Another thing that makes me think is how they're gonna make the special effects. We're all fans of this show, and we all know how much action and bending there is. The question is, how are they going to show all of that in the movie? What if it turns out looking all corny and cheap? _________________

I have a good feeling when it comes to special effects though. I've seen a lot of movies lately with amazing effects, so obviously The Last Airbender should be somewhat like them. _________________

Re: avatar rocks Yeah, definitely, you said it lol. M. Night Shyamalan's other movies have had good effects too, so we can expect something good from The Last Airbender. I also want to see how the characters pull off the action moves. Aang's character is pretty much set, and Jackson Rathbone (Sokka's actor) will probably be pretty good. Besides, Sokka doesn't do as much martial arts anyway. But Jesse and Katara's actress, Nichole Paltzman, don't seem to have it in them. We'll have to wait and see what they're capable of, but I can't imagine it that well for some reason.

Re: avatar rocks Well They do a lot of training for these types of movies.... just as an example we were watching dodgeball in school one day and we put in the extra scenes disk and they had something about training for the movie.... 3 weeks of training just to learn how to play dodgeball.... i cant imagine the training for this

He even said wind instead of air. I know they're basically the same thing, but they never called the element "wind" in the show. Maybe he got up there and decided to say a bunch of random words..  You're right, he probably wants to give us a good impression to make it seem like he was a good choice for the role (not saying he wasn't a good choice). From my point of view, his physical appearance matches Sokka's pretty well. The only two aspects are skin color and his smile. His skin can be altered with make-up though, but his smile.. maybe he'll find a way to make it fit. _________________

He definitely doesn't like the show and was making a lot of stuff up, but there's two other things we got from that video: his appearance and his eagerness in playing a less-serious character. In that interview, his hair looked kinda curly, just like Sokka's when its down. And it wouldn't look that bad if he died it brown. The other thing is that he said that he wanted to play a character that was less serious than Jasper in Twilight and also said he could show his "range in personality". Maybe he's more of a funny guy and would fit nicely for the role of Sokka. I'm still worried about his skin tone though... _________________

I mean, come on. So what if he's Asian? He's Indian! The Fire Nation is Japanese if they haven't noticed. That just makes no sense! Not being racist here, but, he's brown! No one in the Fire Nation is Indian-looking at all! Plus he's not at all muscular or athletic-looking. Just cause that Slumdog movie got like 8 Golden Globe awards doesn't mean that the main character can suddenly go about ruining poor little kid's images of the Fire Nation Prince. |

Just proves to show how amazing a show it is.fanghur: Yeah, they never show it here either, but, like Arya (Svit-kona) said, they show it often on Nicktoons Network, so if you have that, keep an eye out for it on there. There's one thing we know for sure though: it'll be worth seeing. Re: avatar rocks Ha ha have you not been looking at the last 20 pages? Anyways: Avatar is the best cartoon, you can't even put it in a category. Drama? Comedy? Action? Romance? It's all of those, and a lot more. The characters all have different emotions, and they all show a different vantage point on life. It's amazing. You never know whats coming next, will Zuko kill Aang or join him? Will Tosh teach Aang? Will Katara and Aang ever be? Of course we know all the answers by now, but when you watch the series these and a million other questions go through your mind, making you always want more. That's just my opinon though.

Though, I don't want to go on and sound like I'm hating  LOL this had nothing to do with Elfen Lied, I just wanted to see what seperates this show from most ^.^ I could babble on and on and on about Elfen Lied, which I've refrained from doing. Re: avatar rocks hmm... so what do you think of Dev Patel? i think him and Jesse are about equal on their level of resemblance... Dev Patel is at least somewhat closer to Zuko in race, but has no physical resemblance... and Jesse had no racial similarity whatsoever...
