, and golden light.

Ioksok sat at the scared wood table in the farthest cornner of the tavern, he looked down into his beer and sighed. Ioksok looked around and pushed his chair out and stood up, tossing some coins out on to the table, as he walked out into the blazing sunlight and stifiling heat.
Ioksok walked down the crowded road with the paticular gait of a swordsmen. The bright colors and loud noises hurt his head. Ioksok took his hand from his hilt and rubbed his head, and yawnd, "What's going on?" he asked himself as he moved through the crowed with a fluid grace.

Erais watched the were-cat with some interest, thinking out her reply, but it honestly didn't need thinking out. No where in particular, I overheard some men talking in a Tavern and this item I discovered by their description I found out that it belongs to me. I don't think it is wise for us both to be seen together in one place for long. Might raise suspician. Erais took to talking through her mind, not wanting people to overhear.

She noticed a small glowing thing up in some trees but didn't take notice, she was taken by surprise when something said 'Howdy' she looked down to see the same glowing thing, only it seemed to be a rather small fairy.

"Hello, what would you be doing here?" She asked the fairy.

Whilst mentally noting Erais' predicament, Lyla blinked in astonishment. At first, she had presumed the tiny fairy to simply be a glint off of a piece of glass or metal elsewhere- reflecting the light. However, when she spoke, Lyla realised what it was.

Gracefully, she parted her lips in a welcoming smile that seemed almost too friendly to be convincing. It was so difficult to stop herself batting at the delicate little creature with one huge furry paw... just like chasing butterflies.

The place was becoming more crowded by the minute as people returned from lunch breaks, and somebody was bound to notice this strange scene.

Composing herself regally, Lyla relaxed and went into her more human frame of mind, resisting the urge to make a fool of herself.
Hello. she grinned warmly, speaking telepathically to the fairy.
I didn't notice you before. I was unaware such dainty creatures as yourself ever settled in Alagaesia.
